  1. Hello gamers, As the title suggests, I personally would like to see rape added to the list of banned roleplay like necro, paedo, bestiality, and cannibalism roleplay. I personally find this type of roleplay upsetting and tasteless. I'm not quite sure why it can be said that real life politics can be considered upsetting while seemingly this type of roleplay gets a free pass. I believe it can genuinely ruin interactions between roleplayers, and make some hesitant to interact with others. Wouldn't it be based to just be kidnapped without the OOC fear of your character being raped, possibly triggering some form of irl PTSD? I know someone who was kidnapped and the individuals involved attempted to get that type of roleplay done, obviously the victim refused and logged off - they didn't return to GTA:W for two months. And yes, I understand it's realistic and so on and that there are some very difficult topics engaged in this roleplay community... I just don't believe this just should be one of them. Meaningful rape rp sounds kind of ridiculous, doesn't it? I know there are some players out there who constantly roll chars to engage in this type of roleplay, which is pretty grim. I would also like to add that while both parties may have consented to engage in such roleplay, but was I asked for consent? Dealing with the aftermath of rape through RP is also quite upsetting for me. I would never consent to this type of roleplay, but I have been confronted several times by characters who have been. Looking forward to your feedback about this one gamers, have a good one.

  2. Short description: Add 4 types of driving permits. -MOTORBIKE (motorbikes) (5 warnings and after character driving ban) -VEHICLE (Everything from sedans and civilian cars) (5 warnings and after character driving ban) -SMALL UTILITY (LOGISTICS) (Vans and small industrial vehicles) (3 warnings and after character driving ban) -HEAVY UTLITY (LOGISTICS) (Benson, Tow, basically big trucks) (3 warnings and after character driving ban) Also ban drivers for life. With option of unban through rigorous process with LSPD which gives a very low probablity of getting back permit. Detailed description: Add the four types of licenses mentioned, with driving exams for each. With their costs. PLus a banning system which will scare those who think reckless driving is funny. I really think a warning system like in real life should be enforced onto people, because it is seriously absurd how much RP the reckless driving has affected. And there's multiple situations, videos and videos of unrealistic situations. Commands to add: No commands just centers to get these exams taken. Items to add: each permit of these things. How would your suggestion improve the server? A balanced stop to the reckless driving for once and all. Additional information: We can discuss pricing for each permit. Also how many warnings should be given.

  3. White City Mafia (WCM) was a result of on-going criminal activity in the Chamberlain Hills Projects just on the corner of Forum Drive. The community there represents locals and involved drug dealers as young as sixteen years of age. Their supply was mainly from the Morrison & Meadows Drug Trafficking Organisation, and served as the running frontline for the DTO's drug supplier at the bottom of the chain, as well as various illegal activities. The group was ran primarily by one boss, Bryce "Dopeboy" Harrington. In comparison to other African-American sets in the southside, the set took a more backseat approach in terms of politics and relations with other groups in order to benefit themselves, and in turn, the organization. White City Mafia's turf dominated Forum Drive, and with their increased numbers and control in the drug trade the entire area was deemed as 'White City' by many southside locals. The return of ex-Street Boss Blake ‘Biggie’ Marks to White City was welcomed back with open arms by his old street lieutenant and now Street Boss Bryce ‘Dopeboy’ Harrington. Blake ‘Biggie’ Marks was offered the role of Street Enforcer to act as Dopeboy’s commander in the streets keeping the corner boys and soldiers in line. This was done due to the long-term friendship between Blake and Bryce, with Bryce even rumoured to be the best-man at Blake’s wedding. As numbers in the gang and money-train grew under Dopeboy’s leadership so did eyes on the street operation. This happened at the same time as the murder rate tripled leading various law enforcement agencies drawn to the main players in White City Mafia. The rise in the murder rate was led by a small number of growing loyalists to ex Street Boss Blake Marks. The rise in murder rate occurred much to Bryce’s displeasure but this was swept aside as a result of his loyalty to his old friend Blake. This came to ahead on Dopeboy’s own D-Day on White City, where the events of the night prior saw Orlando ‘Lando’ Keys and Blake ‘Biggie’ Marks attack several sets close to Street Boss Dopeboy. This led to White City Mafia fighting a costly war on three fronts against Darkside Neighborhood Bloods, Davis Families Gangster Blood and Barrio 13. All sets had been long term business partners of White City Mafia because of Dopeboy’s leadership. Dopeboy was now faced with no allies fighting a potential war on three fronts. Blake’s actions behind Bryce’s back led him to become disillusioned with the culture and program of White City Mafia. As a result, he took his complaints to the plug and Kingpin Marquis ‘Qiz’ Meadows who ensured supply to the projects would be maintained even if Bryce took over the complex under his name eradicating any allegiance to White City Mafia from the projects. With Marquis’ blessing, Bryce began gathering loyalists to his cause unbeknownst to other White City Mafia members. Marquis’ blessing led to a string of murders in one night. In what can only now be described as a series of Machiavellian plays. Blake ‘Biggie’ Marks was gunned down in front of the projects by a masked assailant, now known to be Street Lieutenant Jevonne ‘Von’ Love. Orlando ‘Lando’ Keys, the main reason of the war between White City and the Damu Alliance was gunned down on Forum Drive a few hours later by Soldier Deshawn ‘Des’ Bennet. The fate of soldier Raheem ‘Heem’ Reynolds was probably the most indicative of Bryce’s attitude to White City. Raheem Heem Reynolds engaged in a back and forth with Darkside Neighborhood Blood member YG Guala. To confirm the end of White City and the start of new era in the housing projects, Bryce and Jevonne convinced Raheem to take a trip with the duo to a drug drop, a routine activity for gang associates. Unknown to Raheem at the location was YG Guala and other affiliates of DSNB. Raheem was the victim of the ultimate double-crossing by Bryce and Jevonne. In attempt to prove his disagreement with the actions of White City, Bryce colluded with the Damu Alliance to set up Raheem ‘Heem’ Reynolds to prove this. Heem was consequently gunned down on sight on his arrival. Intense politicking with the Damu Alliance the war with DSNB, DFGB and B13 in the days that followed White City D-Day, ended the war peacefully with minimal bloodshed after White City Mafia was officially folded by the de facto head of the projects Bryce ‘Dopeboy’ Harrington.

  5. This topic will showcase the sinister life of Jaime "Jay" Alvarado, a youngster born in Paleto Bay. Jay lost his only half-dependent parent at the age of eighteen to a rival Sureno clique, his father left him with nothing. He decided to turn to the life of crime, selling hard drugs from his residence within the South Seas complex purchased online, until he was setup by the detectives bureau in a sting operation. Jay's residence was raided and large quantities of heroin & methamphetamine were seized. He was taken to jail, Jay made a friend whilst in jail who went by the name "F50" who was an affiliate of the Norteño gang, FATBOYZ 14 which Jay was aware of and which was based in Paleto Bay. Members of the FATBOYZ 14 attributed themselves with the Nuestra Familia whilst in prison. F50, Jay and a few other affiliates met in jail served their lengthy sentences in the correctional facility involving themselves in prison riots, fights and drug trafficking. "They had decided enough was enough and released themselves from the grips of the sphere of influence of the Norteño gang and had released ALL ties becoming San Andreas first Bulldogs gang. Gang skirmishes still happen to this day between the two rivaling gang out-side and within prison walls. These Bayside Bulldogs members are easy to distinguish out of the two knowing that they both fly the colours red. Active gang-members of the Bayside Bulldog members are most easily represented by sporting merchandise of the Fresno State Bulldogs team along-side the tattoos that they carry on themselves which may occur to have abbreviations of BDS of such, dog-paws, four dots (a tattoo known to be also worn by the Norteños) as-well as a Fresno State Bulldog casted on themselves. Due to it being such an independent set this gang has no real infrastructure to it despite it's militant ways, a-lot of the influence over the Bayside Bulldogs gang varies between the gang itself in regards to locations due to broken down "cliques" of the gang due to the sheer membership that is held proving difficult for prosecutors to be able to crack down on any form of leadership because there simply isn't one making the gang some-what bulletproof to gang-injunctions."

  6. Ladarrell Webster, also known as TINY TC is a 18 year old African-American from the Vespucci area and resides on the W/S 1300 block also known as "Wacc Side". He is a known affiliate of the Suicidal Town Crips (STC). He’s been actively gang banging since he was 15 years old. TC's run ins with the law enforcement started around this time, by 16, he was already charged with numerous crimes such as: four counts of burglaries, Vandalism, Aggravated Assault, and a gun charge, Penal Code 25850. Robber — This character steals things. He's breaking into homes or robbing others at gunpoint. You can recruit others to help you with your schemes, or do these missions solo. The items are probably sold online, or to others in the neighborhood. Booster — Similar to property theft, this character specializes in stealing clothes. They walk into various stores and steal shirts, jeans, socks, belts, shoes, etc. Maybe they work at a clothing store and steal whatever they can when the boss isn't looking. These characters sell their merchandise online and to others around the neighborhood. Hot Head — This character has a very quick temper. They're always ready to use violence on some of the simplest conflicts. This aggressive behavior would lead to a lot of fights, and possibly jail time. Whether it's their homies or the enemies, this character is quick to fight.

  8. Anton Tszyu Anton Valentinovich Tszyu is a 31 year old Korean Russian from the Russian Far East; he is a part of the Soviet nationality known as Koryo-saram. He immigrated to the United States from Russia in 2016 and has lived in Los Santos ever since. His paternal uncle and cousin both reside in the Little Seoul neighborhood of Los Santos. His cousin owns an Information Technology retail & repair shop in Little Seoul. His business allows to be a fencer for local criminals in the area, buying and selling stolen electronics such as phones, computers and various hardware. The overwhelming majority of his family still lives in the Russian Far East and within Primorsky Krai in particular. However, some of his relatives have migrated elsewhere to European Russia, the Ukraine, South Korea and the United States since the late 1990s. Virtually all of his family who have emigrated abroad have achieved more educational and professional success than they were ever able to while in Russia. Therefore, Anton is considered to be a black sheep within his immediate and extended family, for his abject failure to thrive in a developed nation. Upbringing in Russia Anton Valentinovich Tszyu was born in Ussuriysk, Russia in 1989 but financial problems within the family forced their re-location elsewhere. His family moved when he was 4 years old and he grew up in the impoverished neighborhoods of Vladivostok. He was raised by a former industrial engineer father and a stay-at-home mother. His father, also a Soviet-Afghan War veteran, lost his job and lucrative career when the Soviet Union fell in 1991. He resorted to working low paying manual labor jobs to support his family, and fell into illegal gambling while suffering from alcoholism. Domestic violence was a regular feature in the family's household; verbal abuse and physical violence was normal inside and outside of the home. The family lived in high-rise concrete housing blocks that had been erected by the Communists decades prior. His housing blocks were stricken with disproportionately high rates of violent drug crime, and he was subjected to witnessing these various criminal activities from a very young age. The winters were especially harsh, as cuts to gas caused the family to go several days at a time without central heating in the home. Just to live normally, they had to wear winter clothing while indoors at all times. He got involved with crime as a child and spent prolonged periods of time in the streets with other troubled kids. This began as young as 7 years old. Many of these other troubled kids grew up to become gang members in his neighborhood; most have since died or have gotten locked up in penal labor colonies. Due to the close friendships he had with other street children, some of them were more influential towards him than his own family was. He occasionally ran away from home in the summers and spent weeks at a time away from family. This was done in order to escape his abnormal household, which was marred with alcoholism and domestic violence. He did poorly throughout school and was regularly in trouble for bullying, fighting and verbally disrespecting his teachers. His crimes increased in severity over the years, culminating with him being sent to juvenile prison in Downtown Vladivostok for 2 years when he was 15 years old. He was sent to juvenile prison for selling heroin in the streets of his impoverished urban neighborhood. Although he was caught selling heroin, he had previously sold other narcotics such as cocaine and amphetamines. He sold drugs in the hopes of joining a neighborhood street gang but his plans never materialized. Prior to being incarcerated, some of the money that he earned from drug dealing went to obtaining fundamental needs such as food and clothing for himself and family. While behind bars as a youth, he joined a gang of violent juvenile delinquents for protection, eventually serving as an enforcer. At the age of 17, he was released from incarceration and completed secondary school after returning to his old neighborhood. Within weeks of finishing school, he left home for good. At the time of him leaving home, his parents were in the midst of a chaotic divorce. His mother had filed for divorce and was about to make her case within the legal system. He lived with extended relatives in nearby cities to avoid ending back up in the streets of his old neighborhood. During this period of transient living, he resided in the adjacent cities of Artem, Shkotovo and Bolshoy Khamen. His involvement in the workforce was short and saw him work in stores and warehouses for brief periods of time. He was later fired for either failing to appear for his shifts or because of his poor work ethic. When he was 19, he returned to Vladivostok after his aunt kicked him out of her home in the city of Bolshoy Kamen. This came after she decided to no longer tolerate his freeloading lifestyle. He inevitably ended up in the streets and began residing out of homeless shelters and missions in Downtown Vladivostok. While in possession of marijuana, he was picked up by the Vladivostok police after being found loitering outside of a homeless shelter. He was given the choice of either reporting for Russian military conscription or potentially going to prison. He chose the former. Life after being brought up in Russia In 2008, he began his 12 months in the Russian Navy as a Boatswain. He completed basic training for the Russian Navy in Vladivostok. He then shipped to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, located in the Kamchatka Peninsula, for his occupational training. He served 6 months of shore duty at the Vilyuchinsk naval base in the Avacha Bay. He then completed a 6 month sea tour in the North Pacific Ocean. Throughout his service, he experienced poor leadership and low morale at his units, both training and operational. He was subjected to unusual hazing rituals while in training and upon getting to his shore unit in Kamchatka. These hazing rituals were carried out by senior conscripts, who were still serving under the old 18-month system, and consisted of being forced to complete humiliating acts of servitude that preceded physical beatings. Furthermore, he was physically beaten while at his operational units as punishment for problems such as insubordination and failure to report. He was so problematic that he was placed on night watch during winter months during his sea tour of the North Pacific Ocean. He performed night watches in sub-zero temperatures and experienced frostbite with borderline hypothermia as a result. He was released from the Russian Navy in 2009, at the age of 20, once his conscript contract ran up. After fulfilling his mandatory military duties, he remained in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky for the employment opportunities. He was able to find employment through veterans advocacy organizations that assisted in ex-military persons with getting jobs. He spent the following 6 years working in the public works sector of the Russian economy. He lived in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, working in road construction and building maintenance while providing himself with a somewhat comfortable life. After 2 years of living in the Kamchatka Peninsula, he re-located to European Russia, settling in the Moscow metro region for other lucrative opportunities. He settled in the cities of Podolsk and Kolomna, from which he commuted into the southern areas of Moscow in order to work on a daily basis. Eventually, he became a foreman for road construction in Moscow's municipal public works. With minimal vocational training in construction, but experience in a number of tasks and supervisory roles, he took his experience with him elsewhere. He completed contractual construction work in other European Russian cities such as Tver, Kaluga, Tula and Ryazan. During these contracted periods of employment, his costs of food and living were subsidized by the federal government, and he inhabited specialized housing for workers within the cities. While working in Russia's public works, he earned enough money to travel abroad to South Korea. There, he visited extended family who lived in Seoul, Busan and on Jeju Island. He additionally visited a cousin who resided in Kiev, Ukraine for a week during the winter of 2013. Because he had a well paid, legal way of earning money, he remained largely uninvolved in crime throughout the decade. Although he occasionally consumed hard liquor, painkillers and cocaine on construction sites while working, he was never caught by the authorities and went unpunished. Early on in the decade, he began the legal immigration process to the United States, after being sponsored by a paternal uncle and cousin. He never began learning English until he was 5 months away from moving to the United States. Life in the United States Anton legally immigrated to the United States in 2016 and has lived in Los Santos, San Andreas ever since. He has had a number of jobs since arriving in the city. These jobs include working as an electronics repairman, liquor store clerk, a courier and food truck vendor. He has often refused help from his cousin and paternal uncle in the city. However, he has sporadically worked at their Little Seoul-based electronics store for off-the-books money when he is on good terms with them. He is still experiencing stages of culture shock and has found adjusting to American society and culture to be extremely difficult. Between sporadic periods of employment, he has lived in the urban and suburban streets of Los Santos. Instead of working jobs, he provided for himself through involvement in petty crime. He has struggled with recreational use of narcotics such as cocaine and sporadic heavy alcohol consumption. Additionally, he frequently uses the services of prostitutes and escorts, usually finding them in the streets or from inside massage parlors.

  9. Too much supply, not enough demand. The simple answer is for IFM to supply people with less, but again I should reiterate that the only thing any of us should be hoping for to save the drug 'economy' is the long-awaited drug update, NPCs are a solution that will yield a hundred more problems that will result in either LEOs MGing the location of drug buyer NPCs or alternatively when that camel has its back broken, it will give criminals more or less free rein to sell drugs with OOC protection, LEOs being in fear of busting people and being accused of metagame/powergame. The solution proposed is a Band-Aid, not a cure. As much as it would suck for drug suppliers, they should be cut off for the time being so that the drugs that are currently in the economy can be properly sold off, again this would do the opposite of benefitting myself/faction, but is clearly the only realistic band-aid solution to this problem. Cut off supply, let the drugs that are currently in circulation be consumed, and once that has been done, suppliers can get back to it, if there were some statistics that could reflect upon the consumption of drugs to the ratio of drugs pumped into the economy, that would probably be how IFM could monitor and supply drugs in the future (solution pre-drug overhaul). Again, what we should be encouraging from development and management is the completion of the drug overhaul, we should see how that plays out and work to improve that system when it's in its infancy so that IFM can properly regulate the drug economy. I don't know what is taking so long for it to be completed, but instead of fighting for arbitrary, short-term solutions, we should be advocating for good change that will provide everybody; drug users and drug dealers alike with more rewarding roleplay and benefits from their roles.

  10. Hi guys, Evidently this is something a lot of people feel really strongly about for completely understandable issues, and I think we've got a good array of views represented for me to forward this to the rest of the staff team for an internal debate before it can be pushed to the next rendition of the rules once a consensus is achieved, so thank you all for sharing your thoughts. I've unfortunately come to the conclusion of having to lock this thread - while people should feel free to discuss topics such as this and we as a staff team wholly welcome it, the abhorrent personal attacks thrown around are not acceptable. When working with sensitive topics it's common courtesy to be sensitive to others' experiences, belittling them, doubting them, or insulting them does not make you look right, it makes you look like a horrible person. Thread locked.

  11. I want to reiterate that recruitment for this faction isn't something taken lightly. It's understandable that people may find gaining access to this faction difficult, however It's expected that you bring forth a character worth recruiting through IC means. This is not a faction that will be providing spoon-fed roleplay, albeit tasks may be assigned in character at some point. You are roleplaying a peckerwood / featherwood with criminal affiliations but outside of that your life is your own. You make your own money and handle your own business. Your clout is what determines your social status, and that is determined generally through what you can bring to the table. There are no OOC nor IC leaders of this gang. Anyone can be killed at any time situation depending and while I understand some will find the concept confusing, understand that this is an active portrayal of how woods typically operate. This is a network of like minded criminals with the sole purpose of making money. The ties with The Aryan Brotherhood are an in character development that naturally occurred within the prison system and thus some members will be operating for the greater cause of The Brand.

  12. Disagree because it’s unnecessary and redundant. Stop being sensitive. It’s words on a screen. Players require OOC consent to perform any type of sexual roleplay whether it’s consensual IC or not, so if you’re uncomfortable with it, then don’t consent to it. That’s more than enough to adequately moderate the rule. Your friend should have thicker skin over a video game. I also don’t see how IC consequences are avoided because 9/10 times rapist roleplayers are CKed, not to mention metagamed by many and crucified by the community on an OOC note. Furthermore, admins get down hard on people who compromise the consent rule. If it upsets you, don’t do it or involve yourself in that roleplay, which you are fully within your abilities to do already anyhow. I don’t want to have a million rules moderating a million things and making roleplay more restrictive during times where players can moderate roleplay on their own, and this is a perfect example of it. No one is saying it isn’t fucked, we’re saying we don’t need to be policed to this degree. If someone is not adult enough to say no to roleplay that they are within their OOC right to refuse then Habbo Hotel with its excessive chat censorship and hyper-moderation might be a better roleplay environment for them.

  13. The main thread has been updated for the sake of an updated structure photo. Our reserved post has now been completely updated with an addition to the faction story after in-character developments and events have taken place. I urge anyone checking out our thread to read over that as it plays a major role in our story. If you have queries, concerns or points of criticism, feel free to contact me at ren#1942 on Discord, similarly if you'd like to join.

  17. Short description: Add the ability to set a “note” in a position that people can walk up to to view. Detailed description: My idea for this would be for this system to combine the concepts of the notes system and the information marker system. Basically the note would be set in a position where an info marker would be placed on the ground. When a player walks over this position they could tap a key to bring up that photo exactly how it comes up when you use the notes system. (F4 would then be used to close the photo) Commands to add: /createphotomarker (inv slot of created note) (duration) ? Items to add: None How would your suggestion improve the server? This would open up the possibility for an art museum of sorts (assuming you could place more than one At a time). Having this may spring up more careers as artists as well. This would also be handy for creating visual fliers, menus, graffiti, and other visual signs. Additional Information: A similar system could be implemented for just graffiti in itself. A city maintenance job could allow an employee to go around removing such graffiti.

  18. Preface As of currently, drug sales on GTA World are structured like that of a Ponzi scheme. Starting from the hierarchy of a supplier, the drugs are exchanged between other parties for what seems like an eternity; as if in limbo. The underlying issue for this endless sale of drugs between parties is that the market is not there. This is coming from someone who has moved kilos of weight on the server. As it currently stands, I feel like the drug market feels a bit worthless and inauthentic. What I am proposing is that we add a support system that will help establish and simulate this market. Issues with the Market To dissect the issue at hand, I’ll go in depth a bit more with a theoretical example: A supplier will sell party A drugs of a certain amount. Those drugs will then be sold to party B who will then sell to party C and so forth. For drugs like cocaine and marijuana, which provide a very practical benefit, this problem might not necessarily be as prevalent. This is because there are people interested in using it for said benefits like increased health and don’t mind roleplaying its drawbacks. However, for much more strong and stigmatized drugs like heroin and meth, they find little to no use. This is not in par with what it’s like real life. Just look at the percentage spread of drug trafficking cases in 2016(https://drugabuse.com/statistics-data/drug-trafficking/) A large majority of GTA World roleplayers portray characters whose socioeconomic are not at the level of poverty where you’d find such drug users. This creates a wide gap between supply and demand which of course leads to bottleneck symptoms that we are seeing right now. This is an issue that is no stranger to roleplay servers like GTA World so what I’m asking is we all try out something new. Possible Solution What am I proposing? Allow official factions, specifically street gangs or non-supplier factions to establish a drug sale hotspot that simulates drug sales to ‘NPCs’. Before you all try to burn me at the stake for uttering the sinful thought concept of ‘NPCs’? Hear me out.. This could essentially be thought of as a drug den, crack house, drug corners, etc. Faction members would be required to actively roleplay around the area. Every hour or day, a certain amount of drugs would be ‘sold’ from the stash and converted into cash. Another way to go about it is requiring the corner boys to have the drugs on them and then report to a sale hotspot where the drugs will be taken from their inventory. This time restriction would help regulate how much cash is being generated and essentially prevent these ‘hotspots’ from turning into money printers. The amount of money that you get from each product would also depend on the overall market for each type of drug. To balance against this new flow of cash into the economy, there could be harsher fines and punishments for those caught with drugs and drug sales. There would also be the overall ‘market’, which regulates prices for each drug type, making it so that somebody cannot just sell kilos of product without taking a hit in how much return they are getting. For instance, if someone were to try to sell a kilo of heroin, they would get five hundred each for the first hundred grams but then find that the new price was four hundred as the demand was reached for that time. This leaves room for all sorts of balance and tweaks and overall experimentation. Something I am certain of also is that this sort of drug territory system would generate an insurmountable amount of content. Factions would essentially fight for each other’s turfs. Rather than simply just beefing each other for the sake of it, there would be actual monetary reasons to go to into mutual conflict. Conclusion I understand that we’re all playing a game and that everything cannot be necessarily 1:1. I also get that this fake ‘NPC’ solution comes across as RPG esque. However, I think those sorts of mentalities are short sighted and do not aim to tackle the issue. I obviously do not think this is a perfect solution either, but I think it’s a start and something we all should think about. edit: Some graphics I made after discussing further with @ElDiablo edit: The NPCs I am referring to are not PEDs. They are fake 'NPCs'. Look at

  20. Short description: - Let commands like /s and /l persist until switched. - Turn emote text in quotes (" ") white. - Turn text in asterisks (* *) italic. (OR BOLD) Detailed description: - When using /low or /shout (or /l or /s) without a message attached, it would set the character's speaking volume to that 'channel'. Doing "/l Hello." as before would work as is and only put that individual message in [low]. The /l and /s commands would also take over emotes: /s for everything spoken in [shout] and emotes in /melong, /mylong et cetera. - When using /me, /my or /do, people sometimes sprinkle in speech to save time and accompany their words with gesturing for a more natural roleplay encounter. With this change, the emote commands would work as they used to, but any text placed in quotes "like so" would make that text white instead of purple. - Let people put emphasis on their words in game without having to seem like they're YELLING or making the chat fugly and messy with an indecisive mix of -this-, *this*, "this", 'this' and /this/. This would fit both emotes and speech. Commands to add: Just add functions to existing commands. - Maybe /normal or something similar to switch back to regular speaking voice, and a command to check which 'channel' you're on instead of having the chat clutter with notifications from changes. If just using the old /low and /shout commands to set a 'channel' is too confusing, maybe add a set of commands specifically for that instead. Items to add: N/A How would your suggestion improve the server? - Convenience. - Body language is central to human interaction. Currently, there is a mix of people using quoted speech in emotes and people using asterisks, dashes or brackets to signal their character's mood or gestures. There is no format and people take turns using *giggles* and (She would scoff.), or /me shakes their head. "No chance," they grumble through a stern scowl. Since GTA:W is advertised as a heavy roleplay server and creative writing often uses quotes to easily mix in speech and actions, this change would fit as the best solution. Using speech and action in the same paragraph makes the text flow easier and makes interactions feel more natural. Having the text turn white when in quotes makes it easier to spot as something someone actually said, encourages variety in emotes and keeps the aesthetic together. - Consistency for a common phenomenon. Aesthetics. Additional information: These are all functions I've seen in use on other roleplay platforms, and the communities have been happy with them. The 'channel' thing has also been used for things like local OOC and faction chats, but that might be too much.

  21. I disagree with this. Hell, I even hate it when people are using speech in their emotes, because it makes it much more cluttered to read. It simply doesn't stand out next to emotes when people do it. Unfortunately, from how I see it, it seems like the same system you are proposing does literally the same thing and that's simply not something I can support. That's a "no" from me.

  23. There's not gonna be many people in this community who have had to experience: Murdering someone, blowing someone's brains out, cutting someone's head off, burying bodies, running over people, shooting at a cop, or committing a grand robbery, BUT there may, there just MAY be people who have had to experience the subject matter today who really, really can't stand remembering such a thing. The fact that it's allowed on the server means there's a chance for someone to have possible trauma triggered and it could be from more than engaging in the RP itself which does require consent, but it could also be from hearing about it happening to another character, or the events leading up to it, or stumbling across it, etc. Saying you'll never have to witness it if you don't like it is pretty callous. Tl;dr: Insert funny Coomer meme here with ur name on it.

  24. For starters they can change the benefits of taking certain drugs. I.e I don't get how shit like LSD makes you carry more weight, in what world would that benefit anyone..... How about making all of the drugs on the server give a health boost just like how weed and coke does. It'd even it out, make /all/ of the drugs on the server desirable which in turn would /LESSEN/ the issues we're having now. Right now what anyone wants is coke and weed. No other drugs unless they're for RP purposes. That's an idea for starters, anyone is open to disagree with me

  25. You're absolutely right that while two parties might consent, it doesen't remove the event and aftermath from the narrative of everyone else's roleplay. Unless the rape RP was completely voided or said to take place in a continuity seperate to everyone elses, in which case, it might as well not be on the GTA:W platform at all. Agreed. Get rid of it.

  27. I’d prefer it go through the courts instead of some street cop deciding such an impactful decision on my character just like that. This system would also not stop me from participating in a race or reckless driving at all.

  28. Walk styles should not even be behind a paywall in my opinion, if anything make it a one time purchase not monthly.. Edit: Also, it adds uniqueness to characters and walk styles can help visually display certain characteristics about them. If you look at the list of perks thats comes along with donating, ALL of them except "Different Walkstyles" are OOC perks while walk styles directly affect your characters appearance in game. I just think it would open up for a lot better RP scenes if it was available to everyone.
