Economy is already broken. Admireme is just going to further break it to the point you'll see people living in mansions and driving 600k cars because they're making millions a day posting lewd pictures and charging 30k for an ass shot, lol  (RPQM? as that's unrealistic asf). Legitimately, how was this approved?

All clips submitted as evidence should have audio, far too many times I have seen reports from parties where the audio is muted. This to me implies the use of voice chat, I have heard all the excuses in the world (from smaller filesizes to their recording being muted,) but everyone knows that audio has been selectively removed to cover up the use of VC.

I feel like the economy is now broken by design, you can easily obtain the money you need to portray a low to medium income household. I do agree though, the portrayal of the wealth of some people is a big problem.

The file size excuse is bullshit, there's a handy tool called Handbrake that I use to shrink files down to whatever size limit applies for a site.

I do however mostly mute clips where audio isn't needed, such as when someone gets pulled over for speeding or something, because I'm often just watching some video on another monitor or chatting with faction members about nonsense. If someone claims I'm metagaming then I'll gladly send the recording with audio to an admin, who will probably hear a highbrow chat with the bros such as: "Are bro-jobs gay?"

If the economy is broken by design, it shouldn't be hard to get a leased car, cause it honestly does not matter HOW you earn money as long as it is roleplayed.But we seem to be dealing with two dimensions here, the one players see and one admins seem to operating in. And they don't add up.

How would it be unrealistic? If you're trying to get a 600k car using your example, what would be the difference between working a 4k script job for 150 hours, gambling and winning 600k in one night, selling 2k grams of coke at 300 per gram, or selling 20 ass shots? The whole idea of RP is what path someone takes to get to that point, and how those choices impact their lives. Or if they even survive long enough to reach 600k.

Charging 30k for a photo of your ass just does not happen. Few years ago, people were bitching at clubs charging $200 for a drink and now we're here. Driving a 600k car working 4k an hour script jobs also should not happen. It's poor portrayal. Your character should live to their means. If you work a grocery store and are driving a Cheetah Classic, then you should be getting a one-way ticket to RPQM. It's often why I've said I'd love for there to be money taken out of the economy via bills and expenses - because people can grind money without regard for the character they are actually portraying just to have the best of everything. 

 

Economy is absolutely fucked on GTA:W and has been for a long time and there's been no effort to correct it. Admireme is just going to further push the economy into a state where you have people easily making millions by spending 10 minutes on Menyoo because people are really that tragic to buy video game porn. Whoever approved AM really got it wrong and they should swiftly look at the pricing structure and place a cap on earnings per picture. Not 30k for a heckin' photo lmao.

It's bad enough people have to grind to be able to play a role they want if it requires an arbitrary amount of worthless script money that anyone can acquire over time, and no a cashier shouldn't drive supercars.

 

Script money shouldn't be a limitation, people just need to behave to their concept. The number in the top right matters little to none (unless you don't have enough for your concept).

 

Time for a (un)popular opinion: RPQM shouldn't exist, it's a basic admin task to keep an eye on the RP standard of the server. And it's too arbitrary, most admins do not have the life experience to judge on other players. Currently RPQM is an OOC tool for players to screw others because they don't like them OOC. It's a toxic mechanism that serves no purpose and reports aren't properly scrutinized. Egregious cases should be dealt with by any admin.

Agree, I don't like it when people who're 10 years+ younger than me trying to tell me what is and is not realistic, especially if said person has just sat in their bedroom their entire lives and not been even been, let alone LIVED in the country that we're trying to portray a character in!

I think audio in videos forwarded as evidence in a complaint is irrelevant. Unless the complaint is alleging VOIP, not roleplaying, or metagaming in any way shape or form the video should not be required to have audio. The reported party requesting audio on a video where they are being accused of a rule violation is just them fishing and looking for any way to invalidate any accusations of wrongdoing. If the video clearly shows what happened it should not matter. Same goes for the reporting party, if the person responding shows video of their side of the incident, it should not be required to provide video unless you think MG/VOIP resulted in the offense.

Idk I guess agree to disagree. Imho if people don't think you have a 30k ass they just won't buy the picture

 

But its totally spicy if the option is there. Maybe in end the real cost of that choice ends up destroying that character, or exposing them to blackmail, doxing or even robbery, stalking or murder, which are all things that happen in reality. Imho if someone's outing themself to an extreme degree they should be eligible for like serial killer CKs against their character. But...if you take away that angle for creativity then I guess we'll never know how these stories end.

 

As for the money who cares? If someone's goal is to get rich there's alot of different ways to do that, and you can easily save your ass's dignity by making 25-30k tips per shift bartending or something. The person chasing that wealth either has a story to tell, or they're someone you pass by your way to meet more interesting people.
