Hi, looking to purchase one of the High-end RV (Sandking, sandstormer, or guardian) Thanks!
  2. A single interaction with one faction isn't necessarily what they usually are, so If I was to name drop or to show what I feel like was over-exaggerated escalation it wouldn't be representative of their faction or their players. So I can't out of good faith just post it, and it's not crying, I don't care I'll just take my RP somewhere else, I can take a L I mean 90% of what happens to my characters are taking L's. My point wasn't to point to someone or a faction, that is just pointless. The point of this thread was to have a discussion as why this is happening and more like making an observation as why county is dead and there's rarely a business opened.
  3. While I'm not here to try to flame you, or your faction. Since you are being vocal about this, I will say that I didn't try to engage into hostilities with your members, but they purposefully tried to start shit and I don't remember exactly what I said, but I said to one of your member something like " that he should find peace or something" and apparently that's an insult so bad that he was willing to risk going to prison for it (By trying to attack me and destroying a front door of a 24/7). Yes, my character is more on the "hippy" side of things and speak differently a bit, as he's more a philosopher and pro peace and despises violence. And to answer the above comment of calling 911 for a wasp, I was just trying to bring a bit of life as sometimes it does get boring. And 911 do get plenty of stupid calls, but that's just how it is in real life as well and I felt like that would break the routine for the cops, and that is most likely why they showed up and role-played the scene for a bit and dm'ed me saying they liked those kinds of calls. And since we're talking about the wasp incident most people role-played it perfectly, until your member just walked in and did /me slaps wasp on the counter and that's supposed to be "quality RP", well food for thoughts for sure. But props to that girl that's part of your faction for being willing to provide a recording of the incident that happened even by giving it to me it would get her friends to "lose". But to me the issue was that I don't understand the going straight to pure violence and fighting... It just lacks creativity and seems like a missed opportunity to role-playing something more interesting for everyone. Your member could've done many things to my character, but instead went for the typical "Let me beat him", come on man. And this wasn't a "bitch post" it was just stating a fact that a lot of players, mostly criminals in the sandy shore area are always the same type of player with the same typical uncreative role-play, but I guess you guys to seem to enjoy chasing different and unique characters out of Sandy, you do you I guess, it just sucks for us trying to bring life somewhere else than LS.
  4. Hi, new player here, played a bit a few months ago and got in an accident but I'm back on the server. I decided to make a hippy like character and roleplay in the sandy shores area. All went well for the first few hours until some people showed up acting all tough like they own the place. Now I'm fine with gangs and faction having their territories and it makes sense to a certain degree. The sad part is I'm just trying to bring life out in the county as I thought the scenic views would fit a hippy character better, but sadly I ended up being forcibly attacked on the daily even if I didn't go look for trouble, trouble came my way.... And of course, they always call you a R-word and then apparently that gives them a reason to attack you and beat you to death. I understand we're all trying to roleplay our things, but when you force yourself upon others to create conflict purposefully it makes your RP seem weak and terrible. If someone is working in a 24/7 I don't think they're trying to be a threat to you even if they roleplay something different than your typical white tough guy... I was told by multiple people that's one of the reason the country side is mostly empty as people are literally pushed off by people complaining about how the country is empty... Honestly it just sucks and drains my feel to play, I was having fun until they came and destroyed my character, I don't mind losing and it's not about winning or losing anything but about enjoying myself without looking for trouble. But apparently outside LS being different is a reason to get beaten for no reason, and yes I should probably report them but then if they get punished they'll somehow end up trying to hate me, out of character when they did that to themselves. I'm not looking for punishment but for a basic form of realism. According to their logic, if you're a black person and they're racist that can give them the right to beat you if you're alone in a store, absolutely unacceptable for a server that labels itself as "HEAVY RP". Crete your own RP and I'm sure illegal factions can create conflict which each-others, and civilians are just an extra layer of rp around it to make it feel better and level up your playing experience. But I'm new, so am I in the wrong or am I right? I truly do not know.... But it's a bit sad and it sucks
  5. States Parks so cool, yo! Marvin for park staff, yo, let's go! He's the park staff they need, bro, yo! Marv's the one to make State Parks grow. But Im still enjoying the faction from afar, still really cool. but
  6. @gnvx keep up the good work! PHMC is awesome!
  7. So far a lot of players are super friendly, I only encountered a few that weren't but I just ignore them, I guess sometimes people are having a bad day I reckon. But the quality of roleplay is great! Well, unless you go in Davis, which I will never go again! People would punch me for no reasons, it was weird.
  8. I'm a noob on gta rp, but I have some years of role-playing experience on other platforms. But I got to say, every single person I pm'ed in game to ask for help always helped me, even if I was a total noob. The tester team is really awesome, and they're actually legitimately trying to help, even if I spam /helpme all the time as the script is overwhelming for a new player. I'm really happy to see that this server isn't what other people said it was. I only have positive experiences so far, and I hope it stays this way. I clearly see that the admins are quite busy, as they don't always help me with my requests but that's probably because I'm a noob. But I sadly seen some less positive things said on the forums or on discord, and I wonder why do people take it so serious? We're here to enjoy a game people! Let the story of others take you to some places you didn't expect! Look, be cool, because being un-cool isn't cool (hehe). This server is great and even if I'm a solo roleplayer I find a lot of great rp out there, especially as a cab driver, I didn't expect to meet so many awesome players! Remember guys! Keep it cool, for all we know a massive space meteor could crush us tomorrow 😞 I hope I'm not too naive and got lucky, I refuse to believe that!
  9. Temporary short bans are still more effective than an admin jail, ban them for a day even if it's a light offense, they'll quickly learn the hard way. As I said above having to afk inside a jail for a period of time does not teach anyone anything. When you parents told you to go to your room or sit in the corner, did you REALLY learn? Did that actually work? It sure didn;'t for me, the same for ajail. You could ban someone for 8-12-24-36-48 hours. Most effective way, otherwise you get out of the jail like nothing happened. What's 90 minutes if you can play the whole day?
  10. I think that people that break the rules like @Wiphyz said are clearly not trying to create a proper character story, and from my newbie perspective seem to be doing light-rp and subar rp in most cases. I don't understand what an admin jail really provides, a temp ban for a day or two would be much more effective, admin jail just means that the rulebreakers will afk and watch netflix. Even on our Gmod servers we went away from admin jails, as it wasn't effective but instead going for temp ban proved to be much better. And instead of banning them "permanently" just ban them for a set amount of days that doubles each times, that's what we did and you couldn't go back. I remember a guy had to wait 240 days to get back, and there was no way to appeal it. After his 240 days he never broke a rule again and became a better player and helped our server grow.
  11. Username: Marv the Carve Comment: Bro, that's wild for real like highkey messed up poor mayor, the mayor also stole my nickname
  12. New player here, I don't know much about the server but I can tell you that I don't see an issue with long emotes but as long as it's not in a crowded area. In a public place like a bar or business writing wall of texts even if they give out good information might not be the best thing. But in a more private setting I will not hold out and type much more detailed emotes as I feel it's going to be enjoyable to add more depth to the scene no?
