Niche characters can be great but most overdo the stereotype. Sometimes it gets to the point they're more of a sitcom character than a human. Not to say it shouldn't be done at all. Personally I don't care at all, roleplay what you wanna roleplay. Don't go and ruin other people's experience.

I can roleplay unique ideas when I want to, and often times do. I can also roleplay under stress while sticking to my character and how they are. On the otherside though anxiety and I have a rough time just going there and roleplaying with new people unless introduced.

Yeah, honestly this one of the better ways to start debuffing mechanic work. +1 from me.

Does it make sense to sell knives in hardware stores? Absolutely as I can head to my local Lowes, Home Depot, Farm and Fleet, ect and buy a knife without any issues. Will it happen? Absolutely not as people will use it just start robberies for no reason other than "I have a knife!". As for the illegal roleplay side of things? It still doesn't make sense as it's just an RPG element that needs to be changed. Basically, no -1.
