From my experience, TeamSpeak is severely neglected when it comes to enforcing the rules. It’s supposed to be used for in-character (IC) communication, but in reality, it’s often treated like random Discord call with friends or a formal MG discord server, even during active operations. People make comments that could potentially incite rule-breaking, and it’s either ignored or met with a minor "scolding". The only difference between a criminal using Discord and a cop using TeamSpeak is that the server allows it. Other than IC communication, everything else should be considered metagaming (MG) if they discuss anything related to the game, as it’s no different from being on a Discord call. Criminals are severely punished when this occurs while teamspeak isn't even monitored for these instances. I suggest having non-LEO staff monitor the channels. There are various ways to implement this, and even if it only serves as a deterrent due to an admin's presence, it would be better than just allowing these violations to happen.

So what's next? School shootings? "Obviously not how dare you say that!" But where do we draw the moral line? I'm curious. I don't think natural disasters or anything affecting a wide range of people should be roleplayed. You could just turn on the news and say "maybe do this some other time", it seems like we're a bit out of touch with reality.
-
Have you ever experienced racism or sexual assault? Why are you comparing the seriousness of each topic? They're both serious issues.
-
So your argument is that its not 1:1 so they can be racist. Why stop with racism? Why not allow people roleplaying Americans to say mate IC because half of the server's populations is from England. Why not add a King and a Royal Family? Oh it unrealistic but racism is just IC so even if its unrealistic its IC and should remain that way, makes sense....

R19 isn't an IC issue Over usage of the robbery system isn't an IC issue The abuse/overuse of anything isn't an IC issue. This isn't an IC issue, we've already explained how this isn't something that's done in LA, the state we mimic, so how can random racist be IC? It's literally unrealistic.
-
All the minus ones saying that its pointless but bad. I don't get it. So we're just suppose to be okay with it?
-
I said that in the original post, that'll not get accepted either.
-
Who's comparing sexual assault to racism? They cannot be compared they're different issues entirely. Are you trying to say that racism should be taken lightly? Also why are you trying to Insinuate that I'm trolling? because I don't think its right to have people running about making racist remarks on a game? This is a very serious issue and you can see the only people saying that it's IC are the people involved in the factions that promote racism IC.

Racism isn't an IC issue. It's weirdos on the net living out their racist tensions on the game because they're too scared to do in real life. When the weirdos who was doing weirdo shit in relation to ERP was identified it was addressed with R 19 When there was too much unrealistic robberies it was addressed with the robbery rules. Now Tom Dick and Harry could just make a new character and log in and call me the k word or the r word with no development or real repercussions because it's a new character, why should that be allowed? Would you call SA an IC thing?

The amount of racism IG is unrealistic especially if we're mimicking LA, I was told that you can't say "erotic roleplay' in the game but you can say the N-word anytime, anywhere. I think new rules should be developed in relation to that, adding specific words for all races. It's 2024, I don't think you want to have a server that openly allows racism in any form or it should be limited to certain factions and characters. If that doesn't work then allow people to shoot over racist remarks.

I feel like comments like these is why people crash out over wars, they see it as TDM instead of RP. This is also why people cheat and break the rules to get a couple PKs off. The whole notion of killing "locals" during a war and using "bystanders get killed all the time" as an excuse is also funny considering the rate of death in the game. Sure let's allow people to just kill randoms two day into RP because they were seen once or twice RPing with a faction, I'm sure that'd want them to keep on wanting to roleplay in a gang or black gang rp in general to be specific (the demographic this is mostly affected by). If wars were roleplay'd properly, I'd agree to some sort of consequence to losing them, I also think that some sort of OOC video should be provided before a kill is deemed valid if you want to punish people for losing wars, even still it's just gonna add to the ego trip trying to win a war already has and people will go through leaps and bounds to win them.

As I said this isn't to bash you in anyway, this is just a near perfect example. These reports were left on the back burner, they've been up for three weeks now.
-
We've had numerous reports lasting weeks, first I was like "it might be a Twitch streamer thing where they have a platform so their reports might get handled earlier for good press" but then I realized that Banknotes who has more viewers, had a report up for three weeks and nobody responded to it. Now if you look at this person reports you can see that they are usually handled on the same day, even in game her reports get handled in 2 minutes. I'm not trying to bash this specific person but they're the perfect example. I'm not trying to bash the admin team in any way I understand that you have a big workload, but my point is shouldn't there be some sort of structure when handling forum reports like a queue or something? It's unfair to players to see reports getting handled so quickly when they have to wait three or four weeks to get a response on theirs. Discuss.

What's the point of not breaking the rules if people get unbanned so easily or don't even get punished. Multiple warnings are given, you're expected to be exemplary but you still manage to get off after making a convincing appeal or something when you get banned, I think there would be less rule breaking in general if the server was stricter. I think perma bans should be removed and actual times should be set as we know perma bands are not permanent, you should force people to do a set amount of time before they can even appeal. It's hard to play the server and follow the rules when you know 7/10 people are not doing that and just getting a slap on the wrist and then they'll just continue to do the same things.

One life would work in a near perfect RP server which is impossible. I think it'd just increase the admin work load, people will still kill over the slightest of things, especially people who know they can just nc if anything goes wrong. We're going off topic though.
