  1. I don't expose your secrets so why would you expose mine??
  2. I wholeheartedly agree. Nobody likes speccing ERPers who've been at it so long they trigger the AFK warning.
  3. Noticeboard added and updated: 20/12/18 - The funds have been sent and construction has officially begun on the interior of the Church. Please check regularly for updates. We are also looking for an Interior Design company to assist with designing the interior - if you are interested please contact Father Ward via email at [email protected] (( forum PM me )).
  4. For RP purposes, 911 calls have now been issued a log number in the format "YY-XXXX", e.g. "18-1234". I will be looking to implement more of these further down the line.
  5. Added: Given that you're told fines need to be paid within 72 hours, I don't see the need to add a timer on there as that's your own responsibility.
  6. Done. Will commit it tomorrow morning. Due to the way RageMP handles its commands, if no arguments are provided it returns the usage syntax so this will not be possible @Franelli. That'll teach me to post before testing!
  7. Inputting an invalid input (such as 123_ or hello) will show you the hotlines. I believe it would spam too much if it displayed every time you got a number wrong considering it'd be outputting 3 lines each time.
  8. There was a thing in Discord posted earlier today by Nervous - if you're on windows 7, have you tried this? https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=26764 Reinstall rage and restart PC after installing the above.
  9. The Parish of Saint Mary What is the Parish? The Parish of Saint Mary, otherwise known as the Parish, is a community established by Father Francis Ward in the Strawberry area of Los Santos. The Parish is intended to be a place of safety and spiritual guidance for those who seek it. Whilst the Parish denomination itself is Catholic, it accepts people from all backgrounds and religions. Who is Father Francis Ward? Francis Montgomery Ward, also known as Father Ward, or Frankie to his closer associates, is a British-born Texan who has recently moved to Los Santos. Father Ward has been a preacher for the past three years in Texas and has experience with leading a church. Francis Montgomery Ward's background story: Parish Members As it stands, the Parish is single-handedly run and managed by Father Ward. This includes managing administrative tasks such as planning sermons weddings. Father Ward is actively looking for interested members of the community to help him in running the church. If you're interested, please contact Father Ward on 5661701 or pop by the church during the day and have a chat! Sermons and Parish Functions The Parish, being a Catholic group, runs prayers most days throughout the day and the standard morning Saturday / Sunday prayers at 8:30 am and 10:45 am respectively. The Parish is also available to host functions, such as baptisms, weddings or other events. If you are interested in having an event held at the Parish, please contact Father Ward as detailed above. The following document is a Mass Leaflet. This is intended to give you guidance in what to say and do in Mass. Upcoming Events There are no upcoming events. Noticeboard 20/12/18 - The funds have been sent and construction has officially begun on the interior of the Church. Please check regularly for updates. We are also looking for an Interior Design company to assist with designing the interior - if you are interested please contact Father Ward via email at [email protected] (( forum PM me )). 23/12/18 - The Church has been successfully re-built. We shall be hosting a mass on Christmas Eve for all those who wish to attend at 21:00. 26/12/18 - The church has been redesigned. It is now open to the public and you're more than welcome to stop by for a chat and a drink. 13/01/19 - Thank you to all that attended Mass this morning. A leaflet has been produced on guidance for those who are unfamiliar with the order of Mass. This leaflet can be found digitally here: https://imgur.com/a/BURyK5h Or a copy can provided to you by Father Ward in person at the Church. 15/01/19 - An evening mass will be held at the Church tomorrow Wednesday 16th Jan 2019 at 19:00hrs. All are welcome. Roleplay Introduction Father Ward is new to Los Santos and is looking to establish himself by meeting local businesses and spreading the word. After buying groceries, he drives back to the church and starts to collect his thoughts. Under the auspices of wanting to re-colour his vehicle, Father Ward takes a trip to Glass Heroes. Father Ward starts collecting items needed for his first sermon. Whilst not top of the list, he sees an advertisement for a business offering wine. It's his perfect chance to start meeting potential suppliers.
  10. I've removed 911 from off duty members who do not hold leadership privileges in that faction, however I won't be pushing this to live just yet because there are a number of other changes that need to be made to the system to make it fit for purpose. If anybody does have any suggestions please let me know and I'll reopen the thread for discussion.
  11. Ah, I was thinking /speedlimiter was cruise control but turns out I've completely missed the ball. As far as I am aware there is no cruise control feature in-game, but the /speedlimiter command could do with looking at to integrate the two systems together.
  12. There is a command called /speedlimiter (?) I believe that restricts your vehicle to a certain speed. It's a little bit jarring however in that you have to retype the command to adjust it, and you can also /speedlimiter 0.
  13. For reference, my ABAS (average time spent on duty per day) is: 0.76 Duty Hours (99% On Duty) Which means I spend approximately 0.76 hours in-game every day. Let's round that up to 1 for simplicity's sake (it fluctuates every now and again depending on my work rota). For reference, I have approximately $500,000 total wealth plus $150,000 in assets (2 properties: 1 in Rancho, 1 in Alta + a cheapish car) with a significant number of hours played (600+? I can't check right now)
  14. Personally I don't agree with this point. If I'm spending the time to be on duty as opposed to doing something else to earn money (a faction is a job after all) then I should be fairly compensated. In my opinion, you should only receive money for an on-duty paycheck as a percentage of your time on duty. So, at the end of each hour: As a P3+1 I get $2,500/hr I believe. So if I spend 30 minutes on duty that hour I would get $1,250.
  15. I completely agree. At the end of the day, we're playing to have fun - snow is fun! It's exciting and definitely gets me in the mood for Christmas.
  16. At the end of the day, we're playing a game for a bit of fun. It's a bit of snow to celebrate the fact it's Christmas - snow is fun (or it should be unless you were the unlucky sod stuck in a car with me for 3 hours last Christmas because I got the car stuck!); it's not like we're kicking down your door, forcing you to put on a party hat and sing Mariah Carey with other people. A suspension of disbelief that doesn't affect the way you play is a nice little feature in my opinion. I'm all for it.
  17. The entire 911 system as it is needs a revamp because it isn't fit for purpose anymore (except for the 911 map, that's class). Realistically, 911 calls would not be able to be picked up by anyone unless they have a direct line into the telephone network, and it would be encrypted to all hell so you wouldn't be able to pick up on calls for data protection reasons. With respect to hearing the actual transmission, that's fine as it's sanitized (and some frequencies aren't encrypted in the US, but definitely not in the UK!) but at the end of the day this is a game and some sort of arbitrary line needs to be drawn in the sand as to what we can and can't do. I think at the end of the day, 911 calls should only be received when: - You are on duty (pduty, fduty) - Your radio is on, or you're in a police vehicle. What I also did think of was a Discord bot for the appropriate servers (PD, FD) that would print the relevant 911 calls to a channel for a log of all calls. This would require a rework of the 911 script but I think that's on the books anyway. If people are worried about there not being anyone to handle calls whilst you're off duty, then perhaps don't go off duty. I understand that it is selfish but at the end of the day you joined the faction to perform that role - shifting responsibility onto other people for not being on duty to accept it isn't fair on them either.
  18. Congratulations folks! (and @SpawnMatrix!)
  19. If this were to be implemented, a mini control panel appearing at the top of your screen that shows a mockup of the blue lights response panel would be nifty.
  20. You'd have to colour in every word differently because otherwise the bot will parse the coloured words and try them one by one. Even better - have it on a CEF, not in a chat window so it can't be parsed?
  21. Short description: Remove road tax, replace it with insurance policies. Detailed description: As it stands, players need to renew their road tax every week or so as a percentage of the car's cost. Whilst I understand this is a money sink and ensures people can't drive round cars they can't afford, I think road tax is the incorrect way to go about it. People would have to pay road tax, however it would be an occasional thing (every 10-12 paychecks?) as opposed to a weekly thing. If your vehicle is destroyed game-wise, or drops below a certain health (? - the specifics would have to be worked out here due to desync) then your car would be unavailable for X time whilst the insurance company gets it repaired or whatever, and then your premium goes up. Commands to add: Unsure. Would have to be decided on. Items to add: See above. How would your suggestion improve the server? If insurance policies were to be implemented, this opens up the possibility for player-run insurance firms leading to competitive prices and more legal competition (over pricings, courtesy cars, et cetera) than just "who owns the Vanilla Unicorn". This would also open up possibilities for players to roleplay non-insured drivers; exchanging of insurance details properly at an incident, et cetera and provides more room for the police to investigate vehicle-enabled crime. 22. we have the same microphone and keyboard what stop stalking me
  23. This here is one of the biggest stigmas with mental health in my opinion. Someone I work with is suffering through this as they recently attended a cot death however they don't want to make a big deal out of it as they're only in their probation and don't want to be fired for saying they're having nightmares, etc about the incident. Having an external, anonymous directory that's subject to doctor-patient privilege is essential - and it's a shame we don't have anything like HIPAA in this server.
