I never liked the whole lockpick thing. Every time I fancied trying a low level simple thief, the thought of having to visit pawn shops to check if they had lockpicks in stock and pay 10k for them put me off. Just feels too metagamey/RPGish and weird to me.

I think voids are sometimes necessary but they're perhaps too common. I think this because we're at a point where if there's a shooting people are instantly like "it will probably be voided" and they don't really take it seriously.

I have started to notice this too. I feel like it's a rageMP bug. Sometimes there is really strange lag, like if you're walking and move the camera to change direction, there is about a 1-2 second delay (normally it's very smooth). And if I rapidly move the mouse around there will be these stutters. This is in places where normally everything is very smooth. FPS in interiors has also dropped recently.

The problem with all these rules is that they get put into place years ago for obviously dumb events like somebody punching a guy with a gun to death while he was typing an emote or something. But then they get applied to every single situation in which somebody doesn't react by instantly just freezing and complying. The original spirit of the rule ends up being lost.

Well if IFM want to aim for a "universal prison experience" then we'll have to sacrifice realism for that. Something like having a section where both pods can communicate but not have physical contact. If it would give pod B something to do/people to talk to then we sacrifice a bit of realism for some extra RP. Otherwise I don't see ANY solution.

The server last night made me think of this post. Leaving a club and the outside is chaotic but contained by 2-3 cops. Then gunshots maybe a block away so the cops speed off. As soon as the cops are gone, a brawl breaks out. Then a taxi arrives to pick somebody up during the brawl, and an (m) ends up stealing it. And honestly I can't even react realistically to all that because it has just become so common.

I think you're wrangling with the thought of should we fight the current state of things or just accept it and find fun where we can. My view would be that as "radreaper100" you're powerless to make any change. So it's not worth getting agitated over, you should just enjoy what we have.

It could pretty much work in the same way as the trains do. Something like "the bus will be here in 5 minutes". Then when it arrives you can press Y to "get on" and you're moved to bus interior, then every like 30 seconds it reaches the "next stop" where you can press Y to get out. It's a nice idea but it would probably kill actual REAL buses.

People still wouldn't park there. They want to park right next to the doors. IMO this is a perfect example of when you should just /vpark your vehicle and roleplay that you parked it properly. Much simpler solution!

My feeling is that there are LOTS of guns but they remain in certain circles due to IC or OOC connections to suppliers. Anyone without those connections struggles and believes they are rare.

Yes, it would be unthinkable that an LEO would have to do something not fun sometimes. Seriously people, stop calling 911 about boring things and ruining their fun.

I found that most of the stations using Zeno have become unlistenable now, they keep cutting out. Kinda bad 😕
