  1. Short description: Alter the way in which payment is calculated to a business owner. Detailed description: Include payment for patrons beyond the initial twenty, at a reduced rate. The first twenty entries offer $1,000 each, however each subsequent entry could offer $200 each, as a way to reward continued openings. Commands to add: N/A. Items to add: N/A. How would your suggestion improve the server?: With the current system, an opened business will reach the ‘daily 20’ (currently not even offering 20k a day, due to uptime) rather quickly during a busy period, leaving any extra time they’re open to offer very little profit. With roleplay being the main focus of a business opening, meaningful and prolonged interactions between business owners, staff and patrons should be encouraged. Additional information: I own Outlaws and I have two sets of ‘staff’. They open at least once per day, but it’s realistically twice per day - there’s no tangible benefit for a business owner to do this, aside from roleplay.

  4. Short description: Being able to purchase a pet with WP with an option to be permanent. Detailed description: Maximum purchaseable option is 12 months for a pet, It would be nice to implement a permanent option, and obviously you can use it on only one character you've chosen the dog to be at. Commands to add: None. Items to add: None. How would your suggestion improve the server? It's a purely comestic feature. Additional information: None.

  8. Family Affiliated Irish Mafia The Family Affiliated Irish Mafia (FAIM) is a predominantly Irish-American, but not exclusively, peckerwood gang based in San Andreas, which was formerly used by the Aryan Brotherhood to organize street-level transactions throughout low income white neighborhoods within city boundaries of Los Santos. Although founded in Hawick-Alta, activity related to the gang has been found in Blaine County, Vespucci and Murrieta Heights. During the early days, authories say that members made a small fortune during the 1990s selling methamphetamine and investing in local businesses alongside handling problems outside of federal prison walls for members of the Aryan Brotherhood, which often included murder, drug smuggling, extortion, kidnapping. It started out as a gang banging clique to protect white gang members from black gang members with the goal to sell drugs and make money. Later on membership spread to county jails and state prisons. The gang has the permission of the Aryan Brotherhood (AB) to sport shamrock tattoos. At times FAIM have worked closely with the AB to handle work for them on the street. The founders were John Sanders, Kevin Byrne, Tony Hogan, and Eric Foley. Sanders became the most influential member out of the founders and the de facto leader. Byrne would also have influence and be the leader when Sanders was incarcerated. Members sold drugs in the Hawick-Alta area to make their money. Sander's father was a meth cook who worked with motorcycle clubs. FAIM would use violence in order to get payments and run away rival drug dealers. The gang's main source of bread from 2002 to 2005 was a methamphetamine ring which they operated in the Hawick and Alta areas. The drugs came from Juan Suarez and Eladio Suarez, two Mexican brothers who were connected to the Sinaloa Cartel as well as to Hispanic gangs in Alta. In 2004, Sanders shot and killed Christopher Munson, an Aryan Brotherhood drug dealer. Sanders and Munson were cellmates in prison in 1999. In 2005 the DEA busted the drug ring operation and arrested Sanders, as well as the Suarez brothers. Eladio Suarez became an informant in the case against Simpson and testified against him. Drugs, paraphernalia, cash and a firearm seized during a Family Affiliated Irish Mafia bust (seen above) In 2006 and early 2007, most of the FAIM leadership responsibilities fell to Byrne because Sanders was in federal custody. Sanders and Byrne began to have problems during that period which resulted in Sanders putting out a hit on Byrne in 2007. Michael Iadanza, a member of FAIM, carried out the order by attempting to shoot Byrne outside a bar in Sandy Shores. The hit was botched and it resulted in the accidental death of a bar patron. Byrne was not injured. When Sheriff Deputies showed up, Byrne was arrested on an unrelated warrant. Byrne refused to testify against the gang and Iadanza, instead trying to maintain his status as an active gang member and follow the gang code. During that time he was in jail. in 2009, Byrne agreed to testify, after FAIM members attacked him and tried to kill him while he was in jail. Sanders was convicted of conspiracy and murder charges. He was sentenced to life in prison. Final words heard from Sanders upon his conviction: "You win some, you lose some". In early 2021 the leadership of FAIM was once again shaken, as Weston "Wes" Stigers faced an indictment with suspected AB member Joseph Campbell and Roland O'Kelly. The three inmates allegedly coordinated the murder of a man in Twin Towers Correctional Facility, utilizing the visitation system to carry a message from Stigers to O'Kelly. It is alleged that O'Kelly and Campbell then stabbed the man to death in the chow hall, that Stigers is a member of the Aryan Brotherhood, and ordered the murder for the benefit of said Brotherhood. Around this same period, SADCR reported an increase in the amount of FAIM affiliated inmates in the State Corrections System. The case remains in trial.

  10. As most of you have probably experienced there is an unusual bug where if you tab back in sometimes there will be a double of your cursor and you're forced to get rid of it by either restarting or using the alt f4 method. A simple fix: Head into settings, graphics and then disabled "Pause game on focus loss".

  15. Thanks for posting this - I need to take you up on your offer of having a conversation about it. It seems to be the major problem in the economy at the moment is that there are essentially two groups - the characters that got rich a long time ago and are name changed to keep the top right corner high, and the people that have joined, and despite everything, will never make money. Put it this way - a nightclub, which is undoubtedly the biggest income earner, costs 1.5m, unless you're grinding jobs for hours on end, you'll never earn enough to pay that. Whereas if you joined the server when the economy was less balanced, you can namechange, make up a story about rich parents and buy that nightclub. I agree with Henning, the profitable businesses are kept in a close circle of people, and many of the new, innovative businesses which add real value to both the community, the server and it's roleplay standards, are failing. Taxes, inflation, etc all of that shouldn't be considered until the fundamental principle of what the economy stands on is fixed.

  16. Thanks for making this post, it's interesting to read some of the replies & I've added the video about MMO Economies to my watch list! This is incredibly timely as I've actually been having conversations with players about the recently. @liafriuli if you have want to have around the economy please feel free to forum pm me directly and we can have a chat. For players who don't understand the system we've built I strongly suggest you read the relevant feature showcases on the economy, we've put a lot of consideration into the economy, and considering we're nearly three years in, I don't think the inflation is that bad. We certainly want to make tweaks, changes and improvements, like we do with everything but we're not looking at an overall of the system. One of the most difficult balances we have to make is not implementing changes that will disadvantage one group too heavily, for example while there might be certain people who get paid on a paycheck and accumulate assets, others might be struggling to sustain a creative & well roleplayed project that isn't aimed at making loads of money, we want those players to be able to roleplay without going into too much debt. Which is why some of the specific & Ad Valorem taxes proposed here might not work.

  18. I'd love to see trains and the metro be brought to life. Hopefully this is possible with 1.1 around the corner as this would liven up the city just that little bit more and offer a viable mode of transport to those roleplaying poor or those who simply cannot use their vehicles. I'd personally prefer taking the train from Los Santos to Sandy Shores than driving and believe this would be a nice option to have.

  19. Don't think a bus can and would be cheaper in this setting either, taxi's would be used way more frequently and you'd never have more than a handful people in a bus, sure in RL they're way cheaper but they mass transport people, something which we wouldn't be able to do in a server with an average of 250-300people online. Probably a bus would be cheaper as they're slower, but I doubt people would drive around in them 90% cheaper than a taxi. ? Don't forget purchasing a taxi is only 30k, a bus is 114k - they'll most likely run around a bit cheaper than a taxi would.

  23. This sounds pretty realistic to be fair. The small time brewery will never be able to compete with the bigger companies, they can supply at a much more competitive rate which the bars and clubs would obviously prefer to buy. Smaller breweries seem to make headway by opening up their own hipster bar specialising in the locally crafted beer. Maybe this is the way to go?

  24. Running a legal business is impossible unless you get script/government cash. Every other non-legal venture that isn't some variation of a nightclub or bar makes very little profit, if any, this eventually takes us to the situation we're in now where there is very little long term innovation because, of how the economy fundamentally works and the closed nature of it, no other business, other than your standard nightclub/bar/casino can succeed. For example, when I ran Saints News, the maximum I could pay staff to break even (no profit) was $2500 an article, they could earn double that in an hour working in a 24/7, or triple in a nightclub for an hour. We want to fix the economy? Take a look at the current service industry.
