    Losing no sleep

This thread will follow the development of Julissa "Misfit" Espinoza.
  2. In the early 1990s, KAM, or "Krazy Ass Mexicans," did the unheard-of in El Burro Heights. "They started out as a simple tagging crew that nobody thought anything about," Mr. Torres said, slowing the S.U.V. down a notch. "But right where we are now, two old established gangs, Fudge Lane Travieosos and Vicky's Town, tried to pressure the crew to join their gangs. But the nondescript group fought back. Amazingly, KAM eventually pushed out both steadfast gangs, taking over the whole neighborhood-~-something El Burro Heights had never experienced before." Today, they are one of the most aggressive gangs on the Eastside of Los Santos. The violence never really died down. KAM has had to continually defend its turf from older gangs like Big Hazard, State Street and Gage Maravilla, but the Krazy Ass Mexicans held their ground. "They're surrounded by enemies, but they maintain their territory. And they have a huge territory. The big guys didn't anticipate they'd fight back. But that's what they did. They were--and still are--well-structured and smart," said Mr. Torres, sitting back behind the wheel.
  3. Isaac "SLEAZY" Armenta Isaac Armenta was born in Los Santos (Vespucci) on December 9th 2003. Although he isn't originally from South Davis (Chamberlain Hills), he spent a lot of time as a kid in the complexes and eventually ended up going to Davis High School due to him being kicked out of most schools in the district. He is loosely affiliated with multiple gangs, main one being Chamberlain Varrio Tortilla Flats X3. Due to the upcoming Malos Clique dominating the territory as past cliques end up turning defunct, he still actively represents Malos Chicos (YG Generation 13-20) and Midget Dukes (OG Generation 25-30+). Growing up he would spent a lot of his time at his grandmothers home which was located in Strawberry Ave/Carson Ave, he could be seen getting into fights after school and tagging walls with amateur graffiti. He is known among the hood as a regular jail-bird, he is often in-and-out of West-Lake and Los Santos County Juvenile Hall.
  4. 1380 Projects The 1380 Projects has filled up with gang activity, drug distribution, and gun distribution. The 1380 Apartments was structured to be a high quality complex, yet it was taken over by local street gangs. Making the area look deteriorated. People that originally lived here, mostly wealthy people, and being terrorized by the local street gangs enforcing their presents and distribution. Growing up in the Village Due to the area being so small, and somewhat highly populated. A lot of crime and interactions were happening within the street gangs of South Los. Living here, you'd either be forced into drug activity, a tagging crew, or common break-ins. Being placed into a situation like this and growing up in such a gang infested area, most people do anything for money, this includes, prostitution, drugs distribution, 9-5 jobs, and so on. 1380 Gang Activity The area consistent of; 55 Bunch, Playboys Gangsters, Segundo Village Swan Bloods, Segundo Samoan Piru, 59 Hoover Criminal, and much more. Modern Day Treinta Y Ocho The 38th Street Gang being the oldest Sureno gangs in Los Santos, going in and out of wars, defending, and attacking. Placing themselves into horrible positions but still standing through all of these years, getting exposed, doing exposes and regular hit-ups on enemies' areas. Usually waking up to shots flying through their neighborhood. With the South Side being active, most of the attention was focused on the East Side of LS. The internet beef was popping from time with the Pueblo Bishop Bloods, being the most disrespectful they could be. In 2001, an 38th Street Member, Jose Velasquez and 15 other affiliates were saw by two rival African American gang members, both splitting up and going two different ways, placing themselves in front of and behind Jose. Once done, shots fired off from the South and the North. Jose decided to dash away from the area, meanwhile Maria Villalvazo a 30 year old woman, was awaked soon after, she decided to walk over to her window and one of the bullets got sent into the apartment building; Maria was struck and died shortly after. During this going on, one of the African American's got hit in the crossfire from the North, wounding the one on the South afterwards. The other African American ran over to him, helping him up off the floor, and they both fled from the area. In 2009, another 38th Street Member armed himself with a semi-auto handgun, and made his way to the area of Pueblo Bishop Bloods. Parking himself in the area, he decided to hop out of the car, and start firing shots at a group of men standing in the Pueblo Del Rio area, striking two people. Jesse McWayne was shot in the back from the handgun, leaving him dead. Soon after, jogging away from Del Rio, he hops back in his car and speeds away. Not even a hour later after Jesse was left dead, Francisco Cornelio was at a car wash and two men hopped out of a car, lighting up the vehicle Francisco was in. Francisco had no gang affiliations and was shot and killed infront of his 2 year old son. Frontline Chinoz Clika The Frontline Chinoz is a younger generation and started out as a school group doing regular bad ass kid things, skipping school, ditching class, pulling the fire alarm, smoking in the bathrooms, and etc. Most of the kids within the group were affiliated members with 38TH, meaning the other kids in the group were seen as affiliates also. Fights within Innocence High sprung through the roof, kids getting suspended left and right due to the opposition wars within learning period. Making their transition into the streets, the group made themselves known quickly by their large friend group. The group lived around the 1380 Project area. The 38th Street Gang being somewhat active in the area, and the 59 Hoovers being in the area. The Frontline Chinoz was able to bring more life into the area while most of the originals lay back and dry out. Bumping into 59 Hoovers in the process, most run-ins ended up with fist fights, and shootouts within the area. The Frontline Chinoz spend most of their time marking up their projects with blue and black spray paint, usually crossing out 59's affiliations. They are also known to place balloons around areas to mark that they've been there. Lady Chicaz The birth of the Lady Chicaz started with the late Serena Montes, born to the great-grandson of the 38th Street gang, Carlos Montes. She grew up in the 70's a time where the racism was at a high. With their family being one of the most populated street-gangs at the time. Serena was able to attend school due to her being born in America as a citizen, unlike her family members in their early days. Serena was the first Lady Chicaz, which started in the 1990s, growing up with her friend-group which wanted to be down with the 38th Gang. Serena was allowed to join the gang at any time, she eventually did her street business earning her name is Lady Diabla in her hood. She made the clique with two other ladies "Lady Simba" (Maria Rodriguez), and "Miss Eight" (Sofia Jiménez). The clique has been around for a long time with the modern day always praising Diabla and her group which started the active clique.
  5. E/S Clover Gang was originally formed by a group of Sureno's that had formed a small reputation within the street of Brouge Avenue, after both Front Street Watts Crips and the 103 Hard Time Hustler Crips were totally wiped from the local region, upon their dissipation one of the remaining jumped in set members had decided to reform the set on Brouge Avenue with the help of the local community, the rifa formed together through their life experiences and ultimately ended out forming as a gang of Sureno youths. East Side Pueblo Bishop Bloods are a predominately African-American street gang based in the Roy Lowstein region, Davis in a community known as the Low Bottoms. They have been active in that area since the early 1970s before the Blood identity was even forged. Prior to Black gang resurgence during the very early 1970s, there was a gang in the area called Pueblo Players that was active since the 1950s. Upon reaching out to one another, and establishing a deep bond, both the E/S Clover Gang and the East Side Pueblo Bishop Bloods had decided to effectively merge both of their sets together, the Pueblo Bishop Bloods control Roy Lowstein Boulevard whilst Eastside Clover Gang hold control over Brouge Avenue, both sets are currently defunct and are ultimately working together side by side flying green and red rags with one another. -- OOC Information -- This faction will follow the development of both the E/S Clover Gang & the East Side Pueblo Bishop Bloods, both sets currently operate on both Roy Lowstein Boulevard & Brouge Avenue, for anyone interested in learning more about the faction, you can find out more on our official discord https://discord.gg/4Scz2xTgKZ
  6. 18th Street Many look at 18th Street as one monolithic super-gang whether its on a local, national or international scale but 18th Street is more of an identity that several unconnected neighborhoods fall under. Similar to the Crip or Blood identity, 18th Street is not one gang. Even on a micro scale in Los Santos, the 20 different 18th Street gangs do not operate as one, are not unified, nor do they even all know each other, so they should be looked at as individual independent autonomous gang neighborhoods. There are those different 18th Street neighborhoods that interact and socialize with each other because of close geographic proximity but most 18th Street factions are dispersed through out the County and each neighborhood has their own specific territory and their own unique enemies. Some of the 18th Street neighborhoods even have a unique name, such as the 18th Street gang in Vinewood; 18th Street Vinewood Gangsters, which is not a click name, but the actual name of the gang. The clicks that fall under that gang are the Tiny Locos and Pee Wee Winos. Since its inception, youth from every large city in the US, Canada, Mexico and countries in Central & South America America, Europe and most likely several other cities and countries have adapted the use of the name 18th Street. Because of the wide spread popularity, the FBI has labeled this gang a transnational gang with global reach, but there is no evidence to support the existence of any such global network in which the 18th Street gang operates between cities or across national borders. Because of deportation, the gang culture of LS was introduced into Mexico and Central America, but transnational linkages in which the 18th Street gang operate have not been uncovered thus far. A study from 2007 found that international connections among Hispanic gangs like 18th Street and Mara Salvatrucha were over stated and that there were no signs of transnational coordination among gang members. Academic studies have also fell short from identifying these types of networks among Los Santos based Hispanic gangs. ((Out of Character Information)) We are portraying a realistic eighteen street clique located on Fudge Lane & Amarillo Vista in El Burro Heights. We encourage everyone who wants to roleplay with the faction to get familiar with Sureños and Mexican-American gangs in the United States. Those who are interested can forum pm myself for further instructions and questions. This faction is invite only, those who wish to participate in the development should forum pm me!

  9. Isaiah's upbringing was similar to most of his friends, his father had little to do with him for most of his life, spending most of his time at home with his struggling mother who worked multiple jobs to keep the lights on in their home. Therefore, he was left to do whatever he wished from a young age. Most of his friends, began hanging around the local gang of his neighbourhood; Vista Locos 13. He would soon follow suit, and start making himself known to the OGs of the gang and ending up becoming a well known tag artist in the El Burro Heights area.. He was jumped into the clique, Dozer Lokos around the age of thirteen. School has always been a struggle for Isaiah, rarely spending any of his time there. Usually getting into fights, when he does attend. His mother would try to get him to attend when she was not at work, but the pair would rarely see each other due to Isaiah rarely going home, when she is able to be there due to work. His motives lie elsewhere. He now finds himself sixteen, and put on to the set. Most of the older members of the gang are currently incarcerated, leaving the remaining few to step up. Isaiah, being one of them. This thread will follow the story of Isaiah 'Goblin' Jimenez, a young gangbanger from Amarillo Vista, El Burro Heights.
  10. The story of Joseph "Sneaky" Grajeda Joseph Grajeda wasn't the type of kid for gangbanging. When he was younger, he focused more on education rather than most other children within El Burro. He had his future planned out before himself, wishing to go into a BA once he finished school, however his plans were cut short after the death of his father, the man who supplied his entire household financially. Joseph was forced to move-in with his grand-parents with his mother and brother, who barely managed to pay for Joseph's education. He fell into a period of depression, bunking classes in order to hang out with James Lara, who was one of his best friends at the time. James was a horrible influence on Joseph, involving them both with the local Vista Locos gang, which had been run under Hector "Dozer" Lara, James' older brother. The duo immediately began skipping weeks of school at a time, practically living at the trap house. In grade 8, Joseph completely failed his semester, pushing him back a year, however at this point, Joseph's only interests were the gang. He influenced his brother into joining the gang, leaving their mother and grandparents' care. The duo eventually got put onto the Vista Locos 13 gang, Joseph due to his ability to easily evade the local police department (which racked him his placa as Sneaky) and his brother due to his fighting skills. The duo slumped further into the gang lifestyle as they climbed higher up the gang's structure. Joseph, who at 18 years old, was given complete responsibility of the gang by Hector "Dozer" Lara, who had constantly been a father figure for Joseph.
  11. This thread will follow the the development and characterisation of Eduardo Pintos Carret, a youthful resident of Bridge Street as the encounters the strong presence of the infamous El Monte Flores gang. I. Origins Eduardo Felipe Pintos Carreto was born in Guadalajara Mexico. He lived in La Estancia with his mother, grandmother aunt and three nephews. La Estancia, a leafy suburb of the Mexican city of Guadalajara. At the time the neighborhood was dominated by gangs such as Florencia 13. The women who raised Eduardo often forbid him to go outside, shielding him from the gang activity seen on the streets of Guadalajara. Eduardo never realized the existence of any of these gangs in the early years of his life. II. A better life After years of struggle to make ends meet, Eduardo's mother got an opportunity presented to immigrate to the United States of America. When Eduardo was 9 years old his mother was granted a work visa to reside in the state of Arizona. Eduardo didn't want to leave his family members and friends behind, but he had no choice. His mother explained to him that they were on their way to a better life in a country that's more safe which provides more opportunities for their future. They settled in Phoenix Arizona, it didn't take long for Eduardo to feel at home as he easily met new friends, mostly Mexican immigrant kids who also spoke Spanish. After 8 months of living in the States, Eduardo's mother could see the end of her visa getting closer. She met an American male called Henry who often visited them and helped them financially. It didn't take long before Henry married Eduardo's mother, allowing her to request a greencard for her and her son. III. Los Santos After 5 years of marriage the financial situation of Henry changed, he lost his job and started drinking more. The relationship with Eduardo's mother became more abusive as he started prohibiting her and her son from going out or doing daily stuff. He would lock them in their home, beating them over minor or imaginary problems. Eduardo, who was 15 at the time, would often sneak out the house to smoke marijuana with friends and to escape from the reality at home. He would start shoplifting to get cash. When Eduardo turned 17 he was already indulging in occasional home invasions, breaking into cars and shoplifting. When one of the store owners in their neighborhood caught Eduardo he didn't call the police. He brought Eduardo to his parents, because he taught that'd have a better effect on him. Eduardo got beat so severely by his stepdad that his mother decided to leave the house the next day and move out, she couldn't take it anymore. They ended up in a small apartment on Bridge Street, Los Santos. IV. A better life 2.0 Having left and divorced her husband, Eduardo's mother took a nanny job in Los Santos. She'd be away from home most of the time, trying to make ends meet. Eduardo on the other hand was going to high school, where he got good grades, but eventually got kicked out for breaking into lockers. He took a job at a pizza delivery, but his stint at the pizzeria was short lived as the owner caught him smoking weed in between deliveries. He started hanging around on Bridge Street where he met a local named Risky. Eduardo who's then 19 explained his situation to the local teen. He offered help by giving Eduardo cocaine which he was supposed to sell for him. Eduardo didn't think twice and saw this as an opportunity. He got quickly introduced to other local teens who called themselves El Monte Flores. Eduardo is a confident, smart, tall boy, which allowed him to quickly make friends with the others. He quickly learned they were all in similar positions as he was, such as a local named Alonso. Alonso baptized Eduardo to Tarzan, due to his big thick curls. V. Becoming Tarzan Not long after dropping out of high school, Tarzan was getting groomed by the local El Monte Flores gang. He started to get close with locals who would pursue him into doing illegal activities with them. Tarzan's mothers final situation was as bad as ever, which resulted in Tarzan not having to think twice before committing crimes. It started with petty theft, going around stores shoplifting whatever they could get their hands on. Tarzan also quickly became familiar with gang violence, as he figured out when they came face to face with the Piru's. Tarzan was involved in a brawl in a so called Piru neighborhood a few blocks away. Not long into the fight several police cars pulled up to the scene, which led into a chase on foot with Tarzan and the officers. It didn't take long before the officers caught him on his flip flops. The officers figured Tarzan had a clean record and released him to walk home after a short interrogation. Having kept his mouth shut he showed the local gang members and affiliates he was down for the cause. Tarzan got introduced to Wicked, the shot caller of El Monte Flores. He took Tarzan shopping, paying for his whole outfit. Something that definitely impressed Tarzan, he saw right there what he wanted to become. VI. Gaining respect After Tarzan got familiar with the gang culture, he started to get more deeply involved in crime. Mainly in car theft and drug dealing, in which he showed his true criminal qualities. Tarzan was a quick learner, he realized that his actions would only gain him money and respect from the gang. His activities didn't go unnoticed as gang leader Wicked decided that Tarzan was going to have to bring in money for the gang now. A weekly tax of $2,000 became Tarzan's objective, which made him get only deeper involved in criminal activities. Tarzan witnessed first hand that the gang life could be a short lived one. He was taken on a robbery where he saw one of his friends die in front of his eyes. One day Tarzan was sitting in a stolen car by himself when suddenly a gang member named Scrappy jumped in his car. He convinced Tarzan to smuggle some contents into the TTCF jail, promising him to become an official member of the gang after he comes back. Something they'd call getting put on. VII. Gaining respect 2.0 Tarzan made sure he got arrested on a vandalism charge, having cocaine and a Nokia phone inside him. He was told to look for a person named Quatro. Not long after Tarzan got introduced his cell, a bald hispanic male clad in several gang affiliated tattoo's knocked on his window. He introduced himself to Tarzan and made sure his paperwork got checked out by a fellow Sureño gang member. Tarzan got introduced to Quatro after his paperwork proved he wasn't a snitch. He had successfully smuggled in some valuable contents for the gang. After getting out of prison Tarzan came home, only to find out half of the gang was arrested. Tarzan was disappointed, because it meant he wasn't going to get jumped in any time soon. However it didn't hold him back from getting right back into the criminal life again, stealing cars and dealing drugs. He was going to make sure he'd have enough money for the top of the gang pyramid to welcome them home with a nice sum of cash. VIII. The demise of Tarzan Having successfully set up a car theft operation with Jesus and Alonso Ramirez, Tarzan's confidence grew. He felt he had to keep it up so that he would become official in no-time. He'd be often seen in flashy stolen sports cars. On a day he got asked by a gang member named Swifty to smuggle in a phone back into the prison. Tarzan disagreed and pleaded that he was more valuable on the street making money, and suggested they should send a different local. Swifty wasn't taking no for an answer and decided to put a gun to Tarzan's head, pursuing him aggressively to follow his orders. Tarzan was perplexed by Swifty's actions, but still disagreed, not having much respect for Swifty. He stood his ground, slapping his pistol away and leaving the area and his last respect for Swifty behind. IX. The demise of Tarzan 2.0 Looney, a high ranked EMF member took over while most of the gang was in jail. He quickly got word of what happened through Swifty. While Tarzan kept his mouth shut about the incident, Swifty had been telling Looney everything that happened. Looney quickly acted by telling Tarzan wasn't welcome in the hood anymore and was told not to come back until he showed respect. Tarzan saw Swifty's actions as betrayal and snitching, as he took their dispute higher up. Tarzan was fuming and decided to steal a car to calm himself down, something that became so usual for him now. He stole a car and found that there were several beers and vodka bottles on the backseat. Tarzan didn't think twice and decided to drink his problems away, which only made his decision making worse. He picked his friends up, ranting about how he was going to kill Swifty and skip town. His friends calmed him down and advised him to go plead his case with Looney. X. Descansa en paz Eduardo Pintos Carreto 🕯️ Eduardo's meeting with Looney didn't go as expected, not long into his explanation het got cut off by Looney. He would go back and forth with the temporary shot caller, forgetting to show respect. His friends occasionally would chime in, in attempts to solve the issue and protect Tarzan from his own deeds. It only led to them having to beat up Tarzan by order of Looney. His own friends beat him up, which made Tarzan realize this was all for nothing. In a split second he shifted his positive thoughts into negative ones, seeing how he was betrayed, mislead and abused in his eyes. As Tarzan limped back to the stolen sports car, Looney told him he would make sure that Tarzan would never become an official member of the gang. Tarzan quickly snapped back that he wouldn't want to be associated with snitches anyway. His last remark caused Looney to fire several bullets into Eduardo, who there died on the spot.
  12. welcome to the hustle zone.
  13. This thread follows the story of Ethan Fernandez a troubled Rancho Teenager. Trigger warning and all that stuff. (credits to ZaE for the menyoo picture)
  14. YOU PLAY, YOU PAY Daniel Parada Daniel Parada was born into a broken home, with his father incarcerated for 2x Second Degree murder, and his divorced mother addicted to heroin. At a young age, Daniel was forced into a parental role, taking care of his younger sister while his mother neglected them both. Daniel often looked to his father for guidance, frequenting visits at the Bolingbroke State Penitentiary. Whilst juggling between academics and family, Daniel found himself a sense of power within the controlling El Monte Flores gang, where he racked "Spider" as his placa due to his lanky legs. Over the next few years of Daniel's life, he made the set a priority over education, often bunking classes and eventually flunking out of high school in his last year. The income Daniel had received throughout his years within the set had given him enough money to move out of his mother's house and into his own, partly accompanied by his sister who had moved between homes often. On the night of 21 April 20XX, Daniel and a a homie of his had decided that the conditions were suitable for them to hit a lick on a random female, who had turned out to be an off-duty police officer. After flunking the robbery, the duo had took to running, sprinting through the alleys of Bridge Street, before turning a corner and into a cruiser. They were both shortly detained and later arrested, serving Daniel with 1x Armed Robbery, 1x Possession of an illegal firearm and 1x Resisting Arrest. During his stay at the Correctional Facility, Daniel had provided his camaradas with poorly-designed tattoos, created by a makeshift tattoo machine. Daniel was able to pursue his creative interests, while simultaneously making a profit via commissary. Not only did he focus on tattoos, he had also focused much of his attention on programming, increasing his muscle mass. Maya Parada Maya Parada, younger sister to Daniel, shared the same upbringing as her older brother. Her father being incarcerated and her mother would neglect the pair, choosing to feed her addiction rather than caring for her children. This would feed into Daniel ending up being her only parental figure, as he looked after her. Though, Maya was born and raised on Bridge Street. This would influence her drastically, despite her brother attempting to keep her away from the local gang as best as he could. She would be pushed by her older brother to focus on her academics, and stay away from the gang lifestyle, though her personal desires would be the opposite of what her brother wished. Looking up to him, she would pick up some of his creative side, though opting to display this talent through the use of a spray can rather than a tattoo needle. Taking great care in her artwork, she would practice designs at home, refining her craft.
  15. This thread follows the life of Angel Murillo and his upbringing around the El Monte Flores gang.
  16. The Varrio Harpys gang (HPS) also known as Harpys 13 or Varrio Harpys, is a predominantly Hispanic street gang that originated in the area of Grove street in the Western of South Central Los Santos by the 1960s. This group of teenagers have been known to terrorize the city throughout the years until recently back in 2017 that the group has suffered from the first ever gang injuction at South Central. History of the Harpys gang The Varrio Harpys gang (HPS) also known as Harpys 13 or Varrio Harpys, is a long-standing Hispanic street gang that originated in the area of Grove street in the Western of South Central Los Santos by the 1960s. The heart of their neighborhood stretched from Chamberlain’s gas station to the dead end of Grove Street. The roots of the Harpys can be traced back into the early 1960s when a group of teenage immigrants decided to make a name for themselves among the surrounding gangs in the area of Los Santos. The gang took their name from the Harpy Eagle, which is the largest and most powerful raptor found in America to symbolize power. They frequently were seen wearing baseball team Houston Astro's merchandise as the team's logo is a large H. The Harpys unwillingly shared their turf with two other small gangs who were believed to be nothing but two local football clubs under the names of The Dead End and the Wild Bunch at the time. As years passed by the Harpys became more centralized and the gang increased in size, gaining its reputation for violence. During this time the feuds between the two football teams and other football teams in the area were escalating, eventually ending with the rivalries leaving the field. Fights escalated between the two groups starting from low risk brawls, and quickly evolved into stabbings and eventually shootings. The public was quick to realize that the groups were no longer just football clubs and gang units marked both clubs down as their own gangs, noting their rivalries. Resulting for both of the small gangs to emerge into a single, unified Harpys gang in order to strengthen themselves and beef up their numbers. They consisted of multiple cliques such as the 25th Street Tiny Locos (TLS), 27th Street Chicos Malos (CM), 28th Street Dukes (DKS), 39th Street Tokers, and 5th Avenue Midgets (MGS) On September 6, 1980, three members of 18th Street were shot to death by members of the Harpys, giving birth to a long term war between the two sets. The constant warring consisted of a number of shootings, most of which ended in a death. The beef still stands to this day as a peace hasn't been reached between the two sets. 13 Ruben, known as “Doc”, was the leader of Harpys, a Latino street gang in South Central Los Santos. On May 16, 1988, three years after entering the state prison system he rose through the ranks of the prison system to become a dreaded member of the Mexican Mafia. Roman had been a state prisoner since 1985, when he began serving a sentence of life without the possibility of parole for first-degree murder. As a member of the syndicate, authorities said in court documents, Roman was authorized to collect narcotics and extortion proceeds from not just his own gang but a panoply of others in South Los Santos: 38th Street, 36th Street, Primera Flats, Playboys and East Side Trece, among others. By 2012 Doc still managed to maintain his grip on the gang from inside prison, Roman controlled a territory in South Los Santos bordered by Popular Street to the east, Davis Avenue to the west, Adam’s Apple Boulevard to the north and La Puerta Freeway to the south, but on 2017 the feds hit them hard as part of the two-and-a-half year “Operation Roman Empire” investigation, feds say they seized 8-and-a-half pounds of meth, a half pound of heroin, a pound of cocaine, 23 pounds of marijuana and 24 guns. Charging 18 Harpys members and associates, including Ruben’s daughter, Catalina, with racketeering, drug trafficking and various violent crimes. On June 11 2020, Ruben “Doc” Santos, a Mexican Mafia member who controlled swaths of South Los Santos from various prison cells throughout San Andreas, was stabbed to death Wednesday at a substance abuse treatment facility in TTCF, the state prison system said Thursday. History of the Grove Street Harpys Grove street has witnessed the rise of various street gangs. One of the most recent gangs to operate in the area and call Grove street their home was the Ghetto Boyz, previously known as Ghetto Boyz 13 before their feud with the Mexican Mafia. The Ghetto Boyz succeeded in keeping a tight grip on Grove neighborhood, turning into one of the most notorious gangs in the city of Los Santos. The good days were quickly cut short. There are various stories about what happened and why the beef between the Ghetto Boyz and the Mexican Mafia started but throughout all the stories only one thing is consistent, the ending. Some stories say the beef was ignited after a Camarada; An associate of the Mexican Mafia, was shot in Chamberlain during an attack which was carried on by members of the Ghetto Boyz on Tortilla Flats 13 gang. The shooting of the Camarada was said to have led into the fracture between the Ghetto Boyz and the Mexican Mafia. An Associate of the Mexican Mafia was killed under mysterious circumstances on March 6, the Camarada's body was found shot to death in a dumpster somewhere outside Los Santos' county lines and the Ghetto Boyz to blame. The Mexican Mafia was bound to retaliate with Grove Street Harpys participating. This has led to a series of attacks carried on by multiple sets in the city against the Ghetto Boyz. As the "Boyz" were getting murdered around every corner of South Central, houses were turned into ashes. Eventually bringing Ghetto Boyz out of power. On April 6 2017, Dead End Harpys XIII was dragged along with the first ever gang injunction request after the “Operation Roman Empire” succeeded with the downfall of it’s previous leader Catalina “Temper” Santos, and ended up in the arrest of most Harpys gang members. Few members left or tried to take control of the leadership after the former shotcaller Adam “Stoner” Venegas got booked for his involvement during the Arsoning and Capital murders of Ghetto Boyz 13. While in the spree of arrests, the gang now also dealt with their own members infighting for control of the set. The turnout created an unwanted presence between the younger barrio kids, who chose to avoid joining the gang. Eventually leading to their drop of recruitments and ultimately left Grove Street taken over by any current gangs in the area. Today’s Harpys Survivors or otherwise newer generation members of the Harpys 13 gang have adapted themselves into the Roy Lowenstein / Avenues district of Los Santos. A dangerous gang-area known to occupy with gangs such as; Dark Side Neighborhood Bloods, S/S Avenidas, and King Kobras 13 in the general location. For these young gangsters the gang lifestyle is their way to put food on the plate for their families and for their personal needs. This new generation of Harpys soon adopted the ways of the old generation, taking advantage of the already increasing crime rate in the city of Los Santos to bring back the gang together and make a name for themselves under the clique of Dead End Avenue currently led by Miguel “Dreamer” Gomez. The gang’s main revenue was from the street level distribution of narcotics such as Marijuana, Cocaine, Heroin and Methamphetamine. In no time, the new generation found their way back to distribute them narcotics using their felonious talents, while petty crimes like tagging walls and slanging drugs make up the majority of the gang’s criminal activity. The varrio Harpys is no stranger to much more serious crimes such as grand theft auto, burglary, armed robbery, small scale business racketeering / extortion, and even murder.
  17. SALUDOS Y RESPETO Victor Mosquera, commonly known under his placa "Pelon" was raised within the infamous neighborhood of Chamberlain Hills, partly-controlled by the violent Tortilla Flats Gang. During his early years in the gang, Victor was involved in various illicit activities, primarily armed robberies and car-jackings. He'd often steal car radios and whatever valuables he could scrummage from the vehicles within Chamberlain, which was at the time, primarily surrounded by various black gangs. At age 14, Victor was sent to a Juvenile Correctional Facility where he'd keep his head shaved clean as a method of appearing tougher, landing himself the nickname "Pelon". Over the next few years of his life, Victor was in-and-out of different government facilities, constantly returning back to his old gangbanging way of life as the cycle continued. In 2007, Victor was charged with Second Degree Murder and Armed Robbery, landing him fourteen years in the Twin Towers Correctional Facility where he had been cemented into a "Sureño" lifestyle, accompanied by a drastic sense of paranoia. During his time at Twin Towers, Victor's interest in tattoos sparked drastically, landing him multiple poorly designed tattoos that currently spread across his face and torso. After serving his fourteen-year long sentence, Victor was finally released back into the streets of Los Santos where he immediately- re-involved himself with the Tortilla Flats Gang, as shown through the character thread.
