  1. This is possible with the base game prop_ballistic_shield however a custom animation and custom object would be needed to make it work. Firstly, the animations for holding the prop_ballistic_shield do not allow the player to hold the ballistic shield at an appropriate height to cover the head, so a custom animation would be needed for that. The second reason is that the actual hitbox of the shield appears to be one way - bullets hit the shield from the front (i.e. the suspects shooting will hit the shield) whereas people shooting from behind can shoot straight through the shield.
  2. Nobody should try to justify a school shooting, but with some of the personalities in this community, if you leave it as an option someone will try to do it. I'm not trying to use it to stop the project from happening, I think it's a very interesting concept and I'm glad this problem has been tackled early so that server admins / IFM / LFM can help you guys with putting the necessary measures in place.
  3. I don't think making it a restricted crime zone with IC justification is appropriate. There should be a complete blanket ban on anyone attempting it, otherwise you'll try to have someone trying to justify a school shooting...no thank you.
  4. One thing I liked was the publishing of disciplinary history - although I can't for the life of me seem to be able to find them on the forums now. Do you guys have a specific part of the department that does them and is it done at the end of each month or is it just as and when a disciplinary is issued some list gets amended?
  5. I'm pretty sure the fire script has a var somewhere in it for the number of FD personnel online for each fire - but the actual randomly generating of fires was shut down by someone before it ever made it into live.
  6. This is actually really cool. I don't see how this can hurt.
  7. One of the things about ragdolling is that it can sort of be customized, there's a few different types: 0 : Normal ragdoll1 : Falls with stiff legs/body2 : Narrow leg stumble(may not fall)3 : Wide leg stumble(may not fall) (https://wiki.rage.mp/index.php?title=Player::setToRagdoll) We could make it pick between 1/2/3 depending on distance, at longer ranges hitting a 2 or a 3 may mean they stumble but might not fall?
  8. Rest in peace man

  9. Detailed Description In community / faction spaces, there's often a place for CIMs or the little markers to get placed with pictures etc. This can often clutter up your chat or make it difficult to make your own get seen. What about a noticeboard where players could add effectively CIMs, which are text / images? I'm not sure how these could be limited - possibly having them tied to a faction or a business where said faction / business is only allowed X (make it a PP/WP donation thing to add more noticeboard slots?) Possibly moderated by faction leaders, or the noticeboard owner can add moderators to the board? To prevent random people rply ripping stuff off. Can add to the board if you're in the same faction/business/whatever. Something like (I'm a good artist I promise); Relevant Commands/Items /createnoticeboard Then players can add to the noticeboard by going up to it and pressing Y -> new item. How will it benefit the server? Another way for communities to put information out there ICly

    New props for /RB.

It is a well known fact I can't read. Other than that, supported. For long standing static scenes (e.g. cardiac arrests) they'd be useful.

    New props for /RB.

Ideally they should be turned into holding commands like the medbag rather than /rb props. They are clunky and awkward to place with /rb and after the novelty of them wears off nobody is going to go through the trouble of placing them down for scenes.
  12. Reports over 250 words should automatically be closed with no action taken. I can't imagine admins want to pick up a 6500 word essay.
  13. Detailed Description When in an aircraft, you have something that tells you how far above ground level you are. This helps with aircraft separation etc etc. I propose something similar is enabled for /scuba, akin to a dive computer showing your depth. This is important for several reasons, the first being that if you go too deep, GTA will kill you because it's a death barrier. The second is that it would help with roleplay - certain oxygen mixtures in tanks provide different maximum operating depths. Having it displayed on screen would help with the immersione tc. Relevant Commands/Items Just a UI that shows your depth when /scuba is enabled How will it benefit the server? Provides more depth (haha I'm hilarious) to the diving scene.
  14. With the current development effort being put into RageMP, which I'm assuming is just either none or negative at this point, the client for it probably isn't coming out. If RDW is to be a thing it's probably better on the RedM client, although it is in a very early stage of development with the majority of natives not having been decompiled.
  15. What defines one area of the map? The way this is written seems a little bit vague and open to rule 0 discrepancies, which will almost definitely result in people being punished for simply misunderstanding the rules and not being malicious.
  16. So it's not just me that thinks people that have been caught lying on a report and only get a warning / 30 minute admin jail is insane? Nice.
  17. Is it really AFKing or roleplaying on their own? Every time I've been shot on my chars it's actually been quite fun roleplaying the after effects. Surely there's stuff you can do?
  18. I think it's a fair point to raise that people's LEO experience is usually dictated by server events - your roleplay at these calls is generally started by other people doing something
  19. You can be as cautious as you want and still randomly get shot at within ten minutes of logging on, then be sidelined for the rest of the evening. If you're surviving your injuries and getting FD/PHMC RP, the situation is going to definitely be over by the time you're released anyway.
  20. There is a delay. When you get behind a vehicle and the stars align enough for it to read the plate, there's a couple second delay while it tries to retrieve the info.
  21. This is because the MDC ties directly into the game database and reads your car color from there in real time. I very highly doubt that it was created with a play to win intention and just seems to be an unfortunate byproduct of real time information retrieval.
  22. Detailed Description Right now, tactical teams from PD/SD use snakecams as a method of gaining information prior to a breach. They're a little fibre optic camera that slips under a door frame and can be panned around. Right now, the way this works, is that a tactical team will designate someone to snakecam, who will then /pbreakin, enter the property after doorshouting (( snakecam don't shoot )) and hope the person inside reads the chat and doesn't just open fire. What I propose instead is a /snakecam script you can type at a property entrance, that would create a camera on the inside of the property (to get around GTA V rendering, TP the player just underneath the entrance and set them to be invisible. This camera can then be panned around with the arrow keys but not moved, effectively replicating what is seen. When a snakecam is active at the door, add a scene tag that's visible from say within, 5 metres ** small fibre optic camera visible under the door frame. ** or something similar. Relevant Commands/Items /snakecam - starts and stops the script. How will it benefit the server? No need for someone to enter the property and try to describe the property. More immersion for those involved and doesn't disrupt the flow of roleplay with someone shouting (( snakecam don't shoot )).
  23. I played MTG back in 2009? when it first released after Kevin's SAMP videos on NGG. Stopped playing after they moved to LV.
