  1. The presence of Georgian crime networks across the United States have always been fueled by tour-companies and smuggling rings responsible for legal and illegal immigration of the Transcaucasian natives into the countries of European Union and United States of America. The trans-continental business responsible for smuggling of stolen local technological goods, bikes and vehicles have never been executed without the low-wage Georgian immigrants forced ashore by their nation's economical dismemberment by the corporatist Kartuli Otsneba party government who are dragged into the pyramid of thefts, fraud and burglaries as enforcers by the same circles responsible for smuggling them across the West with promises of stable work needed to support the immigrant families. Deception plays a fundamental part in operating these organizations, giving the promise of the American Dream or simply a financially preferable future for some draws a wide range of Tbilisi natives to travel to the United States via a framed visa produced by the crooked notary bureaus working end-to-end with these organizations. As most of the legal wall of profit for Georgian criminal groups are housings and real estate investments, the migrants are often roofed by and work under the same business estates owned by the Georgian ringleaders. The multi-million activity of Georgian crime posses internationally surrounds car theft, illegal jewelry trade, burglary looting, credit card fraud and human trafficking and locally varies to trafficking and distribution of class A narcotics and illegal arms. FBI and European authorities state that most of the criminals spearheading the transcontinental criminal trade trace back to Tbilisi's crime groupings of different "brotherhoods" of Vake-Vera neighbourhood strip. While the European criminal clan's activities overshadow the most, the same authorities warn that these Georgian groups have footing in the state of San Andreas, being significant minority in the Eastern European underworld of Los Santos.

  2. It's a simple case of marketing myopia really, you believe you can do no wrong, we can make excuses to claim we are the best, etc. Think about this; PD has access to Teamspeak in which they can call for backup and say shots fired VIA MIC. They have an unlimited amount of ammunition, can respawn with an unlimited amount of firearms, have access to top speed vehicles, have absolutely nothing to worry about at the end of the day from a gameplay perspective. Criminal role-players are often vindicated for ramming people without roleplay; they are jailed, sometimes banned for VDM, it's really a double standard for what is being propagated here. You ask why this comes down to winning and losing; why? Because in situations like these, PD has the absolute and full capacity to wipe the floor clean with the criminal role-player 9 times out of 10. Teamspeak, unlimited weapons, instant backup and location tracking; it's about common courtesy and respecting the player on the other end of what you are doing. It tends to be very difficult for illegal role-players to get their hands on firearms, and given that Los Santos is basically a police state; the odds are they will get arrested for it at a regular t-stop. I say this as a player who plays in SD, and a member of the illegal RP scene; I would never-ever ram a player with my cruiser, I think it's poor taste and puts forward that play to win mentality that PD is so well known for; the mentality we have been trying to curb for so long- but members of PD believe they can do no wrong. I encourage you to stop resisting change, understand that the player on the other end of your actions is playing a much more difficult game than you are, ultimately to be fair and respect the player who you are roleplaying with. This sets an incredibly dangerous precedent for administration and again; if this was a criminal roleplayer doing the same thing? It would be an instant jail, they would not be given the opportunity to go to IA and the courts. When you are in a position of so much power you need to understand that it comes with responsibility; that responsibility is for one- to treat other players with respect and fairness, next time a gang banger who hates cops runs over a cop at a T-stop- would you prefer if that had been kept IC? Because I guarantee you they would be jailed for it. Don't take this punishment as some sort of debilitating wound to the department and in-tandem your egos; take it as a wake-up call, it's time to wake up and understand that you need to play this game differently.

  3. It seems that this has suddenly become a "admin discretion" thing which has just pushed ambiguity that amounts to the ever-growing frustration when it comes to consistency in the community. Recently there's been a trend of LSPD/LSSD getting punished for VDM but with no indication that this is no longer acceptable. Ramming a suspect firing a weapon is a legitimate tool that officers can utilize to neutralize a suspect - and LSPD has used it multiple times, as far as I'm aware, with zero consequences. Here's an officer that got a MEDAL for doing exactly what these officers have done lately that are now being subjected to humiliating ajails (which as a punishment seems dated for certain scenarios that could sometimes be cleared up by having a discussion with the person in question and a 'hey you can't do that' rather than subjecting them to some public humiliation for an incident that they've never been punished for previously - sitting in an ajail for 30 minutes when they have a typically clean record/played on GTA:W for an extended amount of time doesn't achieve/help any situation. It just seems like the easiest, quickest and laziest action to take instead of just having a five minute conversation to clear up what the person did wrong and how to avoid it in future.) and faction removals: Officer NAME used his patrol vehicle to neutralize one of the gunmen before taking cover behind his patrol vehicle and opening fire on a second subject. Officer NAME, using his skills taught in training, kept cool in this hightly stressful situation and was personally vital in ensuring that none of his colleagues or bystanders were in any further danger of getting hurt. Some actual clarification of PD/SD (even civilians in situations where its gun vs vehicle) being able to ram a person that's in an active shooting would be really nice rather than just suddenly changing things and punishing people for something that has always been considered (and awarded) a thing. I don't think it's fair that these people have been punished when there's been no attempt at actually saying, "Hey, you can't do that anymore, we changed our stance on it." or if it IS an "admin discretion" incident, then surely there needs to be consistency in that ruling rather than allowing multiple opinions on the subject. If I was being shot at in my vehicle, I'm not going to sit there and type /me rams guy, I'm going to floor it in hopes of neutralizing the target, much like what would actually happen IRL - whether I'm a legal/illegal character. Makes no sense. This definitely needs to be addressed as soon as possible, IMO. And just to add on, if this happens and it was an incorrect decision? Stop punishing PD/SD for doing it - let it play out ICly with IA investigations, court cases and stuff. You're ruining more RP by interjecting on silly things like this. Admin discretion needs to go IMO. There needs to be a clear handbook for what punishment fits what crime.

  4. Humpty Dumpty out here with the bumps, really hoping we get 1.1 soon. Had a ton of momentum at the start of the year and we felt close to actually taking a step-up regarding the client but once again like the years prior we're falling in to this "rut" of promise where we're left stuck on a version of RageMP from just over 2 (maybe 3 at this point) years ago and trailed along with the promise of 1.1 coming soon. The only "high priority" bug regarding 1.1 is nothing to do with 1.1 but instead the gamemode which can be easily reproduced in 0.3.7. The majority of "medium priority" bugs are either fixed, aren't exclusive to 1.1 or are so insignificant you'll never notice them. The "rage bugs" yet again either being fixed, insignificant or extremely specific to reproduce. I apologize if I'm coming across as a cunt but we're SO CLOSE to 1.1 and the only thing holding us back from the plethora of sync improvements, bug fixes and clothing/tattoo/hair/etc mods are bugs we're ACTIVELY experiencing and have been dealing with for years at this point - the cons (and bugs) of implementing 1.1 are extremely outweighed by the pros and I know for a fact me and a TON of the community don't want to wait yet another year to have this same scenario play out in 2022. I appreciate the hard work that's being put in here but I'm worried we're gonna stay caught in this RageMP feature creep - waiting for the next big RageMP update because the current version isn't perfect but forgetting it's a massive improvement over the current version we're currently using - we're never gonna have a flawless client and I think we all understand and respect that, the vast majority would be fine with 1.1 in it's current state.

  5. “I don’t even know how to go on with my life right now,” said Joanna Pruitt, the mother of the victim that died, identified as her son Jacob Pruitt. She said he was a 17 year-old Senior at Bay City High School. Pruitt said her son had other teens over for a “Friendsgiving" party. She had just given them dinner, when everything suddenly changed “I came outside to smoke a cigarette, I didn’t even have time to sit down and one of the boys came running outside telling me that they had introduced opioids into the party and they’re blue and I was like what,“ said Pruitt. From there she said she started CPR as her son had no pulse and called for help “When I watched them bringing my kid out when they were still pumping chest, I dropped to my knees," said Pruitt. "I mean what else could I do? I dropped to my knees. I already knew. Deep in my heart I already knew” Los Santos police say they are still investigating to determine what substance the girls overdosed on. According to police, while all three were airlifted to Pillbox Hills Medical Center, Jacob was the only one did not make it. Pruitt believes the drugs were brought in the house by one of her son's friends. “I did CPR on my son and she coded last night and (they) called me at 7:15 to let me know he went into full cardiac arrest this morning,” said Pruitt After expecting to have this happen to her son, she shared her plea to other parents. “When your kids are alone in their room, when they have multiple friends over, ask them to leave the door open because that is the least you could do, or, you know, you need to be more aware of what your children are doing,” said Pruitt. Now, she is forced to live a life without her son. “I am not blaming myself," she said. "I am not even blaming that little boy. He has got to live with this for the rest of her life just like I do. I forgive him, I’ve made peace with it. I just hope he can." The Los Santos Police Department says this is still an active investigation and they are working directly with the State Attorney’s Office and the Department of Children and Families to find more answers. The status of the two other overdose victims has not yet been released.

  9. Short description: Allow people to choose from RGB color panel while buying a new car. Detailed description: Hey, I was contacted by a person who has an issue with his "vision" IRL. He explained me the problem that basically people that are "color blind" can barely choose their "wanted" color while buying a new car. They have a color panel at the right where they see colors and ids (like: 1; 2; 5; 10; 24; 38; and etcetera). Those numbers have 0 meaning for them. When they are visiting any auto dealership they see this thing in front of their eyes and it makes zero sense (I've talked with a person and he helped me out to imagine how he sees all the color, on the left side you see the color with a proper vision, on the right side you see "how color blind people see "): They would like to see an option where they can choose from "RGB" panel codes. The ones that we have managed to implement at the mechanic stores already. Then they can go 'n write the one color code that they want, e.g.: Red #FF0000; Blue #0000FF; Yellow #FFFF00 and etcetera. Commands to add: Nothing. The system is already there. We just need to move it to the auto dealerships. Items to add: Nothing. How would your suggestion improve the server? It's a game and we shouldn't limit people. If they want to buy a green Sultan or a blue Rebla, they should be able to. Additional information:

  10. Sex Trafficking - When an adult engages in a commercial sex act, such as prostitution, as the result of force, threats of force, fraud, coercion or any combination of such means, that person is a victim of trafficking. Carmen "Coco" Ortega is a Jamestown local resident who, under extreme circumstances, is forced into prostitution and subject to almost daily humiliation. Carmen "Coco" Ortega, a former street hooker, has recently been freed from her former life by her newfound lover, William Iovino, a member of the mob and a man more than twice her age. Her hustle, however, never stops. This thread will follow her development. Viewer discretion is advised. DISCLAIMER While no overly explicit screenshots (nudity, detailed sexual RP) will be posted, certain scenes may include innuendos or suggestive lines. Therefore, it's best for individuals under 18 to stay away from this thread. The identities of anyone who does any kind of explicit RP with Carmen will be strictly kept confidential OOC. If certain explicit scenes are crucial to Carmen's development, I will ask for your permission to reveal your identity in the screens. If not, I may simply use "XX" as your identity. There is no pressure for you to ERP either. A fade-to-black is sufficient to further your character's development (and mine) and can be requested. Thank you and I look forward to roleplaying with you!

  11. Feature Showcase: Friends List General Information Are you also using /id every 10 minutes to check if some of your friends are online to interact with? With the Friends List, you can now add your friends characters onto your Friends List and check if those characters are online with the /friends command. It doesn't matter on which character you are, as your Friends List is bound to your UCP. You can choose to enable or disable online alerts for a specific friend, having this enabled will give you a chat notification whenever they log in. When adding a new friend it is disabled by default. Commands /addfriend - Adds someone to your friends list, your friend must be IG to use this command. /acceptfriend - Accepts someone's request to become your friend. /removefriend - Removes someone from your friends list, your ex-friend must be IG to use this command. /friends - Shows your online friends with their ID. /alertfriend - Toggles online alerts by a specific friend. /namefriend - Allows you to set a nickname for a friend.

  12. Build it Yourself So you want an interior, I will be providing all the details and examples how to map your own place step by step. In addition, I will give you examples how to make custom objects and tricks that mappers use. In order to map your own place, you will need a few things. Requirements: Furniture Slots - every player starts with 50 slots (/vstats or check on UCP), you are able to get more slots by Donating Here. the more slots you have the more details your interior could have. Furniture Funding - the objects you spawn cost money if you gonna map it yourself make sure you have the budget for it. How do I start? Once you have enough furniture slots and the funds to start working, you will need to go through a few stages as you map the interior. make sure you check this Guide by Jesscat if you are not familiar with the commands yet. Layout This is the most important part of the interior, each interior must fit it's exterior the best way it can. there are different ways to figure the width and length of your exterior so you could fit it perfectly into the interior but I would suggest to use the most used method which is counting steps. How do I get access to someone else interior? Have the owner do /givepropertykey and then do /acceptkey. After you have done that make sure the owner enabled the construction rights in /pmanager > Permissions > Construction rights. How do I check my house size? Go out to your house exterior and stand at the corner of it then start to walk the length and count the steps, do the same with the width and then do the same inside the interior and you will know the exact size of your house. you can also go on the house roof and place down floor001 to know how many floors will be fitting according to the exterior. How do I know my apartment size? In apartment complexes you probably could not count the width and length properly. what you can do is divide the building size by the apartments on one floor. If the apartment complex building is 30 steps width and 36 steps length and each floor has 4 apartments, you divide 30 and 36 by 4 and you will know the size your apartment should be (more or less). Finding walls faster: When you looking for walls you don't have to scroll up each time, what you can do is /sf wall001 and it will show you all the options for the walls of the same color, you then can keep going up to see different options wall002, wall003 etc... How do you place walls/floors accurately to the interior size? There are a few ways to make accurate floors, floors/walls that are blank are more easy to place down but those with shapes and lines on them will require them to be placed very accurately so the lines will fit. if you don't want the floors/walls to flicker when they are inside each other what you need to do is lower the speed of moving the object to 21 and lower the wall/floor once then increase the speed of movement to 22 and raise it once and the floor/wall won't flicker while looking as one with the other wall/floor. (Don't forget to /fixinvi after you done so). Layout addons (Optional) The reason I say it is optional because it is mainly depends on your budget, a layout is a floor, roof and walls all around the interior that create the rooms. if you wish to buff your interior to look colorful, detailed and such you have a few options on how to do so. Second wall at 30 percent of the main wall or at any shape that fits properly. >> Example << Trims located at the edges of the walls and doors. >> Example << Extra walls to make the roof more detailed. >> Example << Special windows according to the exterior. >> Example << Furniture Once the layout is ready the big part is to place down furniture, there is a very big list of options and ways you could find your objects. I recommend you have all of those guides open while mapping, it is easier to find objects while using those guides. Furniture Catalog - Guide by Effion. Imported items - list by Cara Wall art Catalog - Guide by Rasbruu Walls List Catalog - List by Kyra Each house/apartment should have the basics stuff: - Kitchen & Dining area. - Living room. - Bedroom. - Bathroom. After that if you have space left you could add more rooms according to the space you have. The style you pick should fit the exterior environment, here are a few styles that you could go with: Mid-Century Modern Industrial Nautical Scandinavian Bohemian Farmhouse Urban Modern Shabby Chic Keep in mind that mixing a few styles together is possible but should be done carefully as it can easly make the interior look weird or bad when certain objects don't go along with others. Furniture Details (Optional) Furniture details are basically smaller objects that you place on bigger furniture to make them look more realistic. it is optional for budget and slots reasons as this part could take a lot from you and not everyone has the slots or funding for it. Make sure you keep an eye on the slots when you are mapping this part. What objects could you place down to make the place more detailed? (do /sf and the names listed to get a full list of the options ingame). Kitchen - Jar, plate, mug, cup, fruit, can, knife, stove, fridge, kitchen. >> Example << Living Room - dvd, vcr, remote control, book, tv, sofa, couch. Bedroom - radio, alarm, magazine, closet, shirt, shoe, suitcase. Bathroom - toilet, paper, perfume, shampoo, cream, gel, sink, tooth. Office - office, computer, mouse, keyboard, paper, folder, filing, tower, filing. >> Example << Extra Furniture This is part will be placing more details around the house, it can be considered less important furniture that could be placed last before you finish your interior and will help you fill the empty spaces around the interior. What can I put as extra furniture? Plants. Wall art. Door frames. Wall art frames. Curtains. Window bars. Rugs. Lights This is a very nice to make, the lights change the interior during the nighttime and make the interior absolutely stunning. do keep in mind that lights also cause lag and you should place them carefully. What type of lights can I put? You got a few type of light colors can be used for your interior: White light - Used as basic light for interiors. Example. Yellow light - Used as basic light for interiors and gives the objects a nice color addition. Example. Blue light - Can be used for interiors such as clubs, bars for affects, the blue light can also be placed under water to make the water more shiny. Example. Red light - Can be used for interiors such as clubs, bars for affects. Example. Green light - Can be used for interiors such as clubs, bars for affects but carefully cause players can buy drinks if they stand above the machine. Example Lights objects: White light - Industrial Ceiling Lights, Spotlight on long cable. Yellow light - Hanging bulbs light fitting, single bulb on long cable, beige standing lamp. Blue light - Blue safety light, red and blue safety light. Red light - Red safety light. Green light - Sprunk Vending Machine

  15. Customized objects Poker Table Spawn "Long Dark Wood Dining Table" this will be serving you as a template. For the table color you need to pick a wall art of your choosing depending on the color (Like the red in the picture) You can use "Stair Pole 3" or "Stair Railing 3" to make the edges of the table and shape it as you desire, making it more detailed. Place 5 different cards in the middle of the table with a deck of cards next to it. Place 4-5 chairs on each side of the table. Place 2 cards upside down infront of each chair you placed, each card should be placed to side a bit so it will be more clear there are 2 cards. Place different Chip Stacks above the cards of the players, make it different for each for realism purposes. Can place drinks next to each player as well.

  17. The common courtesy rule currently states that failing to role-play a car crash (unless it clearly was desync) puts all involved players in violation of it. There's the conception that during shootouts or police pursuits, gameplay develops fast so people don't have to role-play specifics for which there are in game physics for: for example, if you're pursued, you can try and car jack without role-play since it's a heat of the moment kind of thing. It's been common practice of police in recent months to run over active shooters. Subsequently, there's a pattern of cops being cracked down on for either doing this, or for not role-playing it properly. Whilst it's understandable that these are case-by-case basis that tie in with role-play quality expectations from legal factions, a blanket scenario for running over during shootouts needs to be expanded on. This begs the question for some clarification on the rule. We need some input on whether everyone is required to role-play a car crash (especially a deliberate one such as running over someone during a shootout) or if they can let it be given how the game works, and only after role-play injuries and damages.

Growing up most of her childhood in a poor household had her realise the real value of money way too early. She does her best to socialize in the streets and often finds herself commiting and looking up to the wrong role models. She had always been a perfectionist when it came to school, though changes in mentality due to inspiration coming from all the wrong places had her lately neglect it, and the fact that she's barely facing consequences lets her comfortably do so.

  20. The Upper East Side Crew This thread follows the Upper East Side Crew of the Genovese Family, out of Upper East Manhattan. From Hunter College, to 125th street, Adrian is an earning cog in a deeply-rooted system back home in New York. Behind him is Marco Gianfrante, the true leader of the crew. Together, the two handle outbound rackets to send money back to the Upper East. The Upper East Side is considered the most lavish, gaudy and old-money neighborhood in Manhattan. From spies, to Presidents, actresses, gangsters, lawyers, doctors... everybody drinks at the Mark Hotel, a local watering upscale watering hole. If you don't know the Mark, or rather, if the Mark doesn't know you, you ain't from the UES. And you definitely no fuckin' earner, neither. It was here that the crew was born. The wolves of all wolves; bookmakers, jewel guys, every niche Adrian could pocket in the fall of his family, the Genovese empire that had been ruling New York since 1926, humbly. It was time to go out West, and see what there was to see. A scouting mission that led to embedding in Los Santos for several years now. With Marco in Montreal and Vegas, Adrian has been left to handle all business and diplomacy for the crew. With a new future for his life and a legislative witch-hunt threatening to fossilize everything Adrian's worked for, he's garnered the support and connections to seek out bold and promising fortunes for the Family back in Lenox Hill, until the Boss, Vincent Esposito, is free. Until then, nobody's safe. For the Upper East Side Crew, Los Santos will be a great challenge. Violence isn't as publically reverred, and organized crime doesn't share the same glorification as it does in their neighborhoods, where Adrian and his associates are widely appreciated. In LS, fear produces more than love. The Upper East Side Crew is adept at generating, cultivating and exporting such fear. En masse. Extortionists, blackmailers, kidnappers. If it makes your heart race, it can make the crew money. The Upper East Side Crew is composed of ruthless criminal moguls and their underlings, who take their high level of ambitious aggression and channel it, using funds and corrupt resources to display a street reputation of being cut-throat and incredibly vindictive. Plane, train or automobile. If there's millions to be had, these sharks are on it in twelve different ways. The violent crew has evolved over the years it's had to understand Los Santos. Now, their targets are the people that used to target them. Politicians, police, anybody with a modicum of power to squeeze out: Adrian Lugera will send for them. With cash, or with lightning, the ensemble is going through the legal world like a hurricane. This crew is diplomatic but ready to hold any and all vendettas, using their various tendrils to reach out and crucify anybody who puts a hand on their money. The next day, the next month, one day, the crew's going to send them to the next life. However, for the most part, the crew is hell-bent on sustaining not just a legal front, but reputations akin to neighborhood heroes. In this path of notoriety, prestige and wealth, this enterprise will leave bodies in their wake as they take themselves and their partners to the top. Silence. Violence. Silence. They'll never see it coming. *OOC DISCLAIMER* POSTING A SCREENSHOT IN THIS THREAD GIVES GROUP LEADERSHIP THE RIGHT TO PURSUE RELEVANT AND PRESENT CKS AS SEEN FIT.

  22. Let me pull this up here for a moment. For all of the people in this thread comparing carrying a gun in GTA:W's Los Santos to real life American gun carry practices are missing the point. The dangers our characters face every day in Los Santos are nothing even remotely comparable to the dangers people in Los Angeles, New York City, Dallas, Chicago, Seattle, San Francisco, Baltimore, or any number of other US cities face. It makes no intellectual sense to compare the two in this circumstance any deeper than remarking "oh, there are differences between reality and fiction." Los Santos has an unrealistic, astronomically high percentage of career criminals in the population, and has a staggering rate of gun-related violence which there is no reason to ignore ICly. Now, let's talk about an ideal GTA:W for a moment. In an ideal GTA:W, every third cute 20-year-old girl wouldn't be carrying around a Glock in her bra, I'm with you guys there. As someone who has lived in many major American cities, it's really immersion breaking to me when every character on the server has a gun on them. I also know most people (even myself sometimes but god do I try my best) are not taking in account the weight and discomfort of carrying around a concealed firearm all the time. I bet you 99% of Davis RPers have never roleplayed their gun dropping out of their baggy trousers, or falling down inside their pants leg. I guarantee you all theses people jumping over fences aren't roleplaying this weapon digging into their skin or preventing their mobility. I'd be surprised if any single person has ever roleplayed an accidental discharge of a firearm happening due to inappropriate carry. Obviously you got all these females wearing these tight clothes, short-shorts, skirts, and somehow manage to pull out a Scorpion when things get fuzzy. This is something just about every person on this server is guilty of, and if you're one of the very, very few people who isn't? Good on ya. Great for you! This thread isn't about you, and your chosen path is not going to be the solution for everyone else. But the problem is, at the end of the day, that with the state of how things are on GTA:W, if you elect not to have your character have a gun on them, you waive your right to safety entirely. You are both OOCly and ICly putting your fate in the hands of the city, and that is both an OOCly and ICly unrealistic decision to make in GTA:W's Los Santos. Look, if our server was full of realistic civilian roleplay, and criminal RP was more realistic and less confrontational and consistently violent? Sure, you could get by without a gun. But the problem is that this server has a an overwhelmingly huge criminal element, and almost every conflict on this server ends in violence. Now, you might argue "well if everyone wasn't armed maybe it wouldn't end in violence all the time!" and I kind of agree with that sentiment, though not fully. Personally I'm blessed to surround myself with some of the best roleplayers on this server on a daily basis, almost all of us roleplaying civilian/"legal" characters. I think if you took the 30 people I roleplay with most often--almost all of them carry a gun ICly--and added up all our body counts, we'd have probably only PKed a collective 3 people or so (all in self-defense). Compare that to your average criminal roleplay group where you can expect a MINIMUM of 3 PKs per person on average. I still think 3 gun kills among 30 people is a high number, but GTA:W's portraying a million+ population city with only a few thousand people, and a majority of the population are violent felons so /shrug. Most of the time things devolve into gun violence on this server, it's because of bad roleplay, and I think that most of the people involved in this problem are not being critical enough of their own behavior, the standards of their own roleplay, and that of their friends. I look at the average character story thread on this server, and criminal characters usually have a PK or CK on every single page of their thread. Again, not all of them, I've seen some roleplayers really hold themselves to a standard and go 2, 3, 4 pages of their thread at a time without showing off more screenshots of their characters murdering someone--but that's the minority. I don't see civilians disarming as being the solution for this server to have better roleplay. I think civilians being armed to the teeth is a natural progression of both the OOC and IC situation on the server. All of it's fully IC--the gun laws are IC, the licensing process is IC, buying a gun is IC. Our characters all being terrified of this city and the amount of violent psychopaths in it is FULLY IC. The fact that there are masked-up dudes riding around on BF400s and stacking up 3-deep in cars rolling around attempting random gun-point robberies and kidnappings in every single neighborhood in the city both rich and poor is something our characters know about IC. Realistically, if you lived in a shithole like Los Santos in real life, you'd probably be moving out if you realistically had care for your own life. There is virtually no reason to live in this city as we portray it, but because this server is a game and it's one of the only modern RP settings in an HD video game that we have in our OOC world, we kind of have to deal with it. Your only other option is to quit the server and not play. Our city makes no sense at all, and the fact that it's a dangerous and violent place where gunpoint robberies happen every fifteen minutes and shootings happen multiple times an hour and people are being murdered by guns numbering in the dozens per day. So the minimum way we can rationalize civilian people staying is that they're doing their best to keep their own lives protected by following the IC gun laws we have and ICly getting licenses to carry guns. Now ask yourself this. We're on a fully IC server where everything that happens unless an admin voids it is IC. Those of you who believe all legal characters should just collectively drop all their guns into a pile and leave them behind (coincidentally most you roleplay career criminals who carry illegal firearms funny how that works right?), I want you to think for a moment about the roleplay of a civilian in this city who isn't carrying a gun. If some shit-tier Davis RPer roleplays running down the street at them with a baseball bat in the middle of their afternoon walk in downtown LS, what do you think will be going through that character's mind in those few moments before this man either bludgeons them to unconsciousness with a club or robs them on the sidewalk with the threat of it? Do you think that character might reasonably be thinking, in that moment, "god, I wish I just took everyone's advice and applied for a gun license right about now." With the state of melee sync on this server and the amount of brain dead criminals whose only existence revolves around sticking people up, and criminal characters played by people who OOCly have a desperate desire for fulfilling power fantasies of violent control over strangers because of the lack of control in their own real bleak lives withering away behind a keyboard unloved by anyone in society, OOCly choosing to have your character go about this server without a gun is signing away all of your rights to any person who approaches your character with any sort of weaponry--which will be anyone else. And ICly, your character is a stubborn idiot with no regard for their own lives if they don't choose to carry in Los Santos. Facts.
