there's a lot of tedious things from outside the game that you'd think people would want to avoid but, to our surprise, still happens on the server and are appealing for some people

college lecture rp, maintenance rp, garage rp, anything extremely downtempo that offers very little in character development like being pulled over by police and the situation ending as you'd expect

seems to me that it's all for the atmosphere, it all contributes to something and people do enjoy it

I've had a similar suggestion on the server, LSRP before. I talked about a whitelisting system where classes could be announced through the use of Discord, Illegal Faction Management and Official Gang Facs to manage the school and ensure everything goes smoothly, some of the things I've originally thought of would be;

Classes will no longer take more than five minutes, with only basic and fun lessons being taught, such as, gym classes, which can range from basketball, to track and field, to football, or you could learn swimming lessons, or maybe just sitting in class and talking with your friends whilst the teacher is giving his/her lesson.

Gang roleplay would be more enhanced through the medium of an LS Highschool, with many gang role-players currently present in our server, the interactions between rival faction would seem interesting, with brawls happening right outside, or as previously stated before, a fight in a bathroom or just fighting out in public, there would have to be admins on stand-by though, and probably someone from Law Enforcement assigned to that specific school, there's a role called SROs, or School Resource Officers who would act as "security guards" - etc etc.

This. The high school should focus on the areas of roleplay that would be most beneficial/interesting for factions around the area.

Slice of life RP (I like this term for this sorta stuff) like this should be encouraged. Common sense restrictions in place are really easy, and I think could be agreed on across the board to allow for a neat RP environment. Simple things like mentioned: short classes, focus on extracurriculars, and something aimed at being more of a community thing than what might be considered a traditional 'school' for the sake of RP that isn't just... Well, real school. It has a lot to offer, but it'd certainly require some thought and so on.

It's honestly kinda funny seeing people both whine about illegal RP and what not, while at the same time actively whining about something that could potentially benefit and improve things. Weird sight tbh.

@Maxim if it's not too much to ask, maybe consider opening the doors - So to speak, and getting input from groups in/around the intended areas of engagement. Getting everyone on the same page beforehand will make this incredibly smooth.

Thing is with college lecture RP is that, for the most part, it's a boring and tedious negative (or positive depending on your view) to the many other positives that come with it. There is a university way of life, because it's not all about lectures, exams, and coursework, but also parties, socialising, and drama. You'd get that with school, but the positives are so minor and it's not really the same at all.

I can understand people liking the university RP atmosphere because it's mostly just talking RP, with the potential of something else expanding from it. With school RP, you're meant to have class for hours and hours, while in university you could just have 1 hour per day. I sometimes like doing some tedious RP just as a change of pace, or because I want to do something different; but doing it everyday sounds like a chore. This school RP scenario might sound great but I doubt it'll go on for long. ULSA, however, seems to be growing to the point where even higher-ups in the faction aren't recognising names in it.

how did you get THAT from what i just said

I'm against adding a school, because the novelty will wear off quick just like Greenglass College did in NGRP.

Everyone more than welcome to hit me up, I'm sure it'll be better with input from them. Though as of now we're still waiting for LFM so things are a bit stuck.
