  1. This thread documents the development and background of Sebastian "Bandit" Gonzalez. A victim of gang culture in America's low income neighborhoods. City Boys - When one time swoops. Sebastian Gonzalez was born in Vespucci to a single mother, Maria Gonzalez. Through absence of a father and a lack of mentorship from his mother he fell to the wayside, involving himself in street life and pledging allegiance to the Culver City Boys 13. Sebastian's family was a broken one, his father spending life in prison for double homicide while his mother busted her ass working day and night to support her son. The area he was born into was not one of the upper reaches of society, it was quite the opposite. He hailed from a tight, claustrophobic condo he lived in with his mother. His father, Adolfo "Shifty" Gonzalez, was arrested before his son could get to know him, found guilty of slaying two individuals in a gang related shooting. Adolfo and Maria Gonzalez were love struck high school sweethearts in their early twenties. After a particularly drug fueled night, Maria became pregnant with her first and only child, whom later would receive the name "Sebastian." Adolfo Gonzalez was a subpar student who barely passed high school, spending more time in the streets representing Culver City Boys 13 than he spent focusing academically. The birth of Sebastian in 03' brought fear, yet happiness, to the couple. Adolfo may have had a son on the way, but the gang put him where he was and turning his back on them was a poor decision, so he continued to be a hitter for his group, which he gained a reputation for doing. Unluckily, DNA evidence was found at one of his many rival gang fueled shootings off a cigarette butt. In court, he tried his best to win the case, but the jury convicted him guilty of the murder of two teenagers. With his father behind bars, his mother Maria Gonzalez juggled any job she could manage to land, whether it be for a day or a year. Struggling to support herself and her child, Sebastian was usually left to being baby-sat by Maria's parents, which he enjoyed thoroughly. As he went from infancy to early childhood, the boy wandered the neighborhood in search of friends, and he found the younger brothers of the gang affiliated men in his neighborhood. To the disapproval of his family, Sebastian was usually kept on a tight leash, unable to spend much time in the neighborhood because of his mothers fear of losing him, something she was deathly afraid of after losing her husband to the judicial system. As the transitioning stage of adolescence washed over Sebastian, he felt a spark of debauchery inside him ignite. Tired of watching his mother struggle financially, he began hanging around more frequently with neighborhood kids whom associated with the local gang, eventually leading up to him associating with the same clique. He was learning two educations, one from his high school, the other from the streets. He figured that if he divided his time between both, he'd be twice as smart as everyone else. As he grew up, the gang began taking care of him and his mother, providing food, financial assistance, protection, and a family like atmosphere to the Gonzalez's. His mother was disappointed in her son, seeing her husbands attitude and stupidity fleshed out before her in the form of her son. He didn't care what his mother thought though, he was the man of the house and what he said goes, or that was his way of thinking. If he wasn't out hustling and risking his life his mother and him would be living on barely enough food to survive like they were some years ago. He realized that it was only a matter of time before he "made" something of himself, only a few more months of painstaking street hustling and putting in work before he rose to a prominent rank in the clique. Still attending his high-school, he stayed a straight C student in school and a straight C banger in the hood, building his name and reputation up in hopes of being recognized by the shot-callers. With a heavy hand and a loud mouth, he believed he was destined for greatness one day, at the top of the pile, a place his father didn't even reach before his incarceration.

  2. The problem is that in GTA world houses will never decrease in value. In real life people take a loss due the area becoming less desirable, a rush to sell so to move elsewhere quickly. A relative has died and they want a quick sale etc etc. GTA world houses will only get more expensive over time while our wages will stay stagnant. IRL wages increase with house prices mitigating the increased price as the real cost hasn't increased that much. The only way the houses stop from being inflated in GTA world is by inactive players houses going back to the market. But sadly everyone will want to make at least SOME profit on a house so the increase always continues. It's accelerated by a limited supply that hasn't kept up with server growth, compounded by the fact half the houses in the game are now locked behind an application system that likes to deem 90% of applicants unfit and not of a high enough RP standard to own a house. Opening up all houses to the free market would help offset the spiraling costs of home ownership for a while, while the powers that be added more apartment buildings (with enterable interiors) and applied other such measures. Otherwise in 6 months the shitty motels in Rancho and Davis will be being sold for 800K+ Spelling is shit I am on my phone soZ

  4. Short description: Introduce a required monthly property payment system through UCP or the in-character government website for purchased properties, similar to what one would do when paying a monthly business lease through UCP or business license payment on the government website. I would suggest this being 3% of the property's purchase price. Detailed description: Add a monthly expense/tax based on the purchase price of a home (not the market price) to every house, even if it's your first property. This would help to simulate the added costs of purchasing and owning a home. The existing UCP framework that's used for property leases could be used and payment required every month. Why? To encourage people to remain active with their houses and also add some weight to buying and owning a property. Right now, buying/owning properties carry zero weight outside of the current inactivity timers applied based on donator status. It costs money to own a home. We all pay a car tax to simulate owning a car, the same should go for a house. Commands to add: UCP access or gov.gta.world (If we keep it strictly in-character) method to pay a monthly expense/tax on properties owned by an individual. How would your suggestion improve the server? I feel that a tax that scales with purchase price will help to deter people from spending stupid amounts of money on a house without any repercussions. That way, a player has to actually weigh the decision rather than just shelling script money out just because they have it. This tax puts the burden on the player buying the house. It costs money to own a house, it's not free. If someone wants to spend $600,000 on a house, they are going to be making a fairly hefty monthly expense/tax payment to go along with it. This would simulate general house maintenance, utilities, property taxes, etc. I think this would be a good compromise for the current dilemmas with the housing market. Rather than simply requiring someone to log in their account to trigger the inactivity timer from taking their house, they would be required to make a monthly payment for their property in order to keep the house. If they don't make the payment within 1 week (Non-Donator) or 2 weeks (Any donator status) of the due date, then they automatically lose the house. The in-game notification system could help to remind people that their payment is due, in the event they may forget to check. This would help deter inactivity in a more active manner, rather than someone just needing to log into their character. Additional information: For those worried about real life situations and not being able to make their payments, I suggest that you could simply contact PM that you would be inactive for a specific amount of time and to make sure your house isn't taken as a result of non-payment on your property tax. Feel free to add or suggest changes to this. I'm not opposed to adding new ideas and coming up with a realistic solution for Property Management to help curb these issues.

  6. This thread documents the development and background of Vincent "Boogeyman" Morales. A tormented soul that seeks out acceptance and love in a world void of such luxuries. Control Machete - Ileso Vincent Morales was born in Las Venturas to Martin Morales and Noni Morales. Growing up in the region gave Vincent a false perception of reality as he was nearby the Strip where bright neon lights promise fortune at a flip of a coin or the limelight of joyous laughter from intoxicated tourists. Vincent's family was one of pride, Mexican influences were prevalent and the flag of his people draped his home. His father often reminisced about his childhood and Mexico, the beauty of the landscape and culture, the people and the great memories his father retained prior to coming to the United States. Unbeknownst to him, his father was nothing more than a deadbeat gambling addict that spent his time getting high in a rundown whorehouse his brother ran. Remarkably, he found his way into the United States in the late eighties through a Pollero who lead him and a caravan of illegal immigrants to the self described "Land of Opportunities". After panhandling and petty robbery, Martin Morales was able to have a sizable amount of wealth to gamble with, something he spent a majority of his time and effort doing. At one of the many casinos Martin frequented he met a bartender named Noni, a gullible Native-American girl who fell for the deceitful cretin, believing him to be a gentlemen. She taught him the basics of English and allowed him to live with her at a studio apartment, a place with where the bad times outnumber the good ones. For every night they spent harmoniously together with the aurora of love in the air there's several arguments nested in the back of their minds, over alcohol or unfaithfulness. Physical abuse was rampant with the tyrannical Martin after news of Noni's possible pregnancy, a doubtful drunk seething at the thought of a woman who remained faithful betraying him, even when he backstabbed her with lies and deception constantly. The birth of Vincent in '87 forced his father to paint himself in a better light, he may have been a wastrel but he was traditional and wanted to raise a strong son. In the view of the public, Martin improved his image and became more involved in their community, spending time helping those in need. Behind the shutters of the studio apartment the trio lived at told a different tale, a baby who was usually left unattended as a depressed parental figure sunk in their woes and downed bottle after bottle of comfort. A scared and abused woman did what she could at work to provide for a baby and a parasite who leeched off her income for his addictions. As the baby went from crawling to walking, the abuse toned down a considerable amount, verbal arguments were more commonplace than a physical encounter. A loner in school, he couldn't find groups to identify with and was always the odd one out, unable to connect with the kids who had a caring family. Adolescence struck, a thirteen year old with a corrosive family life left the boy with a scarred perception of reality. A mother sick of the abuse and suffering brought on by a man she trusted led her to take the legal route, his father getting incarcerated after a savage beating fueled by alcohol. An avenue revealed itself, a desperate and scared woman fleeing towards a new beginning with her parents in the safety of Los Santos, a confused son was brought along to his dismay, a world of horrors soon to unravel. Desperation set in as the boy was quick to realize the difference between Rancho. He longed for acceptance and searched for it, eventually meeting a kid in the same neighborhood with a family unlike any other, for he was given the curse of being shackled to a Sureno set, which to him and Vincent seemed like a divine gift at the time. He did everything ordered by the set, feeling accepted and loved for the first time in ever, unfortunately everything has a price, including the love he scoured the planet for. A branding occurred, the letters 'SUR' plastered across his stomach by a gang-banging tattoo artist on some mind altering drug at the time. He stuck with the gang until the age of twenty one, splitting off and going into hiding after a bloody fight between a rival gang left two of his close friends dead in a parking lot. Rounds were discharged and bullets flew, ending their lives. By chance or luck, he was spared, the rival gang losing three members in the fire fight with one banger spared. The two sole survivors fled from the scene with a dismantled mind and wretched heart. He opted out of the gang lifestyle, going towards the foreign lands of Sandy Shores as the police reported the slaying some time the next day. Fearful of being called a coward he didn't contact a soul, paranoid about the lurking goons that he once considered his brothers, not even his own mother knew of his whereabouts, she considered him dead after a week of absence and ended up taking her own life a month into his hiding, feeling a false sense of guilt within her as she contemplated why she ever reported her husband to the authorities, regretting it. Abuse may have been rampant, but they were together. Many things happened during those years as a Sureno banger, many things he wish he could forget, however, actions speak louder than words, and they surely echo in his mind as he tosses and turns in his bed, remembering the faces and cries of those he hurt in the name of acceptance. A drifter yet again, he found solace after a faithful encounter with a Vago member by the name of 'Sticks' at a bar on the outskirts of Sandy, a place the boy traveled after the horrors that happened four months ago in a parking lot over a dispute about opposing allegiances to poisonous entities. He acted as a father figure who built him up, bonding with the boy for having a similar background in the sense of the lack of a loving father. Vincent followed Sticks everywhere and began dressing like him, acting like him and riding like him, working a legitimate job for two years as a mechanic, saving up enough money to purchase a chopper of his own as time progressed. He joined the Vagos at the ripe age of twenty six, sticking with them like a bee to honey all the way up to the present. At thirty three years old he's determined to dedicate himself to the club, respecting the brotherhood that gave him a family that didn't extort him, brushing away his past with a bright outlook on the future.

  7. Adding the following, from a legitimate POV. I'm not adding it to be a troll. There's basically nothing for people wanting to RP being in a wheelchair. My only suggestion if it's added is to greatly cap the speed. https://www.gta5-mods.com/vehicles/wheelchair-addon

  8. As the officer who arrested you, just so you're aware. It's out of my hands what happens here. I explained the court system very clearly to you and you claimed to understand. I asked again, you confirmed that you wanted to plead not guilty. The District Attorney's office is who prosecutes offenders. I filed all your proper paperwork and did everything I'm supposed to. I wasn't even the officer with the probable cause for the arrest, I just processed you. You've already made a complaint on me on an OOC level within PD but if you feel that my RP was that awful, you're very much welcome to file a formal roleplay quality report with the server. In my personal opinion, it's a little bold to call my roleplay bad when I was very patient with you and helped you out with the roleplay since you were clearly new to the server (i.e. didn't know how to use /do), but it is what it is. I'm sorry that you feel that you had a bad experience with me, but I believe that I made the entire system very clear to you on how it works. I'll post the chatlogs for you so you can re-read them and re-familiarize yourself with our conversation:

  10. Short description: Currently there is a massive flaw in /createdrink script. You can buy a beer which is the cheapest alcohol and you can turn it into any type of drink you want. Detailed description: This flaw alows players to abuse the system and save money. For example someone can buy a beer and /createdrink it into a gin and tonic which saves them money on buying gin. The system should be expanded into classifying what the drink is. For example if you /createdrink using a beer Instead of saying "Corona Extra (Drink) It should say "Corona Extra (Beer)" also using a soda as a base item it makes it into an alcoholic drink giving you % towards being drunk in the system. If someone tries to game the system with this new adjustment then people will be able to see that their gin and tonic says (beer) instead of (gin) as the base drink that was used to make it. Commands to add: None Items to add: None How would your suggestion improve the server? It would prevent abuse and the destruction of liquor shop businesses Additional information:

  17. I absolutely love and will love deaf-mute/mute characters. You don't need to do extensive research, and the questions that you have and may arise can all be solved by a simple google search, and setting yourself up with this knowledge is usually as simple as just reading up for about 30 minutes to 1 hour, and from my experience playing these sorts of characters ends up being one of the better sort of experiences that you can have, because you are already playing with a huge deficit in the day to day life. But then again, maybe it is just me who likes this, as my characters are a frail woman who is absolutely terrified of everyone that is a stranger and clings to those who are close to her and a young mute skater boy, both of which have netted me plenty of good experiences.

  18. Saw people mention that no one RPs janitors, teachers, etc. but the problem with that is that there is no real platform for that. This may sound like a regular rant but honestly, unless we start cranking down on club owners that drive sports cars and race throughout most of their day - nothing will change. That's not the biggest problem but is quite a big one. Personally, I think that Sandy Shores/Grapeseed/Paleto Bay RP is extremely underrated. I'd love more people coming up north for reasons other than buying a trailer and later selling it for 450k or so. Please, you're taking away RP opportunities from the Sandy RPers by owning as many trailers as possible up in Sandy Shores purely to flip them later on. I have seen 5-6 people live in 1 trailer only because there's not enough housing for everyone and most of the trailers are owned by either inactive players or used as stash houses. TL;DR my opinion is that Sandy Shores/Paleto/Grapeseed RP is underrated as hell purely because people think that the possibilities there are limited when in reality that's the polar opposite.

  19. I think a good option for this is to just have a message each time you log in, informing you that you do not have any description set. Also an easier way to examine would be nice, like a command to just show all of the attributes of the people around you in /ame format above their head.

  20. A new GUI script which asks you to set those attributes after the player is done creating his character. (When he creates a new character) And /attributes could get an update with the GUI script. For example GUI box with the following options. Height : Weight : Age : etc!
