Los Santos Insider | Driving in Los Santos - A Risky Venture
Parade replied to onlydemia's topic in Online News
Name: guy Comment: I was driving through downtown the other day and a cop drove into me going 80 miles an hour. It was where the on ramp to the highway was blocking his line of sight to oncoming traffic from his left. These cops are reckless drivers too. Could've killed someone if they were going the other way. They luckily hit my passenger side when it was empty. Shit caved in at least 4 feet. They gotta learn that just because they have lights and sirens doesn't mean they can drive a hundred miles an hour in the city. -
Pretty good analysis. As a guy who started the server RPing with Arcani Group because I chanced to meet the owner on RDRP, I enjoyed my time RPing for Arcani Group. The biggest issue was since I was a new character I had literally no cash. And because we often did not have the cash flow income from being bouncers at every nightclub, we had to rely on roleplayers to pay us individually for our services. This meant I got paid hardly nothing. If you are doing any kind of security work that is not "public" like ProTech (or the now defunct G6), you will kinda get very little money. That's why it's probably more recommended for older characters with more accumulated wealth. You are spot on with the CCW issues when it comes to personal bodyguarding. The majority of the time you are dressed nicely and inconspicuously. It took me 6 months to finally be able to convince myself that I would qualify for a CCW. I had been told that I would have to lie otherwise on my application about being in false scenarios where I was beat up or robbed. That was 6 months of conceal carrying a firearm without a CCW. Now that may sound bad, but the majority of the time it was on private property, so it was okay. The biggest issue was having to juggle the gun into a lockbox to transport it between locations, which sometimes I forgot to do.

I want there to be more script support for investigations for police and citizens (private investigators). I am fucking sick of having to /report "hey someone broke into my car under cctv pls tell me description of who did it" or "Did this guy have gloves on can I get his fingerprint?" or "I am inspecting the door this guy broke down can I see what tool was used?" Etc. I want to stop asking admins to tell me how some bad guy did something. It annoys me that law enforcement roleplay is just cops speeding around the city looking for stuff to do. And they only accept camera footage as evidence. They won't ever take anything else unless one of them did it. The court system seems like a joke to me. Cops seem like a joke to me because of this.

The only voids I've really seen was people misplacing and punching someone (which happens multiple times a day) or someone is driving 200 miles an hour and slams into another car, which promptly is sent flying 50 feet. There's no reason to roleplay either situation because they were both unintentional. When it comes to traffic collisions there's usually no point in roleplaying them as cops usually don't give a fuck unless someone's been put into the downed state, which is not too often unless they're on a bike.

Ignore all these posers. I make up my backstory as I go along. Makes my character fit what I want to do at the time and then I stick with it. Much more fun. All these other people are just posers and are new to the RP game. Professional RPers don't require backstories.
