  1. I mean. Do your best to recreate it in singleplayer at the least? I don't see a problem with it if it's just for the aesthetics I guess.
  2. Suggested this before and would suggest it again. Yes pls.
  3. If you're role-playing a girl, jail RP can be pretty dead, that's for sure. At least when I was last jailed, I was lucky to catch 2 others also in jail at the same time as me but that was once or twice during a 2 week sentence. Other than that, I've seen many sceens of all the fun stuff that happens in jail on the men's side and while they don't have guards online the entire time, the guards are quick to hop on during events.
  4. I'm down for letting most people roleplay whatever they want as long as their roleplay doesn't really affect others. You wanna RP Tokyo drifting assassin cat girl? Go for it. Just don't go looking for trouble and don't drift your cars around the ghettos. You wanna roleplay a gangbanger on the pursuit for cash and respect? Cool, just don't start shooting up random clubs and robbing people on their yachts.
  5. Probably too many stability issues. Can't imagine all these tree objects + cars all congregated in one spot like Paleto during events.
  6. The name doesn't matter. The CK permits aren't there innately. The CK perms are for groups that don't show fear or attempt to muscle in on larger, established factions despite having smaller numbers. This prevents "conflict factions" or factions created to attack and antagonize another faction. People are acting like any official faction can CK them without sufficient reason which isn't true. There is a process and there needs to be sufficient reasoning just like a normal CK application on another player.
  7. Yeah we just meant like in addition to not power gaming, you'd need logs to prove you did store the item where you said, otherwise the item would be reolplayed as on your person regardless. This cuts out the ambiguity of if somebody is telling the truth or not. Similar to how houses and stashinfo works. No info in your stash? Staff places them for you. No screens showing you left your ID at home before a shooting? Then it's on your body. A report isn't needed every time. You can ask if they have it, if they say "No" ask for logs and proceed as if they didn't have it. If they can't produce logs or screens then you can report if they're still uncooperative. A coded object would require a lot more items in the database. Easily over 1000 items.
  8. Adding more tiers of group is just gonna have people complain about different things. Why did they get official group and we're group? Why are they mega faction when we're just a faction? Etc. The difference between unofficial group and faction is so stressed over. People think that just because you're a group, you're liable to have your faction CK'd for no reason when that's just not true. From my perspective, unofficial groups is a way for people to Jumpstart their faction before they apply for an official status. This means if you have a concept and people willing to participate, you don't have to wait several days or weeks in order to get approval to roleplay your concept. This means more time role-playing and less time waiting. On top of that, if the concept doesn't work out, or people don't find interesting, they can close it and save a bunch of work for IFM. This means a non-existing faction can get "official" immediately because they probably had their application process in the works, just like in the old system how the faction needed to be approved before it could operate, the members of the faction could choose to apply for an "official" faction without starting an unofficial thread. This also means factions can have their application in the process, but choose to make an unofficial group thread while the application is being reviewed, leading to some factions being approved seemingly over night. I dont think new factions should HAVE to go through an "unofficial" process if management thinks it's a safe bet. If somebody meets all the requirements and applies for an "official" status and their faction and concept is strong enough, why not. It doesn't mean they have free reign to CK other groups freely, it's more so that IFM probably thinks the faction can do well, or the faction is something the server could greatly use. Pls stop making such a huge deal over these statuses and giving them more power and prestige than they really have. 2 cents.
  9. This could just be a rule or something. Since an ID is a daily item, unless the other person roleplays it and has logs or screens of them leaving their ID behind, then it is objectively on their person. This sort of logic is kind of applied elsewhere too, saying you stored some drugs in your car somewhere specific or etc.
  10. You can already do this with the radial menu by presing "U". It brings up 10 animations than you can remove and place your own. Yeah you might have more than 10 favorite animations, sure. But I think you can just add onto this already existing system rather than implementing a knew one.

    Bank Money

If it's not a huge issue to implement, sure. When I have to clip videos or send screenshots, I don't like people seeing my bank money and maybe PG my wealth.
  12. The furniture system has a search function. You search "Chair" and every single item with the word "chair" in it comes up. Sometimes animations that seem like they should be in the same category are split up, or some animations are in the wrong category. Support.
  13. Seems like this might just make the entire safe system and breaking into homes, obsolete.
  14. This is..ridiculous. Nobody needs to provide you a screenshot of their properties lmao. First of all, seven days is way too short for most people who have actual lives. On top of that, sometimes random important life events happen and players might be unable to request an leave of absence as well. The current "inactivity times" are just fine. I don't even believe people logging in to keep properties is even an issue here. Your tax solution is messy and OOC taxes are a massive no-no here. Taxes are not going to make people immediately sell their properties either. This entire post is just extremely messy and you're assuming everybody is a property hoarder, but I think a completely valid reason here is that...what if people actually live in most of these homes? GTA:W has grown a lot, and the new property rules were implemented because this growth was expected. I haven't been super up-to-date on how many homes PM is adding every day, but I imagine it's been a minute, and there might be a few handfuls of buildings in Los Santos that aren't scripted in yet. Is it possible that only very few players are hoarding properties, and the majority are owned by people actually roleplaying, considering that GTAW has doubled it's average population in the past year? I think the real solution here is for PM to do what they can, checking homes for players who do log in the minimum amount to keep the property. For players to keep their eyes open and report characters that have unrealistic properties, like rich people owning apartments in Davis and Strawberry. Or keeping their eyes open for people who they even suspect might be logging in the minimum amount for properties. Attacking players and putting the responsibility on them is not gonna work, working with PM and doing what we can is what will work.
  15. I like player reports being public because it's a great way to learn about specific conditions that may be permitted despite what the rules say. It's also a great of way of learning simply what NOT to do. Personally, I like using the report section to keep "tabs" on players. If somebody was reported for deathmatching by several people in the past 30 days, it's usually a good sign that I might want to avoid this player, if possibly icly. I don't agree with staff reports being public since staff already tend to get bashed and flamed pretty frequently as it is. I think it can also ruin a staff member's image, and would encourage anybody to challenge a specific staff's ruling simply because they have made a mistake in the past before. Just like in the current player reports, people would be citing a person's previous mistake as a reason to challenge them, rather than the actual situation and it's outcome. Lastly, I think a big reason staff reports are kept on the down low is because the information involved in a staff report, and priority. Some reports can be incredibly long and contain so much private information that prone to metagame, more so than the average player report. Also, if the staff member has made a massive mistake, it could take a long time to comb through all the information as well that might be incredibly sensitive. And as mentioned, I think that having the staff reports sent in personal messages lets them get investigated and resolved quicker.
  16. Yeah but before their aggressiveness tweak, people would just chase them down spamming left mouse and nothing would really come of it. I think as long as they can be tweaked to fear gunshots, the it'll be fine. They wouldn't disturbing you mid-hunt and a warning shot to scare it off makes sense considering some California's do carry air horns just for coyotes. I think this is really the only option here at the moment.
  17. I like the idea of being able to "spectate" your own cameras. Aside from that, I don't see the massive need for streaming websites to your in game interface and just putting more stress on the server already.
  18. /showvstats or something. Yeah I like this. Could even use it when getting pulled over for LEO.
  19. I think the problem with only having two casinos is that, with time zones and personal lives, two casinos just isn't enough for the server. I think another big issue is so many places offering gambling on the side that maybe don't even have gambling permits or something. I can remember a handful of times, going to random open businesses and seeing blackjack and poker dealers. I really don't believe in enforcing businesses on an OOC level, really. While I understand having a bunch of casinos is annoying and unrealistic, enforcing ooc limits and scripts and "opening periods" is not how to respond to them. I think there just needs to be a stricter policy of gambling, and large fines for businesses that operate without gambling permits, or even risk their business being closed.
  20. You really hit all the talking points here. There is a huge gap of between working and upper middle class roleplayers. For new players, there is definitely an allure to grind for an Elegy Retro, and a Mirror Park property. And some of these people do sacrifice roleplay for the sake of the cash grind and it kind of is an issue at times. My response to everything? So what. Do I wish that GTAW more accurate reflected the division of wealth and poverty in the USA? Sure. Am I going going get mad because somebody got home from a long day and wants to roleplay their very average character in their Mirror Park home with their Elegy Retro? Nope. Does everybody need a complete, fully developed, flushed out character. Nope. Even if it'd be nice, and even if that's the sever standard I'd love to have. Some people are going to chase that deep, rich character development and some people will continue to play their seemingly average rich kid. At the end of the day, it is a game and a server that people get to be whatever they want to be. There are no preemptive measures to be taken, no way to really prevent these half baked, middle class, money chasing, roleplay deprived characters from existing until they've already sprouted. Just keep reporting the ones that break rules and let the others live in bliss.
  21. A handling mod just for dirt bikes is such a big change for a niche roleplay category of GTA:W. Maybe if every car had their handling modded, we could throw this in. But by itself? Nahh.
  22. Ah yes. I can't wait to get shot by a cat-ear wearing vigilante with a pink and white gun. Not needed at all.
  23. This + other things said here maybe. I can see these items going for a lot of money illegally, a jammer for the correct brand of alarm. I think they'd have to be fairly rare an expensive to prevent a stupid surge of breaking requests. I really like the idea of alarm times being extended, and staff having the discretion to set the alarm off when they see fit. Iirc, staff already has this ability in other scenarios, like if the burglary is talking too long or the burglars are careless, loud, and destroying the home, then staff can NPC calling the cops or something? Pretty sure I heard that somewhere but correct me if I'm wrong.
  24. Coyote aggressiveness was amped up to prevent people from fighting coyotes with their melee iirc. I don't know exactly how well their behaviors can be changed but I imagine just making them afraid of gunshots, and aggressive when attacked with melee should be fine, if possible though.
  25. No. Every house would suddenly have a camera and San Andreas would be a worse surveillance state than the entirety of the United States. If this is to be implemented, I think it should go through some sort of application process. Basically making it so not every house gets a camera, but people who actually need it do. People who have had recent robberies or have live in an area that has had recent robberies, people who have been victims of crimes such as assaults or muggings, people of interest like certain LEO or something, people with a certain properly value, etc. There needs to be some sort of filter so that way not everybody suddenly has a CCTV camera and can see anything and everything that happens on the street. Yeah, realistically, if you have enough money to set one up you totally can. With things like Ring, it's incredible cheap to set up a camera. However, I can already see every single house having one, and then every event turns into "Why did you do x when there's a camera there?" etc.
