Are you saying that the way you have done '100% landlord RP' was to put a property up for /rent and just letting anyone and everyone rent there, or am I misunderstanding you?

Anyone who actively roleplays being a landlord will be excited by this update. Anyone who leaves /rent on a property for quick cash without roleplay will be upset by the change.

IFM need to be more proactive. Unless someone has a good reason for setting up in an area known as the turf of another gang, they should offer suggestions of alternatives and work with the potential new faction to refine their concept. The hands off approach isn’t working, and this is a consequence.

I’m not sure why you keep trying to make it seem like I’m the one thinking this is about ERP, because it so clearly is. The issue is that it’s a criminal offence to speak indecently to underage people, therefore the onus is on the individual to act responsibly. In no way, shape or form is putting a real life age on a character profile a compromise, and in fact it’s a ridiculous suggestion. Just don’t ERP, it really is that simple. There’s plenty of erotic fiction on the web if you need it so badly.

It’s not an issue on any RP server usually. This is purely panic over the new rules for ERP, by players who want to make it the server and staff’s responsibility to confirm who they can ERP with.

This isn’t about cussing or violence though, this is hoping staff will make it easier for players to work out who is over 18 therefore can ERP. If someone owns a copy of GTA chances are they’ve seen a lot of violence and heard a lot of cuss words. Just don't ERP ?‍♀️

If done decently, work it out IC. If not; Report the extortion attempts that are poor. Report the improper escalation. On the flip side, report the store owners for lack of fear and poor portrayal if they pull a gun on the mob, or other such criminal enterprises. The tools to combat this issue are already available, and pretty simple to use too.

If you think his attitude is bad you’re going to have a very hard time in general on the server. He is right - reports are needed before things are dealt with.

We have actually been working on turning every new interior block into proper apartments with lobbies and corridors up to the properties themselves. As Notbond said it will take a lot of time but it's a work in progress!

The person who posted this thread originally has been banned so I will be locking and archiving this thread as it was going no where fast. What I would say though is that this is certainly an interesting topic of conversation and should anyone wish to continue it, a new thread could be created in a more civil tone, giving everyone a chance to offer their opinions, rather than just a select few.

If someone is deleting furniture and finds an alien egg under the sofa I would suggest a report to PM, and the FIB.

I doubt anyone is purchasing a second property in a high net worth area to stash stuff and I do agree there should be a tax BUT given there’s no other choice, I don’t think it’s fair to push high levels of tax on people that there’s no support script wise to help.

I’ll support this if the tax stays relatively low. Illegal roleplayers often have two houses - one as a home and the other as a stash house. Given that there’s no current provision for stash houses it would be nice for a system to be introduced to help this issue first, then by all means tax the people who have 5 or more houses and businesses with no good reason.
