Wiping assets upon a CK like that is pointless, they'll just delete the slot and make a new character to collect their 200k check and rinse and repeat. If you think most of these RPers actually have something to lose you're mistaken. Just start dishing out bans to people instead, stop with band-aid solutions they do not work.

It's a matter of some people becoming admin for the status rather than actually doing the work, WHY do you volunteer for a position you do not have time for? Why do you not retire if your situation in real life changes and you can no longer pull your weight? Be responsible. If you retire because you can't do the work anymore then the people up top can see their admin numbers dwindle and take action by opening up applications again. If people keep pretending they do work but they actually don't you're actively part of why the system is clogging up. Sure it's a volunteer position, but volunteer for any charity IRL and if you fail to do your job properly they are still going to tell you to stop volunteering because you're starting to become a liability and it impacts the other volunteers, such non-arguments all the time its baffling.

I have a faction member who lives in Europe, Austria. He has a concealed firearm permit in real life, he told me it was much MUCH easier to get the permit in real life compared to the hoops you have to jump through on GTA:W and the way the exams are worded and designed not to test knowledge but rather "iq" or whatever. Bare in mind this is a European country with much stricter gun laws than America. People advocating and maintaining these ridiculous processes is the reason why we have to go through applications for nearly everything on this server. Lots of members of the fun gestapo around here.

When they swing by to extort your business your best bet is to just close your business down and wait for the faction that attempted the extortion to archive their faction thread, the people with extremely poor and greedy extortion roleplay will more than likely not be around all that long. You'll out last them, don't risk getting your characters CK'd ladies and gentlemen, it's not worth it.

This should already happen, regardless if the CCW's are easier to get or not.

Can you stop with this narrative, it's just a strawman argument. The CCW good cause thing is just as unrealistic and stupid to legal RP as the "no robbery with vehicles" is stupid and detrimental to illegal RP. It was literally deemed unconstitutional by California. I'll say it again for the 50000th time, just add a rule on the CCW that prevents you from RPing a vigilante with firearm licensed issued weaponry. The same way there is a rule that states gang members can't apply for firearm licenses. It's just not that deep. Server feels like it has the laws/regulations of a European country with the crime rate of a Brazilian favela.

It doesn't have to become like a Taxi license that's ridiculous, make it like firearm licenses where you have to do an exam which asks questions in relation to a handbook which provides all the necessary information you might need to know roleplaying in aviation. Same way the guard card and concealed carry licenses work. Guards don't have to go through ACTUAL training IG too (when they would in real life) they just have to do the exam. Giving one group of people a powerful monopoly like this is detrimental to roleplay.

Gotta agree with this suggestion, I personally don't want to RP with these people for RPQM related issues. (Not gonna name and shame) and I have no alternative for aviation roleplay due to that. Stop the monopoly.

And for anyone reading this thread who thinks this isn't much of a problem, it's been confirmed by various sources including FLD members themselves if you mention needing a CCW for your job on the good cause you will be denied, it's not a good enough reason as it's supposedly only meant for self protection. But at the same time in order to roleplay an armed bodyguard the CCW regulations themselves ALLOW this under the condition that you also have a guard card. So lets say you have a guard card and you want to roleplay a bodyguard, using this as a reason to obtain the CCW will get you denied and likely banned for a month from re-applying. If that fact alone doesn't tell you that there are inherently significant issues with this system and it needs to be re-evaluated, I don't know what to tell you.

This. We need to revert back to the old CCW system, it should not ICly be this difficult because of people breaking server rules. Go back to the way things used to be and put a much more severe OOC punishment on anything to do with PF/CCW/GC related OOC offenses. Put a big ol' disclaimer on the FLD website stating that by getting the license you're liable to much more heavier punishments due to being trusted with this license. Then ban the first 3-5 people who are caught doing stupid shit and you'll quickly see it won't be much of a problem anymore and people can roleplay the theme of their characters the way they want to without having to jump through a zillion hoops on roleplay server on a mod for a 10 year old game. What stops us from disallowing vigilante RP with a CCW license the same way we don't let gangbangers apply for PF licenses? Why take ONE small problem and ruin it for an entire community? Can't any of you come up with any better solutions than to just make certain systems absolute torture?

There are two people on the server who have spend more than 2 million on AdmireMe nudes, not gonna name and shame but they make an incredible amount of money off these people. One of them has even spend more than three million on just nude pictures.

Number 17 and 22 would put up a good fight I'm sure.

In all seriousness, feels like a double edged sword because private evidence can change the narrative of a situation significantly and the reported or reporting party should be able to see this evidence in order to provide a retort. Taking this away from someone seems unfair to me, just because you have a green name tag doesn't mean you're more intelligent or observant. The people involved in the report know what to look for because they were part of the situation. On the other hand people metagame, so I suggest simply allowing private evidence but the reported or reporting party should be given the evidence. It'll be easy to find out if they MG after/during the report and you can simply give them a much harsher punishment than most people who commit metagame would get for abusing the trust of staff and other players.

Legit every single time I've seen a suicide attempt this has been the reason, I don't even bother giving these people the light of day anymore and if a player chooses to roleplay their character like this it just tells me to stay far away from them indefinitely and I suggest anyone reading this thread simply does the same.

I told you on my post what the context was, this his only response to my two page rant about the state of FLD and most specifically the way CCW's are handled. Why in the world would I go around using the community owners words in the wrong context publicly? I'm not making this up or anything.

I reached out to Nervous months ago because of how detrimental the current way the CCW licenses are handled with a very long rant pinpointing the current flaws with the system, the way some member(s) of FLD abuse their positions for power and how it's unrealistic and effects normal roleplayers too who have no intention to go on a crazy vigilante spree and his response was this: I don't know who the person is who created all these ridiculous requirements, especially the exam which was legitimately written not to test your knowledge but apparently testing your "reading ability" where instead of the exam being a tool to ensure you know the laws, it's a tool that purposely tries to trick you and designed to help you fail. Again, I've seen people who RP'd lawyers, DA's and many other law-related roleplayers fail the exam repeatedly. Not only are some of the questions trick questions, some of them are plain wrong, out dated and old. And before you ask me which ones they are? I can't tell you 100percent sure, because FLD does not tell you which questions/answers were wrong or right. The entire system goes against anything a roleplay server meant for entertainment and fun stands for. I would even go as far as to say that it's just plain disrespectful to put something this important behind such insane red tape especially in a city like Los Santos. Don't punish an entire demographic of roleplayers because of some bad apples, make stricter OOC rules surrounding the usage for CCW firearms in relation to being a vigilante so we ICly don't have to suffer the consequences of a few noobs in the past who felt the need to involve themselves into shit they had nothing to do with and abuse their licensed firearms to shoot people. I also never actually managed to find out who's supposedly in charge of this and has authority to change it, it seems like everyone pushes responsibility onto someone else and the problem never gets solved and it ruins a lot of legitimate roleplay.

FLD is ridiculous, the good cause will legit have you sit there and wait for something bad to happen to your character so it can be used as a reason to get the license which in itself is already poor by design. You'll have them try to make you believe it was Nervous who created all these ridiculous requirements but I messaged him about half a year ago with a very detailed reasoning as to why the regulations and process surrounding CCW's is madness and he himself told me he has nothing to do with it at all. The good cause is a joke, way too strict for a city with this much crime. The exam is legit written to fuck you over, it's not educational at all. You're also never told what questions you had wrong, even if you pass it with 18/20 and you could've answered the most important question wrong you'll never be educated on this. You can't improve, you're always left guessing what you did right or wrong and this is inherently counter-productive and dangerous and doesn't make FLD look very friendly. Sometimes I feel (especially with one person in particular) like it's a power trip and they take a lot of pleasure into making things as hard as possible for people. I've seen lawyers, DA's and many other law related roleplayers fail the CCW process repeatedly. The CCW should be more accessible to players and bad roleplay should simply be punished. Stop limiting people's options on a server where having options for your character defines the whole feeling of having freedom to create your own story and narrative for your character.

I didn't mind the old LSRP probation system when it comes to permanent bans, you got permanently banned and you want to come back to the server again? Do something back for the community first, help new players on the forums and discord actively for a good month before you'll even be considered to play again.

Not sure why there are so many complaints, only reason I'm still playing is because of the promise we can travel back and forth between LC and LS. If it wasn't for that I would've been demotivated to the point where I would have quit entirely already. I don't want my character to be landlocked and I don't feel like making an entire new character just to play with the exact same people but in a different city.
