  1. Charging 30k for a photo of your ass just does not happen. Few years ago, people were bitching at clubs charging $200 for a drink and now we're here. Driving a 600k car working 4k an hour script jobs also should not happen. It's poor portrayal. Your character should live to their means. If you work a grocery store and are driving a Cheetah Classic, then you should be getting a one-way ticket to RPQM. It's often why I've said I'd love for there to be money taken out of the economy via bills and expenses - because people can grind money without regard for the character they are actually portraying just to have the best of everything. Economy is absolutely fucked on GTA:W and has been for a long time and there's been no effort to correct it. Admireme is just going to further push the economy into a state where you have people easily making millions by spending 10 minutes on Menyoo because people are really that tragic to buy video game porn. Whoever approved AM really got it wrong and they should swiftly look at the pricing structure and place a cap on earnings per picture. Not 30k for a heckin' photo lmao.
  2. Economy is already broken. Admireme is just going to further break it to the point you'll see people living in mansions and driving 600k cars because they're making millions a day posting lewd pictures and charging 30k for an ass shot, lol (RPQM? as that's unrealistic asf). Legitimately, how was this approved?
  3. Attempted to reach out but didn't receive much of a response. Was happy to give over everything but just some miscommunication stuff happened, so no biggie. Other owner of HS is still active, I'm just LOA for OOC reasons for a bit! (explained to PM etc. etc. etc.) Always said if our stuff is wanted, happy to provide. Just need to pop me a message. As for input towards the thread, I've always just recommended more unique events to help a more positive interaction between legals/illegals - and to have staff actively try and help out to make the process easier. You have people like Fantasia (who I think are government now) that would push all these wonderful events and they really help build that bridge that's desperately needed. Issue is, these things take a lot of time and effort just to do all the forum work (apply for permission with Gov, LSPD, LSSD, LSFD, PM for event interior) that it often times is demotivating. A player that comes up with a spur of the moment event they think would be fun.. is instantly demotivated when they see the amount of things they have to do to even get it into the IC planning stages. And then once you finally have everything done - the forum work, the IC planning, the OOC planning, the event interior, the mapping - all it takes is one person to come along and ruin it. I spent a solid month working on our mountain bike event and it was disrupted in the first 20 minutes by someone trying to drive a sports motorbike down Chiliad, then running around causing a scene with SAPR. Made a ticket, didn't receive a response despite all the OOC drama the person started in /b. It was the last time I bothered to tried to run an event so I commend those that still put on these large scale events for everyone to enjoy.. and then pity them when ONE person gets main character syndrome and wants to shit all over people's hard work. There are simply too many steps for people to let their creativity flex on GTAW. Certain things should be purely handled in-game and instead you spend most of the time applying for permission, properties or applications on the thousands of forums you have to sign up to. And even if you manage to do all that? It takes just one person to ruin it all in a matter of minutes. I'm not often one to say staff should step in and void scenes.. but when the amount of work to actually get these things going is an insane amount - that should often be the solution so everyone can keep having fun.
  4. But I don't wanna deal with it. So therefore it's bad and should be removed because it inconveniences me. I don't like the cops and robbers aspect of GTA:W, it does not interest me, so please remove them both. I don't want to have to play into some gangbanger fantasy 5 times a week, it's not liked by the majority of the legal community, and I don't believe it's existence is justified when you can just rely on starter paychecks to get your nice car! ..See? Let people RP what they wanna RP man, if people didn't enjoy SFM, it would cease to exist as no one would want to RP as a member of SFM. Some people actually do like engaging with them, me being one of them. The certifications are the smallest part of SFM and if a business owner cannot set aside 5 minutes to fill in the application and 15 minutes to actually RP with them, then I'd question the business owners priorities. The problems on this server in business RP do not lie with SFM, they lie with shitty business owners that don't care about 'business' roleplay and just feeding their bank accounts and egos. Hell, give me the IRS so I have something else I need to be concerned about and manage. That's what business RP is, managing your paperwork, products, time, resources, money and staff to provide a good experience to those that come to your business and try to get them to come again. Most large businesses IRL have their own fire officer that has to comply with auditors, we talk about realism so much but right now business RP is in the shed without having more things like SFM to need to manage. Don't take away from those that actually enjoy the full scale management of a business that includes the 'boring' side of things. How many people RP a business person going into debt? Don't think I've ever come across it. SFM are one of the only factions that exist right now that can effectively shut your business down because an owner is inept. That's what we need. Good owners that are on top of shit and not just looking to open a bar to generate an easy income to flex. For me, SFM is a cornerstone of my roleplay as a business owner. I get to engage in fire safety and it gives me something else to consider and remember as I am roleplaying a business owner - not a money generator. Another reminder? Criminals exist. Arsons exist. People are happy to complain about SFM but when push comes to shove, they're the ones that can actually get you results if your business is hit by some shitty extortion attempt.
  5. I'm not interested in gangbanger RP, or getting robbed, or getting pulled over by cops. See why that's not a good argument? I'm a business owner, don't mind me some SFM coming by. I'd rather fill out a small form and deal with SFM than having to give over my cellphone for the 80th time in 2022. I own some mega-sized business properties, my inspections aren't quick in and out things. If you engage with them and actually try to have some fun, they'll give you plenty of opportunities to enjoy the RP.
  6. Was Dep Chief of SFM. On the LEO stuff? You're simply not allowed as LFM did not want you interrupting PD roleplay. Even basic 'patrol' was frowned up. There's a reason SFM used to be primarily alt characters because the leash was pulled tightly. I was the one that requested the watch-towers for SFM to have firewatch as a thing so they could actually do some patrolling and not just respond to arsons / paperwork generators for businesses. I definitely agree there was a huge missed opportunity to not make the scope larger for SFM, but again, that's not the Chief - that was LFM pulling the reigns. Here's the issue - if you approach SFM instantly off the bat as aggressive like 90% of players do? They're not going to treat you kindly in return because you've essentially ruined their RP for the sake of your character being pissed off at people simply doing their job. Can't tell you how many businesses I went to where we were just insulted instantly when trying to engage in pretty chill and friendly RP. Nearly every single inspection we were met with hostility for simply doing a job. Try show a little courtesy to the people who really enjoy SFM roleplay and maybe don't shit on them for just merely existing. They want to have fun, just as much as you and can actually provide you with a cool little experience if you play along with them. Most people you find in SFM and LSFD are incredibly knowledgeable about their roleplay. The same can be said with LSFD medical scenes, if you take the time to actually engage with these roleplayers and not just see them as something in the way of your roleplay, you'll have a lot better time and maybe learn a little thing or two along the way. Arsons are primarily the SFM's focus and trust me, there's a lot of them that most people don't know happens. Often SFM are left with very little to work with off with arson scenes and whilst I'm not with them anymore, the people involved actually really care about providing a really authentic experience - it's just people don't give them the time of day to actually -want- to RP with them, so they get forced into their little self-contained bubble. SFM and LSFD have been a huge missed opportunity, in my opinion, and not through fault of their own. The scope was narrowed too much and the freedom to let these departments actually create something really great to engage with hasn't been awarded to them and they deserve it. SFM and SAPR even briefly discussed a merge of some sorts until that was shut down, to. Jordan Wright is a hell of a guy, bringing up his age or whatever is the dumbest shit I've seen because I've seen the difference in where SFM was to where it currently is - just because you don't want to engage with them doesn't mean they don't provide good shit. From where the department was when I was in it to where he's brought it today should be heavily commended. But again, if your concern lies more around his age rather than maybe taking a look at the work he's done and does behind the scenes - that's on you.
  7. Legal: Everything should start being taxed more. The more money you have, the more tax you pay. The more assets you have, the more you pay. If you own a house? You pay utility bills. Right now people can buy whatever they want with their money and have barely anything to pay for or worry about once they've acquired them. It's why X has ten cars, two houses and a boat despite their character not having a career because they grinded script jobs for 100 hours. If people had to actually start thinking about their spending and ensuring they can continue to afford things once initially purchased, you'd see a lot less of the characters that exist purely to asset chase. If a house in Mirror Park costs $1 mil? Make the utility bills fit the economy (depending on the area of the house) that comes out of your pay check each hour/week/month. Own an apartment in Davis? It's not going to cost you much to maintain or upkeep. Own a mansion in the hills? It's going to cost you. Rarely do we see people who RP from the higher end of life RPing that fall into debt and money struggles. A huge business going under because the owner cannot control their spending should be the punishment - not necessarily a RPQM report. Legal RPers need to understand that they are actually vital to the illegal RP experience and shouldn't always look to play the OOC victim card if things do not go their way or they made an error of judgement that got them killed/hurt. You are going to get robbed. You are going to get targeted. And if you start breaking out your CCW trying to become the vigilante - you are going to get shit on for it. There are so many rules in place now to protect legal RPers that you really can't hide behind the mantra of bad RP accusations anymore. There's so many safe-zones and rules put in place (like robbing on motorcycles not being a thing, like whaaaat.) that actually make zero sense realistically but are there to help you go about your day. I have been robbed on my CCW carrying character more times than I can count and I have lost more legal pistols to illegal characters than I'm proud to admit (I must have singlehandedly contributed a good amount of guns to the damn illegal scene because I got caught lacking) - and as long as the robbery is RPed well? I'm not going to kick a fuss up over it because I've learned to understand that I am also there to provide growth and development for the illegal community. It's not a big deal, don't let it ruin your day or build up an OOC vendetta against illegal RPers because you had a bad experience with a minor from Davis once or twice. Take the L and learn some street smarts - it's actually a lot of fun to RP the experience if you let it be. Extortion Part 1: Not every attempt at extortion is bad roleplay. You have a part to play in the roleplay yourselves - ask your attempted extorter what do you get out of it in return? The simple answer will always be 'protection' but you can lay the game yourself. So you don't want protection? What do you want to gain from it? You're not simply a victim, you can try and negotiate a better outcome for yourself. "Can you provide me two of your friends for security during my openings?" "Can I get your telephone number and request your help on issues that may come up in other aspects of my business?" - Often times, people think extortion just means they're going to take your money. Get out of this mindset and actually start looking at the benefits an extortion attempt can provide you and your business. You're a business owner so treat it as a business. Turn the RP into a business proposal and try and see what you can also get out of it in return because from experience - I've gained a lot more connections, friends and roleplay from the illegal characters than I would have if I had just started crying about it. You're a business owner, think like a business-person. Illegal: It's been said in the thread already, I think. Internally CKed characters should not be able to return to a faction on a new character for X amount of time (months preferably). This just gives that person the chance to 'start again' and get right back into what they were doing but this time knowing the limits of what they're trying to portray - skipping potential growth and development for the original character. Often times the character is a carbon copy of what they were previously RPing - minus the mistakes that they've learned. Factions often have a very set, "This is what we're trying to be" and if your character waivers slightly, they'll use those CK perms to give you another chance. It would make internal CK's much more thought out and give people a chance to naturally adapt and learn IC rather than just throwing a CK for little reasoning and saying 'come on back but don't do that again!' It's how you get the stereotypical characters portraying robots with no human emotions. Time would actually be spent focusing on the growth, development and story of a character - rather than an OOC reset. You only have to look at some threads to see that most of their conflict RP is all inner-faction and that person is back the next day on a new character. Screenshots in faction threads should honestly be done away with. Character story threads should be the bigger focus as they also include the L's, not just what makes the faction look good. Faction threads are edited and shown in a very specific way to fit the narrative that the faction wants to tell and not tell the actual true events that took place. It's all about making the faction look 'good' in the eyes of the public to generate a positive hype and draw in new members - but most of the time it's artificial because storylines and events did not play out that way and miss key information. How many Discords have a "pre-approved" screenshots section before someone is allowed to post in the thread? This also counts for legal faction threads but things like LEO factions don't need to mask the truth of a situation to make their faction look good. There's no risk of those factions being closed because they're a requirement. I'd rather see the actual story/events, including the major L's taken rather than a chopped and edited version trying to make the faction look like it's perfect - because they know they'll be heavily scrutinized by the illegal community if they show their faults and mistakes. And whether it's accepted or not - people self-consciously metagame information they have learned from other faction threads. CK appeals should be private. Why does the community need to see a CK appeal rather than just the people directly involved? It just grows OOC tension and frustration and shit-talking on Discord. Extortion Part 2: For the love of God. Please start looking at new and unique ways to do it. The world is your creative oyster and extortion can be done in so many clever, fun and unique ways that it pains me to see Johnny Gambino walking into a business on his turf demanding a weekly fee without offering a service in return outside of 'protection'. The protection needed is from people like you, Johnny Gambino. Offer the business owner something substantial. What you don't realize is you actually harm the RP in that area because legal characters WILL avoid setting up business there and WILL avoid opening their store for roleplay. If someone came to me with an interesting proposition that I saw as mutually beneficial, I'd be all on board. If someone comes to me threatening to burn down my store? I'm just going to think you're an idiot that the police should deal with instead. Find a mutual common ground outside of 'protection' only. General: Community is way too harsh on one another. It's hard to really call it a community because everyone gets wrapped into their little social bubbles and would rather spew hatred towards people on Discord that don't like the same thing they do. Members can honestly be vile to each other here and don't realize how similar we all are in wanting to just have some fun with a hobby we all share together. There's such a mindset of 'I am right, you are wrong' that it often feels like everyone is out there seeking approval and reputation rather than coming together to actually make this a place a positive experience. People will shit on anyone if they can't have everything go their way. It happens every update - there really is no pleasing everyone and the sooner people learn to accept that things won't always cater to you then it would be a much happier community. Next clothing patch? There'll still be uproar from people who will shit all over the hard-work Oggy and Honey have put in because their RP wasn't catered for - despite there being a thread asking for help. Next PD patch? It'll be the same uproar of 'oh another PD update'. Next drug update? 'Oh they fucked it all up again!' - just take the time to offer positive, constructive feedback with a little appreciation on the side for the people who actually try to push content on the server.
  8. People have memories of goldfishes IC, so no protest will ever really be meaningful until people start remembering why they're protesting. Looking back at the G6 incident, as a company there would be zero recovery after what happened. They lost major contracts, had a shitty stint of PR and generally made mistake after mistake, losing in court multiple times etc. - but people were still happy to hire them a week later. (Which, in terms of people's fun within the faction isn't a bad thing). People just use the excuse of protest to turn it into a riot to have a night of chaos. The recent one turned into a riot 10-15 minutes before the actual start-time. The way SD handle riots now is the way it has to be, they don't mess around and they'll shut it down instantly. During the recent protest, the Chinatown folk all banded together to protect their home around MRS. Fortunately, the riot didn't make it that far but it was still some fun RP. But when you have white people showing up to MRS for a black protest asking, "Where's the riot at!?" and trying to antagonize the cops stood outside the station, you realize that these things will never really work. I'm sure some good RP does generate from these protests but the majority of it is just an excuse to have a night off and go a little wild. How many times has the Fire Station been raided by protestors at this point? Generally, you can make a good guess at how an organized protest will start. Meeting ground > Davis (where it gets shut down by SD) > MRS/Legion (where it gets shut down by PD) > City Hall. If people actually wanted to protest genuine issues, I believe it would be entirely possible IF it was in collaboration with PD/SD - as in, pre-arranging a place/time and setting up a blockade to place the protestors within. Also, choosing anywhere other than Davis would be a good start.

  10. love the editing you put into this stuff!
  11. Lil shade, but sure. I've given over custom hairs (that are currently on the server) and offered to provide mods to cater to different character demographics but it's not as simple as "oh add this mod." A lot of stuff suggested is simply too big or too unoptimized to add - whether it be the file size itself or LODs missing. The texture loss that happens is largely influenced by the mods currently on the server - if Oggy went and added all the suggestions, we'd have texture issues galore. Other issues are most of the gang orientated mods are paid content like Patreon or whatever. Another key issue? People keep posting Franklin mods. Unless you can find someone to convert them for the MP model, they're not going to work. Tattoos/Shoes are still bugged on Rage the last I heard - so that's something out of the modders control. No one will ever be 100% pleased. While there is a new clothing patch coming, you'll always find someone upset that something isn't added. I'd love to see a whole bunch of content added that'll please everyone and cater for every walk of life in-game, it's just never going to be possible because people are damn hard to please. @Oggy busts his ass off with these clothing patches and people constantly shit on him. Don't think the guy slept properly the last time with the amount he had to do. If you know how time-consuming it is to get these things stable and ready for a server with this many players, you'll come to appreciate the efforts that are being put in by people - for free. @BINGBONGGHOST puts in the work finding good stuff and understands different demographics. He should 100% be involved IMO. Current state of the server? People need to realize that there are human beings putting in the work here and to be a little more appreciative and less critical all the time.
  12. GTAW has the advantage of being years ahead development wise, so I don't think we'll see a massive decline in players as Nervous does hold a pretty good monopoly over text based RP on Rage right now. The important thing to remember is a large part of these communities are made up of GTAW players that were outcast or banned - you only have to look at their Discords to see that the thought is more centered around, "Fuck GTAW" and not actually caring about building up their new community. Does GTAW have glaring issues? Yes. A gaming community is never going to be perfect when you have so many different people from different walks of life, religion, race, culture, sexuality, gender - but GTAW wasn't founded on a structure of "Fuck GTAW" that a lot of these communities are. One of these communities is a ticking time-bomb for a DMCA and I feel sorry for the people putting time and effort in there if they can't see the inevitable. Competition is good and healthy. GTAW has the advantage and playerbase to continue on without much of a worry. It's like World of Warcraft - people spend years with their characters, making friends and connections, and leaving it behind isn't easy. The grass isn't always greener on the other side.
  13. Largely why I left PD. Was sick of standing around for 30 minutes just to get a "scene voided".
  14. My vision would be more centered around the larger businesses. I totally get your points and agree largely with it. As a business owner that's earned millions legitimately, it's just something I'd love to see happen personally to give me more concern around my finances (and giving my lazy finance officer more work to do :P)
  15. IRS faction ran by competent people to start looking into assets/finances. Give businesses more to work with and think about in terms of managing and monitoring their money/assets or risk a visit from the authorities. More clothes, hair, furniture, animations and just general customisation! A revision of the current crime-rates and seeing how that can be controlled a little better. I'm getting bored of constant robberies on my rooftop. Hopefully some more unique things pop-up like Pilbox hospital, ULSA, Aurum - things that can hopefully be expanded upon, like Aurum having more control over electricity bills etc. for us to actually spend money on bills. Give people things they need to pay for and be concerned about rather than buying that new sports car. Less drama between Security Companies and Sea-boat Captains in the news section.
  16. Giving players monopolies on alarm systems is not the way forward especially with the current security firms we actually have on the server not exactly providing consistent quality. This alone would be a major turn-off for people if they're forced to deal with these companies that quite frankly seem to get away with murder (literally) because of some LFM protection agreement or something. My character would rather have an alarm-less property than deal with the current batch of security firms and I'm sure others out there feel the same way. RP opportunity already exists for those that want to incorporate actual alarm installation, same things goes for things like CCTV - they exist in the world if people want to use them. (And a lot don't because of reasons mentioned above). Perhaps if they stopped doing stupid shit they'd get more people interested in their services. (My character installs CCTV systems and does computer repair, trust me - there's a lot of people out there that happily accommodate that RP - I don't need to be spoon-fed by the script). Giving players pure control over these alarm systems is just going to lead to more civilian's carrying CCW's to protect their businesses which already is a massive issue. Hell, I'm sure players would be happier paying off Illegal Factions to do their protection for them - it would be a heck of a lot cheaper than what's suggested here. Pricing alarms at 100k to 2 million just seems ridiculous to me when you can buy an alarm that'll do the job for a few hundred bucks. Even with our inflated economy, anything North of $20,000 is going too far for an alarm that may never be triggered. I've played here for nearly 4 years and never once had an alarm go off in my properties, now I have to decide whether a little peace of mind protecting a few assets is worth upwards of 2 million dollars? Just slow down the time it takes to notify the police, it seems pretty simple. You can have the alarm trigger, flash, sound off and anyone in the area will be able to see it and call 911. Give it a 1-2 minute delay to actually trigger a police response, which due to the size of the map, is probably fair to accurately represent a realistic police response to an alarm. Hell, you could even up that to 5-10 minutes before police are notified. This is just over-complicating things for the sake of over-complicating things.
