Every fastfood sells, atleast beers.

Beers, yes. In my country (at least), you can buy beer at McDonalds / KFC, not sure what it's like in the US. But that's about it, you won't find Jagger at Taco Bell.

There should be regulation, but on a case by case basis. Being able to report businesses that are acting in an unrealistic manner should be the way to go. There's no way to otherwise regulate it.

Very very rare. Normally only offered at some trendy fast food chains and even then they are normally only one or two stores in select markets. Taco Bell for example has a few Taco Bell Cantina locations in LA, Las Vegas and I think Texas but they aren't reflective of a larger trend. While not exactly fast food, I worked for a short time at a major movie theater chain that was attempting to implement alcohol offerings at my location. To my understanding the red tape was insane. If say a theater in Southern California received a liquor violation? It would effect the liquor licenses of every other theater in the country. Liquor and liquor licensing laws in the US aren't easily applied to most business models. It's not as simple as just applying for a liquor license for each of your locations, these companies spend millions just making sure even a small section of their locations meet compliance.  The laws and licenses have a pretty standard format that has to be met. Things like the number of barstools you have at the bar can come into consideration. No literally, my theater had brand new barstools delivered only to find out in the final inspection that the license didn't include an allowance for seating at the bar.

Do we need that level of scrutiny? Absolutely not. But I do think it's about time that the government put into place some actual liquor licensing laws. Offering alcohol on GTAW is just like offering gambling. It's an OOC money grab because people know it'll drive people in the door. For some businesses, it makes sense. Casino's should have gambling and bars should have beer. But I shouldn't have players coming into my deli expecting it to serve alcohol just because a lot of other establishments want to throw realism out the window for the sake of getting that sweet, sweet government welfare check.

I had witnessed an ice-cream shop that sold alcohol, at one point. I'm not talking about rum-flavoured ice-cream. It's becoming excessive. Licensing management needs to crack down on these stores and become more strict on licensing businesses.

By the looks of it, it is the same issue with various businesses adapting gambling possibilities by offering poker and blackjack in their restaurant, fast food parlor and other establishments where it would make little to no sense. Though, I hope it will be resolved with business licensing being brought back to life as I personally prefer seeing these issues handled in character rather than the magic hand through OOC means.

Gta World: WE CAN'T HAVE SNOW BECAUSE THERE'S NO SNOW IN CALIFORNIA

Also GTA World: Hey let's serve beer in fast food restaurants.

American fast food joints don't sell alcohol. End of. It doesn't happen. No national chain sells alcohol in the US.

If we're going to base our roleplay on California, or at least the American West, there's absolutely no reason to allow alcohol in fast-food places. Whoever gave them liquor licenses should be fired.

This is the current issue at its core. The problem, as I've been told, is that the IC licensing department became defunct (because of OOC reasons). With that, the IC regulation of these businesses went out the window. I believe I have seen someone comment that this is coming back but at the moment, there are no licenses actually issued via IC means besides the fire inspection. You don't even have to apply for licenses at this point because the government licensing website doesn't exist. Hopefully they have plans in place to bring back the licensing department and start cracking down on these establishments via IC methods.

I am speaking for my old Chipotle, in Sacramento, California. It serve(d) beer when I was last there in 2016.

I am not loosing my mind... here is a picture I found off of google maps of my Chiptole dated December 2019, that fridge on the right you can clearly see bottles of corona in the fridge. Maybe MY chiptole was an exception to the rule but there you have it!
