  1. I imagine it'd work for every faction with /uniform - how might it working for factions without it?
  2. That's fair, but that relies on the information being relayed OOCly, especially if there's no properties on file for that character on the MDC.
  3. It's not necessarily an issue, only when it is pushed in a way that is powergaming. For example: - Police officer stops car driven by 16y/o. - 16y/o evades. - 16y/o is RO of the vehicle scriptwise. A warrant is put out for their arrest. - When arrested, they claim powergaming as the vehicle wasn't in their name 'RPly' and was their parents'.
  4. Or RP it as their parents' (who don't actually exist as characters)
  5. Detailed Description As it stands right now, factions have to maintain either a spreadsheet or a forum topic with clothing IDs. This is unwieldy and goes out of date with clothing changes. Allow faction leaders (rank 12+?) to save their current selected uniform to a 'preset' and give it a name a la the current uniform naming system. Then, add a new tab in /uniform to allow faction members to select the different presets like the default tab, but just dynamic. Relevant Commands/Items N/A, see above. How will it benefit the server? No more unwieldy faction uniform ID threads, all handled in game - this means that when clothing changes etc are made, threads don't have to be updated as they are either automatically applied to the ID by the script (/fixoutfits) or done in game and the preset updated for minimal impact to faction members.
  6. Recently @Mescalero and I were in a shootout where someone took probably 3 or 4 magazines to go down from a heavypistol and a glock. If this is actually a result of HP stacking and not desync, this needs to be nerfed.
  7. I had a 2080TI as well in my previous build. I used MSI afterburner to limit power to the card to 50%, this stopped it from going over 70C which would make the fans eat shit.
  8. Factions should give a lot less leeway to people that are convicted / terminated imo. There should be a lot less free namechanges offered out - I think they should only be offered out to genuine fuckups, not something malicious like a very questionable shoot or corruption.
  9. In my probably close to 3 years in PD I have seen this weapon on a non-cop ONCE. And it hadn't even been fired. They just had it on them.
  10. The weapon's damage is still terrible and is outclassed by a pistol.
  11. Bumping this with the implementation of the recoil script. The SMG is a versatile weapon that has uses - from a video that was shared with me from the test server, the recoil given to the MP5 will just put it dead in the ground as a completely unusable weapon. https://streamable.com/swr2jr Its damage needs to be buffed and its recoil should be minimized.
  12. There should be a middle ground in my opinion. Before the points system, we had Andrew Conway. Andrew Conway had over 100 felonies. His MDC page took more than two minutes to load his charges.

    were you fbi in 2011/12?
  14. Is the boat sync issue fixed where you'd spawn a boat and by holding W it'd just turn you into a submarine?
  15. I had to reduce the power on my 2080ti to 50% when playing RageMP otherwise any temperature over 70C would make the fans spin really, really loudly.
  16. > 14 year old shoots at SWAT with AK > 14 year old killed > /b "wtf that's not realistic i'm 14 i'm reporting you for dm" > 13 year old robs three people with a pistol and shoots one > runs from cops > is tased > /b "wtf i'm 13" > 16 year old squares up to police on grove street after two officers were shot there > tries to get physical, is promptly put in their place by a beanbag shotgun > /b wtf i'm a kid that's unrealistic I could go on. These are all situations I've encountered on this server.

    /triage command

This would be an ingame visual representation of triage tags used by medical personnel in the event of a mass casualty situation.

    /triage command

Short description: Triage command for medical personnel to allow management of mass casualty situations easier. Detailed description: Add a /triage [playerid] [green/yellow/red/black/clear] to a player that will be displayed in their /examine or above their head. This would allow people to make triaging at scenes 10x easier. This is a visual representation of triage tags that are used by medical personnel. Commands to add: /triage Items to add: Some form of way to visually see what tag has been applied to a person, be it through /examine or over their head. How would your suggestion improve the server? When Fire Department personnel have to respond to the 10th MCI in Jamestown that day, it'll make management of the victims easier which means roleplay will be more fluid and enjoyable for everyone involved Additional information:
  19. i just hit plat does this mean i can change my summoner to LFT
  20. In my time on this server I've seen at least 3 factions fall to ERP. There have probably been more.
  21. Which doesn't really automate it anyway because you'd need to retrieve the location and calculate the proximity based on who you think was there?
  22. From a technological standpoint, I can't see an easy way to log this. But I might be wrong. Here's my thoughts: How do you determine if a player is spending time with another? Proximity? When the server hits 700 players and there's a 200+ person event going on, the server is going to spend a lot of its time performing proximity checks and then logging those to the database. How frequently? Every 5 minutes? What if you walk out of range for 5 seconds as part of a scene? Okay, randomly? Well, anything less than 5 minutes can add and quickly become costly. Randomly between 5 and 10 minutes and if you hit the upper edge of the scale it might be too long and not tracking enough data. What if you track it based on text? Chat is already stored, and there's no defined way to determine who's speaking to someone else. If you use proximity again, every time someone sends a message, log in the database who was present. How you do this presents one of two issues: 1, you risk entering a lot of rows for a single chat message (e.g. you're next to Jim, Bob and Alice and send a message. The database has 3 rows inserted, one for each proximity message to each person. Or, you enter one row and have Jim, Bob and Alice saved as a JSON list inside that one row. That means we have to do JSON parsing on top of the hundreds of thousands of chat messages a day. But then again, I might be missing something.
  23. Are the armpits fixed in these?
  24. Our radios at work update location every 5 minutes, and then immediately once you hit your red button. So it's definitely possible.
