  1. Yes and I think it's really realistic. Same "power drunkness" happens in real life. In real life, you learn to follow orders and shut up when working with the police. Players in this server are way too confrontational ICly. That's not realistic unless you're roleplaying mental issues.
  2. Yes, awesome. Make it so that if you smoke indoors and an alarm is installed, you have a certain % chance of the alarm going off. That happens all the time IRL. Especially in hotels and dorms. +1
  3. Update This property is for rent once more. Please contact sboykin for more information. Brought to you by Wallow, Inc.
  4. I think this would be a great idea, although I disagree with you that the RV has to be spawned already. The server already knows where your RV is /vp'd. It should spawn you automatically where it is if you so choose. If you want to take it one step further, it should also spawn the RV automatically if you choose to spawn in it.
  5. Furnishing my apartment right now. This would've been awesome.

  8. COIL - Update! This vehicle is still for sale. Brought to you by AUTOAMERICAR
  9. I like the idea of taking it IC. One of my characters will write to his representative asking for the creation of a competent gambling commission and some other ideas.
  10. I’ve been to many casinos in my lifetime. The only one that ever asked me for an entry fee was the Casino de Monte Carlo. Other than that one, I’ve never been to a casino in Europe or the US (Vegas included) that required an entry fee.
  11. It’s not bitching people are expressing their opinions and suggesting alternatives you should watch your language.
  12. Another idea to balance things (for cars) would be to add one of those steering wheel lock bars. That way thieves can look inside and /vex, and if there’s one, they can either try to pick it after picking the car (ergo double the time to pick and more chance for the alarm to start) or they can move to a different car. Car owners will have to /putsteeringwheellock or /psw and do a /me that’s at least 80 characters long for it to get on. The opposite to remove it as well. That way at least the extra security adds some inconvenience to make it fair on the illegal players. And characters would have to buy one from a hardware store. That way people with multiple cars need to spend more as well.
  13. 100% I agree with you. I think maybe a fair compromise would be for the highest echelon alarm to be disabled for half the duration amount it would take to pick the second to highest echelon lock level. That way you absolutely have to invest in a good lock as well. Don’t disable the audible alarm noise. And give G6 and/or the police a notification whenever jamming signals are detected (a jammer is used) with the general location or neighborhood name. That way they have to patrol the area as well.
  14. 10 minutes is way too much. Especially when it’s indiscriminate of the alarm level. Imagine spending 20 grand on an alarm for it to be essentially useless. I think it should go down by 2 to 3 minutes as the alarm levels go up. The jammers will also absolutely kill security factions like G6. Who will pay them when they know there is a jammer going around that will absolutely make them useless? People will also start /vp’ing their cars as soon as they’re done using them. If there is absolutely no way the devs will remove it, at least add a method of prevention for legal (civilian) roleplayers. None of us want the hassle of being out of a vehicle for 6 hours if chopper and having to walk or taxi to the impound. Or having no safe(ish) place to hide our valuables.
  15. Yes they do. The fence also exists. It keeps people out of the runway. In the GTA World world, we get dozens of vehicles every evening driving through the middle of the runway. The Princess Juliana Airport in St Martin, which is where that pic you posted is from, sees zero civilian cars streaking down the runway.
  16. I beg you. Please. No. We already get so many people cutting through the runway with their cars. Barreling towards planes taking off. Disturbing landings when we try to land. Driving through the RP that we create in the airfield. Don’t give the runway more prominence. It’ll be chaos. It’s fine as it is. And it is way too close to an active runway.
  17. You have received a message! From: Senorise Boykin Message: Hi. I’m willing to offer $220,000 for the Carbonizzare as a starting bid, at the very least.
  18. I think a fair compromise would be to beef up the acceleration a bit if NOS really is something that needs to be gone.
  19. You’re never gonna find a perfect system. The key is to reduce, not eliminate.
  20. Want less murders? Make the punishment fit the crime. Guilty of murder or attempted murder? Jail forever for that character. Also maybe a rule to make premeditated murder an OOC offense for characters that have been created less than a month before the act.
  21. The way I see it is you write your emotes for other peoples’ roleplay experiences and they write theirs for yours. I already know what I want my character to do, so if I write it in a descriptive way it is to enhance the reader’s immersion. When I roleplay with someone that likes long detailed emotes I make them nice long and detailed. When the person I’m with prefers and writes simple ones I write simpler ones. It also depends on the importance of the roleplay situation. I know the way I want my character to cross his arms, for example, the person I’m roleplaying with doesn’t necessarily know. And if they don’t care or the situation isn’t going to develop (ergo me building my character and his mannerisms won’t matter in the long run), I won’t spend time writing detailed /mes.
  22. You should be able to RP whatever you want and no one should tell you otherwise. Los Santos is a rich town with a lot of opportunity for anyone, especially crime families. It only makes sense organized crime syndicates start moving here.
  23. As far as the SAAA Flight Academy is concerned, we got an engineer that RPly delivers fuel in a tanker and fills the planes. Last I asked, he RPed filling them up with the tanker and then used a gas can, not sure though. Personally whenever I am low I fly to LSIA to fill up. Would be nice if the tanker had the ability to be filled though. I’d rather that, if only for the RP opportunities, than a gas station.
  24. I suggest two separate systems: one for old cars and one for new cars. It makes sense to hotwire an old car, however newer cars are mostly stolen through Relay Attacks nowadays. These are small machines that amplify the radio waves your car and key fob make to make the car think the key fob is nearby. That then gives the thief access to unlock and start the car. Now, instead of requiring lockpicks to steal newer cars, I suggest requiring one of those Repeater/Amplifier devices that make Relay Attacks possible. One may acquire those from a seedy pawn shop or a seedy website. The system could be a luck based + timer system in order to nerf it. We could also forgo the requirement for the owner to be a mile or so around for it to work to make it fairer towards the thieves. Security wise, prudent car owners may want to have an RF blocking pouch to put their keys in in their inventory. Those make relay attacks impossible or very hard.
