  1. I mean...cats are great.
  2. Right now, if you want to go on a long boat ride it's pretty tiring to have to hold down W, stopping every so often to RP or talk. Would be nice if we could use the cruise control and autopilot to have a relaxing boat trip without having to hold the button down.
  3. Number of speeding fines/failure to yield could add to the cost too
  4. This could also add more fun to jail RP, letting prisoners prepare food for chow time.
  5. To touch on this from another perspective, the training should include what details to include in CIMs so that detectives and forensics get the info they need without having to find out what admin it was and then hunt them down for more info in the days following.

    add horse

Yes and then add some horse script like training it which upgrades the speed
  7. I think the script makes things a bit too "instant" a lot of the time. /call 911. Police. Robbery. Robbery. That whole call can be done in like 3 seconds when in reality there would be some delay as you talk with the operator and they then pass it on. Might give criminals some breathing room if the process was a bit slower.
  8. The issue of people hopping out and instantly smoking a single cop before they even stepped out is a problem but this seems like overkill. It's worded too broadly imo. People are going to be double-thinking about EVER firing upon a cop now which will probably lead to unrealistic IC decisions (not shooting when you should). Did you mean to apply this rule to traffic stops only? It doesn't say that.
  9. So I have been looking for a property to buy and I noticed that serious effort has been put into mapping out certain places, but that they are pretty much deserted and hugely under-occupied. One example is the "Meteor Complex". Firstly, it's not that obvious that there are places to buy there. They're not on map.gta.world for starters. The only sign that something might be available inside is the little "smart tp" circle on the ground. This takes you into the lobby. Then there is an elevator which takes you to a floor. And then once you enter a floor, you can run around inside and check each door. So I had a look around and pretty much every apartment in that place is available for purchase. This seems a complete shame. Clearly somebody spent time making this place and now it's empty. So, i'd suggest the following: 1) Make it obvious on map.gta.world that there are properties to buy here. 2) Reduce the prices: $250k is kind of crazy. They should be $100k at most. Just a sample of what's inside, unoccupied (there's more floors I didn't even look at, and the "Meteor Complex North" which I would guess will be the same): [12:06:46] For sale - $250,000 - /buyproperty to buy this property. 10. What are people's thoughts on this? I've noticed lately more and more graffiti on police stations and not in kind of sneaky areas which you could maybe do quickly and not be seen. It's in pretty high profile spots. It feels odd to me that somebody could actually do this in what should be a building that would ICly be surrounded by LEOs coming and going, along with cameras all around. Some examples: New PD building, with cameras everywhere: Vespucci HQ, right above the doors Like sure, you can get away with it in GTAW because there's actually not many people about. But it just feels kind of odd that you could get away with this ICly. What should my character think about this? That these buildings are basically abandoned and so locals have started tagging them up?
  11. Nice changes for sure, but to me by far the biggest thing holding the county back is the lack of easily-accessible properties that don't require entering a lengthy OOC competition through property management. Convert some of the fairly useless motels into multi-interiors that have like 50 interiors to buy and the county would seem way more alive (also pressure would reduce on PM).
  12. Not sure about everyone else, but for anywhere that has these internal doors with handles or whatever, they are always bugged for me and I have to /fixdoors. Couldn't this just be done for us every time we enter a place?
  13. Some also perma wear nitrile gloves too. It's really stupid.
  14. Agree with liq, a lot of aggro is caused by painting all "illegal RPers" as the same. A small number of bad illegal RPers can get everyone up in arms saying robberies are out of control etc. I personally started feeling this way when two of my characters got robbed by the same person one day after another. He was later banned for something unrelated, but I got the feeling this guy was just some random-lowqualityRPer who by chain robbing was just making robberies look out of control. I think we need a better a system of controlling how much ONE person or ONE group can rob, especially if you're not in a faction, who tend to have higher standards and keep a check on their members.
  15. Maybe a full wipe is a bit harsh but there could certainly be at least some more consequences to add more of a sense of risk and danger to being CK'd. I don't agree with only doing it in certain CK situations though, it should be for all CKs. So it would also apply to cops.
  16. Some nights, like weekend evenings, are absolutely insane with regards to crime, that you probably wouldn't believe unless you saw the 911 calls flying past in chat one after the other. At those times even some of those don't even get a response because the city is pretty much on fire and everyone is already on a scene: officers down, multiple shootings, brawls, robberies going on. Best time for 991 calls is mornings, afternoons or early evening while it's fairly quiet.

    Add Cigars

I feel like it would need new anims making for it? If this is just a prop. And making those anims is probably quite hard.
  18. So I was looking around the city lately on a new character: they are not rich, kind of working class but NOT a criminal or gangster. Honestly I was kind of shocked at just how FEW places there are to call home that have not been turned into ghettos. I look around Hawick and Burton for a moderately priced apartment. Okay, there's some that are like 70-90k there if you look hard enough. But the walls are literally covered in graffiti and there are CIMs around multiple doors saying they've been kicked in or whatever. One building even had a CIM saying that there were multiple gunshot marks in the wall. I mean...okay? The area doesn't seem THAT bad, where has all this crime come from, would my character be like, constantly at risk living here?? So I move on...check out Morningwood. That seems like a fairly moderate area right? Not rich, but not a ghetto. WRONG! Again graffiti all over and broken in doors and shady people standing about asking why I'm there and generally being aggressive. Ummm okay. Next Vespucci....honestly what was I even thinking. That's full on ghetto now, literally graffiti telling you to go away if you're not "local" even though it's right by the beach and shops. So yes, pretty shocked at just how hostile and ghetto almost every part of the city has become. I assume there is not enough "space" in the areas where such things would make sense, so it has slowly spread out across the city.

    VScrap Usage

Maybe just a rule is needed. Much like you can't log off for 30 minutes after crime, you shouldn't vscrap any vehicle you own for two weeks after doing crime in it.
  20. If your top speed ever seems to be getting capped, try typing "/sp off". I believe it's to do with cruise control/autopilot being buggy and kind of "ghost applying" a speed limiter. So it's worth an /sp off if you ever notice such a thing!
  21. The drug system is one of those things that really highlights the conflict/indecision/identity crisis the server has always had between being heavy roleplay and RPG. Somebody who is mainly interested in heavy RP and who wanted a character into drugs, could just do emotes of using drugs and their effects without a scripted item. Attempts to add scripted stat boosts just don't align with heavy RP. The only demand for drugs that creates is from people who prioritise "winning" pvp encounters over RP, which afaik is something we don't actually want.
  22. Got bored and tried this and I have some suggestions on tweaks to make it a bit more appealing: 1) Extend the rental time of the van. The van that you rent has a pretty short timer which demands you pay more to extend it, and if you don't it just vanishes into thin air mid-delivery. Seems counter-intuitive that we're meant to be roleplaying and "not rushing" but then there is this weird timer which makes you rush. Also dumb that it can just vanish and leave you in the middle of no where. 2) You don't even have to drive in the rental van to do the deliveries, which seems like an exploit. You can just rent the cheapest van and then do the mail deliveries in a sports car if you want. Not sure what the fix is there. 3) It's nice that there are post offices in Sandy and Paleto, but they still give deliveries to the city. Makes no sense that somebody would go into the county for some county mail delivery RP and the only options are to deliver to Forum Drive. Make the county post offices only generate county addresses, and the city post office only generate city addresses. 4) Considering the low payments, capping people to accepting 4 letters for delivery is a bit stingy. Perhaps raise it to 8.
  23. I can report that the past few weeks I started getting a lot of random crashes. And now they have stopped.
  24. New helicopter rules? Imo we have to balance everyone having fun. Most of the time, being the victim of a robbery is more of a chore than fun for legal characters. Losing your phone which had all your contacts. Being passive and scared ICly to show fear and do whatever BS they say. Maybe if it happens occasionally you can be motivated to do that, but if it happens a lot it's just like "ugh not again" and it becomes hard to care or play along more than is necessary to not break any rules. Then having to RP trauma or whatever after (even though it's the third time this week). If we were to properly RP effects of these robberies we'd probably give the police way more powers now and longer sentences. But in the interests of FUN criminals serve like 3 hours (don't even have to be online afaik) and you can even DIE and literally just respawn and be back on the streets without being forced to stay in hospital or anything. So I think a little bit of protection for civilians is fair.
  25. Would be awesome imo. A few thoughts: I would not let player mechanics view the hidden reliability percent though, that would be metagamed imo. Also against disabling the system for FD and LEOs. They should (and actually ICly do) maintain their vehicles just as everyone does. Imo a breakdown should be quite rare IF the car is young AND it's maintained regularly. You should only start getting problems if it's old and/or you never take it to a garage. Not a super fan of adding more breakdowns to modded cars either, I think people will hate that because people who do mod their cars tend to care for them quite intensely, way more than an average person looks after their generic unmodded car.
