  1. It is a discussion before it becomes a suggestion because there is no point in suggesting this if everyone hates it.
  2. If y'all vote yes or no, please include it in the poll above because it makes it easier for me and the staff team to see approximately who agrees and who doesn't. Thanks!
  3. Ladies, Gentlemen and non-binary folk, I present to you what I think is the ultimate fix to: - the large amount of boddies dropping every day - the large amount of shootings that happen every day - people going pew pew for no reason whatsoever - people overescalating shit for no reason whatsoever - the inconvenience caused by all of the shit above. To me, to you, and most importantly to LSFD and Coroners. Brutally Wounded - a mechanic that has simply worked for years on other roleplay servers that I have played on. Why is this a thing? This is a thing because on roleplay servers you can not kill another character without proper reasoning - if a character does not immediately impact your character's life, safety, progression et cetera, then you can not kill that character. What does it do? Brutally Wounded is a state that a character is in after their health drops down to zero. This state can either have a static timeout of five minutes, or it can depend on what was used to wound the character. For example, after a fist fight a character can be wounded for a minute, but after being gunned down they can be wounded for as long as ten to fifteen minutes. This mechanic erases the memory of the incident that led to it. Meaning if a character gets knocked out, they will not remember how they got knocked out and who did it. They will only be able to know how it happens if a witness tells them the how, where and why. What does this actually accomplish? A few things. First of all, after getting knocked the hell out, your character will immediately lose all memories regarding the incident that led to them getting Brutally Wounded - as stated before. This will eliminate the need to kill a character in order to avoid consequences, therefore it will eliminate the need for LSFD and coroners to process another worthless body that brings nothing roleplay wise. Second of all, if there is a CK application filed on a character, then killing said character becomes a matter of an admin overseeing it and confirming the kill with a command. This will reduce the amount of killings on this server, but also will make sure that any and all CK attempts are well thought out, roleplayed properly et cetera. Seriously, only an admin will let me whack fools right now? No. Current rules allow admins to give players who break the rules or fail to roleplay fear CKs as a punishment. This rule will still apply. This mechanic will also have the chance to be dynamic, meaning CKs could be handed out to people for bad roleplay or other situations. Why is this better than Player Kills? This is better than Player Kills because it serves the exact same purpose as a Player Kill without making it awkward for the party who is the victim. There is no body to process because it's a state the character can recover from. Once the timer goes up after getting Brutally Wounded, players would be forced to roleplay the injuries that led to it. This means that for example, if a character is shot up, their timer goes down and they do not remember a thing - they can still see their injuries and report it to the police or tell their friends and everything can be investigated. This is also better than a Player Kill because one of the core rules of roleplay is that you can not simply kill a character for no reason. Be it self defense, running away or even an accident. If you can not kill, then don't have a mechanic called the player kill which completely breaks the fucking Matrix. I have spent almost three years on this server, with breaks but still three years. I can honestly say that ever since I started playing here I've been wondering why this even exists and why does it have to exist if it puts so many players in such dumb and inconvenient situations. From losing all of the character's items to having to start over from a hospital in the ghetto. Player Kills are inconvenient, a reason that provokes more gun usage which we currently DO NOT NEED on this server with how many shootings happen daily. I could probably list much more here but my main point is that this isn't even needed on this server and it provokes shit roleplay and killing people because you like it or because you think they deserve it. Killing on roleplay servers has always been a last resort, therefore if someone is killed they should be gone to forever sleep. Not to respawn at the hospital and awkwardly roleplay like it never happened. This is especially awkward when you meet your killer later at some point on the server. Because you both are like "huh I just killed this bitch" and "oh the dude who killed me haha what's good bro, how's the family and shit?". Plus, Player Kills have boosted this server's daily killing rate higher than Cyberpunk 2077's. ... Good morning Los Santos! Yesterday's body count lottery rounded up to a solid and sturdy thirty! Ten outta Davis, thanks to unabated OOC beef! ... Jokes aside, please vote and please be constructive, give me proper answers and if you do not agree, tell me why you do not agree because I want to know why, for so many years PKs have been our actual solution to so many problems, when it just led to so much bullshit. TL;DR keep this topic civil.
  4. Less action and more roleplay. Tired of the cops versus robbers gaming that many people have chosen over actual roleplaying. More people outside, walking and hanging out and less people on the streets and highways doing six hundred miles per hour in their Pariah, running from modified LSPD Buffalos. More stores, salons, agencies, businesses which provide any sort of services other than bars, nightclubs, cafes and other alcohol infested shit. Less shooting, more usage of melee weapons to intimidate, punish, or even kill. Retards and outcasts who did not make it into factions or got kicked out of them properly punished for their behavior - banned and banned again if they evade. If they are not there to intimidate the public every time they want to roleplay outside, then the public will not need 800 people daily in order to make most areas populated. We'll be fine with two social hubs and like 300 players even. I am not saying that I wish for this server's player count to go down, but rather pointing out that our player count does not mean anything when our quality has been gradually dipping down for years. I am glad that Management has finally noticed these issues and that appropriate steps will be taken. Do not use this comment to derail this topic and turn it into another discussion, it's only my two cents. Other than that I want to see a crack down on modified cars for immersion purposes. If there is no reason for your character to drive a riced out Pariah then don't drive a riced out Pariah. Car enthusiasts aren't the rarest especially in California but the amount of riced out pieces of shit that I see on our roads is honestly vomit inducing. And even if it isn't rice but tasteful modifications then still, why? Just drive a normal car. If you're a law abiding citizen you won't ever need that car to run from the cops. Then I wanna see more news outlets and people taking them seriously. I want the server continuity and lore to be more developed and taken way more seriously than now, because for now it's too much of a free for all. Everyone sees this city in their own eyes and everyone always has a counter-argument against everyone. We need more definition in regards to all of this.
  5. Agreed and like I said above - outcasts and retards - that's basically the less politically correct way of saying unofficial groups. It's weird how they're allowed to do such great damage and bring such a bad image to legit factions despite not really being shit.
  6. I have been saying most of this since I have joined GTA World back in October of 2018 and I am glad someone has finally had enough time and dedication to summerize my waterfalls of shit into a single, cohesive topic. Thank you Chromatic, you're always on some real shit. I have been saying this since the beginning - crime should be limited to an extent because that's how many enjoyable servers have done it. Some server I have played on for example only allowed crime in certain areas which were considered outskirts - we were roleplaying in Paleto Bay and therefore the population condensation was higher than Los Santos and we were able to have consistent groups of people hanging out in the front of every business on most streets. Crime within the inner city was limited and risky because of an active player population - there was always someone there to call the police therefore we were able to just go on about our days without caring until 7PM which is when crime such as kidnapping, robberies and other shit like that was allowed. I am absolutely not saying that GTA World should have crime allowed only within specific areas and time frames because it's an international community where players come from different timezones, but it would be a great idea to consider simply making rules that limit the amount of piss poor robberies and other violent crime that occurs. To everyone who is a civilian roleplayer I advocate that you stand for your rights to report piss poor roleplay. If you get mugged or robbed in the middle of what would realistically be the main street of a district in Los Angeles, then just take a few breathers and report the party whilst it happens or after it happens. We have had admins say multiple times that whilst crime does not have location limits in the rules, we should still be aware of where and how we conduct it to make it realistic instead of literally mugging someone who is just walking their dog in Rockford Hills. Personally I can say that this problem is there but it is partialy overblown, because me personally - I am able to walk around just fine during peak hours and nobody has ever robbed or tried to kidnap my character. I walk through the city calmly and just enjoy my time alone because everyone else is scared to walk around. Simply don't be scared for two reasosn. First reason to walk instead of driving everywhere is that if we actually do it and build social hubs, we'll be more safe even if GTA World's staff can not be arsed to make proper rules. If you're in a populated area then even if something happens there is always someone who will witness it. I have a feeling that many roleplayers overlook certain scenarios and particularly who is involved. When you get robbed by a hit squad of underage teenagers they're usually outcasts who didn't get accepted or got kicked out of factions. Actual factions on this server, like Chromatic has already said, have good roleplayers who know better than that. Whether it's the mafia or a gang. Those who go out of their way to mug people because "ThE aReA iS EmPtY ThErE aInT nO pLaYeRs HeRe CuH" are shit roleplayers and outcasts who are not wanted by factions. I have been in many factions on this server including K-Town for example which never focused on going for robbery sprees, our higher ups had better ways to make money and therefore K-Town was safe, a good social hub and people enjoyed the community roleplay there. People formed into cliques, couples, worked together and hanged out together in local businesses. K-Town management at that time or our IC higher ups have rarely advised us to go on robbery sprees to get our money, but K-Town's Kkangpae is secretive and low key with their operations therefore not every faction will be like this. And because not every faction will be like this, some players decide to conduct their business in more violent ways. I feel like severely violent gangs such as the Mara Salvatrucha were often used as cover ups for people to go on their power trips and roleplay some sickening shit, to then justify their brutality and extreme violence being part of their gang culture. BEWARE THAT I AM NOT SAYING ANY MS13 GANG THAT HAS BEEN ON THIS SERVER HAS BEEN NECESSARILY BAD, I'M JUST USING MS13 AS AN EXAMPLE BECAUSE THEY ARE NOTORIOUS FOR VIOLENCE. Blaming factions and LEOs has always been a way to stir up a shitstorm on this server and for some people it was just done so they could cry about it. Many factions that I have and have not been in have been tolerant, accepting and entertaining for me. Armenian Power for example socializes a lot, they hang out at their business and they're not immediately sus about outsiders hanging out on their turf because realistically Los Santos is diverse and it's not just you and your homies living on a block. Many Motorcycle Gangs that I've roleplayed around are also friendly, accepting of civilians and good people to be around. Why? Because factions, both LEO and ILLEGAL benefit from having civilians around not only to be victims or targets of investigation, but also signs that the area where a faction operates is actually active. FACTIONS WANT CIVILIANS AROUND THEM. FACTIONS are NOT the problem of this server, it's outcasts and retards who have been kicked out, denied or came back from a long ban holiday because a staff member was too nice to unban them early on or not keep a close eye on their behavior. There has been a thread once, long ago, a PSA that simply said "Just report." And I advise everyone who feels wronged to open up reports on these individuals or groups who bend or break barriers of realism or rules in order to conduct shitty roleplay that might not even be badly executed, but might not benefit anyone involved. You do not always win and you do not always lose. If crime is performed low-key and smart, it can leave a good impression on your victims. Most people on this server are not crybabies and assholes, but just like in politics - it's the retards and extremists who are the loudest and gain the most attention. We should honestly stop fighting, lower our weapons and just agree upon the fact that the only solution to this problem is to actually start socializing in public and reporting any idiocy that we stumble upon. Because no matter how many rules you put in place, outcasts and idiots will always find a way to bend them or work around them.
  7. Stefan I swear you're a savior sometimes. May the Panda reward you with World Points for your contributions.
  8. Hey guys, I don't feel like making a whole ass point over here but I have managed to dig up my old thread from the archive with some trucking suggestions and what I personally think. It's very old, from November 2020 in fact, though I have a feeling that it still is somewhat relevant nowadays. Feel free to have a look through it.
  9. I once got kidnapped by four dudes in a limousine (yes the fucking Stretch) in the middle of a street, near the Skate Park in Little Seoul. They were four deep like I just explained, all armed, all masked and with tinted windows. After ignoring them for a hot minute or two and just walking, one of them decided to get out and point his gun at my character to get her into the whip. She got in, they said some very nasty shit and proceeded to drive out of the city. Once we've reached the hills or some other shithole outside the city, they immediately asked for rape perms, which I denied. I got robbed, told them to just fucking kill me and so I got killed and then I left the server for like a year. And right, this happened before the rape-rp ban around mid-2019.

  11. Short description: Enable turn singnals for the controller using the D-Pad. Detailed description: Since we can no longer use the D-Pad for headlights, radio etc. I suggest that turn signals replace this. Commands to add: N/A Items to add: N/A How would your suggestion improve the server? Quality of life change for the players who prefer smooth driving with a controller. Additional information: N/A
  12. Perhaps, I just don't know what the fuck your problem is with the fact that my character has reasonable and DEVELOPED flaws but alright. I never use any of my character's flaws to any advantage neither, I dunno who shat in your coffee but don't take it out on me because I am not doing anyone any harm.
  13. Yeah I'm sorry for portraying a woman who lost two of her best friends to gang beef (happened IC and on the server) and vehicle accidents as a sad human being who constantly needs reassurance in order to not feel like shit. I guess I'm gonna roleplay forgetting the day when she saw her friend get gunned down, as well as multiple other people going MIA. I'll buy a Sultan Classic and a Weazel Plaza apartment for my trucking money and roleplay some happy bimbo with a fetish for petite blonde immigrant chicks. Sorry for having a bad character!

    Removal of ERP?

As long as it's not the only thing people do, I don't care.
  15. bumping this because it's literally the best thread we had in general discussions since 2017
  16. My character is an egoistical bitch who feels superior to other women or people over all, though at the same time she went through a PTSD phase and now struggles with depressive episodes. Even though she'd have a right to feel superior after surviving so much, it's still a con as she's unapproachable, doesn't usually want to talk and loves to abuse a substance and get really fucked up from time to time - from booze to some amphetamines even. On top of that, her narcissism doesn't help with much. Her need to be an independent woman made her quit her job at a company so now she is self-employed and complains about her taxes being bigger. In short, she's been through a lot in life and can't help it but feel superior to others who had it easy with their careers as bartenders or mechanics. She can avoid people based on small things because she's judgemental and doesn't really trust new friends. Life didn't have a chance yet to teach her that being a self-centered piece of shit is bad, but maybe soon it will happen and then, who knows? She might change.
  17. Honestly most gang roleplayers, even if they roleplay being dumb as dookie, will not harm you in any way (physically or financially, or both) in the middle of the street. People who do that are outcasts who got denied from a faction or two and perhaps formed up some sort of a circle jerk... or just shit roleplayers. If factions don't want them, they go on their power trips and rob random ass people in random ass places. If that happens, then report them because I bet my left nut you don't want them too, and nor do I. Nobody wants these people on this server not only because of portrayal issues but also because they're usually shit roleplayers. Just report any instance where a piss poor robbery is being performed, this issue really isn't as big as people make it seem. If you see a faction constantly make trips from Davis to the beach to rob people then report the whole faction too. The best thread we had in General Discussions was the PSA - Just Report one. I am gonna say right now that I don't agree with the place of a crime (robbery, murder or whatever) being whatever, because people are gonna use the "my character is really fucking dumb bro he 15 he dont care if he rob a fool in the middle of the street" excuse just so they can shank someone, loot their body and then go rp some 150IQ gangbanger back on their turf. With that said, I will still report any instances of idiots trying to rob me in the middle of what would be a populated area. I don't care for the time because timezones exist, but the place? Yeah, I am not going to play on a server where outcasts who aren't wanted by most factions can have their power trips and make the middle of Los Santos look like it's a Brazilian favela.
  18. i certainly hope you've got a faction loicense
  19. I passed a woman on the street, she was wearing basically zero clothing in balls freezing weather and so I ask her if she's okay 'cause it's cold, like thirty. Bruh she hit me with "What do you mean the weather is like thirty degrees? I'll wear my bra and shorts anyways, I don't care if it's cold as shit outside, gotta be fabulous an' beautiful an' SEXY." She's probably all toughened up from working as a mechanic but Jesus fuck.
  20. This tax is there in place to have people actually work for trucking companies both for the sake of server economy and the fact that it makes for more roleplay. I do not completely agree with it but it has to be there.
  21. Short description: Add a rule and/or a reminder that people are required to make drop-off points for /sellcrate accessible to all trucking vehicles. Detailed description: N/A Commands to add: N/A Items to add: N/A How would your suggestion improve the server?: This rule change would make it easier for truckers to deliver things when using larger trucks such as the Mule, Benson and Pounder. Currently, certain drop-off points require people to park far away and painfully unload crates manually, walk to the marker, use /sellcrate and repeat for a very long time. Additionally, certain trucks are too big to park in front of a lot of businesses and they limit other people from parking properly or force them to park far away which is just an inconvenience for everyone, not only truckers. I would recommend that this rule and the reminder (similar to the mapping one) are written something like this: "Drop off points for business components must be placed in areas, which are accessible to all trucks, including the big ones such as the Benson or Pounder. If your business can not have a sensible drop-off point, place the drop off point at the nearest sidewalk or business entrance. Consider using the back area of your business as an unloading area since the traffic in the back isn't as cluttered. Do not place markers inside of any business because if your business is locked, truckers will not only not be able to deliver, but they will also be stuck with a truck full of crates." "REMINDER: Make sure your drop-off point is in an area that is easily accessible to truckers in big trucks, like the back of your business. Never place a marker inside of your business." This would help with realism. In real life, deliveries are usually done early in the morning or late at night because the traffic near the business is minimal or zero. But on GTA World, you can deliver whenever you want. It happens too often that we arrive to a spot and the front is cluttered with cars and players and we are forced to literally run across entire streets with crates, which is unrealistic because most of us roleplay using a crate trolley to move multiple crates at once. This isn't laziness, this is just realism. Nobody is going to manually haul 20 crates across a street by themselves as a driver of a long haul vehicle. Usually, people who are local workers take care of the delivery and it is up to the driver if they want to help out or not, but since we have script limitations, I'd rather go with making it easier on us to unload crates. Being parked at the sidewalk for upwards of twenty minutes to unload a Pounder is just annoying to us and other players. I know that I'm gonna get people here who are going to say that this suggestion is done out of laziness, but it isn't. We can still roleplay our deliveries creatively without having to run from one end of the street to another. We can still roleplay with local workers to have them unload their stuff if it's possible, all I'm asking for is to have drop-off points easily accessible instead of having them placed inside of a business or in some fuck knows where area where you have to literally run marathons with crates. Additional information: Sometimes people place drop-off points INSIDE their business and then lock said business, which leads to truckers being stuck in a vehicle full of crates until someone asks for a delivery.
  22. I thought that was the obviously good way to do it - get a camera and pick them out from a far knowing what their face looks like. Who the fuck just rides up to people on a motorcycle to identify them? This isn't just metagaming or a rule breach, this is a lack of braincells. Using a camera is safer, faster, allows you to hide behind a corner or some shit and you don't looks "sus as fuck".
