  1. Short description: Enable certain businesses to be a job that can be mobile. Detailed description: We have access to some really great customization that requires you going to a store and NPCing buying clothes, makeup, tattoos, hair style that rarely have people opening up to roleplay. It would be great if people could purchase a "mobile" service to do home-callouts for stuff like hairdressing and such. Say my character was a hairdresser, she doesn't need to buy a brick and mortar store to add to the cluster of hair stylist shops that are currently in-game. Instead, she can go to someone's house and offer a temporary command to the client for them to change their hairstyle (that must be RPed). The same could be done for makeup artists, tattoo artists and clothes stylists. Obviously, this should potentially be something a person must apply for to avoid /everyone/ buying it from the UCP to be able to change their stuff on the go. I think this opens up more "small business" opportunities for people that don't necessarily want to own a store and brings some roleplay to the current customization that we have. Commands to add: Possibly /haircutmenu, /tattoomenu, /clothesmenu? Items to add: None required. How would your suggestion improve the server?: I think it would help with people that do not necessarily want to purchase a store if it doesn't fit their character story to own one. Say, a small apprentice starting out or someone that only does it as a small hobby. It avoids people having to roleplay the haircut and then run to a store to change the option. Currently, I believe if you own a clothing store - you can't profit from it as you do not own the script. This could be a good way of getting paid ICly for your role-play, as the menu is free - or make it so it costs a fee to "purchase" the menu service. /haircutmenuaccept - would charge you say $300. Just an idea ?

  4. As an addition... No one knows that the business is unregistered unless they are either directly involved and knowingly doing so, or a license official does a cursory check.... Let's not pretend that if a licensing official OOCly instructed people to stop violating our business code, that official would eventually be Ajailed... Hypocrisy at best dontcha think..

  5. I'd like to say, as a some what savvy licensing official (Abby Underwood), that most of the businesses that I find in violation are investigated based on thier business ad's.... it is extremely common for a new business (and even mature businesses) to make ads and yet not have properly licensed or registered business activity.. The fact is... people like the department of finance should be handling this, icly. In addition, it is ok to run a business illegally, and we expect it to be handled ICly, yet we are then meta gaming the fuck out of /AD and sanctioning people OOCly while circumventing the JOB created to do this icly. I think taking OOC action for a company not following IC regulations is a lost definition of Metagaming... and to force them to cease thier advertisement, even though the department of finance has not, is also an issue of powergame. Thier is no legislation that encompasses FCC activity, producing understandable law, as a side note, but that's an IC issue. Ultimately... Let the Department of Finance handle it.. That's what they are supposed to do..

  6. Your right to know Written by Callie Palencia Written on the 21st of FEB, 2020. It appears that Jesus Christ himself has blessed our holy sanctuary of a city and has afforded such amazing luxuries that our EU friends have, affordable health care! I know, it really sounds like a joke or some internet meme, but it's true! Vinewood Medical Center has confirmed that it's announcing it's affordable health care in a blog post yesterday outlining the details of it's new plans. LSN has reached out to them for a brief chat and we was happy to get a statement from them. Vinewood Medical Clinic pricing In their blog they outline that the Vinewood Medical Clinic now offers the cheapest medication in the entire state, offering them at $25 per tablet/pill and that all medical sessions ranging from needle exchanges to psychiatric evalutions are now free of charge. While the Clinic doesn't officially support nor endorses illegal drugs, nor will it ever provide them to anyone without a perscription, they're doing this to curb the progression in STI affected patients. Overall we see this as a healthy change for Los Santos but we don't expect the United States to follow suit, considering the 44 million of people on Medicare and still face insane sky high medical bills, I for one am happy to support the Vinewood Medical Clinic and it has now been given the LSN Mark of Approval in terms of quality and unmatched services & offerings. Doctor Jennifer Prescott provided this statement to LSN SPONSOR SPOT

  7. Short description: Faction garages will have a unique list of vehicles at each, and the number of faction garages depends on the number of properties. Detailed description: Faction owners will be able to choose which vehicles can go to which faction garage. A limit will be enforced by property/faction management as to how many vehicles can be at each faction garage on a case by case basis. So a small garage with a parking lot for two vehicles wont be able to have six helicopters at it but could have six motorcycles. Each faction garage will have a unique ID, and each vehicle listed under that faction garage will be unique to that faction garage. This prevents non-RP use, for example spawning a vehicle that would usually live in Los Santos in Paleto Bay. There will also no longer be a limit of 3 faction garages per faction; instead there will be the option to have one faction garage per property the faction owns. Again enforced by property/faction management. How would your suggestion improve the server? Enforce realism and prevent abuse Allow factions or groups to have vehicles at each one of their properties Using the Los Santos Fire Department as an example: We have 7 Fire stations, 2 Lifeguard Stations and 0 airbases We only have 3 faction garages (El Burro, Paleto Bay and Vespucci Beach) Fire Station 7 (El Burro) has access to 47 vehicles - that includes 4 helicopters, 2 boats and 2 JetSkis when it only has a small yard and 6 vehicle bays This suggestion would allow us to have 9 faction garages for each property we currently own We'd also be able to specify which of our vehicles will be at each property; e.g. the boats at Vespucci Beach, helicopters at an airbase, a few apparatus at Paleto Bay...etc. Additional information: The command ability to spawn vehicles from our faction garages! Vehicles assigned to Fire Station 129 are limited by the physical space: six bays (3 front, 3 back) and a large yard. If they want access to another vehicle, they have to go to another fire station to get it!

  20. In South Los Santos, gangbanging isn't synonymous with the Black and Hispanic communities since the 60s. Ever since then, gang activity has evolved from simple functions to fights to murders. Most families that have been living in these communities for generations are no stranger to having a multitude of gang affiliated family members. What's tricky about the system of gangbanging is that your cousin may even be your enemy depending on where he/she is from, and this affects some relationships within a family. Nowadays, the precedent set by the gangs of the past have taken a backseat. A more lenient form of modern-day gangbanging is present in the community, and cousins/aunts/uncles/sisters/brothers have all taken advantage of it and are building on their relationships with their family like normal. The restarting cycle of a gangster lifestyle affects the youth greatly within a family. The children within a family easily take up influence after the older generation when they search for a tough, no-bullshit taking figure to look up to and imitate. And in the end of it, that child that tried to recreate what he/she saw growing up eventually becomes what he/she once dreamed of being. And they tend to make the same mistakes their idols did, and it leads to them going to jail or dying on the block they were fighting for while coming up. This happens to be the main factor in the lives for youth with blood-related ties to gang members.

  23. THE DIAMONDS CASINO & RESORT OPENING! DOORS OPEN SATURDAY THE 22nd at 10:00 PM! DON'T MISS THE REINVIGORATION OF THE VINEWOOD CULTURE! Pictured: Michael Browman, General Manager of the Diamonds Casino & Resort. The nightlife scene of Los Santos is receiving a kiss of life, provided by none other than the man spearheading the movement to bring the esteemed Diamonds Casino & Resort to Los Santos. "Where most establishments only render one service, our recently renovated facilities offer multi-use purpose; not only can you gamble, we have a shop offering a variety of luxury brands, our bar is stocked with a range of alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, and our main floors that sprawl around the venue facilitate social engagement," Michael Browman tells us. "When I was putting the wheels in motion to open a new casino, I wanted it to be different. I knew it had to be different. The points of entertainment in Los Santos have grown trite and the industry is suffering from saturation. When I first laid my eyes on this building, I knew it'd be the perfect tool to prevent the nightlife from becoming homogenized," Browman continues. Indeed, the building hosting Diamonds Casino & Resort is different from anything in the city. Its grand patterns and celebration of excess encapsulate the long-dormant Vinewood chic. Just the mere atmosphere and the opulence boasted by the casino could inspire you to chase your dreams, to attain the stardom you've yearned for. Opportunities are sure to be in abundance, whether that be winning big, or managing to network with the right people: the Diamonds Casino & Resort is the place to be. Not only does the Diamonds Casino & Resort revitalize the culture by providing an alternative to the entertainment scene inundated with an endless selection of nightclubs, Browman promises that it is good for the economy of Los Santos too. "The Diamonds Casino and Resort is a statement of Los Santos' success. It is echoed in the fact that our venue will employ upwards of twenty people a night. We offer unique and never-before-seen job opportunities, such as valeting, chauffeuring, and executive concierges." Browman concludes. The Diamonds Casino & Resort opens its doors on February 22nd at 10:00 PM. $650 entry fee. No expectation to spend money. Written by: Tabitha Grace, Department of Cultural Affairs

  25. Probably the different unique RP zones that have been created. There are so many ethnic communities that are being represented around the map. Morningwood: Armenians Davis: Blacks Rancho: Mexicans Vinewood: Russians Textile City: Russians Vespucci: White Peckerwoods Del Perro: Skinheads Little Seoul: Koreans Mirror park: Mall rats Blaine county: Rednecks Northern Vinewood: Italians No matter your character there is a different area of the map where you can find any type of ethnic or communal RP. You don't need to travel to different areas of the map if you don't want to to get RP. The server has a deep organized crime scene, Italians, Eurasians (Russians and Armenians), Asian (Koreans). We have powerful street gangs and even more powerful prison gangs, with the prison politics and street politics playing out pretty realistically across the server. It's incredibly how DEEP the illegal side of RP goes. A faction system that is about QUALITY, probably the coolest thing about GTAW in my opinion. Every single faction is held to a high standard of realism and for most part all of them are great portrayals of their real life counter parts. Go look at our faction forum and then look at any other GTA 5 community. You'll cringe. Our worst faction is better then most communities best faction.
