  5. Short description: As the title states, keeping shot players inside vehicles. Detailed description: As it stands currently, a player that is shot enough to enter the injured state will fall out of the driving vehicle and drop to the ground if the car is driving, or onto their car or next to it when it's stationary. While visually quite funny and giving an obvious cue that the player is downed, in the end it's rather goofy and completely prevents injured passengers to get out of the scene alive, albeit wounded. So I suggest that when in a closed vehicle, injured or dead parties should be stuck inside the car until removed by another party. Not only would this give post-shootout RP opportunities for the injured or fleeing folks, but a vehicle slammed into the wall with a shot individual sat in the drivers seat rather than an empty vehicle with its driver fifty feet behind it, dead on the street would surely be more visually appealing to LEO / FD RP as well. Let's put an end to the goofy way corpses pop out of a vehicle when they get downed. Commands to add: A command to remove injured players / dead bodies from a cars seat would be in order. Items to add: / How would your suggestion improve the server? As mentioned before, better post-shootout RP for all parties involved and more realism. Additional information: I don't know the limitations of the script, so I don't know if this is even possible.

  7. GREYMAN SANITATION ® Made up of previous municipal staff (e.g. waste removal-, construction-, transportation workers and mechanics), GREYMAN is an organization that specializes in waste removal, sanitation, as well as general cleaning. Functioning as a union, it conducts business independently from any government body, instead, it offers its services through the form of private contracts. Its origins derive from a lack of protection by local law enforcement, as well as the poor pay offered by the government. Its leadership consists of the union council, operating separately from the rest of the organization in the field. The actual contracts are settled by directors, acquired by department leaders. Due to the current circumstances in Los Santos, the organization has its involvement with unofficial, as well as borderline criminal bodies. In accordance with its namesake, GREY-man, they’re politically grey, centralized and rather aimless in its ideology, often operating with whichever group it can settle contracts with. UNIFORMITY Members of this organization are mostly recognized by their GREYMAN patch & uniform, which primarily consists of a reflective vest, reflective rubber trousers, grey wear, as well as their respiratory devices which, in combination with other face-wear such as sunglasses, cover almost the entirety of their faces, only adding to their criminal-like presence and appearance whenever seen. In addition to the typical uniform, in direct correlation to the equipment and utensils they typically use for the removal of paints and hazards, members are a-typically seen sporting a black hazmat/rubber uniform, equipped with industrial respirators, as well as GREYMAN patches stitched into a reflective vest. Their vehicles usually consist out of vans and trucks that they normally use to carry around cleaning products, or are simply used to further assist the workers in their duties. All of their company vehicles are colored GREY. LOCATION GREYMAN has it's main headquarters in SOUTH LOS SANTOS, around Strawberry avenue / Elgin Avenue. Owning most, if not all of the industrial buildings in the area. Poorly rehabilitated and under constant renovations, these warehouses are mainly used in their operations, be it legal or illegal. OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION We are looking to portray a band of state workers that have banded together in order to protect each other from gangs and other organizations, as the LSPD doesn't prioritize much, if at all the municipal laborers. This also gives us the leeway into taking a more ILLEGAL approach in our contracts as we distanced ourselves from the government body. Most of the tasks GREYMAN performs, are mostly morally grey, acting against extremes such as murder and pacifism in order to reach its goals. Though, if one steps on its toes, it will retaliate in a similar manner. Entry into the group occurs through a forum-based private message @Spine @Manio @Dementus @crabmstr to the current lead, and we will simply contact you afterwards on DISCORD. Players interested in joining the faction must consider that the roleplay provided in the group is mostly consisted of CLEANING (garbage disposal, cleaning up graffiti, etc.) and TRANSPORTING CLEANING PRODUCTS; illegal contracts such as PROTECTION and FIXER contracts for other illegal organizations may happen rarely. Owing to the collectiveness of this group, malignant members who purposefully wrong/betray the rest may be subject to acts of vengeance (PK, CK).

  9. As mentioned above in the title, I'm confused myself and just wanted to clear some things regarding long /me's and short /me's. I mean some people have told me that longer /me's are considered as a good roleplay and short /me's are considered as a bad roleplay. So I just wanted to make it clear that are longer detailed /me's are a sign of good roleplay, or clear, concise and shorter /me's sufficient? Example: /me slots his firearm. or /me chuckles. (considered subpar/bad rp) Or unnecessarily longer /me's with just filler details only to add spice or flex your English language skills. In my opinion, /me's should be just detailed enough that your character's actions are clearly portrayed without much room for misinterpretation. Would love to hear others opinion about it. Ps: I keep my /me's short and relevant.

  10. The southern end of Central Los Santos was initially laid out as a single-family housing to serve the influx of middle and upper-lower class workers that flooded into the City to support the surging shipping and manufacturing that was booming in the late 60's. Families with a nice home, a small yard, and a vehicle were a common sight. However the incoming economic downturn of the 70's saw the area take a dramatic turn. Many of the homes fell into disrepair as the families that had occupied them were forced to relocate because of the economic crisis. This led to an influx of mainly lower-class tenants making the neighborhood their home. By the tail end of the 70's the neighborhood was mainly made up of Afro-Americans and Mexican-Americans. with crime City-Wide exploding, it was only a matter of time before it arrived in the area. In 1979 one of these gangs came into existence. The Davis Avenue Boys & Grove Street Boys banded together naming the group South Side Kings and began to engage in small-time Drug Dealing, Prostitution, Auto-Theft. The area itself was something of a battle-zone between other gangs that had sprung up in the area. In 1985 the group was renamed to South Side Grove St. Crips continuing the same illegal activities, however several 'legitimate' businesses were added to their resume giving this new incarnation more legitimacy. Being able to more easily launder ill-gotten goods and cash through legal businesses they owned and operated was a tremendous boon. The area once again turned into a battle-zone with numerous other cliques and gangs springing up all around South-Central Los Santos. Though recently the nephew of OG C-Macc, Quincy Mack aka G-Macc has taken upon himself the task of pulling the Grove St. Crips back from the ashes. The group has begun to reform and re-establish itself as a power player in the neighborhood. Taking up many of the former illegal activities of the Gang. Anton 'AK' King's uprising. Anton King was just like any other youth who found himself being involved in the streets of Los Santos at the age of 19. His father was found guilty for a double murder leaving Anton to turn to the streets in an attempt to make a living for himself. This ranged from drug smuggling, drug dealing, small time illegal weapons trading, house robberies and even extortion. Quincy Mack, the current Shot Caller at the time quickly took a noticing to Anton's dedication to be a true member of the Gang. Throughout Anton's time and dedication, Quincy Mack hastily put Anton to the test in order to see if he had what it takes to become a Shot Caller. Throughout the years of doing various criminal acts, Anton quickly found himself rising throughout the ranks. The relative peace of the ethnic Little Seoul district of Los Santos was shattered yesterday when three members of a notorious South-Side gang known as the Grove Street Gangsters broke into one of the neighborhood homes. The three were arrested, when contacted for the names of the perpetrators and the victims there was no immediate response. The Los Santos Police Department did issue a press release stating that they take the dangers of gang violence seriously, and this is just another reminder of the dangers these Gangs pose to our youth and the safety of law-abiding Los Santos Citizens. May 21, 2002. Four members of the infamous Grove Street Crips Were arrested today on charges that they were involved in last weeks double robbery and homicide of two individuals who were talking home down Brouge Avenue. The arrests were the culmination of an ongoing manhunt seeking to bring the instigators of this heinous crime to justice. When contacted for a statement the Los Santos Police Department Special Gangs Unit Supervisor told the Los Santos Times: “These latest arrests were another heavy blow to one of the more violent gangs in South-side Los Santos. We are confident that with these arrests the so called 'Grove Street Gangsters' will cease to pose a threat to the city and it's inhabitants.” New April 14, 2021. A chaotic scene on Elgin Ave. outside Café Italia unfolded as various locals got involved in a street brawl that snarled traffic and caused units of the Los Santos Police to be sent to the scene. Among those that were identified were four members of the so called; 43 Grove street Crips. While no arrests were made this may once again be a sign that the area may about to become a battleground between street gangs that are seemingly making a resurgence in recent months. When contacted for a statement the Los Santos Police Department Gang Unit had no immediate response. April 17, 2021. Just after lunch the relative peace in the Davis neighborhood of South-Side Los Santos was disrupted. The notorious region which is known for it's clashing street gangs once again earned it's reputation. A brawl broke out among the local street gangs just near the Grove Street LTD Station. The brawl turned deadly as shots rang out shortly after. The entire ordeal leaving one dead and one injured. The victims were known members of a one of the local gangs known as the Brain Dead Crips. When reached out to for a statement the Los Santos Police Gang Unit Supervisor was quoted as saying: "Now that the summer has started in earnest we can expect the violence from street gangs in volatile areas to increase. We are doubling our efforts to keep this violence from spilling into the rest of the city. " Davis Ave Boys Davis Ave Boys Aka. You are also required to follow a strict set of both IC/OOC rules. 11. Depends. Want to portray your character smoking? Just /me lights up a cigarette. Want to showcase the Zippo that saved your character's life in Vietnam? /me dug into his pocket for a pack of Marlboro Reds and a Zippo lighter. He bit a cigarette and started the lighter up with a finger-snapping trick. Detailed emotes are a good storytelling tool, but when it's just some meaningless-in-the-bigger-picture action, you should keep it simple. IMO, and I'll fight anyone who disagrees IRL. EDIT: PSA: Stop emoting out thoughts and feelings. Please don't ask why not.

  15. Short description: Changing how the /harvest command works with weed plants. Detailed description: When you harvest a fully grown weed plant you get the weed but have the chance of losing the seed. Due to generally how difficult seeds are to come by on the server, I think this should be changed. Instead of having the chance to lose the seed, I think it should be changed to having a chance to lose the weed, but you are always guaranteed to get the seed back. Commands to add: N/A Items to add: N/A How would your suggestion improve the server? I think it would prevent ruining the market, but at the same time make sure the grower still has a chance to make a profit and keep on with their growing RP. This change would mean that instead of losing RP and money, they lose time instead, as the process is pretty slow. I think this would be a fairer alternative. Additional information: N/A

  17. Hi @SCANDALOUZ I get what you're saying, but your points in your original post were very unclear. I had to read it, then read pages of comments, then re-read your original post. That said, I'll take your word for it that there are plenty of players who will have their characters rp out detailed offensive scenes when they're doing it to another character, but then they'll hide behind the rules when IC circumstances occur that put their character on the receiving end of the same offensive roleplay. Yes, hiding behind the rules to escape reasonable IC consequences of one's actions is a bullshit move. It's an abuse of the rules, and IMO players who engage in offensive roleplay, and then say they're offended by the same offensive roleplay so it can't happen to their character, should be reported for shit rp. The issue is clearly not offensive roleplay, it's such players trying to get out of the consequences of their actions. They want to swim in shark-infested waters, and even bite other sharks, but not get bitten by sharks. This is bullshit. That said, The rules should not be changed because that will open the door to even worse abuse. Consent, consent, consent, first, last, and always. If the rules are changed so that players cannot refuse rp in some circumstances, then jackasses who want to ruin other people's rp and get off on their demented power fantasies will strive with all their might to twist IC events and misinterpret the rules to oocly put one over on another player/character. This cannot be allowed to happen, even if players who abuse the rules get away with it. Some possible solutions. CK the bastards. If they refuse FTB for the same shit they've been doing, CK them. Report for poor roleplay and/or abusing the rules if players refuse FTB for the same shit they've been doing. Work with staff so they understand what's going on, so when you report they understand. Work with IFM to identify such people, and refuse to consent to their offensive rp unless they state then and there that they consent to having the same thing done to their characters, and screenshot it. If then refuse in the future, then report them for rule abuse/shit rp, CK them, and refuse any of their alts entry to organized crime factions. @DLimit wasn't suggesting anything new, and he wasn't even suggesting anything. He was stating that murder and rape are both horrifying terrible violent crimes, and he didn't understand why one was so casually committed in the server while another, even between oocly consenting players, was banned despite being previously allowed with constant post by post ooc consent. Of course the answer to his question is that some very sick people gravitate toward servers that allow it, and then they inflict their sick garbage on as many characters as they can before they get banned. It's a serious problem, and that is what staff is protecting the server from by banning it completely. The staff probably changed the rule on that because they had to. Stuff like that has to be smashed down as soon as possible or the server will become a disgusting cesspool.
