Dude... These are all Alarm Monitoring services. There’s a clear difference between physical patrolling properties and an Alarm Monitoring that’s done when someone triggers the alarm. A system that alerts the police. I obviously read your post. I think you’re confusing the two

This is an Alarm Monitoring by no means are they sending security guards to your door lol

Exactly my point. A system that alerts the police, or the security company's own staff.

Do you know how many fees there are included if you send the police to your house and there's nothing going on? 99% of home alarm triggers are false positives and do not require police intervention.

This is also why people hire private security to handle their alarms rather than the police. Some police agencies do not even respond to home alarms unless the issues are confirmed via CCTV.

Okay where in this video or in the ADT website does it state they deploy their own guards to your property? So far we are both agreeing to the basis of how security systems work for homes, but you’re clearly missing my point. Are you dodging the POV to my argument here?

You’re misunderstanding the system. Most of those alarm systems connect to a private dispatch center who subsequently send a private security company. Different companies install different systems, and different systems are hooked to different services.

I work as a security guard and I can assure you, we have guns, even kevlar vests because we guard multiple administration buildings. We have everything including metal detectors, bomb experts and emergency squads. Yes we are not cops, but as long as we are on property we guard, we technically are cops. Cause cops cannot enter without our escort, to begin with. As for pulling over, as long as it happens within guarded private area, we can do that. Now the rules differ depending on what you are guarding, we are usually encouraged never to use guns or self-defence training, much like cops. If it's possible to avoid such situations, we should do our best to do so. Then we have so-called alarm maps, which are basically objects without physical security. Once the alarm goes off, nearest patrol will put their kevlars on and goes to check the situation. We only call cops, if the situation requires us to pacify the suspect.

I might add that some security groups in my country went even further and included rescue systems and firefighting.

Yeah, this. I've heard a lot of OOC shit about G6 on this topic (and other platforms). I can see both sides. However, I have no experience with the faction so I won't comment.

OT: If you guys want an extreme example of American Security, this video is a small insight:

This seems to be more of an argument instead of an actual discussion, in my opinion you should be able to point out where you can improve, if anyone has complaints they could reach out privately, I get the motive behind this topic but people are just going to spaz out, that's just how it is. One thing I've learnt is you can't change perception or its hard to change it at least, for example people have a certain perception of the LSPD and it will never change, this is why people glorify SD to an extent, more of it has to do with quality but the PD has good rpers too, regardless of that, the general attitude towards them is bad, the same with black RP, regardless of all the good gangs that pop out, people will just summarize it as guys who rob you on bikes. I'm not saying that it's a good thing, that's just how it is and we're not going to fix that by arguing with each other.

It seems a lot of the hate toward G6 is fuelled by a lack of knowledge about how security is done in America. I think this is the same reason a lot of hate is funelled towards State Fire Marshals: people don't understand it, haven't seen it and thus think it's stupid or unrealistic.

After roleplaying from 2011-2018 on SA:MP in a few heavy roleplay servers, I've seen my fair share of RP, led factions bla bla. I had two years off due to work, and now with newfound free time thanks to corona, I joined GTA:W. Within probably the first hour or so of GTA:W, I drove by G6 and saw a lot of activity and cool looking cars and thought I'd enquire ICly about jobs. I was welcomed inside, given a rather thorough interview, and hired. The team taught me a LOT about the server, commands, etc. I was welcomed with open arms, and shown how GTA:W works.

There was a ton of great roleplay in G6. I had guided patrols, was taught a lot, we had incident reports and other forum paperwork, duress and other alarm responses...alarm installations...the roleplay was great.

The whole stop acting like cops debate is a load of crap. I get the same thing with SFM. In real life, if a security guard at a premise asks you to leave or has some other drama, 9 times out of 10, people will comply with the security, or run away! Not stand there antagonising the guard like a complete crackhead when their character isn't portrayed as such. If you look at videos of security guards stopping shoplifters etc, people freak out! They are scared! They've been sprung breaking the law. I don't understand how on GTA World so many people roleplay these characters that have completely unrealistic traits or personas. I personally never witnessed G6 "acting like cops."

@zaXer. is a very active faction leader and won't take shit. If a faction member is acting up, trolling, has poor roleplay, etc, they'll resolve it. You just have to report it! Like any faction, G6 is bound to have a few bad cookies every now and then.

Unlike PD/SD, G6 has to accept some lower quality roleplayers into the faction in order to survive. G6 doesn't have queues of people and an abundance of applications every month. They don't get to pick the top performers, they simply accept people if they can roleplay to a decent standard - and we all know people put more effort into their roleplay during IC interviews and the such. I've seen it myself in PD where people roleplay these incredible characters and incredible scenes when higher ups are watching or when they're trying to get promoted, and then go out and behave like they don't understand the concept of character portrayal.

Instead of jumping on the anti-G6 bandwagon during every interaction, try acting like a half-normal human and perhaps you'll see that their roleplay is actually quite interesting and good!

And for those commenting with nothing to contribute to the thread, please go elsewhere. G6 is simply trying to better their faction so if you can't contribute to this, then please scroll on!

To be honest, one thing I have noticed from not just Gruppe 6, but private security on GTA world in general, is the clear LACK OF FEAR.

It's one thing for a highly trained law enforcement officer trained for 6-8 months to not be that scared of a looming threat, but it's another thing for a private security guard to not be that scared of a looming threat.

Simply put, even though you guys may be equipped with firearms. You should still show fear, most people IRL don't work private security thinking they're some sort of LEO. They just do the job to get it done, and I wish I would see better character portrayal from Gruppe 6 when it comes to this. Most of the security guards IRL only do the job to make a living, and sometimes they too are afraid of overwhelming danger, regardless if they're armed or not.

Now that's not to say that all of GRUPPE6 is like this, just a majority are from personal experience.

Fear works both ways. What I've noticed from people roleplaying with law enforcement or private security is lack of fear. Fear of embarrassment (if that beefy dude can indeed put you in the dirt), fear of repercussions (legal consequences), and such.

I'm not saying G6, private sec in general or LEOs have to come from a military background, but what if that's what they created their characters to be, and they're dealing with everyone walking around like they're downright looking for a challenge? This has always been irritating for me personally.

Then again, the prevailing majority of male characters I see on the server are tall, muscular, athletic, ripped. No surprise it all comes down to people debating around roleplaying fear, because most are going for that tough guy concept.

Been here for a while now and I had shit-ton of interactions with G6. Had a couple of bad ones but all of them were just IC. If it's an IC issue, deal with it ICly and that's it.

Stop hating and demotivating them, it's not fair. All of us are here to RP and enjoy the game. Give them some constructive criticism instead so they can upgrade their faction.
They've drastically improved lately and big props to them for that.

I do believe that 90% of people who hate G6 ICly have just heard about them OOCly and decided to hate them ICly for no reason. Grow up, this ain't 2012 SAMP.

Props to the faction leaders for keeping the faction alive while being bombarded with toxicity 24/7.
