Just to clarify, you haven't personally heard any recording from the Gruppe Six discord as the VC is strictly forbidden. Anyone who is in the Gruppe Six discord can confirm this and would be able to throughout the time it has been an established faction. I hate to say, the recording isn't from our server. On the same note, it couldn't of been anyway, as even OOCly we do not discuss how much we hate criminal RPers on an OOC level, we do not bait RPers into self-defence situations either, as that's not our trade. We deal with criminality the same as any other Security firm would in the present day which does not fall under any situation of "baiting", as weapons are used as a last resort, and only when a direct threat to life is present. We do not control how the RP goes in most to all incidents, that falls on the criminal him/herself, as it's their actions and responses which trigger ours as a result.

 

Would also like to note on this, that without all three licenses Gruppe Six does not allow you to patrol as an armed guard, or even carry your weapon whilst on duty. This is to ensure all of our employees are knowledgeable of regulations and standards which come with the carrying, usage, and safety.

Understandable some of the employees we've had in Gruppe Six were not fit for the role based around their character descriptions and overall image. This is something drastically changing, focusing more upon the T&R sector amongst all other aspects to push as much as we can for that realistic setting.

On a serious note, I actually haven’t had any encounters with any of the faction members so I cannot say much about the faction. Although, from what I have seen, it is a fantastic faction. Lots of people think of the faction members as mall cops because that’s how people think of security guards, but the faction members really aren’t.

As a bit of a backstory, I am actively working as a Gruppe 6 PR Officer and have taken the task to attempt to repair relations between the LSPD and the LSSD. 

 

Recently, the LSPD (not to be confused with the LSSD) has made me literally hate my job and as a result I hate even going on my character as about 80% of the interactions I've had with LSPD Officers ended up with harassment towards me as a Gruppe 6 Member. And whilst people tell me all the time it is an "IC" issue, it simply is not.

 

Most of the rage towards Gruppe 6 is fueled by OOC information (an old video being reposted as a meme) and people simply metagame that into their own knowledge as-if they were there to recall the event and as a result, it only damages relations between Gruppe 6 and LSPD even further. It's gotten to a point where officers are plain and simple harassing us cause we respond to our client calling us onto their property which we are obligated by contract to do. And instead of the officers doing their job, they wasted 15 minutes harassing our security officers.

 

My question is simple; What do you want us to do?

 

Before you respond, here's some typical responses I get:

Stop acting like cops - Provide me with EVIDENCE of such an incident even occurring before even giving me this response, and before you accuse us, I heavily suggest actually doing a bit of research on what we do.

Disband your faction - Sure, but in return, I'd like to see an LSPD Division dedicated to providing club security, mounting security cameras, conducting Cash-in-Transit and checking properties for unlocked doors.

Give the LSPD a nice gift :3 - Done, it ended up being thrown into a bush in front of the Police Department.

Hello! Character name is John Bennett and I've been around the LSPD for roughly eight months and from my experience, I can say that most of the information on why officers are being dicks and assholes towards Gruppe Six is actually aquired through IC means. Here is how. Me personally have been involved in multiple situations with Gruppe Six being present, and most of them weren't specifically the best interactions I've had, not that the person wasn't RPing properly, but the stuff that they were doing making them seem untrained. Such as, on scene of a shooting I've had a Group Six member actively drive over and stop on casings, and when asked why the hell they were doing it, they shrugged it off; had two grouppe six vehicles arrive on a scene of a MVA which I was investigating as if they were driving code three and then out of nowhere began blocking traffic and generally just walking around, acting as my ''backup''; when I was at a scene about a fight in front of a club Groupe Six was conducting security operations at I had a Security Guard try to arrest somebody in front of me and other situations as that. Now, don't get me wrong, all of these situations are completely IC and I hold no grunt against the faction or faction leadership in any way share or form, and I don't have a reason to, but my character just simply doesn't think highly of the company, from what happened and from what he was told through IC means, such as the time Grouppe Six was in pursuit of a vehicle, etc. All of this was gained through IC means, and simply my IC character thinks that Grouppe Six is no good. And yes, there are good memes about Grouppe Six, but that's about it, the same way we have memes about our LSSD friends, and our LSSD friends have high quality memes about the LSPD. It's all IC beef, the same and much more lighter beef then between the LSPD and LSSD.

 

Now, is it possible that some people in the department gained the information through OOC means to think something about Grouppe Six? Sure, I think so, but from personal experience, I'd say it's mainly just what they were told as word gets passed around quite often as well the fact that people sometimes have bad interactions with you. And no, you shouldn't disband your action, but if you feel like it's getting to the point of being a real issue, appeal to the faction leadership through IC means, let the Internal Affairs know and stuff like that, but posting about it through OOC means is not really going to do anything, and if anything, I suggest contacting the faction leadership through private means if you still believe there is an issue about metagaming and such.

 

TL;DR - Most of the information is gained through IC means and not OOC means, speaking from personal experience with the situations involving Grouppe Six and from what was given to my character through IC means, if you still see an issue OOC, get in contact with faction leadership and try to work it out that way.

This thread started out constructive and seems to have quickly turned into an official faction having to defend their reason for even existing. They’re looking for constructive criticism, bad or good. But don’t go around d telling anyone “their RP sucks”. Cmon guys.

Security guards, within the U.S., are able to be armed. I have no idea where you base this concept, from.

Any action, that was handled ICly by G6, was resolved ICly. I.E. Yoska Makula v. Gruppe6. I had enjoyed every single aspect of that R.P. experience as it developed my character, as a whole. I've had zero issues, so far.

I work as a security guard and I can assure you, we have guns, even kevlar vests because we guard multiple administration buildings. We have everything including metal detectors, bomb experts and emergency squads. Yes we are not cops, but as long as we are on property we guard, we technically are cops. Cause cops cannot enter without our escort, to begin with. As for pulling over, as long as it happens within guarded private area, we can do that. Now the rules differ depending on what you are guarding, we are usually encouraged never to use guns or self-defence training, much like cops. If it's possible to avoid such situations, we should do our best to do so. Then we have so-called alarm maps, which are basically objects without physical security. Once the alarm goes off, nearest patrol will put their kevlars on and goes to check the situation. We only call cops, if the situation requires us to pacify the suspect.

I might add that some security groups in my country went even further and included rescue systems and firefighting.
