  1. I think that handling it in-game usually stops roleplay for too long and people lack prepared evidence, therefore it always goes over to the forums. People rarely get punished in game because it's always some he said she said thing.
  2. Detailed Description With most truckers roleplaying using trolleys to move their cargo, which is realistic considering both efficiency and the fact that we're not cyberpunk characters with gorilla arms, we should shorten the commands and therefore the process of unloading. Before I get called lazy, let me get this straight. I have nothing to gain from doing this pointless thing anyways, I could be roleplaying with other truckers or owners of the business I am delivering to. This mechanic is so fucking tedious that my head hurts thinking about it. It discourages people from roleplaying because it's so repetitive, useless and unrealistic. Therefore, please, for the love of God almighty shorten these: /pickupcrate > remove it completely, as it's useless. It does absolutely nothing like I said and realistically truckers would either use equipment to move multiple boxes at once or they would leave the unloading to the local staff. Since local staff is usually busy roleplaying with other people, we need truckers to do the job, it's not realistic 100% but it's what we have to do on this server. Instead make it so that you can just /loadcrates at the supplier. /loadcrate > /loadcrates (number of crates) /unloadcrate > /unloadcrates, no need to specify how many because we deliver all the crates to a single business at once to complete the delivery I am completely aware that crates weigh a specific amount and that the inventory won't allow this. To combat this, simply remove the weight from them. Nobody on this server has ever carried a crate in their inventory for no reason anyways. It's an useless item other than being there for the purposes of trucking. Relevant Commands/Items /loadcrates (number) /unloadcrates Remove: /pickupcrate How will it benefit the server? Following the recent heated discussions regarding trucking, we came to the conclusion that the job is too grindy (no shit) and that it discourages people from roleplaying or doing the job itself at all. Therefore, these commands need to be shortened in order to allow us to roleplay more and spam commands less. We could write multiple /me or /do in the time it takes us to unload our trucks using these commands. Also. Hear me out, right? Some business owners do not realize that the front entrance is not exactly the best delivery spot for their business. They don't realize that customers are usually parked there and it makes trucking, and especially delivering awkward. It forces the trucker to walk up and down a road with one crate at a time, which ends up taking way too long than it needs. Considering how many crates the businesses need on this server to even make a profit, I think we could currently use all the efficiency we can get, while still roleplaying realistically and not driving like we're mentally insane.
  3. This offer is no longer available. (( Please L&A ))
  4. Shoot me your offer, I'll consider them all.
  5. 2008 VAPID BENSON Delivery Truck Features: Engine brake, heated mirrors, heated seats, AM/FM radio, central locking, trunk ramp, diff lock for off-road driving. GVWR: 46000lbs ((15 crates)) I'm selling my 2008 Vapid Benson, it has served me and the previous owner well for over fifteen thousand miles now, and I will be missing it dearly... but it has to go. I can't keep babysitting it with my new truck and really don't need it, some other trucker or company would probably make better use of it. Feature-wise, it has the standard 2008 dark interior, not much has been done to it, it has been recently professionally cleaned and detailed because the previous owner used to smoke inside and it stank. The seats are replaced from a 2011 model and they're very comfortable for long trips, especially around Blaine. The suspension, engine and transmission (12 speed manual) are in decent condition and nothing shows signs of needing maintenance for now. It has been well taken care of, cleaned regularly and treated like an over all queen. Parts of the engine were regenerated last year and it surely moves when you step on the gas. The truck never struggled anywhere, it's been taken across San Andreas, California and Nevada, across highways, cities and dirt roads. Always been one reliable motherfucker. It's a great truck to drive, very comfortable and easy to maneuver considering its' size, partially due to the fact that it's been treated with the love it deserves. I'm asking what I think is a fair price, eighty five grand. Willing to negotiate slightly, but no low balling. Check out the pictures below. ((OOC INFORMATION IN THE SPOILER)) ASKING PRICE: $85,000 SOLD CONTACT ME: [email protected] ((Forum PM))
  6. Again, as a long haul trucker the last option sucks because of space limitations when you're driving anything bigger than a Mule. Taking up lots and lots of space to enjoy rp with people sucks for everyone involved and is, in my opinion quite a dick move. I do agree with everything else that you've said but I still do think that truckers are discouraged from roleplaying because they do not want to be a hassle and take up space for the purposes of roleplaying. If, like I said, we had van drivers and long haul trucking as two seperate jobs that wouldn't need grinding but instead simple licenses for specific vehicles so that we can filter out the retards, that would benefit the server in a huge way. You could be roleplaying with van drivers as a long haul trucker, separate out the cargo and such. There are endless possibilities but with the current script in place it promotes grinding, minimal roleplay and money making instead of actually valuable roleplay. I think that long haul drivers should be held to a much higher standard and perhaps they could move cargo to depots where it would be separated into smaller vans, Boxvilles and mayhaps Mules. Those aforementioned vehicles are perfect to be driven around the city to deliver, the longer, bigger trucks are a hassle and pain in the ass to even maneuver for most people. With that said and that option being available I do think that certain goods such as Vehicle Parts could still be moved straight for delivery by long haul truckers due to larger amounts of space being available at those garages, which isn't the case when you pull up to a 24/7 in Davis in a Pounder.
  7. With that said I believe that before seeking any script changes we should consider thinking about how this can be changed with just the players mentality. This is absolutely true and is caused by many issues, for example the simple lack of people to interact with during most deliveries. But I also blame the grind, van drivers especially have to work their asses off to drive better and more enjoyable trucks which is absolutely ridiculous. The step above the Van, the Boxville is practically useless and nobody wants to drive it.
  8. Valid points but still, we're playing a game. Automation defeats the purpose of interacting with the game. And like I said, unloading/loading and elongating that roleplay to ridiculous amounts of time will cause hiccups in the trucking job for other people who will end up having to wait for you to finish. We have real jobs, real people to meet and real activities to attend to, we can't afford to have to wait for 15-30 minutes for someone to fully end roleplaying a delivery. I do agree that we rely too much on doing our own things on this server and that we should socialize more though since grinding any job is a pain in the ass and nobody likes it, even myself I hate having to grind up to 500 deliveries to drive a truck that both me OOC and my character are perfectly capable of driving without causing massive amounts of damage to the city. Pressing WASD can be argued as nothing worthwhile but it's part of the fun in driving on the server, I'm very passionate about driving as perfectly as I can on this server and I do not want to lose my "job" to automation, so if we can not have the perfect solution then perhaps implement a system that will still reward manual driving with the option to completely not care about being at the wheel, should you become tired or fed up. I like driving, plain and simple. I do care about how I look to other people in traffic and I do not drive like a dickhead, going over curbs and speeding down every road. I work independently because those are my character's choices and not mine. If this server was not over-saturated with businesses that bring absolutely nothing to the server, businesses which have a maximum of two to four people working at a time, perhaps we as truckers would get the chance to interact with other people as we unload our deliveries and such, but we don't even get the chance to because most businesses are closed down for the majority of the day and the workers are stuck working a register without the ability to interact with us while we're outside, despite the fact that realistically truckers do not unload the cargo, they drive it to the location and the local workforce slides everything out and takes care of it. Like I said, there are tons of small, even tiny issues with the server's core mechanics and bureaucracy that prevent some of the good things we've talked about from even happening. We need to think of an overall overhaul of the businesses, bureaucracy and other bullshit that comes to play when you're running a business. Most of the time when you're unloading and loading, you're just roleplaying with yourself because you have to. It's not enjoyable and nobody wants to do it because there's literally nobody else around to see it, other truckers don't care and workers do not have time or also don't care. You also can't expect people to care when you have 30 deliveries coming one after another. The fact that businesses require such ridiculous amounts of components at one time is crazy but it's what keeps truckers in the business though.
  9. Oh this is a great idea, totally not a way to easily straight up print script money and immediately stuff it into your character's bank account. While we're at it, make sure the developer team writes a new script for bartenders, so that all bartenders can yap about shit with customers and every time a drink is ordered the only thing they have to do is press L and their character will do that twerking animation and a beer will fly out of their ass into the customer's hand. Why bother clicking and writing commands or using menus to interact with the gamemode? It's 2022 after all, we should be all futuristic and convenient. Actually fuck it, script an entirely new automated AI for all LEO characters so that they can detect a new call coming in and automatically have the jetpacks hidden inside their assholes fly them over to the location. Give them aimbot so that they can immediately stop anyone committing petty theft or grand theft auto for the convenience. Make sure that they can chat to their superior about how great their sex was last night and that they're willing to do it again for a promotion. Script a similar AI for everyone who gets invited to a faction, make sure that the system detects bad words and sentences such as "Where you from cuh?" and reacts appropriately, maybe causing the player to immediately commit murder and reply "Fuck yo dead homies!". I am over-exaggerating slightly but you get the point. You're here to roleplay but you're playing a video game, you can not automate the whole fucking gamemode for the convenience of talking and socializing, you will create social bots who have been a staple problem of this server ever since I started playing. If we go down that route then sure we will all have nicely developed characters with no action, and while I do agree that less action is something that this server could use considering all the mass-murders, shitty driving and cop chases that come from it, I do not agree that full automation of a trucking job, and therefore creating a money printer is the way to go. Like I said, I'm all about socializing and talking to people while you work, trucking shouldn't be lonely and boring like it is in real life because we're playing a video game. But once again, to prove my point even further, full automation of anything on this server is NOT the way to go. Two minutes is all you need behind the wheel to talk to your boss, coworker, mother or significant other. You will not roleplay other stuff such as unloading cargo for fifteen minutes straight and get paid for it because you will halt other roleplayers from getting to the point and moving on with their roleplay. This server is simply not built for realistic trucking that is somewhat enjoyable and we have to work around it. You might ask what is halting me from roleplaying unloading for fifteen minutes straight? The answer is simple, Los Santos would realistically have smaller vans delivering cargo to smaller shops located in tighter streets for example. Imagine a situation where you have five Pounders waiting in line, blocking an entire street, all waiting to roleplay unloading their cargo to a small shop located in the middle of the city. And that does happen because people are greedy and want to deliver for money in as little time as possible. If the trucking job was split between actual long haul trucking and van driving for small deliveries to shops in the city, things like that would make total sense. And I have previously suggested splitting these into two jobs since having a Pounder deliver anything in the middle of the city is so ridiculously stupid that it wouldn't take place in real life, most big trucks are straight up banned from entering city centers for example. Be it in Europe or the USA. There is so much more to consider here than just "boohoo stupid fucking driving i just want to socialize more :(", there are so many more tiny issues with trucking that need to be taken care of first before we even start thinking of partial automation of the job. I do agree that socializing should be more available, I worked for IMEX for a while and loved it there but you as a Player need to put in at least minimal effort in order to get paid for your job, you can't just expect automation to do everything for you. It beats the purpose of not only roleplaying but playing the game.
  10. Startshift system where companies decide you're fired without enough hours put in? No, I work independent, have been for months, and will not be joining a trucking company for a few reasons - mainly ruined reputations and the fact that I do not have the OOC time or mental capacity to not get burned out and maintain a presence. I'm a minority because most truckers work with companies for that additional few bucks per delivery which at that point go back to my first point and you'll find the reason why companies have such bad reputations in some circles. Second, autopilot goes out of question because as a truck driver it's your job to drive. If you don't find it at least a bit enjoyable, don't drive. I'm not saying that trucking should be boring, lonely and all you should do is drive, fuck and kill prostitutes and yell at Mexicans as they unload your cargo but despite that statement being racist and sexist as hell it already sounds more fun than how trucking currently is, so maybe we could argue here that autopilot could be allowed for up to 1-2 minutes per delivery to let you screw around with work friends if you work for a company. Or if you're independent, so you can call your s/o on speaker and let them know you're fine outside of the city and the BF400 mercs haven't gotten to you. In practice what I have proposed above is going to be buggy as fuck, I can already see that additional countdown timer for self-driving being a performance problem because RAGE just is like that and counters make it absolutely shit itself so unless the World devs can somehow code like NASA scientists, that's not gonna fly. Some people do not have a good sense of time so they will forget their autopilot will run out and they will crash into something mid-sentence. No big deal just an immersion-breaker and potentially annoying situation where you lose a headlight or two, or commit vehicular manslaughter. Casual day at work. To encourage safe driving, if we did pass the /startshift system, it should not be company-only, it should be for all truckers and therefore it should just start when you /startshipment and end when you leave your truck to load/unload crates. You sit in one place for more than one minute, the timer stops. Yes, one minute. Even most police scenes can be gone around in under 1-3 minutes. Shit happens and sometimes you lose money, we can not have people sit on their ass in a full truck abusing the system that is intended to reward good roleplayers. But then you run into another fuck you situation where truckers would abuse the system by pointlessly driving around the world to work additional time into their /startshift. How to combat it? You can't. You can't put a cap on delivery times, you'll make truckers rush and drive like total cunts which is already a thing for certain people and they're the reason why so many quit. You also can't pay truckers per distance driven since that's basically abusing time as well. There is one way to solve it and that is to use tachometers which the cops could check to see if you weren't driving in circles for government money, but I would love to see the LEO factions take care of that. Because they won't, they can't be fucked and I do not blame them. It's boring and why this system is not in place.
  11. The property has been sold. (( Please lock and archive ))
  12. Considering how bad the framerate currently is, I'd honestly not even be mad if they decided to remove the additional props, especially lights et cetera. These people making DM montages from Davis or any interior ever must be running GTA on a fucking NASA supercomputer, considering they're still able to record, and considering the fact that many people with super beefy computers are also complaining about FPS loss, especially in Davis, Strawberry and the majority of Rancho. The rest of the city is fine most of the time, Little Seoul gets choppy at times and Vinewood Hills suffers from extreme texture loss on the roads but that's it. That's not just my experience though, but most peoples' who have mid-high tier setups. Even people with extremely good setups, talking "I sold my kidney for this shit" setups complain about framerate, so something is definitely off and it's mostly RAGEMP's fault, I'd say CEF is also not very helpful here. But I'm not a computer science major or anything like that, I'm just going off what I've experienced. I've played on this server since late 2018 and in late 2018 this server was totally playable on my shitbox with a i3 2120, Radeon 6750HD and 6GB of ram, HDD to add salt to the wound. I bet my ass if I tried launching World on that computer now it would blow my face off. Solutions? No, GTA 5 is terribly optimized as it is, and I know that people are going to defend the game here so let me explain - this game WAS okay optimized back in the day, it was totally playable, nowadays they've piled up so much garbage content into it - clothes nobody uses, weapons nobody uses, vehicles nobody uses et cetera that the game doesn't only weigh over 100 fucking gigabytes but it also runs like utter garbage in certain situations. Also, no, because RAGEMP is what it is and I wouldn't give them too much shit considering they're working their asses off to improve it, unlike Rockstar. But RAGEMP, as far as I remember, is coded by one person, so of course you can't expect it to be developing at any sensible speeds, that's why it's been even worse in 0.37. TL;DR: we're fucked because both Rockstar and RAGEMP can't seem to optimize, and the ancient scripts that this server has in certain places certainly do not help. It also doesn't help that we have many custom features which end up eating resources, when they do not bring much to the world or the experience.
  13. More edgy roleplay should be allowed like the person before me has said, we're a roleplay server and not a SJW PC hub for Twitter retards. What happens in character must stay in character, therefore people must stop being so judgemental of how the people behind these characters might be. I am not saying this to defend any fiends who fetishize characters to the point that they're nothing but harmful stereotypes, or people who purely want to roleplay the forbidden apple stuff, but rather, my point is that fucked up shit happens every time in real life. People get severed, raped, kidnapped or all at the same time sometimes. The fact that there are rules in place to prevent it happening in "broad daylight" is completely fine, but the outright ban on some "offensive roleplay" is something I don't really like. If you wanna eat a corpse, fucking eat it, what's it gonna do? Report it to the police? No, as long as it's outside of other players' view, who cares? Nobody cares, literally nobody. I do agree that this server, unfortunately, is a getaway for many fucked up people, but I do not agree that everything should be so strictly controlled or outright banned just because a few people have been caught and happened to be pretty fucked in the head. Making laws or rules in order to protect minors who might play this game is dumb and it is what constantly denies people their freedoms. This game is rated 18+, there's nudity, extreme violence, explosions, drug use, prostitution and fuck knows what else in the base game. This server should not even make it a priority to "protect the children", I bet my ass most of you have started roleplaying when y'all were under eighteen. It's the parents' job to make sure their kids do not do what they should not be doing. The unfortunate and sad truth is that teens and children end up playing adults games, watching adult media and using substances meant only for adults such as alcohol or nicotine anyways. This server is not a daycare, we're out here to roleplay normal lives 99% of the time with the occasional sex, killing, drug use or other stuff. And like I have already said, rules are already in place to prevent this kind of stuff from happening in broad daylight. You, as a Player, have the option to fade to black or deny certain types of roleplay. This is fine but it could be looser, my whole point is that this server is not a Roblox server where 12 year olds play some dumb shit, this is an adult game and adult stuff should not be taken as seriously. And yes, I do understand that if we let people do their thing more, there would be articles such as "THIS GTA SERVER ALLOWS PEOPLE TO RAPE EACH OTHER! SEE HOW!" but once again, who cares? We, roleplayers, do not care. The media and Twitter retards will always want attention and an empty pot to stir shit up in, it will come and go in a wave and then be forgotten forever. While I think we should have lesser restrictions, I also think that we should stay vigilant and keep our eyes open, looking out for people who might abuse certain scenarios for their own, fucked up personal pleasure. We want roleplayers who roleplay realistic characters for the sake of development and creating interesting scenarios and characters, we do not want creeps who ERP because they're bored of PornHub.

  15. Deal. Please e-mail me when you are ready to proceed with buying.
  16. As one of the trucker roleplayers, it's just burnout in my case. It's point A to point B, zero interaction, everyone drives like a fucking cunt no matter if you're a cop, a trucker or anyone else on the road. I'm honestly just tired, I feel like I'm trying too hard when I drive realistically and slowly, because nobody cares and then we get a bad rep because some truckers drive like they're in Pakistan. I don't need the money from it because my character is basically balling in assets and I don't care, therefore unless I'm in the mood to go trucking on World, I won't go trucking. I will go play ATS/ETS2 instead.

  18. My opinion on this kind of collides with everything that's being said, because I think that the worst offenders in this situation are rental/starter cars. Everyone can just get a car when they start out, no license required, nada. It's ridiculous law-wise because you need a license if you want to travel via the roads in any vehicle, excluding bicycles. I think giving people 200k to start off with is already enough, the fact that people also get starter cars screws over the taxi drivers. Considering how the server is right now I think that renting cars should be privatized, kind of how you can lease a vehicle via the UCP but on a less permanent contract, maybe daily or weekly. It will also create new roleplay possibilities and what not.
  19. > Getting kidnapped by a squad in a limousine (Yes they legit rolled up in a Stretch, four deep) after completely ignoring them and minding my own business, in the middle of a street in Little Seoul. Then my character got taken out of the city where they have proceeded to rob her and ask me in /b if I will give them consent to roleplay rape and other stuff. This was before rape roleplay was banned. I ended up letting them kill me and CK-ed because I couldn't with em. Honestly after witnessing that I've quit from mid 2019 to early-ish 2020 because I couldn't comprehend why the fuck anyone would go out of their way to do that shit. > Bad attempts at roleplaying people who are in the spectrum, portraying them as absolutely retarded and quirky. There are tons of examples thought I will not call out any names. You know who you are, do your research. > Anytime a law abiding citizen decides to do some stupid shit that would realistically completely ruin their damn life or cause them harm. This includes driving like a monkey, starting beef with random people, or suddenly deciding to go do something illegal because haha it's a game bro. > Not really roleplay itself but more of a portrayal issue and it's that characters who flip burgers and shit do not drive normal vehicles but rather modified, glow in the dark pieces of shit with jet engines.
  20. I have also legit never been robbed on this server during 3 years of playing, but I've had one failed robbery attempt where some gonk chased me down while shooting at the same time, then his car got recognized and once he's been told to fuck off out the neighborhood, he then DM'ed me and like five other people at a gas station some time later. He also tried to talk shit in my DMs after his failed attempt and yadda yadda. Do you know what happened to him? He got banned for some other shit, but I reported him anyways to make sure that he doesn't come back due to admins being very trigger-happy with the unban-gun. He did get unbanned eventually because let's face it, no ban is permanent on this server, unless you're caught being a nonce or something, but he probably came back rehabilitated, and probably had time to think about what he did, since I didn't see any major reports on him since then. See the pattern here? I took action when I saw truly, magnificently shitty roleplay and the dude got punished accordingly. Something got thrown on top of his ban just in case he'd ever get unbanned, to remind him that he fucked up that one time. Admins on this server do care but reports take time because everyone, for the most part, has a real job, a family and over all shit to take care of. The new rules are okay, certain things I don't like but for the most part they have prevented what everyone's been complaining about for the longest time ever - shitty roleplayers formed into groups giving you shitty roleplay. If anything else happens that's bad just take my advice for once and report it, it will take you five minutes and you will not only serve justice but also do a favor for the community. I wish more people in this community would stop being such crybabies, we're a community after all. If you do not want to do something for your own good then think about the fact that it might make it good for the rest of us, and if it takes you a few minutes tops then you might as well do that. We will all appreciate you putting in work to purge shitty roleplay and it doesn't matter whether we roleplay legal, illegal or neutral.
