waterwings
police don't like to tackle nowadays that they have tazers all year round since tackling someone is dangerous have a function that if 1 person is running full speed and another is too that if one punches the other they both just fall down Link to comment
Narco
I was skeptical about this although I do like this, I'd rather give the player the opportunity to have me tackle them rather than just run up and tase them in a second.. Link to comment
Mahitto
10 hours ago, Jaye said: absolutely not. do not make this restricted to cops and how would you possible be able to make this functionable without having to type in a command like LSRP on SAMP where you had to type /tackle and shit. Typing /tackle I wouldn't say takes up to much time but it could just be a mess overall. You could /tackle when you begin chasing someone (or feel like you're about to) and the first register punch makes them /ragdoll. You can then role-play having pushed them, tripped them, jumped on them etc. Link to comment
mana
A tackle system would be cool to have as it would be helpful for all players. It'd be furthermore beneficial to police roleplay as cops would not be required to use tasers anymore, which would in some cases constitute excessive or inapplicable force. There are many incidents where one would be expected to tackle a person or simply hold them down, but is forced to use a taser, even in scenarios that wouldn't make sense (such as when dealing with elderly people or persons with conditions). Stopping people on bikes is an example of how silly it can get, as it should be as simple as kicking them off their bike; yet we are often forced to beanbag or tase them off. Players who don't have cop characters are on the other hand left with no tools other than the emote system, and most of the time the person will just bike off 'not having seen it' or 'having been too far away anyway'.
