  1. glad to see people using their own gear. What you got? switch to normal mod, dark mode is bugged anyways.
  2. Glad to see people enjoying this - I find it sad that most of the people IG don't even bother to roleplay a DJ, but stream a mix or a radio and grab the money. I'd love to see more dedication towards this at some point.
  3. I really think we should implement a system like House Control, where houses can be evaluated based on neighborhoods and then players will not be able to sell them for more. I understand this would be a pain in the ass for admins to check it out, so therefore, modifying the script to something more suitable would have the desired effect - you can sell the house to a player with the desired amount(ex: House in Mirror Park, MP is 50k, you can sell it for 150+furniture - you don't have to put the furniture cost on top of the 150k, the script does it automatically - if you try to sell it for 150.001, the script won't let you. If you try to sell it to MP and the player pays you the money, then it's a rule breach and it can be traced down). The script idea would basically function on neighborhoods: if you live up on the hills, your property can be sold for MP + 2m(an example) and you don't have to worry about breaching the rule, because the script will be based on areas/neighborhoods. I just think it's a lot of work to do this, but in the end players cannot sell their houses for 5M in Sandy or Mirror Park, because they cannot do that. I know this comes from some frustration of mine, roleplaying in the county and seeing a lot of people complaining about buying a property, but this address the entire map, and you can only add a limited amount of houses or apartments, then the market is saturated and prices will only go up. The rule against high prices is good, but there's always gonna be people bypassing every rule you have. I'm thinking that a script that only allows you to sell your house to MP + neighborhood value (+automatically furniture price) would be a cool idea to keep the prices to a minimum. After all, if you're not a real estate agency and you don't do house flipping, you shouldn't worry about how much a house costs - properties should be affordable by anyone because it just comes in handy for roleplay, and that's it. I'm not gonna sell my house for x50's value just to get rich, because that doesn't happen anywhere in this world. (just watch some real estate shows, they show this very well, buying a shitty house for 80k and selling it after refurnishing and fixing everything to 200, 250k - and that's in nice neighborhoods). Not sure if my idea is well put, but if more details are needed (in case this does sounds ok), let me know.
  4. this joke has been already made and I'm serious 🙂
  5. how can I downvote smth
  6. Hey, I'm planning a trip around Europe and I'd love to see some unique cities that you guys advice me to visit. The countries I'm gonna go through are Italy, France, Switzerland and Austria - so any cities that you think are not that known but worth the visit, please let me know. 🙂 Thanks!
  7. Well I made a suggestion about a month or so ago and Selena confirmed that they are working on a map mod for Sandy. This. County RP has no limits in my eyes, you just have to want to do it, otherwise it's pointless. The issue with city folks coming and looking for a 'vacation house' in a meth head city that's full of sand and rotten people makes no sense to me. That's the opposite of a vacation town, yet people come driving fancy cars asking for a place to buy - so that's why county people are so protective of the properties, because there's always at least one or two more guys that are on the waiting list, and they have been roleplaying in the county for weeks, if not months, and they still sleep in an RV or at the motel. Property is not a big issue if you really want to RP in the county - I RPed without a house for a month or so, and then applied through PM and got one, so it's really up to you. Again, seeing houses in the county going for 3-4mil, simply report them. Seeing anything related to properties that's wrong, simply report them and you've done your job there.
  8. County roleplay exists, but it's not what you expected. Sandy, and the proximities, are active and there is roleplay, we even have two or three factions - this is not Los Santos, you rarely will see places crowded or full of people roleplaying. Don't come to the county and expect that. Businesses are open from time to time, and there is an on going remapping of the Sandy area to replace the useless trailers with some useful stuff. Property Management also takes good care of property properties and gives it only to people that can provide they are in the area roleplaying. We also have a suggestion regarding properties, where is a discussion going on, about PM being more entitled to stop any sales that's clearly going into the wrong direction in terms of character portrayal. Not sure how is this a game suggestion, but more of a discussion. Again, county roleplay is not your usual roleplay. People do roleplay in their own little bubble and won't be as visible as other places. There are players in Sandy every day and they do roleplay.
  9. I agree with bncal here, some people roleplay this - and I think that doing what you described already falls under common courtesy or power gaming - if you feel someone does that, feel free to report.
  10. I spoke with PM and they told me that they need a proper rule, while this one still exists, they might want something more directed to this issue. While this is true, this is not real life and even in real life, the situations where a rich guy buys a house in the projects is quite rare and usually doesn't happen. Also, we have a very limited number of houses here and we all struggle to find a proper place to roleplay. I totally agree with you, and not just for the county properties - but all areas where there's a huge struggle to find a place to buy or even rent.
  11. Detailed Description As you may have seen before, some forum ads about houses/properties are sometimes a bit off in terms of looking for a buyer - I won't name names here, but they simply write "I don't care who gets it, as long as it's the highest bidder" - this usually turns into a battle of whoever has more money and eventually people that are richer will get places in which their character(s) would not live( ex: bidding for a house in Davis when your character lives Downtown but you'll take it and sell it to make profit later on). I think you get the idea. Currently, there's no rule that says you're not allowed to do that, and people are free to sell their properties to anyone, including the wrong people, so that's how neighborhood roleplay is destroyed in some places where it could have a lot of potential, and it's just a matter of money. We all know how strict PM is when it comes to property requests, especially for that - because the housing market is difficult at the moment and you don't want to give out a property to the wrong people. Furthermore, I know some of you are aware that I roleplay in the county and this is the case there (people from Los Santos asking for properties for a 'vacation house' in a town like Sandy makes no sense, but they eventually get a property while locals have to live in the motel or in RVs), but this problem is everywhere. It gets harder and harder to find a place anywhere on the map because someone with more money will buy it, even though their character(s) have nothing to do with the area. Relevant Commands/Items How will it benefit the server? 1 - we will no longer see characters that are out of the place in these areas, from rich people living in rough neighborhoods to random town people living in Paleto or Sandy, etc. 2 - better neighborhood roleplay. I know this isn't something very popular, but for smaller neighborhoods this is something very fun. Personally, I host barbecues in my backyard with the people that are living around me, and I wouldn't want to have neighbors that are out of the context 100% (just like the examples I gave above). Admins will be able to stop any selling that takes place and it's forbidden by this rule - the buyer's character has nothing to do with the environment/neighborhood of the house. Basically, they can take care that no property is sold to the wrong player in terms of character portrayal. hopefully this was explained enough. thanks, socrates
  12. Yea, I'd like to see jobs like that IG though. Train conductor would be a decent job.
  13. Not sure if this was posted in here, but I'd love to see a train system that would go from Sandy/Paleto back to LS, and vice-versa. It would be much easier for people to travel there, especially those without a car. A subway system would be very cool, it would make a lot of people not depend on their vehicles that much. Personally, I'd love to just walk around town and use metro system to go from point A to B, rather than taking my car.
  14. It's a conversation, how is that forced? In real life, when you speak to someone, you usually turn your face towards them and it's easier to recognize who is speaking to who. I don't see anything forced here, it's a mess if there's a group of ten people to talk and you always have to /me speaks to X, and there's a chance X doesn't even read your action.
