  1. two more!! im very proud of how these came out for the promo series, and im especially proud of selena for her work on her image!! Selena Winslow i only had very little editing in this one, mainly around color adjustment. but it was entirely created by @Selena , and im insanely proud of her for how well she quickly grasped photo manipulation! its one of my favorite in the series thus far, and i couldnt have asked for it in a better way. Brooke Taylor this one was really fun for me! i was very inspired by the icarus cinematic in Deus Ex, and Selena also provided me the reference for clothing from an Alexander McQueen runway show. im extremely pleased with how it came out, and brooke did amazing in providing a fantastic source image to work with! one of the primary challenges i faced with this image was the complete lack of shadows. in brooke's source image, she seemed to use a large atmospheric lighting that nailed the color tone, but unfortunately muted the shadows i needed to make the image cohesive with the wings, dress, and jewelry. so, every shadow in the image is created artificially by me, mostly by using the overlay layer function, and running an air brush along creases and edges. thanks for looking, and thank you so much for all the comments! i always love to hear feedback.

  3. A regular citizen who reports seeing a crime isn't a "snitch" or a "rat," the criminals were just sloppy. Snitches and rats are not the same thing, let me break it down to make sure y'all see what I mean. A "snitch" is someone minding other folks' business. To find information they can sell for a price or trade for some other form of compensation. A "rat" is a traitor, a conceiver, planner, or physical participator. He doesn't sell secrets for power or cash, he betrays the trust of his team or his family hoping to save his own cowardly ass. The difference is, at least a snitch is human, but a rat is a fuckin' rat, period.

  4. It was one of the best factions so far that I've met in gta:w. You were the strongest allies and the fiercest rivals. I can even confess my "secret" that I was having an alt character to secretly play with you all for sometime. Unfortunately, all the good things have an end 😞 Shout-out to my favorite characters: Pitbull, Swifty, Taina & Claws. One love! ❤️

  5. Short description: Modify Server Rule 2/Powergaming - CCTV to add the exterior grounds of ULSA to the CCTV Exceptions list Detailed description: Alternative to this suggestion (linky click here). Modify 2/Powergaming - CCTV to read: CCTV are permitted within a person's residence, if a player has mounted cameras outside their residence, in their vehicles or any place filming the public, they must get the consent of all parties involved. Exceptions: Stores that can be robbed have CCTV. The police can review these. State agencies and Government vehicles may use front facing dash cams, without the consent of anyone. CCTV is permitted inside Government buildings without the consent of anyone. CCTV is permitted on the exterior grounds of the University of Los Santos San Andreas (ULSA) without the consent of anyone. Commands to add: N/A Items to add: N/A How would your suggestion improve the server?: Most every institution of higher learning has their grounds completely saturated with security cameras. However, these same institutions tend to have minimal-to-no cameras inside their buildings to respect the privacy of dorming students/etc. This would also act as a reasonable deterrent to those who commit violent crimes on campus grounds by blatantly informing all that their actions taken outdoors will very likely be recorded by CCTV without having to go the route of flat-out OOC restricting certain crimes from campus grounds. By only covering exterior grounds, the privacy of the dorms/class rooms/rec rooms is maintained for anyone to continue their activities in private. Additional information: N/A

  11. ULSA is relatively safe compared to say, all of Los Santos. To give it some perspective there's a mass shooting almost weekly in differing parts of Los Santos, yes they certainly do hyper-focus on Davis and Rancho, but for the most part, you can get a 911 about multiple shot in every spot in the city depending on the incident. No where is really that safe, and that's just the nature of the videogame. There's so much violent crime in Los Santos that it's practically danger-zone no matter where you step. Now, with that noted, ULSA is extremely safe considering. Yes there's shootings, but the shootings usually are connected to the campus OR they're caused by bored people with guns, identity varied. Is there reason for a protective shield around ULSA? Not really. They have the security, school resource officers, and general atmosphere to protect themselves through roleplay. There will be slips, there will be incidents. But forum reports and admin intervention can assist, plus SD/PD resource officers can intervene if needed, and you have a security agency on hand to deal with incidents. Plus most of the 911 calls in the ULSA area is stolen property more than violent crime. Or brawls, or idiot's jumping off of cars and turning their spine into a German pretzel twist. For the rest of the time, it's a perfectly safe campus. It's not as dangerous as advertised on this thread.

  13. Short description: Simply add the University of Los Santos, San Andreas to the listed safezones in the server's rules. Detailed description: The University of Los Santos, San Andreas is currently not a listed safezone. This resulted in a Davis gang going 8 deep in shooting up the place. It makes absolutely zero sense to commit a school shooting of any kind without an administrator's permission. It's silly and not conducive to any good role-play whatsoever. There's nothing else to detail to this, except: a state university is no different than a police/fire station or any other setting like that when it comes to the realm of the game — it's a hotspot for players, and it shouldn't be a free for all area in general. Commands to add: N/A Items to add: N/A How would your suggestion improve the server?: It currently makes no sense to allow any player to shoot up the university for absolutely no reason. If someone wants to role-play shooting on campus, it's only fair that they need to be vetted/supervised by an administrator. Additional information: N/A

  19. Actually there was a rule in place at one point inside PD, and it's still in place I believe that says if there's no reason to be out there, don't go out there. Because you had some cops that would literally just camp out and try to kick with the cool kids.

  21. The Main Street Mafia Crips (MSMC) are predominately an African-American street gang located in the heart of South Los Santos mainly operating between Davis Ave and Roy Lowenstein Boulevard. Formally known as the "Main Street Hustlers" until several Crip factions started flooding the neighborhoods around them. The street gang, Main Street Hustlers, along with its founding leaders Melvin "Money" Jones, Keith "Hot Head" Kildare, and Gerald "Knuckles" Caldwell, established a very distinctive reputation in South Los Santos in the late 1950s. The group was known for being extremely money-orientated and cunning. Most locals and residents around that time noted that MSH members were "slick" furthermore concluding that their were things happening right under there nose that they were completely unaware of. MSH had a short but interesting span, only lasting for nearly a decade until a new fad began in the early '60s, cripping. In 1961, the Main Street Hustlers made headlines after Money Jones got incarcerated on multiple felony charges such as; Human trafficking, sexual assault, first degree murder, distribution of illegal narcotics, and money laundering. This lead the group to break in shambles, letting multiple internal disagreements distance each other. While the rest of the members were trying to figure out the next step, Knuckles Caldwell plotted against MSH with a power-orientated man by the name of Nathaniel "Slim" Thomas who was also a well known member of the Davis Crips. The agreement between Caldwell and Thomas was to take down the Main Street Hustlers completely, but only to implement something better. From that day forward, Caldwell always spoke to his fellow MSH members that it'll be a wise decision to integrate with the Crips due to multiple reasonings, but Kildare stood strongly against him every time. These disagreements lead to a complete fallout and split. On January 21st, 1962, Caldwell and Thomas approached a parked car on north Main Street (which was later renamed Roy Lowenstein Boulevard in 1976) and opened fire with two semi-automatic 9mm pistols killing Dontae "Bolt" Lowry, a MSH member that was loyal to Kildare. This started a very bloody war between the two MSH groups, creating a nasty revenge cycle. By 1963, both sides of the Main Street Hustlers lost more than half of their members. The war, which Thomas instigated and played a large role in the whole time, turned into Thomas's perfect opportunity to replace MSH with something of his own. On March 2nd, 1965, Keith "Hot Head" Kildare succumbed to bullet wounds to the back of the head at his Main Street residence, finalizing Thomas's plan. This is where the transition from a independent street gang to one of the puzzle pieces of a "criminal network" was created. Thomas recruited the rest of the MSH members and turned the hood Crip as planned. Later on falling under the Mafia umbrella. The Main Street Mafia Crips are allies of all gangs under the Mafia Crip brand. Members of this gang have been known to sport yellow and blue apparel and will often dawn University of Michigan gear to symbolize their gang.

  22. I understand that /bad shouldn't be available to literally everyone because they would be all over. But really do we think that this is the only solution? To have GPS coords in your vehicle for open businesses to search? This server started out being against play to win, and this is what it is becoming by not addressing this. People get mad at getting robbed all the time, but it's not viable to legal roleplay when you can't function as a business if no one knows that you are open. We need to discuss some other alternatives to allowing players to showing up on the map when they open, while still giving donators something extra. I understand having other things, maybe special cars for donators that only they can get from dealerships or something, but then they can be on the street for anyone to buy. I don't fully understand furniture being donator only, but I'll let that one slide. Even radio stations, I somewhat get, but like say someone wants to be a DJ or something, they gotta pay real money to do it? Those aren't what this thread is about though. Maybe have some kind of IC license with the city or the News station to advertise where you pay a monthly fee or something? Make it viable to have the same features available to everybody at least SOME way. Brushing this under the carpet and archiving it is a bit ridiculous. I have no problem donating every now and then, but I don't want to pay 25 bucks a month just for rights to ads. That's almost twice as much as a monthly WoW sub, which is insane. Idk, I just feel something needs to be done about this to make it more viable for people to run legal roleplay effectively and not have to resort to either working for someone or crime. Maybe add some kind of blip ability on the bronze donator selection even, and make it at least a BIT more affordable. Even if it's some watered down blip at least it would be SOMETHING in the right direction. There's currently 15 mins between ads for bronze, why not add blip to that and have 15 mins between? even that seems more agreeable.
