I don't know how to eradicate this issue. It's been around since the beginning of time (as far as GTA roleplaying goes, per my experience anyway). It's everywhere though, I mean, look at PD prior to it's forced restructuring. But, it is realistic in a sense that it's not what you know, it's who you know. Yes, it's not fair to have OOC relationships influence IC actions, but it's really hard to stop that. I think however you dodge a bullet by being pushed away by these factions - they're no good if this is how they operate. Cliques are scary.

I do appreciate a good read, and there's plenty of great articles and journalist in the community. I'm not interested in that kind of role-play, it's not for me. I don't see this as an IC issue. It's just completely unrealistic. By the same logic, you could say that almost anything is realistic and passable here...just because it can happen, doesn't mean it should nor should it be acceptable. I'm not attacking news factions nor the journalists on this server. All I'm asking for, is standards to keep press realistic.

I would suggest this has something to do with your expectations, and the expectations of others. The player's response in your first quote is what I would expect from a vast majority of native English speakers. No, it's not great, but I don't think it warrants any sort of punishment or pushback. If I can role-play with someone, and their role-play is acceptable, their English reads like this, then I have no issue. In fact, if I had any sort of say between taking action against any of the players for the quotes you've included, I wouldn't. The only time I think that action should be taken, is when someone's lines are nonsensical or pure lazy (using words like "plz" or "u").

I would like some standards to come into play regarding press realism. It's something that has annoyed me on every GTA role-play server that I've been a part of. I can not for the life of me recall any time in my life where I've watched a mainstream media outlet (a major one at that) release footage as graphic as this. It's actually bizarre that we focus so much time on role-play quality while this is what a major news network is releasing. Coverage of such a scenario would definitely occur, but a footage of a woman being filled with bullets? Not a chance. This really has got to stop.

Swiss! Zwiffy needs some Swiss companionship. In all seriousness though, probably some authentic ethnic roleplaying from any ethnicity. I find that quite often people role-play characters based heavily off of stereotypes. I think people should veer away from portraying a character with a cultural background they are unfamiliar with. However, if I really had to give an opinion - I'd be less worried about ethnicity and instead focus on improving realism through realistic characters that develop over time. One of my characters is young and lonely now, and he's experienced far too much for me to even consider how I'm going to portray him. I do wonder how so many can continue their character's stories after facing so much hardship. To me, this character is broken and I just don't think I'd find enjoyment in roleplaying his apathetic and drug-afflicted lifestyle.

Chainrobbing should be reported. I really disapprove of robberies down at the port but adding this to the list would set a bad precedent. I think this should be something lobbied for IC - more police patrols, or even trucking companies engaging security companies to complete regular patrols of their delivery locations.

It’s a shame and the amount of chaos sometimes makes it hard to roleplay certain characters. One of my characters has seen so much and the way I created him I just can’t see him being able to cope with such trauma. I don’t know how I’ll continue playing him because he’s just a broken mess by now. It goes both ways as you said. There are LEOs that ignore shit like this, and ghetto kids alike. I’ve only once seen a ghetto kid roleplay actual fear when faced with a scary situation as such. Most roleplay the “tough thug” 24/7, not realising that the tough act is often dropped or at least their act is somewhat broken for young ghetto kids irl when shit gets real.

yes and im sure the africans also paid to upgrade from their iphone 3s to iphone whatevers if ppl can't afford 3k then they shouldn't get it, and if they won't willingly upgrade then evidently it doesn't bother them much if it bothers you that your char has an iphone 3 then you could upgrade it regardless of functionality lol

no i think we should just eradicate iphone 3 from stores and add new phone names if ppl want to rp a more modern phone they can buy it imo

It seems a lot of the hate toward G6 is fuelled by a lack of knowledge about how security is done in America. I think this is the same reason a lot of hate is funelled towards State Fire Marshals: people don't understand it, haven't seen it and thus think it's stupid or unrealistic. After roleplaying from 2011-2018 on SA:MP in a few heavy roleplay servers, I've seen my fair share of RP, led factions bla bla. I had two years off due to work, and now with newfound free time thanks to corona, I joined GTA:W. Within probably the first hour or so of GTA:W, I drove by G6 and saw a lot of activity and cool looking cars and thought I'd enquire ICly about jobs. I was welcomed inside, given a rather thorough interview, and hired. The team taught me a LOT about the server, commands, etc. I was welcomed with open arms, and shown how GTA:W works. There was a ton of great roleplay in G6. I had guided patrols, was taught a lot, we had incident reports and other forum paperwork, duress and other alarm responses...alarm installations...the roleplay was great. The whole stop acting like cops debate is a load of crap. I get the same thing with SFM. In real life, if a security guard at a premise asks you to leave or has some other drama, 9 times out of 10, people will comply with the security, or run away! Not stand there antagonising the guard like a complete crackhead when their character isn't portrayed as such. If you look at videos of security guards stopping shoplifters etc, people freak out! They are scared! They've been sprung breaking the law. I don't understand how on GTA World so many people roleplay these characters that have completely unrealistic traits or personas. I personally never witnessed G6 "acting like cops." @zaXer. is a very active faction leader and won't take shit. If a faction member is acting up, trolling, has poor roleplay, etc, they'll resolve it. You just have to report it! Like any faction, G6 is bound to have a few bad cookies every now and then. Unlike PD/SD, G6 has to accept some lower quality roleplayers into the faction in order to survive. G6 doesn't have queues of people and an abundance of applications every month. They don't get to pick the top performers, they simply accept people if they can roleplay to a decent standard - and we all know people put more effort into their roleplay during IC interviews and the such. I've seen it myself in PD where people roleplay these incredible characters and incredible scenes when higher ups are watching or when they're trying to get promoted, and then go out and behave like they don't understand the concept of character portrayal. Instead of jumping on the anti-G6 bandwagon during every interaction, try acting like a half-normal human and perhaps you'll see that their roleplay is actually quite interesting and good! And for those commenting with nothing to contribute to the thread, please go elsewhere. G6 is simply trying to better their faction so if you can't contribute to this, then please scroll on!

Hi there I know admins can and have been using their discretion, but I believe snow rules should be updated to reflect a firm no motorbike stance. I ride IRL and there is no way in hell anyone in their right mind would ride let alone stay upright in snow. Cheers
