  1. This to me sounds a bit weird and entitled, I meant no offensive with it. Hope you can see past it and read the rest of my advice as I do believe it'll benefit you greatly. Sherlock out.
  2. First things first OP, you're not entitled to anything. You can't force players to interact with you, your rule suggestion is rather extreme and the wrong mindset. With that being said, I'm going to give you two pieces of advice that always work for me and I've been RPing on these text based communities since 2009ish. (This does not have to work for everyone) 1) Appearances matter, do not take any offense to what I'm about to say but if your character looks or resembles anything remotely close to your PFP I would personally avoid you like the plague, matter of fact? Any female thrist-trap-esque character is not going to get any of my time or effort. This isn't only restricted to female characters, there are plenty of male characters that look goofy and I wouldn't want my character to be seen interacting with them. It's a bad look both IC and OOCly. So make sure that whatever character you make, create an appropriate appearance that appeals to the demographic you would like to interact with. I'm not saying you cant make an anime girl thirst trap character, matter of fact there are a lot of these characters on GTA:W so you should find plenty of engagement. Just know that you'll be restricting yourself due to the fact a large portion of the server is likely going to want to ignore you. So finding a healthy balance that attracts characters from all different walks of life is going to be beneficial for you if you crave as much interaction as humanly possible. Try to appeal to as many people as possible and you'll increase your chances of making connections and friendships significantly. 2) This is advice that could be taken in real life too and it applies to GTA:W as well, make yourself (or in this instance your character) useful. And that can be done in many ways, you've already tried a few from what I can tell by trying out law enforcement. But there are many different ways to make your character useful, there are plenty of other jobs in the city that you can work at that'll give you extra interaction and engagement, think of security companies, multiple departments at city government, maybe even politics or medical RP. There are many areas that you can still explore. However, these things will still kinda restrict you in terms of having other people tell you what to do or having to wait for "jobs" and not really being able to dictate your own pace. So what you could also be doing is creating your own business, this doesn't have to be a bar, clubs or something like that. There's plenty of creative ideas I'm sure you could come up with. This means you can open your business whenever you want and have people come by and if you open up at the same times on the same days you'll soon find yourself having regulars that come over and you can build a network through that. Not feeling like going through the hassle of requesting properties, going around finding a suitable location and the likes of that? There are plenty of businesses you could create and register that don't require a business. You could consider investing in an apartment, map it yourself or have it mapped to your wishes. Put a nice office in it, now you can possibly roleplay a lawyer or a psychologist. This will allow you to simply login and pop an advertisement offering your services, wait for someone to call and poof you've got something to do. Being a psychologist or a lawyer will also give you plenty of opportunity to create a ton of dialogue and should keep you busy. Avoid things like physical therapy, yoga sessions and personal trainer things. These are all ERP bait jobs.
  3. After going over the thread, reading posts and watching some video(s) and picture(s) that were posted I must say I've come to the conclusion that this server has gone completely insane. I've never even seen this type of racism allowed on red dead roleplay servers, how the fuck do we have this on GTA:W? Don't think I'd ever say this in my life but I'd choose cat ear wearing lesbians over this nazi shit every day of the week.
  4. A case of "You don't shit where you eat", most characters aren't exactly the pinnacle of unique roleplay and don't understand there are victimless crimes. These local criminal factions should be protecting the local businesses, especially in a "remote setting" like the county. People look after each other, even the criminals who were raised there were raised with certain morals and a sense of community. You can still be that bad ass criminal you have wet dreams about without having to extort, tax, rob and harass fellow county roleplayers and protecting the locals. Realistically speaking you'd want business to be booming, more people show up to the county the more customers you might have for drug sales for example. Some outsider showing up to a bar and causing trouble, instead of having locals or the business owner call 911, that criminal organisation should police the town and get that dude out of that bar and teach him a lesson in being humble. Leave the business owners alone, it's ridiculous.
  5. Genuinely impressed you haven't been banned for ban evading yet.
  6. Does the "Rather not have more OOC restrictions" also extend to not OOC restricting the senate to ICly pass a law that would allow law enforcement to preemptively frisk folk that walk around in public with ski masks?
  7. Why's this thread being hijacked? This is about wearing masks in public spaces for which an IC law could easily be created if its not held back by your usual admin intervention. Why we derailing and talking about car robberies? Respectfully, make your own thread.
  8. FBI veteran, good to see you here brother. Also for those that are interested there's a dedicated NGRP discord made by @pogoyo for people who played at 2014 and before 2014. You'll probably come across a lot of names that you'll recognize if you played NGRP a lot. https://discord.gg/myJ7SPfVHd
  9. Playing here since 2018, never donated a single penny and never felt restricted by it. The only thing I don't like is /bad being behind a paywall but that's fixed by taking it IC and paying an advertiser to handle it instead. It's not that big of a deal.
  10. Y'all some evil people, for real. @A | X would genuinely be interested.
  11. All wars are started by angry old men, but they are fought by young men... On the forums.
  12. I don't think anyone here is asking for OOC admin rules surrounding masks, that would be ridiculous and unnecessary. I do not like admin intervention or OOC intervention with anything that should be kept IC. I also think it would be incredibly stupid to make it so people can be arrested for wearing a mask or face covers. I think that would even be unconstitutional seeing as some religions have their women cover their faces and what not. However, I'm pretty sure it can be discouraged by some kind of law that allows law enforcement to detain and frisk anyone who's seen unnecessarily concealing their identity in public spaces. That alone would likely discourage the excessive usage in Los Santos in a more sensible way rather than going full dictator mode. A healthy balance is always the way to go.
  13. There are a LOT of things that should be kept IC, I'm in favor of keeping nearly 99percent of the things IC including this "issue" or "non issue" however you perceive it, I personally don't really care much about the masks as it never bothers me or impacts me. But I do know the second lawmakers create a law surrounding facial covers people are immediately going to cry OOCly to the admin team and it'll be voided, amended and or trashed. That's the real problem, instead of those people crying ICly and simply punishing those running for re-election in the future or rallying/protesting in game against decisions the roleplay is completely watered down and people opt for OOC interference instead. That's the state of how things are right now sadly.
  14. To those saying "keep it IC", this doesn't work anymore on GTA:W if you haven't noticed. If it was to be taken IC and law makers create a law around facial covers (which would be an entirely legitimate thing to do) you'd just have those same people claiming to keep it IC donating their tears to IFM/LFM and before you know it things are VETO'd like the marijuana legalization law and plenty of other laws that had to be amended or even entirely scrapped because of severe OOC interference. Those who continue to claim we need to keep things IC are either extremely disconnected with the way GTA:W works or they're just trolling at this point, knowing fully well nothing can be done IC.
  15. The other day I saw 3-4 of these tuned up mallrat vehicles race through the city in a convoy, playing that little shitty game where you have to follow the vehicle in front to the best of your ability and the vehicle up front has to try his hardest to make the route difficult and shake the followers off. They were speeding through the city going over sidewalks and doing the most unrealistic crazy shit ever. They were going so fast shit doesn't load in for them so they literally slammed into us and they themselves weren't impacted by the collision because we didn't even appear on their screens yet. I don't know how y'all want to take shit like this IC, this a breach of common courtesy, its a breach of realistic portrayal and these people need to start getting ajailed and having their vehicles taken from them. There are plenty of legal race tracks and options to race on the server now without having to blatantly be a nuisance to everyone around you.
  16. If my trigger happy mentality gets me punished, I'll cry wolf and get all my buddies to upvote my posts in a poor attempt to influence administration.
  17. Issue CK's on people who crash going at crazy speeds especially when evading from police, I don't see how its anything less but failing to roleplay fear of life.
  18. Private EMS companies would be awesome, would definitely throw money at them for contracts and the likes of that. Wheelchairs are a must as well.
  19. I'll start tricking rich women into marrying my character and then they'll mysteriously end up dying in their sleep. We're going to be rich baby!
  20. The "It happens in real life" is probably the laziest argument possible. I could go on and on and on about things that happen in real life, even to the point where I could say it "frequently" happens but if we were to roleplay all that on a 1:1 scale with only 700players at any given time as opposed to the millions and millions of potential victims in real life? You'll just have a city of frustrated victims and I'd argue that it would be totally realistic for such a victimized population to go absolutely crazy and develop serious mental issues to the point where I would say its totally realistic for them to go on mass shooting sprees in areas where these "robbers" (IE: Gang members) convey on a regular basis. Which would again, in turn ruin the roleplay atmosphere we've been trying to create on the server and would turn this into one of those FiveM full blown warfare servers where its near impossible to do anything without violence being involved at every corner. These rules don't exist to screw you over, they're there to protect normal players and create somewhat of a "realistic" innocent population, even if that population at the moment consists of mostly unrealistic mallrat-like characters that use this platform to fulfill dark and weird fantasies.
