  1. This is an excellent suggestion, I'll happily let y'all conduct car-robberies if you're at risk of getting CK'd if the robbery goes wrong. To me, this is the absolute best solution ever. Nervous makes $$$ because people need to constantly buy namechanges and people will actually have to apply fear-roleplay when targeting people for a robbery. It'll also force people into roleplaying realistically.
  2. That's crazy, tell Jimmy Henchman I said hi. Martyn Devil
  3. This is not a fix for both sides, if you want to be able to do Brazilian-like favela robberies and you want to actually make it fair for both sides? Allow us to counter this with other Brazilian tactics, we'll start creating vigilante death squads and go around robbing criminals in their hoods and territory with big numbers to disarm them and keep the city safe. You have any gang affiliated tattoo's on you? You're going in the fucking trunk and coming with us buddy. Operation city sweep. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brazilian_militias Then we can start talking about "IC is IC" and see how you like it if the tables are turned. (Obviously this post is to point out how ridiculous the suggestion is, I don't actually think we should have vigilante death squads. But fight fire with fire, you know?)
  4. We need far, far more moderation on Facebrowser, not less. Be it through IC means or OOC means, doesn't matter to me. This shit's a sofcore porn website at this point.
  5. What you fail to understand is that you can't just reposes a vehicle because someone failed payments. You need a court order to reposes a vehicle. If someone misses payments, doesn't reach out for a payment plan or gives a reasonable explanation for the missed payment the lease company, or the loan company has to go to court first. You present your evidence to court and then a judge will determine if you can go ahead and reposes the vehicle. Only then can you go ahead and do this. Doing this without a court order can and will be considered theft. And possibly even trespassing if you're entering properties to do the repossession. As per California law, you may only reposes a vehicle without a court order if the vehicle is in a publicly accessible place. If a vehicle is in someone's garage, you'll need a court order. So no, random people with no court order and no deescalation training is not "promoting roleplay and interesting interactions" its sending a goon squad after empty vehicles unlawfully. It's a rather complicated process that required in depth roleplay and proper communication and interaction with the person that defaulted on their loan or lease. It's not as easy as you make it out to be. While a script would be cool and all, like I previously mentioned this should be reserved for actual factions/companies rather than widely available as if its a trucker job.
  6. I don't think this is really needed, my faction practically already does what is suggested here but instead of going after lease cars that haven't been paid we go after people who have taken loans and put up vehicles or properties as collateral. Maybe if you're hard pressed on wanting to go after lease vehicles when people don't pay them, you could script something for it I suppose? But it sounds very complicated, you'd have to force spawn peoples cars or something when they're not online? Then you'll need keys to that vehicle, or not and they'll have to script the ability to load up vehicles on your truck without the need to get inside the car. Opening up a whole other can of worms that could very well be abused by the general public. To me it just seems like a very complicated thing for a niche. Could be cool I guess, but definitely not a public job. We actually have to go to court and get permission to do all this and follow laws/regulations and call law enforcement if the owner is giving us a hard time and not complying. It's for people who are actually trained at this sort of thing and knows the laws.
  7. Sounds like more of a company/faction thing rather than a script job that has to be created and accessed by everyone and their mother.
  8. And while you're at it, remove ATM's from the map that are inside interiors and can't be accessed anyway. It's so annoying driving out to some place only to find out the ATM is inside the property or doesn't exist at all.
  9. You even reading what you're saying? You're literally saying if people can't use a shit tier roleplay mechanic to loot weapons they'll turn to other shit tier roleplay to get weapons... Isn't this kinda the fundamental problem on the server? A large portion of players not giving a shit about their quality of roleplay as long as they can get their hands on a weapon? Thats quite LITERALLY the PUBG/DAYZ argument people have been saying for so long. The fact you're so casual and nonchalant about this speaks volumes about a certain portion of players and their mindsets on this server. Threads like these are a good way for RPQM and IFM to see which players needs to be put on some monitor list for not actually being here to roleplay but playing this as a glorified TDM server with extra dialogue.
  10. This fisherman uses some good bait.
  11. Username: Password Comment: I heard it was an absolute blood bath in there, more than eight bodies! Who knows how far the Arcani Group goes to protect their clients interests!? This needs to be regulated.
  12. No thanks, it's not healthy for the community. Mass shootings happen IRL, we don't RP that here for the health of the server. Terrorist attacks happen IRL, we don't RP them here for the sake of the health of the community. People using predatory tactics to ensure you can't walk the streets anymore at all is unhealthy for the servers population. These rules are there to ensure people are able to roleplay in a semi-realistic environment where they don't have to be 24/7 frightened on the streets because they could be randomly hit by robbery seal team 6 in their car which they could of very well sold to make money if they were that down bad for money to the point where they decided to mug someone.
  13. Allow lesbian ERP in the female pod and you'll have half the server making female lifer characters. Problem solved.

    Donald Gibson

While Gibson was funny and I might've paid him money to pimp-slap random people for my own personal entertainment (I cried of laughter at times) comparing him to Johnny Snake at all is a crime and you should be banned from the forums for saying that.
  15. Sure its a game, but nobody's forcing you to play the game in a fashion where you're taking the risk of KNOWN consequences. That's entirely your choice and yours alone. I also haven't seen a single person mention how this'll impact regular players. Your bad ass female character being arrested and then released within a very short period of time is also extremely detrimental to the continuity and flow of roleplay. Imagine some GTA:W amazonian goddess going to prison over attempted murder and said female character is released after two days and every single character that was involved in this roleplay (including the victim) now has to deal with this character ALREADY being released when it literally happened two days ago. Imagine how law enforcement and investigators will start handling things related to female characters, the same argument can be used. "It's just a game and its not worth my time to investigate these characters because it's pointless and my days/weeks of investigation roleplay can result in said character being out and about doing the same things after two days" That's also a direct result of a decision like this, and it's also the right of police officers not to want to put in their limited game time into unrewarding scenarios such as investigating female characters who would be pretty much immune and exempt from IN CHARACTER punishments. This is a selfish suggestion in my opinion, putting yourself above the needs of others. There are more factors at play here than just "Durr I can't play my char now" consider how it impacts everyone else that was involved in your characters arrest. This is a hardcore roleplaying server, other people's immersion shouldn't be impacted by your lack of accepting consequences. In a way it's a bit of a child-like line of thought. This is not to say that OP did actually point out a real issue in relation to the jail and I do hope there's a solution somehow to make it a more enjoyable experience. But lowering sentences ain't it. Find some more creative solutions, allow women some more rights and freedom in the prison for example. Allow them to do minor jobs within the facility to interact with guards and other employees at the prison. Let them make food/lunch for the male inmates for example or do janitorial duties around the place for interaction. If the female pod is nearly empty, you can put these characters to good use in a fun way since they don't pose too much of a risk as said pod doesn't require as much attention and monitoring compared to its male counterpart.
  16. You're right being a female wouldn't be the meta. Being gender fluid on the other hand? Ooooh boy, gimme that reduced sentence sir.
  17. Can't believe people are actually replying to this in a serious manner.
  18. Majority of players I know already avoid ATM's like the plague and go to banks to withdraw money instead. Not a fan of the suggestion but there is a real problem he has mentioned. There's a limited amount of ATM's on the map, if they're all being skimmed you're shit out of luck. I think these skimmers should de-activate or something after a shorter period of time to give more players a piece of the cake.
  19. The Arcani Group already does this but it would be nice to have a proper script for it, allowing us to actually put certain things in a box instead of putting everything in one inventory and having to keep track of all the items in there on discord or google docs.
  20. Not picking sides here and I'm sure there have been some very good arguments made for both sides of the coin but I do find it extremely hilarious and feel the need to point out the hypocrisy on this server once more. We've got people complaining criminals do too much killing on the server, the arguments provided for this by said people who induldge in all these shootings are the fact shootouts are fun, its a video game. People don't want to login to do 3hours of boring trivial things, shootouts are way more fun. Lots of people frown upon this, especially the "legal" community and law enforcement roleplayers. Now you've got these same law enforcement roleplayers basically saying the same thing, A is boring so we don't want to do A. We want to focus on B, which is usually just driving from shootout to shootout. It's quite literally what people said on the thread earlier, it's cops and robbers with extra steps. (Yes, there are exceptions. I don't need replies with another 5 paragraphs explaining how YOU and a select group of players roleplay putting milk in your cereal every morning, we get it you're the superior roleplayer good for you) The hypocrisy on this community is something I've never seen before anywhere else, it's absolutely astonishing. I think its time for people to reflect a little on their own behavior and how they can chip in to make the community a little better for the rest of the people on the server, rather than pointing the finger.
  21. I'm pretty sure that factions ignore your admin record after a certain amount of time has passed since your last admin punishment so I don't agree with you. As harsh as it might sound, if you don't want to get ajailed and have an ajail on your record? Don't break the rules.
  22. I find it extremely comical you have to deal with your character quite literally having to avoid stepping on dead bodies when going out and about in Los Santos but we're still expected to adhere to "realistic" fear rules as if we're living in a gated community and anything and everything scares us or you'll be hit with a CK. Gotham City Roleplay.
  23. Would be great of churches opened more regularly, my character would definitely show up to services.
  24. The only way to get rid of the rule is to somehow replace it with a rule against robbing firearms. This is the ONLY reason people feel the need to do this. I can guarantee you and willing to bet anything on it that we could remove every single rule related to robberies and replace it with a simple "Cant rob firearms" and you'll see the robberies decrease SIGNIFICANTLY instead of increasing with all these limitations removed.
  25. In an ideal world this would be the case, until you speak/roleplay with some of the casino owners and managers and find out they're simply struggling to even find sufficient enough security personnel to handle the inside of the business. Let alone the entire outside and providing security details for high rollers. That's not even mentioning the fact we've got the most liberal gun laws on GTA:W where security can't carry anything more than a pistol. So carrying a shotgun? Nope... Carrying a rifle? Nope. Can't even get special permission from the government if you're hired to secure essential and vital infrastructure which is just strange. It's not as easy as you think to hire (GOOD) security staff, a lot of people are discouraged from roleplaying the theme because in order to roleplay a bodyguard for instance you'll need the ability to conceal a firearm along with your guard card. But the CCW exam is so messed up I've seen lawyers, district attorneys, cops, basically people who evolve their entire roleplay around Los Santos law REPEATEDLY fail the CCW exam because as I've said many times, it doesn't test your knowledge or safety but its designed to trick you into failing. I don't like a rule being implemented to help casinos and what not, but handling it IC is also near impossible due to all the OOC restrictions and regulations I just mentioned.
