    John Santapaola

Inspired by @HaveADream * A poem found in a leather covered notebook, placed in a drawer by John Santapaola's bedside. And there we stood, maybe in solitude, definitely absolute, Fixing yet another problem bestowed upon me by the life I lead, And I stand proud to call those by me my brothers, until the day that I fall, And I stand proud to claim whats ours, to conquer the course with no remorse for those who fall, And those who fall deserve no contrition or vacillation, no recollection or reaction, For it won't be long until the standing man finds the world planted in their hands.

  6. True, however when we're dealing with a server of 700 people there needs to be an infrastructure of rules to ensure it stays a realistic RP server, replicating real life things which a lot of the time are not good things. I'm litteraly saying, if you kill someone because they fucked you about, like refusing you pay you completely, you should be able to CK them.
  7. I'm confused what you mean here, no one is saying crime should be equal opportunity, I'm saying crime should be realistic. We're not talking about crime as an umbrella term here, we're talking about exploiting small businesses. There are numerous IC avenues to attack and counter in that situation. Maybe I just don't understand you and that's not what you meant idk.
  8. okay fair enough, if this is doable then discussion over like. It's not directly obvious that that is the case, so I'm confused as to how you expect me to know? Thanks for letting me know that you can do that.
  9. Yeah so the thing is, the focal point of extortion is the possibility that the aggressor will literally kill you if you don't meet their demands. It's hard to find a value greater then money, one of the only things being a life. The thing is, it's not hard to get caught extorting a business, so let's say someone doesn't decide to play it out well and role plays the extortion like an idiot? They could either find themselves CKed, or arrested. Regardless extortion is a real thing that requires a real death and real consequence to work. Yes?
  10. Short description: An avenue for extortion supported by the server rules. Detailed description: Extortion is something that has grown quiet hard to do due to the limited threat an individual may cause the victim. To counter that I have something that I think would work. - An application that any criminal with the sufficient means to extort a business can take, applying for the ability to extort a specific business. This application grants the person the ability to CK their victim if every other route fails. - If you are a part of a faction you do not need to make this application however must fully RP the entire process. Commands to add: Maybe /extort that would be similar to /breakin Items to add: How would your suggestion improve the server? Creates a larger avenue for criminal RP. Additional information:
  11. Good Looks. I also think that individual damage factors should attribute a huge amount to the severity of your state after a situation like this happens. For example, blunt force will lead to an initial loss of consciousness, sharp objects and bullets will cause unconsciousness and bleeding. (If you get show in the head 2 times, where your health might justify you being unconscious, you will actually find you have died.) After failing unconscious your health bar is reset and will reduce from 100 - 0 over the span of 4 minutes to replicate blood loss.
  12. Addiction should probably go down differently, withdrawal from drugs is a serious fucking thing that is worse then just a slight burden on your day to day. It should start with a screen effect, making things slightly darker or harder to see, and maybe reduced health. Then after a few days of neglect you will start to have this effect consistently, sometimes blacking out and sometimes getting other visual effects briefly. Things that can heavily burden the way that you are playing in that moment. Throughout this entire time your health is decreasing heavily. Using the drug once resets the entire withdrawal process and you are now fine for another few days. Small things that change a lot I think.

    Tenancies.

[ADDITIONAL POINT] I think that if the goal is to replicate a working and realistic economy based on modern, 2020 standards, things like Market Prices have to go. They're essentially OOC guides on how you should sell and pay for things. If you're stupid enough to walk into a strangers house, who just posted a telephone ad saying that they have a house for sale, and over-pay them for a property, that's your fault. I equally think that there should be an emphasis from Property Management, towards the evolution of real estate companies in that respect. Maybe even disallowing a property to be sold without authentication from a regulatory body, most easily role played through a real estate agency. Whether they require you to use their full service as realtors, or they authenticate property transactions for a service fee is up to that company. Capitalism

    Tenancies.

Short description: Revamped renting system. Detailed description: [Payment] Having a system very similar to the insurance system, where each week the cost of the rent, for example; $15,000/week has to be paid at a bank. "/rent" would show a list of due payments to be made on your rent. "/rentpay [index]" would pay the selected rent. [Individual tenancies] Each tenant is an individual tenant. This means that different permissions and costs can be attributed to that individual tenant, for example; Tenant A might be a manager of your real estate company, giving him permissions to give keys to more tenants. [Property Manager] Essentially /bmanager but for the property. In here you can evict and rent to tenants, and set individual permissions to them. Rent money is automatically transferred to the property where anyone with the permissions can withdraw/deposit that money. [ICly] If somebody decides to breach contract with a significant amount of roleplay, to realistically replicate the process in which someone would disregard a contract, then they will face the IC consequences. Urging a realism into the efforts of Real Estate companies and Landlords alike. [OOC] If somebody decides to breach a tenancy contract with no RP then the landlord in question should be compensated a relevant amount to which the property was in-use. For example if a contract for a tenancy at the cost of $10,000/week was made on Monday and the following Wednesday said contract was breached, the landlord should be compensated aprox. $12,857 for the 9 days in which the property was in-use by the tenant. Commands to add: "/rent" would show a list of due payments to be made on your rent. "/rentpay [index]" would pay the selected rent. "/pmanager" opens property manager menu. Items to add: How would your suggestion improve the server? It would allow for a much more realistic rent economy, whereby rent becomes less of a free-be due to the free paycheck system. In place it creates a system that allows for a dynamic change in the cost of living for the average Los Santos civilian. Rent prices also have a huge part to play in property prices. I think removing market prices as a thing is something that should happen by now but that's something seperate. Additional information:

    Event businesses.

Da bombaclart ting not even work mon. Me tried it wid' Vespucci Sports anme' nya' make any money, 'tis chambolic mon. People nah want fi' wait pun' queue on gyame mun. - Dearest sir, it would seem the current system is in-efficacious due to the socio-economic reality of GTA:W. Not to say it is not possible to create such system where-by an entrance fee can be automatically deducted from a person, if the person so chooses to pay it. Possibly done in a CEF menu.
  17. Short description: Allowing event based companies to have an entrance fee. Detailed description: It's extremely hard to maintain an event based company that has a lot of outgoings when we can't sell tickets fast enough to really make money. At Vespucci Sports, prior to the entrance fee's being taking off we where pulling in around 80-90 people over three different events. When the entrance fee was removed we had to start selling tickets seperatly which sounds like a perfect thing, however it doesn't work. People are naturally playing a game here, and they won't wait in queues to purchase tickets. This isn't me talking out of my ass, this is a genuine fact - our last event sold 20 tickets, that's not an accurate reflection of the amount of people who stepped into the building to purchase a ticket. If we're talking about a bar, or a club, or a general store - then there definently shouldn't be an enterance fee, it doesn't make sense. But if we're talking about something like an arena? Whether that's theatrical, musical, or sporting events, tickets are the entire back bone of the companies driving force. For example, at Vespucci Sports, we pay the fighters and staff a percentage of the intake, we can't do that if we're not making enough money to feed two people, let alone 8 or 9. Essentially I'm asking for a revised ticketing or enterance fee system that would work for certain businesses. Commands to add: Items to add: How would your suggestion improve the server? 19. Why are the three most lucrative criminal activities on this list, and three most commonly occurring criminal activities labelled as last resort? Drug and Weapon trafficking is not by any means last resort, whether large or small scale. Boosting cars, also not a last resort activity, extremely lucrative if you build your connections. Residential Burglaries, ALSO not last resort.
