  1. Username: notacop Comment: great work from SASP to apprehend the inmate & SADC to work with them in bringing him back into custody, both agencies really showing their skills, love to see it!
  2. And god forbid one of the few legal RPers decide to utilize their PF gun in self defense that'd be fully legal & justified IRL...
  3. Make an OOC ruling that 48 hour holds can ONLY be done if there is valid reasons for it. No exceptions IC or OOC. Because I've seen numerous occasions where people get put into 48 hour holds just because the officers can do so (From an LEO perspective, not naming names, but I've seen it). Even when the officer knows both IC & OOC that they arent going to actually bother with an investigation & just want to lock the character up for 48 hours. Granted it's not as common as it used to be, but it does happen. 48 hour investigative holds are great when they're actually REQUIRED for high risk investigations like murders & such, but more often than not they're just handed out for petty offenses & put a bad taste in peoples mouths. On the other side, it's hard for a 48 hour hold to be effective when it's needed due to most people just logging out for the 2 days until it's over. Unless you get the persons Discord & Forum name to communicate with & schedule RP regarding the investigation, interrogation, etc etc, it's pretty much useless. Especially if said person doesn't wish to co-operate with it. I think LFM should step in & simply make it so 48 hour holds can ONLY be done when absolutely crucial for an investigation. It's a win win for both sides.
  4. Username: notacop Comment: imagine using pictures 100% out of context to shame people over a fucking costume, especially people not even involved in the fucking custumes, blame the idiots who thought it'd be ok to dress like that, not the ppl hosting the event. yall clowns r pathetic
  5. If its obviously trollish graffiti, just ignore it, tag over it, /report for an admin to clear it, /report for an admin to check if whoever put the tag up is actually in a rival gang or a random person, etc etc, plenty of things to resolve this issue instead of locking yet another feature behind ooc requirements.
  6. Keep it how it is. If you believe a tag was made by someone not involved with either faction related to the tag like you say, do the responsible thing & reach out to the other faction & ask them if it's a legit tag or a troll trying to start beef for no reason. "/pm did y'all put up this tag? or was it some troll?" "/pm wasnt us, no" "/pm alright ty" or "/pm yeah it was us" "/pm thanks" Communicate with other factions to avoid trolling, DM & unnecessary drama. Stop putting things behind restrictions over easily avoidable situations. Shouldn't be resorting to extreme violence over a tag anyways. If you see it, tag over it, problem solved.
  7. Love every interaction with y'all, big props for not going the standard "Fuck cops" route with illegal RP & actually providing fun & enjoyable interactions with police. State Parks loves you guys
  8. I agree. The other day I got jumped & robbed by 5 minors on my alt all because she said "Go flirt with someone your own age, dude" after these minor characters were calling her sexy & shit. Of course this was in Davis as well. The issue comes into play when you have 12-15 year olds attacking grown ass adults & spam clicking to win fights without acknowledging the obvious strength & size differences. A lot of them only start RPing their age & size accordingly when it comes down to facing punishments or being tased/apprehended by police. At the end of the day, I believe in realism, however in this case you really don't need to be anything less than 15/16 for the RP to work. Yes, gangs IRL heavily utilize underage children for crimes & recruitment, however you don't need that for your RP. Can easily do the exact same RP with an 16+ character. Cops aren't going to treat you any differently if you're 12 than they would if you're 18 if you're going around beating up adults & committing felonies. At the very least, up it to a minimum of 15/16, anything less than that isn't needed for proper RP.
  9. As an LEO RPer, I think this is a very nice suggestion that as a matter of fact, will bring the illegal & legal RPers closer together if tweaked & implemented fairly. This rule modification suggestion doesn't want the rule to be reversed, simply edited for very specific IC situations. If it's ONLY edited to be "You may only loot a body if said body is a very close friend to your character and your character was witness to the incident in question.", then I don't see an issue, really. This suggestion clearly states it doesn't want the rule in it's entirety to be reversed, simply adjusted to make more sense from an IC perspective. As an LEO RPer, I support this, actually. HOWEVER, I strongly believe that the rule should be that any items taken from said body can NOT be given back to the original owner of said items. It'd be extremely unfair to just loot a gun from a dead faction mate & give it back when they respawn. To keep it fair on all sides, maybe have a log system that LFM/IFM can see for faction discords like the PK/CK war log system they already utilize? Except for what items/guns/etc were taken from whom, basic situation details, & screenies. I dunno. I support the suggestion as long as it can be made in a way that prevents the items being given back to whoever died.
  10. They literally are this simple, they do it IRL in many departments specifically to make communication as simple and direct as possible to avoid blue on blue incidents or letting a suspect get away unknowingly because you're waiting for a description & by the time that description comes through the channels, the suspect managed to casually get away because none of the cops on scene knew who they were looking for yet. This is unfortunately another suggestion that has absolutely zero downsides, nothing but plus sides but will sadly be most likely overrun by negative responses due to it being pro LEO. How dare police have a realistic feature in a heavy RP server.
  11. Comment: If G6 is looking for any PR / Crisis Management, please reach out!! Expert in the field of dealing with #bias news attacking companies! [email protected] Name: notacop Comment: last year they literally shot & paralyzed an unarmed teenager for simply riding his bike in a dealership, 2 weeks ago, one of the g6 guards decided to play rentacop & tase into a crowd of ppl brawling on the fucking sidewalk, which isnt their job, at all, then had the nerve to call a deputy the N word with a hard ER when the deputy told him to stop acting like a cop. wdym "no indication of poor reputation"? g6 has more bad moments than good moments my g
  12. Name: notacop Comment: for fuck sake, just strip G6 of their badges, guns & any form of authority they may have. Theyre monsters who lack the mental capacity to do their job. this isnt the first time theyve fucked up this bad, get rid of them already, for fuck sakes why has it taken this long? first a kid gets paralyzed for life because he was riding his BICYCLE, now they kill a cop in COLD BLOOD? holy fuck, LS Government, DO SOMETHING
  13. I think y'all are missing my point entirely. My point isnt that theres not enough cops to handle calls, it's that theres too many calls being ignored when there IS enough cops to handle them. Example; Kid gets stabbed, someone calls FD & PD/SD. FD arrives, PD/SD arrive, get out, see theres no action, then leave. No investigation, no statement taking, nothing. How is this not a problem? Personal example; I got robbed & beat half to death, someone called 911, no response. Except for 5 cruisers that drove by, slowed down, noticed I was RPing my injuries accordingly, and yet continued to drive right on by ignoring it all together because theres no action, Y'all can say there isnt an issue with ignoring calls all you want but the fact of the matter is there's unfortunately a large amount of LEO RPers that only respond to calls if it gets them action. Just because there's a very small amount of LEO RPers responding to smaller non action related calls does NOT mean there isnt a problem. Call 911 regarding an assault & battery, trespassing, etc etc, see how long it takes to get any sort of response. (You'd be lucky to get any at all, I had to wait 3 hours one day.) Now, call 911 and say there's an active shootout. Boom, instant response. If you can respond to a shooting you can respond to a trespassing call & head to the shooting if it's that serious when it comes in. Don't just IGNORE small calls in the hopes a big one comes. I straight up got a citation for misuse of 911 when reporting a crime & asking why they just kept driving by. When I was RPing an LEO I made it my personal goal to respond to mostly the small stuff, because I noticed it first hand how often these small calls get ignored.
  14. Only took two goddamn years. Bout time. Grats bois.
  15. Thanks for the insite on it everyone, helped me see a different perspective for sure!
  16. I agree, its fine if youre stuck on a scene and all that, but like tonight where 10 different cruisers clearly not responding to anything just drove by without responding to the call, theres no excuse. If youre on duty & not busy, you should respond to any call, and if a major call comes in while your on a smaller call, then obviously it should take priority and you go handle it. Yknow?
  17. The amount of times police just ignore calls is ridiculous. For example tonight a kid got stabbed and was bleeding out, so we called 911. FD arrived first, meanwhile literally 10 /different/ police cars (both marked & unmarked) drove by casually, completely ignoring the call. But the second shots are fired in the area? Half the cops on the server were right there. Same with most non violent calls, robbery calls, etc etc. It's a re-occurring issue & you see it every day, frankly its ridiculous. It's clear most LEO's here ignore every call that doesn't result in immediate action such as pursuits or shootouts. They seem to only want action, which isn't fair to the regular civilian RPers that become victims due to suspects & criminals knowing nothing will happen because the police seemingly only exist to get into pursuits & shootouts. Why does this happen & what can be done to prevent it? Police shouldnt be ignoring basic calls. This isn't a cops n robbers server, you cant just ignore the "boring" calls like this.
  18. I cry for ultimate realism, then cry more when that means police get more stuff to stop me from going on my 75th DM spree of the day.
  19. The thing is, it's hard to break that cycle when those that try to break it are cast out of the faction or forcefully removed, and the others that wish to break it are scared to speak out in fear of punishment. Despite being told countless times "If you speak out, you wont be punished" it still happens. That excuse is just a way to weed out the wolves from the herd of sheeple.
  20. Before I begin, I want to say I know I'm more than likely removing any chance of my return to SAPR if I ever return to GTAW & RP to begin with, probably going to receive a lifetime faction ban as well, but y'know what? I don't care. I'm sick of having to stay silent in fear of being punished for speaking out. To answer your questions; Yes. I literally spent 3 weeks trying to inform them that it was ONLY the fishing section that was suspended, NOTHING else. I provided multiple forms of proof contradicting their statements of it being suspended fully, sent them the EXACT ruling of the case, and even when seeing the evidence right infront of them, we were told we were not to enforce ANY part of HAPA, or we'd face IC AND OOC punishments. You're 100% correct that they read 5 words and assumed. Despite the proof being shoved in their faces that they were wrong, they still decided to act like the entirety of HAPA was suspended. How do you expect us to do our jobs as Park Rangers, when the very thing our jobs revolve around (HAPA) is not allowed to be enforced in any aspect what-so-ever? Without HAPA, we're essentially just a generic police agency. It's been almost a year since HAPA was shut down & not allowed to be enforced in any aspect. Looking through my Discord, it's been like this since June of 2022, probably even longer than that. Every time we've asked if it's being done, we've been met with the classic "We're working on it, be patient". As far as I'm aware, it's STILL "shut down" and "being re-written" despite ONLY the fishing section having any flaws. This is the exact reason so many of us left, we lost faith. It became clear that specific high ranking members of the faction did not truly care about the faction & simply held positions of power to have positions of power. Nothing more, nothing less. Despite countless efforts from dedicated members such as myself to show them the errors of their ways & try to help fix the issues, we were simply told "Be quiet or you'll be punished", which, as mentioned previously, happened to me. I was a Sergeant, and was forcefully OOCly removed from my position & had to go through the entire process of going from Senior Ranger all the way back through the Corporal & supervisory training process to even hope to get my supervisory position back. All because I did not stay silent about issues, instead, I spoke out about them, hoping to get them fixed. But no, god forbid you don't want to stay silent about crucial OOC issues that put the faction in a bad light. Yes, OOC actions resulted in my removal from an entirely IC position, which I had zero IC punishments to even make it make sense. My character had no IC issues that led to her demotion, I was essentially forced to either make a new character or just figure it out. Ultimately, I chose to leave instead a few months later. Forced two week LOA & forced demotion all because I refused to keep silent about the OOC & LFM related issues that was affecting the faction. To be clear, the majority of SAPR & its members are great, they've made great improvements in recent months, I love them, they're like a second family to me, but OOC factors, attitudes, & power hungry motives have been ruining the enjoyment of it for far too long now. Enough is enough. Ban me, faction ban me, do whatever, frankly, I don't care. I refuse to stay silent any longer.
  21. Eyyyyup. Hard for Park Rangers to do anything Park Ranger related when the entirety of HAPA was shut down despite only a single part of it being a violation (fishing). Add on the fact that we were told we'd be punished for trying to enforce the parts of HAPA that WERENT deemed illegal or a violation of rights.... Hard for SAPR to do SAPR things when they aren't allowed to do SAPR things. Cant really blame SAPR for doing more general police duties than Park Rangers related duties when they really aren't able to do Park Ranger related duties due to OOC restrictions. IMO, OOC Restrictions & Interference in factions needs to stop, because all it does it kill them off. If an issue happens, then go from there, but to nerf things to the ground before issues even arise is just... no.
  22. I'd love to see this "legal agreement" that means Sheriffs are more "Police" than Rangers are. Rangers are State Police Officers, both IRL and in game, so your wording makes it seem that you think that Rangers are not full police officers, when they are. SAPR, LSSD, and LSPD are all full police agencies, none are more "Police" than the rest. They're all equal in terms of law enforcement, just with different primary focuses. If more people went & RPed in the parks, the Rangers would be in the parks more as well, it's not their fault that the county is a rather dead RP zone in every single RP server that includes a county. Both former SAMP servers had the same issue in regards to county activity, nearly all GTA 5 related RP servers also have the issue of a rather dead county RP wise. Who cares if SAPR is pulling people over? Its part of their job as police officers.
