It only hits 75C when RageMP is running. When the computer is idle, it's 30C or so. I've tried changing the fan curves in BIOS but that only goes up to 75C and I think it's the flickering on and off the border of 75C that's causing the speed up, but there's no apparent way to bypass this!

Speedfan shows the temperature at 75C. I bought the PC a few months ago, and this is a recent issue. I believe it is the CPU fan, yeah.

Temperature isn't the same. Playing the new Lara Croft on max doesn't have the same effects.

Hi folks. This is my build: For some reason - when, and only when playing RageMP, my fans will speed up and then slow down shortly afterwards. It sounds like a god damn airplane taking off and is generally very annoying. Speedfan does not support my motherboard and AI Suite 3 doesn't work either. Thanks.

And that's really because it can't. You see all these cool nifty features on GTA Online or even FiveM, and then when it comes to the Rage client, half of the functions aren't even implemented and the other half aren't even worth using because the sync is that bad.

I think the misconception comes from the fact most vehicles have these bundled together. For example, traffic cars will have an inbuilt ANPR/ALPR and also an in built LIDAR / radar system packaged with that. The two systems compliment each other in that it allows you to automatically run vehicles that trigger the LIDAR.

Alright, so if it was removed, how would PD commentate pursuits? I'd suggest pursuits are one of the biggest things PD do, and this would be significantly crippled or even stopped altogether by removal of voice chat.

Police pursuits are monitored by supervisors to prevent it from getting too out of hand. I wholeheartedly guarantee that the majority of criminals, should they be allowed to speak in VOIP, would have nothing valuable and it quickly turn into "WHAT THE FUCK RAM HIM RAM HIM WHERE'S THE HELICOPTER AHH WHAT THE FUCK".

I think another point people are forgetting is how volatile pursuits are. Even with 100WPM, pursuits change direction, landmarks et cetera far, far too quickly for someone to be able to type. By the type you type out /r 2-LINCOLN-1 westbound on Glory Way, they're eastbound on Bridge Street.

You say this is how everyone should be able to talk to other people while typing - not everyone is trained to give pursuit commentary at high speeds, not everyone wears a radio that they can speak into by reaching to their chest/shoulder and pressing a button, and most importantly, not everyone can be moderated to prevent metagaming.
