  2. "Mafia is a process, not a thing. Mafia is a form of clan-cooperation to which its individual members pledge lifelong loyalty. Friendship, connections, family ties, trust, loyalty and obedience -- this was the glue that held us together." - Joseph Bonanno The Conti crime family, sometimes referred to as the Los Santos crime family can trace its roots back to the Clinton Avenue Crew. The organization became prominent in late 2017 as a San Andreas-based satellite crew for the Kansas City mob, the Civella crime family. As the Clinton Avenue crew grew in numbers and developed more autonomy, it was referred to as the Los Santos crime family. With this new title, not only did the organization become a significant player, but it also began to catch the attention of various law enforcement agencies. As the Kansas City old guard began to catch more heat from federal law enforcement entities, it was clear that someone would go down. The foreshadowing all came true after Roy Capra's arrest a few weeks after Peter Conti and Thomas Alo's induction into the Los Santos crime family. Following Roy Capra's arrest, the remaining members of the Los Santos crime family would fall off the grid leaving only Peter Conti to operate within Los Santos. Rise Of Peter Conti After months of expanding his power base and his crew's influence, Peter Conti soon had to solidify his position and his crew by eliminating the threats to his new regime. Thomas "Verbatim" Alo, another LSCF captain, resurfaced and was found gunned down a few weeks after returning to the city. Peter Conti sent his associates, Dominic "Ted Bundy" Altomare and Daniel "Pretty Boy" Santoro, to eliminate James Padanova, a suspected informant. Following Peter Conti's regime's growth and expanse was a period of peace; Conti utilized the connections and resources of his soldiers further to strengthen his grasp upon Los Santos' criminal underworld. Through illicit trade, as one of Conti's soldiers, Joseph Campagna, has been said to have been a significant player in Los Santos' drug trade, having pumped an abundant amount of narcotics such as cocaine, heroin, and ecstasy into the market. Following the deaths of Alo and Padanova and the inductions of Joseph Campagna, then later, Dominic Altomare were made members of the family. Los Santos had all but formally cut off its ties with Kansas City. Lacking Kansas City's support, Conti and his people soon saw the city return to being free for all between various crime families through their satellite crews. It would be the beginning of the first "war" for supremacy. Wild Wild West Two long-term associates, Henry "Hairpiece" D'Amico and Daniel "Pretty Boy" Santoro, were inducted as made men and given the task to handle the encroaching crews through elimination or subjugation. After a few months of the conflict, the duo completed their job through the Vespucci Beach-based Lagrusa crew's subjugation. A few weeks after, word went around that the remaining members had all left the state. With contending crews being taken care of, the term Conti crime family began coming into play in some circles. Meanwhile, back in Kansas City, the group would still be referred to as ingrates and pretenders. With the new name, however, the organization saw an increase of influence throughout the state as it enjoyed a time of growth. Conti Golden Age As the organization grew, upper management opened the books for a long-term associate of Peter Conti's, Gerald Marchetti. His induction into the ranks led to the first crews being established within the family. With Daniel Santoro and Gerald Marchetti both at the reigns of their respective crews, the crime family's reach began to creep into all aspects of Los Santos through the procurement of government contracts and control over the drug flow into the city. Under Dominic Altomare's direction, Daniel Santoro and David Pillini were often sent out to deal with other organizations in the town, the trio preferring to have business partners instead of rivals. This doctrine was enforced by the upper echelon even further as David Pillini was sent out of state alongside John Carrone and Donald Birchese to strengthen business relationships with organizations throughout the United States' sunbelt region. A Few Bad Months What was referred to as the "Golden Age" continued as Carmine "The Weasel" Gallo, Nicholas Trisano, and John "Tuna" Capra were brought in as made men. This making ceremony would have been the beginning of the end; however, long-term associate and prospective member Marco Caruso was stabbed to death weeks later. However, after a period of internal conflict, Carmine Gallo would be the only one of the three left alive. After the death of two members and a handful of associates, the organization began to pull the San Andreas Bureau of Investigation's attention. SABI, relentless in its efforts to arrest the Conti crime family's leadership, put the organization into a mothballed state as members went off the grid to avoid investigation. The SABI probe would have been the first time a State or Federal agency launched a long-term investigation into the family directly instead of one of the schemes they were involved in through proxies. The Renaissance After a few months going from city to city throughout the South-West, Conti associate and prospective member David Pillini was called back to Los Santos by Dominic Altomare. With his return also came the return of the organization's prominence within the criminal underworld in a few weeks. Associates of the Conti crime family such as James Granillo, Michael Farina, Hugh Calilri, and made members like Carmine Gallo and Daniel Santoro would be critical for their new criminal schemes. Once again, the crime family in a position of power soon opened its books and inducted James Donnelli, Lawrence Zampa, James Granillo, and David Pillini in as made men. While each of these men took care of their duties, more prospective members such as Michael Farina, Hugh Caliri, Ricky Castellani, and Brandon Falasco saw themselves being brought in as made members as well. In Conti fashion, the newly made individuals were constantly sent out to deal with external problems. In this case, David Pillini, Hugh Caliri, Ricky Castellani, and James Granillo were used to stamp out the competition on the west side of the city and return the family to its powerhouse status. Cutthroat Politics As Dominic Altomare oversaw the family's return to the top in the criminal underworld, Peter Conti continued to see that his influence was everywhere within the city's government. During the mayoral elections of 2020, the Halford campaign saw itself bankrolled by Peter Conti to gain control over the mayor upon his victory. However, this dream was short-lived as, after a few weeks in office, Halford turned on Conti by outing him publicly for attempting to bribe him. Oswald Halford ousted Peter to distance himself from the crime boss but was met with proof of his corrupt actions surfacing. Halford was promptly arrested for perjury; Peter Conti cooperated with the district attorney's office to avoid Oswald's allegations. After being exposed during the Oswald Halford corruption scandal, Peter Conti fell off the grid, leaving the family had to deal with the spotlight being shined on Vinewood. With Peter Conti gone, it was only natural for underboss Dominic Altomare to take the helm. Spreading the Gospel Under Dominic Altomare's leadership, he brought the family's old priorities back to the forefront of criminal doctrine. After an internal reorganization, Gerald Marchetti and James Donnelli joined Dominic Altomare within the upper echelon. Carmine Gallo and James Granillo, the two newly appointed captains, continued to oversee most day-to-day business as the organization's influence began to grow once more. Paul Martino's induction only continued to bolster the ranks of the made members within the crime family. Alongside Paul Martino's making came a return to the control of drugs following into the city through David Pillini's out-of-state connections. With the grasp of product flowing into the city, old alliances with organizations throughout the state were rekindled. The crime family also forged new partnerships through the distribution of narcotics and firearms throughout the state. As the criminal underworld within San Andreas continues to house multiple wars between different organizations throughout the city, the one bulwark that seems to be unconquerable remains on Clinton Avenue in Vinewood. OOC Information The Conti crime family reserves the right to permanently kill any aspiring members if necessary. Permission to post screenshots must be given by an inducted member. 3. Introduction Congratulations! If you're here you're either curious about the effect of methamphetamine on people, or your character has or is going to use methamphetamine. If it's the latter then you should be prepared to RP possibly the worst experience the human body and mind can go through. As someone with secondhand experience of meth addiction through family and friends, I find myself dissatisfied with the roleplay regarding the usage of methamphetamine and have decided to make this guide as a result. People who are curious or eager to RP smoking meth should hopefully be turned away by this guide as it takes a special kind of person to totally abandon their own desire for positive character growth. Meth is an all-consuming and heavily destructive drug. Your character should be willing to do anything for the mere prospect of obtaining more if they're an addict. The "Cracked" video on meth, "Everything You Know About Meth is Wrong" is essentially bullshit, and if you have the intention of posting it as a refutation to this guide then please do not bother. How Addictive is Meth? Meth is the single most addictive substance on the planet, to my knowledge. The Montana Meth Project's Slogan for a long period of time was, "Meth, not even once." The reason behind this is due to the sheer potency of meth's high. Meth, like heroin and cocaine, releases dopamine. Dopamine is the body's chemical means of identifying survival needs. The highest natural release of this is during sex, where for the sake of example 100 arbitrary units of dopamine are released. It is the highest natural human need. Heroin and cocaine release roughly 400 arbitrary units of dopamine and takeover after extended use as the primary need. Methamphetamine releases 1500 of the arbitrary units; it is 15 times better than sex. Upon the first use of methamphetamine, the brain will recognize it as the highest necessary survival need and will seek it out over sleep, sex, food, or any other need imaginable. In an experiment: mice were first given meth, and then they were then repeatedly given a choice of food and meth. They chose meth every time until they starved to death. While humans have the capability to break from that choice there is a methodology behind meth addiction, and that methodology is simple: "How can I do more meth?" This means that a person will eat, but they won't eat for the sake of eating; a meth addict will eat so that they can do more meth. They will drink so that they can do more meth. Everything that they do is to obtain more meth, but these actions won't be long term calculations. A CEO won't be a meth addict as that requires the ability to delay gratification. For a meth addict, the immediate gratification of meth is the only thing that matters, and the perception of its need for survival is so intense that it cannot be delayed without extreme psychological and physical impact. What is a Meth High Like? Highs are a subjective experience for many people, but there are similarities due to the actual chemical release it causes. It is the best singular experience someone can feel. For many, the first time using meth is an indescribable euphoria. It can boost confidence to incredible levels. For many users when they smoke meth it is comparable to feeling like a god and having legitimate feeling invincibility. In the words of Cg Kid, a recovering polyaddict whose drug of choice was meth, "If I had a choice between a ten-person orgy, and jerking off on meth, I'd chose meth every time." It is common for users to ejaculate in their pants during their first time, or at any other point. To restate and finish, a meth high is the greatest singular experience someone can go through; it feels amazing, and not in a "weed calms me down" sort of way. It is many many times better than the experience of an orgasm, and it can last longer that twenty-four hours. At the beginning of a meth addiction it is common to feel more productive, but usually after a bit of time that productivity turns into a never-ending search for pleasure usually through sex or pornography. What is it Like to Come Down from Meth? It will feel like dying. Not in a psychedelic "ego death" sort of way. This is akin to starving oneself or refusing to drink water, but even more intense. This is especially true for veteran meth users; I use the term veteran loosely as it can only take a month to reach the peak state of addiction, it is dependant on the user. Extreme fatigue due to a lack of sleep and/or incredibly brain activity, extreme appetite, psychosis, and anxiety, paranoia, negative emotions will become far far more intense. If somebody has anger issues they will struggle heavily with anger. If somebody has anxiety it will become overbearing. Depression will happen, but if someone already suffers from depression it will become even more intense. It is the worst thing in the world. It is torture, and it will all go away with the simple use of more meth. What Are the Effects of Meth? I have already discussed the psychological effects of meth, but now I'll talk about the physical effects. The vast majority of users will experience extreme weight loss because of the loss of appetite experience for the vast majority of users. There will likely be muscle loss as well, but this will only occur in extremes when the body eats through its fat. Acne will occur, and likely the user will scratch this acne off leading to a large number of open sores and scabs. People who are experiencing heavy meth addiction will likely have very poor personal hygiene. Heavy meth users will experience tooth decay and without treatment, this tooth decay will become incredibly painful; that pain will not be experienced or at least not significant during a high. If You're RPing a Meth Addict Please be aware of what meth is actually like. Nothing annoys me more than a character who will smoke meth socially. The chances of smoking meth and not becoming addicted, for the first time, is one in twenty. That stat gets slimmer and slimmer with repeated use. It is possible to start of smoking meth socially. After a month of use, it will not be social. It will at least be a weekly ritual. If your character's family has a history of addiction to any substance then it is incredibly likely that they will spiral immediately into heavy use. If your character has been a heavy meth addict for over a month they will not look good. They will most likely be concerningly underweight. They might have scabs and open wounds. Their goal and drive in life will be the use of meth. Meth addiction shouldn't be a casual facet of a character. If someone is a meth addict is an all-consuming, life-destroying addiction. Meth becomes the personality; meth becomes the drive. A meth addict lives for meth. This isn't to say that it is impossible to get off of, many people have, but being sober and not being addicted are two entirely separate things. Meth addicts are addicts for life. Even after years of being sober, they will dream about meth use; they will crave that feeling of a meth high as it is the highest obtainable release of dopamine. It is virtually impossible to quit meth, after prolonged use, by oneself. It oftentimes requires detox and immense support structures. Even for people who've been sober for years, if they were sat in a room with meth for just five minutes it in all likelihood will trigger a relapse. Conclusion If you have any doubts about your ability to RP a meth addict then do not even use meth in character. To RP a meth addict will be a painful experience. Your character will hurt people they love, emotionally, financially, and oftentimes physically. It is an immensely tragic experience. It will change the course of your character forever, and they will be incredibly lucky to escape that usage alive, and they will always be an addict. If you do not want to RP a meth addict, then don't smoke meth.

  4. So a few people aren't too sure how to use the note system and seeing as I was once there myself wondering how to actually make it work I've decided to create this little guide to help players. So first up, you'll need to head to a 24/7 to buy a note. Once you have a note bought, you have a couple of options for how you can use the note. Message Note Type /inv to show your characters inventory then look at the inv ID for the note. The first command you want to use is /note ID amount name DesiredName Example: /note 5 1 name Testing Message This will give the note a name for you to use for the next command. The next command is: /note 5 1 content YourMessage Example: /note 5 1 content Hello, testing note Then to use the note it's the same as any other item, /useitem ID And the note will show up like this: Image Note Type /inv to show your characters inventory then look at the inv ID for the note. The first command you want to use is /note ID amount name DesiredName Example: /note 5 1 name Testing Flyer The next command is: /note 5 1 content ImageLink Example: /note 5 1 content https://i.imgur.com/cRi4Eka.png (The image link must include the .png/jpg etc format at the end) Image Note put into practise: https://streamable.com/j5u2r

  14. You've proved being incapable to lead a faction like ten times now, not to mention you making like what, 3 or 4 factions in one day? You've proven that you're incapable to make anything with common sense, you know very well that we're basing San Anne off Cali near LA. There is no Norteños, Yakuzas or what ever. You've had personal talks with Nervous that seem to have no input. You're simply incapable to lead a faction (not to mention it's more than likely that you will switch it in less than a week), just join something there are plenty of choices and stop making these topics and saying that one of the best rprs are targeting you when you're clearly at wrong.

  17. I think that this is a very concerning response for a number of reasons. Firstly, you have made a sweeping statement pertaining to how you would feel, without ever having experienced it firsthand. I don't want to presume how you would react, but I can say with a level of confidence that you most likely wouldn't brush off plagiarized/stolen/repossessed content. I also feel that this idea that it being "a game" is worryingly superficial. Regardless of the purpose of content or it's creation, the effort and end product is still tangible. Within the scope of music content, it's also transferable, meaning it could be applied in a great many other areas beyond the scope of the game/community for which is was originally intended. To that end, regardless of GTA:W being irrelevant, as you are so adamant that it is, the buck doesn't stop with this community when it comes to content creation. Finally, I hasten to address that your egregious and aggressive defense of your actions illustrates that you know that your conduct — or more broadly the act of plagiarizing or stealing work without offering credit — is unacceptable. I also fervently state that in spite of you saying you gave credit, there is no outright credit on the post itself, nor have you been willing to provide evidence of permission from the original creator, instead asking "why do you all care?" I think that a number of community members have already expressed their concerns there, so perhaps it would be easier to show that instead of being so abrasive. Moving on from a specific incident and speaking more broadly, I understand the concern for GTA:W as a community, but as it operates as a platform and not as the actual publishing entity, it would be in the clear. The same can't be said for the actual person responsible however, so for the sake of the community, it would be prudent for GTA:W to enforce this for the sake of protecting community members from potential legal jeopardy. Even aside from legality, it's highly immoral to conduct yourself in such a fashion. It's an interesting debate, and not an issue I had been aware of until now. I appreciate it being brought up.
