  1. Not sure if you're trolling me right now. The fact its no longer sending signals back to the main servers is a reason for it to go off. It's 2023, you really think people who develop security systems in the modern era don't take these type of things into account? It's not at all as complicated as it sounds.
  2. That's quite literally a reason for the alarm to go off at the police department and especially the security company. As soon as the alarm stops sending signals and the connection is cut off, it'll start notifying everybody that there's something wrong at this location. And that directly means it will actually go off as the connection has been severed/jammed.
  3. The definition of powergaming is performing unrealistic acts that could not be done in real life. If a jammer would be activated IRL and jam/intercept/distort an alarm system in a property the alarm would immediately go off. The fact the signal gets tampered with in any way shape or form would immediately make the alarm go off. With that being said, if this tool allows for this to happen when its not realistic or viable in real life, it is the quite literal definition of powergaming and thus the tool itself is powergamed. Please do some research on how most 2023 home security equipment works, especially the high-end ones. Respectfully.
  4. That comment was obviously aimed toward the fact the tool in itself is a powergame tool as it wouldn't work in real life without immediately triggering an alarm, hence why I said 2-3 minutes is already too much. But whatever dude, lol.
  5. 2-3 minutes is still too much, ask anyone in a security faction how often they respond to home alarms and how the entire house has already been looted within 2 minute response times. I've had instances where even vaults were broken into within a two minute time span. We should never introduce powergamed tools into our world and completely destroy the balance of things. It's unrealistic, it makes no sense, its a fairy tale. And the fact this update didn't come with a simultaneous update to allow us to store items/objects/valuables other than money at banks for instance is a clear testament that some of us are just seen as walking piggy banks.
  6. As someone who runs a security company I don't know how I'm expected to realistically interact with clients who start complaining our state of the art advertised alarm system failed to go off when the signal was tampered with since that's legitimately how home security systems are handled. I'm being forced to roleplay unrealistic shit for absolutely no reason other than to give some people a tool which is the LITERAL definition of powergaming. Hardcore roleplay server btw?
  7. Until you realize folk just low-key go to the LSPD forums and use the background check section and other publicly available sections to identify who has PF licenses, check their address and then target them specifically. You can easily make that 50k back if you find 1-2 guns as its rather simple to find someone stupid enough to overpay for guns. I still think the value of the devices does not justify the fact that security companies now have to deal with an unrealistic atmosphere to the point where they have to ICly start justifying to their clients why their alarm system didn't work when in reality they actually would because as soon as the signal is jammed, disconnected or tampered with in any way shape or form the alarm would go off. This is just a fairy tale mission impossible tool that has no room on a high/hardcore roleplay server and only serves to appeal to the looter shooter RUST players which is actually very disappointing to see as someone who has been here and supported GTA:W from nearly the start. The direction things are going are worrisome to say the least and I certainly hope this'll be reconsidered and reversed. While seemingly reasonable for vehicles, this is just crazy for houses and essentially makes them useless to store things in.
  8. You're wrong, we always check in with our clients to see what they're missing so that our private investigators can follow up on any information. Go past pawnshops in the next few days to see if the stolen good were sold, etc. It's nearly never the /robhouses command. Those are typically done on house/apartments that hold no value. People who break into fancy houses in Vinewood and what not (the ones who can realistically also afford us and our systems) are almost always done through /breakin and they go through the house like the flash. Going as far as to open up safes in mission-impossible like time-spans like we're dealing with some Gotham-city like levels of criminal masterminds. This pretty forces people to reconsider the way they furnish their homes and how its utilized storage wise. I wouldn't ever recommend anyone keeping any valuables in homes anymore. I didn't recommend it in the first place, but now especially it's pretty much pointless. I also predict to soon see a trend of people honey-combing houses to protect themselves in RUST like fashion against what are essentially RUST like offline raids.
  9. As someone who owns a security company, thus having to deal with property alarms on the daily. You are very wrong, I think 90percent of our alarms are in the late nights and early mornings when there's barely anyone online.
  10. Why only in Davis? Start perma banning every troll.
  11. I like everything apart from the fact signal jammers on house alarms sounds ridiculously OP, login at 5AM at dead times and you have 10min of free access to literally the biggest of houses anywhere on the map. Alarms would immediately go off the second signal is lost or electricity cut off or whatever, sounds like some mission impossible esque shit to me.
  12. I genuinely hope it is, if it isn't it pretty much just reinforces the points people have made before. Get over yourselves and try new things that are up to par with what the server is trying to portray.
  13. The replies from some individual(s) in this thread also kinda show why a lot of people shy away from them. I do think you should take some constructive criticism and change your ways if you want people to react differently to you. Kinda feels like these people are creating the stigma or just reinforcing it by their attitudes here.
  14. In my personal humble opinion, combined with years of personal experience. The people who generally feel the need to drag things out unnecessarily with paragraphs upon paragraphs of useless shit are 9/10 times people who are ERPers and this is their way to show everyone they interact with that they're in for some juicy cyber sex if they were to approach their character in that fashion. Everyone looks the same anyway, there's no "attraction" because every woman and man is a copy of the next one, there's not much difference between them. So what sets people apart is their roleplay ability. It's basically like a peacock showing off its feathers to attract other peacocks to them. Some people gravitate toward these type of roleplayers, others know exactly whats up and try to avoid them. To each their own.
  15. I don't really know why some of these LCN fans are getting so upset, simply change your name and RP a bit of a different accent (any type of accent, Russian, Chechen, anything) and you will be roleplaying the exact same things. It's not like OCG roleplay differs much when it comes to themes. Go through all the faction threads on the forums. OCG roleplay has been in the same ol' loop for years now. The only difference between groups is ethnicity.
  16. Dude you need to stop hijacking the thread, you're just making yourself look bad. If you want to complain about unrelated shit make your own thread and cry your eyes out over all the super models. This is about LCN roleplay and solely that. And it's very apparent that both IFM and the community are sick and tired of this concept that has been abused by terrible roleplayers for years. I remember in 2019/2020 I had Italian dudes coming on a daily/weekly basis to extort legitimate fast food chains in the most ridiculous ways possible and I've also had some nice sit-downs with LCN factions back then. Even the good RP felt weird and out of place due to the setting we roleplay in. Just stop beating a dead horse already, respectfully.
  17. Sad but true and one of the reasons nothing in terms of quality will ever change. Banned people don't donate money.
  18. "I won't reply until an admin tells me to 🤓🤓🤓" Replies anyway due to fragile ego 🤡
  19. If mallrat cat ear wearing lesbians are killing you, they are by default not legal characters my man. They are very much illegal characters, committing illegal acts. Whether you like it or not. If you think the "legal" community appreciates these type of characters any more or less than the "illegal" community does, you are mistaken. The only people who like these characters are fellow lesbian roleplayers. They are a whole different type of sub-category all together.
  20. For now as an alternative you can use /camera, press F7 twice so the chat pops up and then type /anim binoculars1-2. This way it'll show the binocular animation and you can use the camera zoon as a makeshift binocular.
  21. Always make sure I have a bunch of drugs on me so I 24/7 have a reason to blast on the first person who dares to pull me over for anything unrelated.
  22. Could I see any evidence? Just curious how people supposedly abuse the new rule that has recently been implemented.
