  1. Slightly off topic but you can definitely progress in factions without being a part of a clique. It might be hard, but it's definitely do-able. I managed to get Lieutenant in PD in the height of its nepotistic(?) leadership, and if I can do it, anyone can.
  2. Inside a city it'd be accurate within a range, but not pinpoint.
  3. Short description: Remove the /niners > mark location on map. Detailed description: Right now, /niners > mark location adds a pinpoint location on your map to where the call came from. This removes all skill and fun from any search and rescue style calls. It should be removed. But Westie, you ask, why not just ignore it? Because sometimes other people don't, and then you're given a pinpoint location within 5 minutes of the situation occurring. Commands to add: None. Items to add: How would your suggestion improve the server? Provides some challenge and reward for learning the map / finding people in a search and rescue. Additional information:
  4. How would private EMS factions work with LSFD's EMS division? Say for example a call about a GSW comes in. I respond, a private EMS responds. Is it a case of whoever gets there first gets it? If that's the case, it's going to become a race to get to scenes first and an overall nightmare to manage, which will definitely lead to OOC tension and conflict which I don't think LFM will want to manage. It means if I don't get to a scene first, I have no roleplay because my sole purpose in FD is a paramedic. I play in the mornings when there's 1 call every 2 hours if you're lucky, so if I'm unlucky enough to get those snagged up by private EMS companies, it could be days before I actually get a call.
  5. The last RPQM report I posted had a month between the last report (of three) and the conclusion. In total the report took just shy of 3 months.
  6. The guns aren't counted as an inventory item for law enforcement and therefore can't be dropped via the script.
  7. Short description: Buff the damage of the SMG / MP5. Detailed description: As it stands, the SMG / MP5 is one of the worst guns in the game. It does barely any damage, and a pistol can kill you faster. This has been compounded by the nerf to damage at range, rendering it effectively useless against any other weapon. The MP5 is a good gun that can be used in a lot of situations - mainly things such as CQB and say for example where you are entering a confined space, such as boarding a boat. Commands to add: None Items to add: None How would your suggestion improve the server? There would be another effective weapon in play which would be useful for both illegal and legal groups. Additional information: Prior to the nerf, the SMG did less damage than a combat pistol. If this is buffed, please don't revert it to its old damage.
  8. I haven't done any form of proper illegal RP on this server and at this point I'm afraid I'd be too bad at it.
  9. This is very difficult. Testing features on the test server sometimes isn't indicative of the load features will undergo while on live. For example, the offline SMS system worked perfectly on the test server, but then when presented with 700+ players it caused an unnecessary strain on the database. There's also the issue of edge cases that can't be accounted for. Unlike most software with an input/output, a lot of game features depend on how the players use them - you can't possibly account for every single thing a person might do with these features. You can throw people at it to try and test behaviour, but it won't cover everything.

  11. Yet cops getting shot by these crowds is fairly common. It's more of a deterrent to prevent the crowd from trying to mob the officer if anything.

I think it was Seattle or a large west coast city had a wave of blue flu during some of the protests where a large portion of them called out at once and left calls unanswered for an entire night. There are also cases of retired on duty, where cops sit in a parking lot doing the bare minimum so they don’t become the next national headline.
  14. A big issue with riots - maybe not the more recent ones, but definitely the ones last year - is people creating throwaway characters to get people in trouble. I remember the riots at the city hall, I CKed three people in one riot. Why? Because they scriptwise went down to a baton strike and did /me dies. Is there any way for admins to check throwaway characters?
  15. I don't actually think there's a way to remove sharks. I had a quick look into the natives and there's nothing that immediately stands out. Sharks themselves aren't synced, but their spawn radius is - if there are multiple people close together when one person triggers a shark, it will trigger a shark spawn for all of them - that's something that's happened quite a few times to me when I was a lifeguard and as part of the PD's dive unit. In fact, there's even a bugged bit of the ocean where sharks spawn more commonly and it has killed quite a few people (around the yacht): Plus, look how cute they are!

Open the .storage and your chat log will be there. Copy and paste this somewhere to back it up just in case. Alternatively, you could probably paste it into a text document and find the bits you need.

Unless you're dropping them off at a hospital within a couple of minutes of them getting stabbed, the likelihood is that they're either gonna bleed out in the back of your car or they're gonna be dead as you rag them around to the car and let their juicy red stuff leak out on the sidewalk. But nobody ever RPs that.

  21. Hi. There's a weapon in GTA V called the Smoke Grenade Launcher (https://wiki.rage.mp/index.php?title=Weapons), that looks like the actual grenade launcher, but is supposed to fire smoke at the point of impact. Before 1.1 the weapon didn't actually do anything - although that might have changed with 1.1 with the fire extinguisher now syncing. Would it be possible to implement this as a 40mm option / alternative less lethal (if it does in fact spawn smoke like its namesake says)? If it was as a 40mm, this would be the equivalent of the 40mm launcher most LEAs use: Rather than downing you instantly on hit like the taser, possibly https://wiki.rage.mp/index.php?title=Player::setToRagdoll with option 2 or 3 (may not fall) to add some fairness into the deployment of it?
  22. This mod is an FPS killer. I'm honestly not sure it'd be worth the trade off.
  23. RE8 is amazing. It's like RE7 + RE4. I agree with @Rum that it's not as intense, but I really like the action in it...even if the enemies are very obnoxious in Village of Shadows. There are mods that fix the common issues I think, e.g. No flies on the sisters because they kill your FPS, and the FOV issue.
