Given how much the community has grown I'm behind this fully.

Combine the shitty RAGEMP streamer with lots of cars and people (Davis is a perfect example) and you'll get this. I doubt there's anything you can do about it besides wait for a possible fix, although don't quote me on that.

I'm against this for the most part. Reason being is that from what I understand is that the "issue" with "unrealistic" response times presents itself mostly in insanely high-crime areas like Davis/Rancho/JT. From my experience in the LSPD, the greatest portion of police responses in those areas get prompted from an officer calling backup because they heard shots or saw something and don't stem from 911 calls - because as you might guess cops will heavily patrol high-crime areas, so delaying 911 calls won't solve the "issue" in those areas. On the other hand, this will give illegal RP an unfair advantage while we're trying to focus on balance. One minute is an eternity in this game. It's plenty of time to get away, given how small the map is compared to real-life LA.

Without reading all the replies. There's a detailed explanation in the LSPD manual about the dashcam (or Digital In-Car Video System as the manual calls it) such as recording duration, failsafe systems, automatic/manual saving et cetera. Meaning there shouldn't be any confusion there. There are still some unclarities such as where audio is recorded though. Details about audio recording (where, when) are also in the manual. As for civilian dashcams, I RP'd buying and installing a very specific model in my car, screenshotted with a vstats and timestamp to avoid issues. If you Google this very specific model dashcam, you can find every single detail about how it works. Very simple.

The "fake" fire alarms seems bad. In the beginning it'll be fun, but at some point FD will get tired of responding to fire alarms because 90% of them will be fake. Otherwise I'm for the idea. Perhaps fire alarms could be installed by a private business (to provide more business opportunities) instead of the FD. I realize this suggestion was made ages ago but considering it's still open...

Scriptwisely I don't think there's any way to get rid of your license plate. You can of course drive around in an unregistered car, but that will catch attention from any patrol units and your car will get destroyed if you're caught after evading (in an unregistered car) so make sure not to get a too expensive car. Not to mention that cars without license plates parked on public roads will most likely get impounded if seen by a cop, so there's that.

It's really very easy to determine if the driver crashed or the vehicle is desynced, at which point nobody will issue a ticket - the most we'll do is move it to the side of the road (if it's unlocked and the engine is on). Speaks for itself, really?

Honestly this makes no sense. If you witness poorly roleplayed crime there, file a report - simple as. I agree that plenty of the shit happening in Davis and the crime rate appear unrealistic, although being lucky enough to live in a virtually crime-free area IRL I can't really speak for that. You have to also take into account that there's plenty of random players that head into these areas to deliberately cause a fuss. If you cuss out a gang member in their own hood, public view or not, you're bound to get beat the fuck up or shot. Obviously, at their own risk - getting caught for murder by the police often means a forced character kill (life in jail). What I also agree with is that the business script needs minor changing, there's plenty of characters being forced to head to a literal warzone because it's the only open general store on the map.

I would LOVE this, but the problem I encountered in other servers is that people might use /b for legitimate reasons and then you won’t see it. People also tend to use /do as a substitute to /b once they realize it’s disabled...
