  1. This is sadly a daily occurance these days and nothing is being done about it OOCly. This isn't something which we should be taking ICly either as it's well beyond that point. I'm really hoping faction management starts doing something regarding this so people stop carrying guns just because they can and utilizing them in every situation which doesn't go in their favor. At this rate a martial law should be imposed and national guard brought in, but here we are. Please do something and make the server enjoyable again, Vespucci is worse than South Central at this rate.

  2. https://streamable.com/v4fjj3 This is crazy bobs level of roleplay here. A prisoner transport to the towers being ambushed not once, not twice, but three times? Open warfare against City Police & County sheriffs deputies? The amount of guns owned per person is astronomical, everyone has acces to Carbine Mk2's. .50 cal deagles, draco's, uzi's, you name it. Everyone has atleast a crate under their beds. People roleplay with 0 regard of their own safety or more importantly, with 0 regard of consequences. People shoot at cops, get caught. Go to prison, spend about a minute in jail, CK and back to killin'. That's a mentality issue. There's people I know who value their character and haven't namechanged in years. And then there's people who CK every few weeks. The admin team, with respect, have zero teeth and the perm-ban for being an absolute shitlord is the exception rather than the rule. We've been in a downward spiral ever since. And from my humble point of view, neither LFM or IFM is doing anything about it. A year or so ago we joked about in PD how the violence and sheer fucking viciousness of stuff encountered was gonna be cyberpunk levels or Judge Dredd in a few years time. And here we are, not even a year later and we've litterally reached insurgency levels of violence & mayhem. Whilst at the same time being told "Don't you dare take all of this IC and ruin all of these model roleplayers their fun. You just sit there, be good paper targets and be quiet." No more. Something HAS to change.

  3. NEW LIFEGUARD AND TEMS AMBULANCES 18th of April, 2022 LSFD Public Relations Supervisor Jennifer Schneider The Los Santos Fire Department welcomed new vehicles to the fleet on Monday, 4th of April, 2022. Lifeguard ambulance LR-10 and Tactical EMS ambulance TEMS-2 were delivered in the afternoon hours to the city port. With the help of the Port Authority, the Support Services division from the LSFD safely transported the vehicles to the maintenance garage near station 7 in El Burro. The new vehicles were a scheduled purchase and both ambulances were put into full service. (LSFD accepting both vehicles in the port along with the Port Authority, credits: Lyla Avery) The new ambulances are the same model as the rest of our ambulance fleet (2020 Vapid Sandking 450) but they both come with the addition of new features unique to our community. For example, the Lifeguard ambulance (LR-10) has special tires that allow the vehicle to be deployed in the sand, combined with a 4x4 drive. The Tactical EMS ambulance (TEMS-2) has a special black livery as can be seen in the pictures down below and also special tactical equipment. Both ambulances were manufactured in New Orleans, Louisiana. The Tactical EMS ambulance (TEMS-2) will be stationed at station 7 in El Burro. Tactical EMS is a unit of specially trained and experienced paramedics ("tactical medics") within the Los Santos Fire Department whose purpose is to provide care in places where an active threat is present. Tactical medics work closely with the Police Department's SWAT team, and Sheriff's Department Special Enforcement Bureau. The vehicle will be used in situations like active shooters, hostage situations, barricaded suspects, riot situations, bomb threats, and other situations requiring the deployment of TEMS. The vehicle is equipped with additional tactical equipment for TEMS so it's a bit heavier than a regular ambulance. The Lifeguard ambulance (LR-10) will be stationed at Lifeguard Tower One in Vespucci. All lifeguards are trained in basic life support (EMT) like the rest of the department, some also have an advanced life support license (paramedics). The ambulance is going to be used for transport and 911 calls in the area of Vespucci and Del Perro. The Lifeguard Rescue has been reworked from the ground up to be a bit lighter than typical Rescues and it has better off-road capabilities. It is carrying the same equipment as other regular rescues. Employees and members of the units will go through appropriate training before both vehicles are going to be released into service. Citizens of Los Santos can already meet with our new lifeguard ambulance in the area of Vespucci and Del Perro, the vehicle was released to full service on Saturday 9th, April 2022. The TEMS ambulance was released into full service one week later and was already used in several deployments. We'd like to thank Vapid Motor Company for the delivery and services the company provided. Interested in our work? Follow LSFD Scene Reports! 4. The Background of Van Ness. The Van Ness Gangsters, more commonly known through media as the Van Ness Gangster Brims and Rollin 50 Brims, are a South Central, Los Santos street gang that prioritize their activity through out Chamberlain Hills. The gang neighbors almost four other blood sets that have been heavily established through out Davis, and the gang falls under the blood alliance formed by Rollin' 20s that consists of Harvard Park Brims, Murder Park Families, Black P Stones Jungles and 20s themselves. They fall under the extremely established "Brim" umbrella alongside their other neighboring blood sets, such as the Fruit Town Brims and the Harvard Park Brims which together have their own alliance formed known as FHN. Coming up into more recent years, the Van Ness Gangster Brims have struggled to keep up with the previously neighboring and extremely dangerous sureno set, Tortilla Flats 13. The sureno set had an extremely hard stranglehold on not only the local complexes and lucrative drug markets, but Chamberlain Hills in total. This was however, until the street-level operation preformed by the Los Santos Sheriff's Department, code-named "Zookeeper" was preformed in late 2021 in retaliation to the growing war between Tortilla Flats 13, Rollin' 20s and Black P Stones that indirectly caused the death of almost four officers. Following the operation, many of the figure heads and big homies of this deadly sureno set we're caught up in a multitude of drug and gun charges, some going as far as murder. The operation also led to the incarceration of various Black P Stones, Rollin' 20s and Van Ness Gangsters affiliates. This operation, which was mainly targeted towards the sureno gang, in turn led to the spiral of the Tortilla Flats 13 gang and their grasp on the local area of Chamberlain Hills. This gave plenty of breathing room for the Van Ness Gangsters to grow in numbers and eventually start hanging out at their turf more freely without getting caught up in the war, which has sense ended. Territory & Turf. The Bity is the commonly referred to area, legally known as Chamberlain Hills. Van Ness Gangster's prioritize the complex directly across from Rollin' Twenties' infamous turf. The Van Ness Gangster's, like many other sets around Chamberlain can also be seen around the B.J. Smith Recreational Center & Park, which was once a joyful area for young residents in the area, known for it's famous skatepark that plenty of viral Los Santos skaters shredded in the early 2000's, and for it's school-level league baseball games that would be held at the baseball fields. The area of Chamberlain Hills is known for it's plethora of Blood related gangs which fall under the "B-Team" alliance. The B.J. Smith Center alone has been the area for murders, robberies and fights. Nowadays, new faces and locals who visit the park are pressed by the various gangs, and Chamberlain it's self is kept on a leash, any new-resident is going to have to go through a lot of boundaries to be trusted. Van Ness residents and affiliates have been known to hang around other neighboring sets turf more then their own sometimes, having extremely close affiliation with the Harvard Park Brims. Allies & Rivalries. The Van Ness Gangster's primary allies are most of the blood sets located through-out Chamberlain Hills, more importantly the Harvard Park Brims, Fruit Town Brims, Rollin' 20s and Murder Park Families. Their rivals however consist of the Rollin' 60s Neighborhood Crips, Rollin' 40 Crips, Rollin' 30 Harlem Crips, and all sets under the Neighborhood Crip card (primarily the 55 Neighborhood Crips). They have various feuds with some of the Mexican/Sureno gangs located around South Central, such as the 18 Street Gang, the White Fence Gang, Tortilla Flats 13, Harpys 13 & MS-13. The Van Ness Gangster's will usually be seen beefing any Hispanic set that provokes them, due to the racial tensions between Hispanic and African American gangs, however there are a few exceptions. OOC INFORMATION Our top priority while roleplaying as this group (Van Ness Gangters/50 Brims) is to portray a realistic Brims gang which consists of members operating around Chamberlain Hills. Upon joining this group, you must take into consideration and fully understand that your character and their concept, no matter the age or sex is growing up in some of the most dangerous parts of Los Santos in the midst of a gang violence crisis, and this is too be roleplayed to its fullest extent. We take character realism and development extremely serious and will not hold back from removing you from the group if you don't understand this. If you do not hold the same priorities as we do, you can and will be removed at any time if you are deemed un-fit. All members must abide by the rules the server has set for us as players and gang roleplayers and if broken, punishment will be handed out by leadership. This faction is not fully open to the public however, you can contact one of the two leaders to get in. If you have any questions, comments or concerns, or are seeking on joining the faction, feel free to private-message @PRESCRIPTION. 6. Sandy Shores is a small town in Los Santos county, out in the Grand Senora Desert. Just south of Grapeseed, and on the coastline of the Alamo Sea it boasts incredible views of Mount Chilliad. Formerly populated by over 3000 people, the expansion of Los Santos over the years has caused this population to be decimated. While some may look at Sandy Shores as a meth heads wet dream, with the run down trailers, absolutely decimated motel and the obvious lack of any real form of trash collection, this town is still the home to some of the most unique people in the entire county. Some may see the gathering of outlaw bikers in Mongols patches, or the odd redneck who thinks he's still on his way to Woodstock as a problem, but the permanent residents of the town see past this and see their home, or in most cases their trailer. The unique landscape of the town allows those who decide to make their beds in between the disgusting blackened water and the unforgiving sand storms the opportunity to keep themselves enclosed - to allow themselves to be more comfortable with their neighbours and to regain the old community feel that technology has taken away from the younger generations. This is the kind of freedom that people out there still want, being able to ask your neighbour for a cup of sugar or an almost clean spoon without the fear of a KG-9 in their face before they have to hand over their phone and all their belongings. It's true that not everyone in Sandy is perfect, and there's some people who are downright criminals, but through years of going through the same hardships a bond has been created which allows the average resident to overlook the stolen motorcycle in someone's garage, or the occasional drug deal outside the barber shop. They prefer to see the best side of their neighbours and understand that sometimes people have to do things they never would to keep a roof over their head, or to make sure their kids aren't missing out on a meal. While the community is not what many would call criminal, they are nothing but understanding and when possible, would rather keep the Sheriff's out of their business and go back to maintaining the status quo of living together in harmony.

  7. Undzer ShtikThe Jewish Mob originated in the United States during the 19th century, from within urban Jewish neighborhoods of the Northeast. Otherwise known as the Kosher Nostra or Undzer Shtik, the Jewish Mob is among the country's oldest criminal groups. Similar to the Italian and Irish gangs, the Jewish gangsters had a violent start in late 19th century New York City. Barbarism in the street was the modus operandi of numerous Jewish gangs, notably the Eastman Crew and Lenox Avenue Gang. Vicious fighting with Italian and Irish gangs for dominance was common at the time. Jewish Mobs experienced a Golden Age from the 1920s to the 50s, during Prohibition and after. Relations with Italian and Irish gangs were normalized and co-operative, with bloodshed finally subsiding. Alcohol smuggling, gambling and other rackets were facilitated with the Irish and Italians across the United States. Legendary leaders like Arnold Rothstein, Bugsy Siegel, Mickey Cohen and Meyer Lansky emerged during this period. Some of these gangsters directed international mob activity in the Caribbean and Canada. The Jewish Mob has been given credit for the foundation of Las Vegas in the 1940s and 50s. Partnerships with La Cosa Nostra included Murder Inc and the National Crime Syndicate, lasting from the 1920s to the 60s.Following World War 2, American Jewish mafia families declined around the country. The old Jewish gangs of the Northeast, Midwest and Pacific's major cities faded away. Economic conditions for American Jews improved post-war, with many achieving success in mainstream society. Urban enclaves were also gentrified while the Jewish population shifted away. Therefore, justifications for distinct organizations were erased. Many veteran gangsters and bosses were murdered, imprisoned or retired to Israel over several decades. Without centralized leadership similar to the Commission, Jewish crime had almost collapsed by the 1990s. Other emergent groups, such as Eurasian and Israeli mobs, have since eclipsed the original American Jewish mafia. New York City, Miami and Los Santos have experienced a rebirthing of Jewish gangsterism over the last thirty years. Most Russian and all Israeli mafia bosses in the United States are of Jewish descent. Jewish American gangsters on both coasts are either independent or affiliated with immigrant mobsters. Jewish criminals remain highly regarded associates of the Five Families in the 2020s.Although Jewish gangsters are still part of criminal gangs and organizations, they've assimilated into the mainstream American underworld. Home-grown groups are typically indistinguishable from the common white American criminal. However, so-called legacy mobs continue activity in Los Santos, New York City and Miami. These organizations work in isolation from Russian and Israeli mobs and don't normally recruit foreigners. They claim lineage from the first Jewish Mob families of the late 19th century. Traditional blue-collar crimes have mostly been phased out of the Jewish Mob, with financial crime and political corruption becoming the mob's mainstay. Police departments and the FBI consider the original Jewish Mob to be active and numbering in the several hundreds across the country. OOC:We aim to portray a small tight-knit group of Jewish American gangsters in Los Santos. This project depicts the remnants of the Los Santos Jewish Mob, which has existed for over 100 years In Character. We do not intend to become a multi-national crime group; foreign Jews are allowed but remain the exception. We also aren't wishing to become a sprawling faction at any point. We can be joined through IC interactions, or if you'd like to collaborate with our project, you can message damask / loanshark over the forum PMs. This thread is best viewed in Dark Mode.

  8. Everyone assume we are RPing in a modern day LA setting, the truth is that we are RPing in the alternative reality where Biff stole the sports almanac and became Rich. That explains all the violence.

  9. I've always personally felt that violent crime should result in prison sentences to match the crime. A murder charge should basically be a CK --- with the benefit of getting to play your character in the prison system for the rest of the characters life unless you choose to create a new character. And stage breakouts or parole board as the only way to make it out. I know it's not a popular opinion, but without real risk involved there just isn't anything keeping people from realistically fearing engagements and making criminal roleplay less menial stupidity and more well thought out and organized crime. Just my two cents.

  10. Yeah it's kinda whack and the only solution seems to be petty arrests, quick releases, namechanges, CKs etc etc for the cycle only to repeat. So no matter what civilians or law enforcement do with their RP and these kinds of criminals and criminality, it just keeps occurring and will keep occurring. We're approaching DM server status here, not across the board, but in these ongoing incidents where we have maybe 700+ deaths per week. Kinda tragic, not very 'heavy roleplay.' People working continuity really need to extrapolate here on what this server is meant to be portraying, what 'realism' is in the context of this server and maybe reinforce or develop low-crime or no-crime areas so people can actually explore multiple kinds of roleplay that are not murder, gore, death and casual robbery and killing, so on, so forth.

The gang's territory stretches out from Laguna Place to the start of Spanish Avenue, usually hanging around the complex or basketball court the Crips can be seen doing criminal to normal activities most of the time. The set claims Gangster Crip (3x) beefing Rollin and Neighborhood sets, causing Crip on Crip problems instead of the rival Bloods. The Laguna's formed two main cliques ran by members, going from illegal activity to illegal activity, based on all the skillsets... Being Young Money Gangstas (YMG) and Court Side Ladies (CSL). The gang can be seen rocking LA hats, blue clothing, and grey clothing, representing Laguna Crips. The comedown As Laguna grew membership the Los Santos Police Department peeked an eye, the members of Laguna were moving recklessly, breaking laws daily, getting in shootings, and making the territory "HOT" with gang units from the LSPD roaming the area. One night Laguna affiliates went for a house robbery in the Canals of Vespucci, one of the members included Kamani "hKopOut" Johnson. As the trio went to break into one of the mansions a hidden camera inside the garden caught the trio, alerting the LSPD units were on the way, speeding down the Canals the LSPD arrived with the trio still inside. Kamani told the duo to pass the guns to him as he'd take the "heavy" charge, exiting the house as the trio got arrested and sent to prison The life of Reno "bKreakout" Mays Reno "bKreakout" Mays born in 2005 died just when he was seventeen. Being the big brother of two, an upcoming star basketball player, and an affiliate within the Laguna set. As Reno was in the car ready to go to a house party located in Hawick he drove there with two of his other basketball friends. Once Reno went inside the party was going great until a trio of males came inside the room and sprayed the party up... LSPD reports at least fifty shots were fired. Two minors were wounded and left one male dead... That male was Reno "bKreakout" Mays. The LSPD was processing evidence as many witnesses were inside as they claim to have heard shots outside than come inside the party. OOC INFO The Northside Laguna Gangster Crips are here to realistically portray a LA Crip gang. There is no real-life Laguna Crip gang, the gang portrayal is heavily based on LA Crip sets. Before anyone attempts to join we ask, please research and have a sense of LA gangs and their politics. If you are here too just come in and troll you will be removed by faction leadership on the spot, we will not tolerate trolls or anyone who is not giving us quality role-play. 13. If 90% of the legal roleplayers I run into care more about ERP, hoarding enough luxury cars to outfit a dealership, and who's primary recreational activity is AFK'ing on the dancefloor in the club for hours at a time. Then I'm going to go out on a limb and say they don't care about my attempts to "Create quality roleplay". I'll go ahead & reverse uno you, most legal RPers are playing SecondLife. Shit-flinging aside, from my perspective as a primarily illegal RP'er, LEO's have all the tools necessary and more to combat the illegal scene. They just don't utilize them to their full effect and would rather, as previously mentioned by other posters on this thread, act as emotionless robocops that charge into gunfire. There's also other issues, though those are better addressed to the LEO leadership and has already been pointed out in the IFM chat. What I've witnessed is more and more LEO oriented content being added to the server, and only a few minor changes to how they operate such as the helicopter rule because having someone hover over and area of the map for 30 minutes straight shining a moonbeam on a group of people for simply standing around was beyond stupid. I'm all for cutting down on blockwipes, they annoy me just as much as they do you, as they actively disrupt roleplay in an area often for hours at a time because someones ego was hurt OOC. The argument for poor portrayal however extends to both sides. There are quality illegal RP'ers, and there are the shitters and DM'ers which give the scene a bad reputation. Then there are quality LEO RP'ers who portray actual human beings and who has a goal to RP instead of just a play-to-win mentality. And then you got the other LEO's who's main source of knowledge about law enforcement seems to stem from Training Day and other Hollywood action movies. I've seen mentions of harshers punishments being dealt for consistent rulebreaking and I am in your boat on that, but there are bad apples on all three sides, within the illegal scene, the LEO scene, and the legal scene.

  14. At the end of a day, were playing a game and you have to understand that. It should never be 1:1 to real life, if so then what's the point of even playing? Illegal roleplayers have made tons of sacrifices for the enjoyment of legal rpers. Seeing some people on here complaining about LEO nerfs is really just laughable. Nothing can be 1:1 to real life, but LA does have one of the highest crime rates in the world, and has the most gang violence out of any city except maybe Chicago. Something that I rarely see people talking about on here is the LEO RPers, they camp around corners and rush into shootouts trying to save the day and die because they have no backup. A lot of the times LEO RPers are just asking to get shot and do not value their life at all. Your job as LEO RPers shouldn't be to stop crime, it should be to work with the illegal roleplayers to create quality roleplay. It just doesn't happen, most LEO RPers have an us vs them mindset.
