  1. Do you find yourself wandering around Los Santos struggling to make a roleplay connection? Looking for a unique roleplay experience that dives deep into the gritty underbelly of Los Santos? Join us in creating a vibrant homeless and drug addict community where the streets are our playground and every alleyway holds a story. There is a distinct lack of unkempt, broken, vulnerable, misbehaving drunk/drugged people in this server. Together we can build a community that people are nervous to walk past in the streets. We could fuel the drug trade to new heights, thus enhancing the crime-based roleplay for us, gangs, and the police. Here's what I can envisage for us: Immersive Roleplay: Dive into the shoes of a homeless person or a struggling addict, navigating the challenges of survival and the allure of the next fix. Have you only just fallen into hard times, or are you a veteran of the concrete jungles? Be violent, unpredictable, cunning, dirty, tired, and rough. Endless Possibilities: From makeshift camps under freeway overpasses to hidden drug dens in abandoned buildings to bothering high-end stores by sleeping outside, explore the nooks and crannies of Los Santos as your character seeks shelter, sustenance, and their next high. Protect one another and backstab one another. Community Events: Plan heists to score big, or gather around a makeshift bonfire for storytelling sessions and camaraderie. Establish your own drug ring, peddle substances on the streets, sell your body and soul, or struggle with the demons of addiction as you chase the ultimate high. Run-ins with the Law: Dodge the watchful eyes of law enforcement as you engage in illegal activities. These cops have it too easy, let's be the nuisance that bothers them every damn day. Join us in bringing the streets of Los Santos to life like never before! If you're interested, then add me on Discord. Username - _dscr
  2. This gallery is for anyone who roleplays either homeless or a drug addict; and would like to express your creative outlet on a niche type of RP. Enjoy.

  4. Detailed Description Los Santos, being a major city, happens to have things littered around. This suggestion aims to bring something that would bring roleplay to people who RP as either homeless characters or low-income characters, even extreme cheapskate characters, or anyone that feels like it, really. In short, it's like anything that is currently on the server: Its purpose in existing is for you to interact with it if you so desire, and it along with that, brings a few benefits. It's there, but it's not going to make you rich by any means. I can already see it coming: "But Mistery, you didn't take into account that everyone is going to start dumpster/trash diving! It'd be unrealistic to see a guy drive a 200k sports car only to stop near a trash pile and loot it! Also, it's not Tarkov.." - Well, first off, it would be very environmentally conscious of them to do so - No, to address the concern a little more seriously, the idea here isn't to make people rich off of dumpster/trash diving, unless they really want to spend hours upon hours IRL in order to do so which, would be counter-productive considering there are many more lucrative and profitable ways to earn money and resources. As for the "It's not a survival game/Tarkov" comparisons I know would appear, no. It's not, having such mechanics do not have to be inherently bad, they just have to not grant too much profit. Relevant Commands/Items Here are some items to work with the above: - Any already existing item that would fit as being trash to fill in the gaps, even food items if you so desire. - Small metal scraps. - Small copper wire - Small aluminum scrap Remember that these are not going to give players the ability to craft weapons. They require a metallurgist to process those materials. Script-wise, it would work like this: - Player A goes up to dumpster/trash pile B. As they approach, a prompt shows: "You MUST roleplay looking through dumpsters/trash piles. Failure to do so may result in administrative punishment." - Player A /me's and then proceeds to interact with the dumpster/trash pile with Y, a countdown timer of 60 seconds starts. - Once those 60 seconds have passed, Player A will receive an item, that item will be at random. Rarer items appear at a lower rate, a little like the fish system weirdly enough, if you will. - Player A then decides to either keep the item for their own use, or to sell it if it is one of the rarer items like the "small metal/aluminum scrap" or "small copper wire". Alternatively, /trashitem it if they really don't see a use for any of it. - To sell those rarer items, players will have to find metallurgists as mentioned above. Metallurgist players acquiring those gives them the ability to go to the metallurgy factory to then craft these components into actually useful ones. Here's an example: - x10 Small metal scraps = 1x Metal Scrap - x15 Small copper wire = 1x Refined copper - x15 Small aluminum scrap = x1 Refined aluminum - "Filler" trash or misc items could act as buffers to prevent getting to rarer items too quickly. - Finally, a cooldown timer, say 30-60 minutes would be issued on a player once they have searched through enough dumpsters/trash piles, to prevent excessive "farming". This gives them the time to focus on other roleplay. As a result of this, to further prevent "farming", I suggest that metallurgists, in turn cannot possibly earn the item "Small metal scrap" item. (Unless you happen to want metallurgists being able to do so, in which case I'm not here to decide on either way). And, for those who swear by player interaction and not RPG elements (Which we already have to some extent), I have an idea just for you, but it would naturally require a re-work for the garbage collector job: Try to visualize that trash piles/dumpsters are clothing stores that are to be resupplied. Delivery trucks drive from business to business in order to give these stores stock. Now imagine the opposite for this idea. A trash/dumpster location has say, 100 of stock of trash that it has accumulated over time with a timer. It's full to the brim. Well, a dump truck driver could drive to that location and remove that trash pile, which will in turn make that trash pile unlootable for a period of time. Here are some commands to work in conjunction with it: /scavenge - This is do-able by pressing Y, just thought of adding this just in case. /exchangescrap - This is done at the metallurgy factory, for the metallurgist who has bought the items from the people selling them. How will it benefit the server? So, why exactly this suggestion? Again, it helps create more RP, more RP for people who decide to have characters who could use such a system, but also, especially around jobs that do not get much RP to begin with like the garbage collector or metallurgist having to result to either doing mind numbing copying/pasting of the same /mes, or straight up not roleplaying it all. This system would at the very least increase the chances of interaction between players, whilst also providing a chance* to collect something worthwhile. Besides, it will not inherently break any of the established economy as the yields would be low enough. Unless you prefer to have metallurgist players being able to have a chance to collect the "small metal scrap" item during their dumpster/trash dive. "How about scrap/metal schemes?" - Again, keep in mind that this is different than a full-on scheme. Scrap/metal schemes are explicitly there to make profit. This suggestion isn't there to act as a scheme and doesn't immediately cross into something organized or criminal. The best part is, some aspects of it can be simplified into RPG elements if the player interaction part is too much of a hassle than it's worth, therefore it's perfectly acceptable for it to exist just for the sake of it, much like the hunter job where profit isn't the aim but rather the novelty and aspect of doing it that contributes to RP. An example would be to add /sellscrap near the metallurgy factory for players to just sell some scrap in exchange for just a bit of money. I am not completely sure if this thread below still remains relevant so take the "copper/aluminum" items above with a grain of salt, if they don't exist anymore in-game. But I guess this still stands as a proof of concept in a way for the existing metal parts. Whoever reads this suggestion, thank you for taking the time to do so. I hope the suggestion was clear enough! I tried my best to balance the idea as best as I could, but as with every of my suggestions, if anyone has other ideas to put on the table to add or improve this, feel free to do so.

  6. Too late to feel sorrow Too late to feel pain He's just an old hobo And he's Lost out in the rain He'd never cause trouble So don't have no fear He's just an old hobo And he'll soon be far away from here INTRODUCTION The Strawberry Bums, or known to the locals as simply 'The Bums', are a small group of less fortunate community members who have resided in Los Santos for eight years, after the great financial crisis of 2012. These community members found themselves hard-up after many of them lost their jobs, and in turn their families and homes. The code of the hobo is a strong one: "What's ours is ours and what's theirs is ours... if we ask politely". Though the group have their domestic disputes and battles, they all see one another as the family they never had. A hobo will always look out for another hobo in times of need, and the bond they have is like no other in the city. Viewed as second class citizens; sub-human scum and detriments to society, the Strawberry Bums have had to evolve and develop a tough outer skin when it comes to mingling with the public, which they tend to keep to a minimum. The police force seem to pity them, though they are viewed as no threat - a lot of them too old to run let alone cause trouble. There are hobos of all shapes and sizes within this community, as despite the racial slurs they all use, they are not discriminatory. If someone needs a bed for the night, they'll offer it. If they've got spare food and someone needs it, it's theirs. They look after one another as though they are relatives, and if you pick on one hobo you're usually picking on the pack. HISTORY After the great financial crisis of 2012, many people became redundant and then therefore unable to provide for their families and their homes. A lot of these mainly immigrant residents migrated back home, whereas some chose to stay and try to rebuild. For those that opted to stay, the rebuilding process wasn't always easy. It led some down a path of drugs, drink and crime. It led others down a path of inner peace and solitude, now they no longer relied on materialistic things. The name 'Strawberry Bums' was a name given to the group by residents of the Strawberry/Davis area, however the collective has since claimed it their own. Their presence within the community became noticed when a certain Fred J. Frederickson decided to take a lot of people in to his shelter as his own. He's seen as a father figure to most, and a drunken hobo waster to others - but still his group remains the centre of his life. Other founding members such as Joseph Jones, Karen Kurtis and Happy Henry are leaders within the group, often keeping the younger members in line. They are dirty, certainly not house-trained and are most certainly a burden on society - but they're also a group of prideful, respectful citizens who just need a break. PRESENT DAY Nowadays, the bums can be found in and around the under-pass at Strawberry, where they have created a small ghetto. Their regular shop, "Strawberry 24/7", has accepted the fact that they're not going anywhere and has taken them in with open arms. One staff member even quoted something as lovely as, "Hey, at least they pay". The older males in the community tend to have a bit more traction when it comes to making decisions, whereas females of all ages are used to generate income... Not that this is ever successful. They are not criminals, intentionally. They're not a group of thugs who mug and steal - they make their money through begging predominantly. Though some of them choose to offer their services in terms of soliciting, this is not too prevalent in the community. CHARACTER PROFILES OOC INFORMATION The Strawberry Bums are a collective of individuals who are after a break from the standard bar scene roleplay. Though they may be perceived as 'trolls' by the outside community, people who actually attempt to interact with them will see that Roleplay is our highest aim. You will never get bored if you come across one, or a group of these individuals and many people can vouch for the experience we provide. If you're interested in becoming a bum, then all you have to do is choose a skin/make a rough looking character, and hang around the Strawberry underpass (pictured below). There are no requirements for joining, besides a high level of roleplay. We do not reserve the right to CK characters as that is not our motto. We are not participants of gang wars, drug wars or any illegal activities as quite frankly, our characters are either too mentally disabled or too poor to participate in such. If you fancy a change, and what to give a different style of roleplay a go, come and hit us up. Everyone is welcome!
