  1. To argue that as well, like Jorg said, Both SASP & SANFIRE go through extensive police training. The same training as PD & SD. They're trained to have the mindset of a cop, to deal with any situation that can occur. SANFIRE & SASP are definitely trained to have a mindset to deal with those situations you're describing. Keep in mind I have no issue with preventing transfers to stop the back dooring. Everything I write here is my own personal opinion.
  2. To counter that, whilst it is fair. On an IC standpoint, State Parks and San Fire are both State Police agencies, where-as PD & SD are City & County respectively. So on an IC standpoint their training in relation to policing is just as in depth as both PD & SD. As someone that used to run recruitment in SASP, it was becoming an issue where people would apply for SASP, go through the recruitment, training, and academy process specifically to immediately transfer out after getting a full LEO position. Essentially wasting everyone's time, in all factions. As far as I'm aware (Correct me if I'm wrong), it was a joint decision to restrict transfers to prevent this. The transfer restrictions as I see it are more OOC than IC. However I do personally agree that people in Supervisory & Command positions in SASP/SFM should at least be considered for transfers if they wish to do so. But as it stands right now I don't see any harmful or negative intentions for the restrictions. Whilst yes, in the past there was definitely problems in terms of working together, I haven't really seen much of that recently. All four agencies have been working closely with each other in recent months with little to no issues.
  3. Been experimenting but so far I've got 3 prompts that work out pretty nicely "A 28 year old female Park Ranger wearing a San Andreas State Parks uniform and baseball cap. Brown hair in a bun, light freckles, sleeve tattoos and glasses. Holding an M4 rifle. Standing infront of a white police truck with "SAN ANDREAS STATE PARKS" in green text on the side. Mountain background. Drawing. Grand Theft Auto V style" "A female wearing a San Andreas State Parks uniform. Wearing a black baseball cap and vest with "POLICE" written in yellow text. A silver five point star police badge with a blue circle in the center. She has brown hair in a bun, light freckles, sleeve tattoos and glasses. Standing in front of a white Ford F-150 police truck with a bull bar and with "SAN ANDREAS STATE PARKS" in green text. Holding an M4 rifle. Mountain background. Drawing. Grand Theft Auto V art style" "A female wearing a California State Parks uniform. Black baseball cap & vest with "POLICE SA STATE PARKS" in yellow text. Wearing a silver 5 point star badge with a blue circle in the center. She has brown hair in a bun, light freckles, sleeve tattoos &glasses. Standing in front of a white Ford F-150 police truck with a bull bar & with "SAN ANDREAS STATE PARKS" in green text. She is holding a hunting rifle. Mountain background. Drawing. Grand Theft Auto V art style"
  4. Don't turn this into an LEO vs Illegal RPer debate topic. yes, it's abused.
  5. People seem to really like the earlier Natasha Monroe ones I posted so here's a few more
  6. Absolutely not. Drug HP is abused way too much as it is, this will only skyrocket the issue tenfold.
  7. Show me where in the GTAW continuity it says that San Andreas is a tropical desert island, please. It snows in the Nevada Desert, as well. Nothing about San Andreas as a modern city in 2023 should realistically be able to have this amount of police murders, robberies, mafia hits, extortion or gun violence on a DAILY BASIS. Or an economy that can somehow turn a $25,000 run down methhead styled trailer into being worth $200,000. If we're talking realism, San Andreas would be a marshal law state with military personnel on every street corner by now. Yet here we are, all accepting of it, because It's. A. Game. As a matter of fact, the server continuity even states "San Andreas, while heavily influenced by California, is it's own state." Also, this is Joshua Tree National Park, which is what Senora National Park is based off of; Little bit of research will show you, snow in San Andreas isn't unrealistic what-so-ever.
  8. Give it a rest already. It snows for one week out of the year, deal. with. it. +1 for the suggestion.
  9. It snows for one week out of the entire year. Deal with it. Talking about realism as if the server isnt plagued by insane crime rates & people treating the server like GTA online or driving like it's need for speed.
  10. Really doesn't matter. You're talking about "realism" as if we don't live in a city with an insanely unrealistic crime rate & economy. If we're on about realism, snow is the LEAST of our problems. We live in our own state, with our own laws, with our own economy, and our own weather. It only snows for one week out of the entire year, you can deal with it.
  11. You do realize it snows in California...every year...right? Maybe not LA, but you're acting like the entire State is snow free which is simply not the case what-so-ever. It also snows in the deserts, especially the Nevada Desert... so your argument here is even more invalid.
  12. It used to be the "meta" for robberies, hence why it's against the rules. People used to roll up, force you into their car, then drive you to the middle of buttfuck nowhere to take everything you have & just leave you there. It was over-done & just cringe in general so it was banned. Make it so you're not allowed to rob firearms & watch how rapidly the robbery rate slows down. People are only robbing for guns, nothing else. I got robbed yesterday and had a $10,000 watch on me. They saw I had no gun and left, like.
  13. No going to the county to rob people if you live in the city No going to the city to rob people if you live in the county No kidnapping people for the soul purpose of robbing them /rant
  14. The sad fact that this is 100% true lmao. Just make it so you cant kidnap people or force them into your car to rob them, problem solved. And you cant drive to the county to rob people, and vice versa.
  15. Comment: bigusdickusthethird Name: if that were to happen i would hope the DAO would investigate instead of SD IA. otherwise it'd be another "we've investigated ourselves and found no wrongdoing" case.
  16. Having it locked behind admins is a bad idea though, if we can get something implemented that doesnt need admin intervention, it'd be better. Admins are busy people and are more often than not tied up on other stuff, minor reports usually take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour to be handled depending on whats going on in game. Nobody is gonna wait that long just for an alarm.
  17. We definitely need alternatives for lockpicks, either that or put a hard cap on how much you can sell lockpicks for. 5-10k for a tiny piece of metal is fucking ridiculous.
  18. This is dope as fuck, good shit. Finally people RPing trailer trash properly instead of the typical "hurr durr im redneck yeehaw" trollish nonsense.
  19. Hello, I've been thinking for some time about starting up some sort of Demolition Derby league or simply an event for it, however I'd like to see if there's any interest into it. For those that don't know, Demolition Derby is a sport where you basically take junker cars, strip them down to bare metal (different classes for the cars as well), put them in a closed "ring" or "arena" & intentionally crash them into eachother, with the last car running being the winner. Endurance Derby is the exact same concept, except instead of a "ring" it's an actual oval track, with the winner being whoever finishes a set number of laps first, or the last car running. There are barely any rules in place, some classes have more (pro-modified) & some have only a few (bonestock). The most rule in every class is "No drivers door hits". If you've seen Banger Racing in Europe, Endurance Racing is basically the same thing, however less extreme. Here are some videos of context to showcase derbies & endurance derbies (spoilered due to embed size); There's a couple of high end motorsports leagues already, which are too expensive to join as an average joe, however, as a derby driver & derby team owner IRL, derbies are extremely cheap in comparison. I spend roughly $5,000 CAD a year on derbies, and that's just because I own a team & buy several scrap cars for the events throughout the year. This includes the transport, building time, driver payments, entry fees, etcetera. My idea is to bring a form of motorsport to the server that literally anyone with a license can participate in regardless of their income, as long as they can afford a dirt cheap junker car. I was thinking of doing a one off event at the Vinewood Dirt Track to see the general interest, but if there's more interest, I'd jump into making it a full league with multiple events & such maybe. Before that though, I'd like to ask the community for a general level of interest in this type of thing, first, so, pop in the comments with your thoughts!
  20. I'm gonna be honest, I was originally very skeptical of this concept, but after looking at the screenshots & interacting with y'all a few times, I'm impressed for the most part. I hope you guys go far & keep up the unique concept. I can't speak for all of SASP, but I for one enjoy this concept, adds a unique twist to our county patrols, keep it up!
  21. Detailed Description Simple, change the NPC Garage script to allow it to be used when no shops are open to the public (with /bad & such) Because at the moment, if someone is using a player owned garage for private modifications, the script still detects that it's "open" & as such nobody can access the NPC Garage. Nothing wrong with private modifications, of course, but the script doesn't detect it as closed, which it should. Example is right now as I write this, not a single player garage opened, but someone, somewhere is using one for private modifications, & as such, the 5 people waiting at the NPC Garage can't use it; It's extremely annoying. Please make it so a shop needs to be publicly open for the NPC Garage to not work. Some people come in game when there's no player garages opened, & they can't log in during normal business hours, which is why the NPC Garage was added afaik. But if someone's using a player garage for private modifications, now the people that benefit from the NPC Garage can't use it, which defeats the purpose of it. Relevant Commands/Items Tweak the NPC Garage Script so that in order for it not to work, a player owned mechanic garage has to actually be open to the public. Because right now when player garages are being used for private modifications & such, the script detects it as "Open" even when it's clearly not. My suggestion for a fix? Make it so that in order for the NPC Garage to not be useable, a player business has to have a /bad & blip on the map. I'm no coder but I think it could work. How will it benefit the server? Quality of life, should have been this way from the jump but I'm not sure how to make it possible, other than the advertisement idea.
  22. Urine/Fecal matter being forbidden, yeah sure, why not... But vomit? Why would that be not allowed...? If you cant handle some vomit I think GTA RP might not be for you, not gonna lie. No offense. There's things that need actual attention, and vomit ain't one of em'.
  23. Username: NotACop Comment: I mean, good shit for SANFIRE puttin' in work but, IDK, seems dude was just havin fun, not meanin 2 hurt nobody, deffo a dumb call but i wouldnt go as far as callin him an arsonist or nothin, maybe if he was closer 2 residential places or somthin, either way, nice 2 see sanfire out here puttin in work
  24. After seeing the footage & reading the replies, let me just say this... If you believe those officers should be CKed, report them. If LFM feels like it's CK worthy, they will be CKed for it. It happens more often than you think. If an LEO dies due to carelessness & utter disregard of their own life to the point it's CK worthy, LFM usually CKs them if they get a report about it. I've seen it happen several times. Cops going solo against a gang, dying, then being force CKed because of it, etc. People think reporting is "weak" but at the end of the day, that's what it's there for. If you want the cops to be CKed for the claims you're mentioning of lack of fear & the likes, make a report against them & LFM will investigate & determine the right outcome. Ranting on a forum thread doesn't help solve the specific situation. If you feel they broke the rules? Report them.
