People don’t often support custom item script businesses, unless it’s cafes, restaurants, etc. That’s another issue. If you want original businesses, support them when they pop up.

The way it works, or is supposed to, is that any business that can generate a passive income (tattoo parlour, 24/7, tobacco, liquor) don’t need an entrance fee as the script is still accessible even if there’s no one roleplaying there. Often people complain that their passive script business doesn’t make them enough money but they’ve requested it in the middle of no where / have component prices set too high / component capacity set too high. Mismanagement basically. Clubs and bars make little to no money on alcohol items. Custom item businesses make very little money on the items they sell therefore there is the grant to offer a bonus based on ‘successful opening.’ There is an argument that the bonus could be reduced or even set to double the entrance fee but that’s for another topic I suppose.

I would love to see this implemented! Anything that adds to immersion gets a big plus from me.

It’s because tobacco stores were added later with an update that meant you had to have an actual cigarette to use the smoking animations. If we added the cigarettes to gas stations or 24/7s it would basically void the use of tobacco stores entirely. Not everything can be 1 x 1 realism in terms of business setup and that’s just one example of how replication real life entirely would remove the point of an entire business script.

With county jail you only get out if you use the /releaseme command, so that does help to solve the issue of sentences being too short for those who wants to roleplay it.

Faction threads aren’t really a place for an argument about the faction. If you have feedback to provide I strongly urge anyone to PM a faction’s leadership so that the concerns can be dealt with, or not depending on merit. Houses will not become a donator perk. That is not an official statement from PM but I really do not see it happening. Requesting houses would be an administrative nightmare through the UCP also. There’s a lot of available property, and it comes up a lot through forum sales too. Sometimes you just have to be patient.
