  4. Username: Anonymous Comment: I saw Diana Jones at a grocery store in Vespucci yesterday. I told her how cool it was to meet her in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother her and ask her for photos or anything. She said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but she kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing her hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard her chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw her trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in her hands without paying. The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Miss, you need to pay for those first.” At first she kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter. When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, she stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, she kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

  7. the bureaucracy here has somehow made playing a videogame about as engaging as waiting in a queue at a dmv
  8. one of the strangest failings of this server is that it's actually less interesting to follow than irl, like there's quite literally less corruption, less incompetence and less overall shit going on on a macro level idk how you guys even achieved that with what should be limitless creative freedom
  9. this place will never, ever be a replacement for a social life, relationship or job the amount of people you come across here who clearly need an intervention is disturbing
  10. Just leave them out, they add absolutely nothing except to the vanity of the people who so desperately want one. There's no reason to have gravestones that everyone on the server has to see. If you want them that badly for your/your friends character then go add a client side mod for them.
  11. Please leave out the gravestones/stuff for individual characters but yeah otherwise it's cool.

  13. people take this place too seriously, who cares just have fun dude
  14. does it matter? they're interesting and break up the general stale meta of the server but the answer to your question is more it depends on what the goal is, most things on this server are oocly controlled so if you're protesting don't really expect much to change. tbh it really is a shame how political roleplay can be so meaningless and oocly constrained that people would actually ask this question lmao
  15. this is kinda misrepresenting that statistic, no? a job in most gov factions pays between 50-100k a week for something like what, 4-8 hours ig during that week. at $760 an hour you'd need to spend 65 hours in game, so almost three days straight of ig time in a week to get to the lower range of that, and the upper range almost 5/6 days straight of that entire week lol you would expect it to be the largest money source of spawned money on the server considering it's given out hourly to most players on the server, in an hours game time with 800 players you could potentially see 400k or so of money spawned that hour, but because it's split across say 500/600 of those 800 players it really doesn't amount to much at all $500 of gtaw monopoly money is literally nothing, it's hardly enough to even get you a beer. if you want to buy a middle class car w/ that you literally need anywhere between 100-150 hours of those paycheques, it's not even like it really matters anyway, the make believe money here is literally worthless besides buying assets you need to roleplay/access certain ig areas and activities, there's no real benefit to making it harder to access except if you share the OP's mindset where you think limiting what people can do to the shallow choices of available options is desirable
  16. it's about having money to do anything, remove the unemployment cheques and a non-zero number of people will have no income whatsoever besides the 200k you get from the initial 40 hours on the server, that's literally the point of the OP, forcing people to grind scripted jobs/work as bartenders or strippers just to actually get enough gtaw monopoly robux to play it's anti-roleplay and it's bad tbh, all it does is just makes it difficult for people with concepts that don't fit in the very limited scope of faction/bartender/stripper/scripted job that this place has to offer
  17. really all this does is make it even harder to roleplay anything outside of the small number of existing legal factions (several of which don't even have a payment scheme)/scripted jobs/limited number of businesses that are opened... it's literally anti-roleplay, i'd honestly like to just see the $500 cheque increased (i know it will never happen) but from my experience it wasn't really enough to cover much of anything even the $5,000 p/h cheque at the start isn't good tbh, it can take hours to get enough to actually start doing anything at all, i wonder how many interesting rp ideas people have had haven't been realized because they simply lacked make believe monopoly money

  21. LATEST | NEWS Operation Zookeeper: Chamberlain Hills LSSD operation leads to mass arrests targeting two violent street gangs At least fifteen arrests are made after the Los Santos Sheriff's Department's Operation Zookeper targets the street gangs Chamberlain Varrio Tortilla Flats 13 and 18th Street Hoover Locos in response to one of the deadliest weeks in the department’s history By PHOEBE HOLTER LOS SANTOS - Grouped together outside the LSSD’s mobile command post situated in Davis, mixed emotions lingered in the air as LSSD deputies from a range of departments were debriefed following the conclusion of Operation Zookeeper. Launched on the 26th of December in response to the murder of ten deputies in late December, the four day department-spanning operation has been described by some in the LSSD as the “[largest] operation the state of San Andreas has ever witnessed”. While the increasing escalation in gang violence South Central has been widely reported over the past months, the recent murders of ten deputies in the space of a week during the holiday period marked a new, bloody nadir for both the department and the city at large. Lt. Vincent Castillo, SEB “Sadly, for the families of these ten deputies, the holidays will never be the same,” reflected Undersheriff Naomi Takada in a televised interview. “We see this as unacceptable, inhumane even. Only animals are up to violence of this magnitude.” Believed to be behind the recent spate of murders is the umbrella gang Chamberlain 13, composed of the two predominantly Hispanic violent street gangs Chamberlain Varrio Tortilla Flats 13 and 18th Street Hoover Locos. With one of the highest homicide rates in South Los Santos and home of the infamous “death alley”, Chamberlain Hills is a multi-racial neighborhood blighted by generational poverty, substance abuse and more pertinently: continual gang violence stemming from groups such as Chamberlain Varrio Tortilla Flats 13 (often shortened to CVTF). With coordination from the Sgt. Leroy Miles (OSS), SEB and OSS involved in operation there this evening were involved the arrests of not only “fifteen plus affiliates” but according to Lt. Medina of the LSSD OSS, the apprehension of all primary suspects involved in the recent murders of deputies. Aerial shot during Operation Zookeeper, published on Facebrowser by Operation Safe Streets “We got all the cop-killers, all three of them”, Lt. Medina commented. A Facebrowser post by the Operation Safe Streets page also revealed that a “plethora of unlicensed and prohibited firearms” had been seized during the operation. “There's nothing to be jubilant about. We lost good men a week ago to gang violence, we know this isn't the end of it. Not by far.” - Lt. Jonathan Medina, LSSD OSS Despite managing to undertake such an operation without suffering any casualties, seemingly, there was not much room for a celebratory mood amongst those in the department. Shots had been fired at a group of six deputies and Sheriff Joseph Cline was evacuated during a televised interview on Forum Drive after one suspected gang member “tried to drive into Sheriff Joseph Cline while wielding a firearm” according to Undersheriff Takada in a later interview. Both suspects were fatally wounded after deputies involved in the operation returned fire. Arrest on Forum Drive, Sherriff Joseph Cline out of shot to the right “Hopefully this operation will be a reminder to every person out there, every criminal, every civilian, every child and elderly person, the Sheriff's Department is working day in and day out to keep the streets and neighborhoods safe, and we'll continue to do so nonstop” - Lt. Vincent Castillo, LSSD SEB But the operation also highlights a situation that is clearly worsening. Ten murders of members of law enforcement agencies in the space of a week, prompting an operation of this scale suggests the war against gang crime is not warming up, but reaching fever pitch. On the surface, it appears that morale in the department does seem to be high after apparent successes of the operation. However, the sudden and abrupt loss of so many colleagues in such a small period of time must be taking its toll on those in the department who find themselves on the front-lines. Undersheriff Naomi Takada ,Lt. Jonathan Medina (center), Sherriff Joseph Cline (right) There was an explicit acknowledgement from those in the department that despite the successes of the operation in achieving its primary goal of apprehending those involved in the murder of those ten deputies, this was not a repeat of the VR-13 situation from earlier this year where targeted arrests had crippled the gang in question. Undersheriff Naomi Takada during her televised interview warned that the department “[would] not stand for any further violence in the area” and that “follow-up operations will occur if the area does not stabilize itself”. “It's important to reiterate that is the start of something, we ain't stopping. We're keeping the press on to keep the streets safe.” - Det. Andre Thompson, LSSD OSS While it is not yet clear if such follow-up operations will be deemed necessary, what has been made exceedingly clear is that the department is sending a message. Despite suffering such horrendous losses of colleagues over the past month, their mission evidently remains undeterred. Time will tell just how impactful tonight's arrests have been and if the Chamberlain Hills area can finally find respite from the bloody cycle of gang violence that has cost the lives not only ten deputies this month, but also those of the teenagers who find themselves caught in the brutal cycle of gang violence.
