  1. Without being transparent this new tier system is no different to suppliers as IFM still has the option to deny somebody from being moved up a tier and provide 0 reasons for doing so, the amount of factions that will have to reviewed will still be the same as now + the tier reviews so it will increase the workload. This system will not replace the suppliers and getting rid of suppliers will not make things better because you would have to wait a full year to get decent amount of guns/drugs and even then it's nowhere near what current suppliers are getting. So everyone will still keep applying for the supplier status so I don't see how will this reduce the workload except the opposite.
  2. Let me get into a couple of three things. The fact that this is mentioned it's clearly on someones mind that the community has this perception, I think everyone knows what's what but let's keep this sensitive topic for another time. My questions would be why does IFM seek to "solve" issues by creating more issues? The team is incredibly small for the amount of workload and new members appear once in a blue moon and half the time they end up kicked out quicker than they joined. This kind of system would create an insane workload for all of you and having mentioned that "faction favouritism" the new system basically opens the door for it to continue/exist The fact that factions can be denied moving up a tear already gives plenty of room for such things to happen, of course given actual punishments etc it's fine for them to be denied from moving up however is this how will that system function or will it function like the supplier system where nobody has a clue on why they were denied and never receive a response? In my opinion this will create nothing but extra workload and dissatisfaction within the community "Why should X faction receive this if we are so much better blah blah they are bunch of dmers trash rpers" IFM already cannot deal with their own workload such as the group system. Despite having clear guidelines and rules that groups cannot start out as existing organisations with a high tier hierarchy 99% of the factions made in groups have 0 "growth" and start out as full fledged OC's, MC's etc. Many concepts that shouldn't exist which I will not name due to obvious reasons exist just fine in groups section and nobody bothers to do anything about it. The group system is a big issue while it has it's positives anyone that has been here since 18-19 will probably agree with me that the quality of factions has gone down immensely ever since the group system came out because there is 0 filter, people that have 0 reason to even become "official" which means absolutely nothing outside a faction script, can safely exist and do whatever they please. If this proposal is a way to combat the "lack of guns/drugs" issue maybe the right idea would be to clean up the groups and start pushing for some standards so that there would be actual candidates for supplies, maybe give feedback to people that apply for said drug/gun suppliers so there is actual transparency on why someone was denied and maybe they could improve from it. IFM already discusses said applications, there is no reason that the applicant is unable to receive responses regarding their application. Opening up the floodgates for more people getting guns/drugs because of "good behaviour" despite the fact that there is a clear lack of quality factions (there is some good ones of course) is just going to further lower the standards because all people will have to do is be patient and try not to dm so much and they will get access to guns/drugs Any long time criminal rper will easily tell you that there is no issues with guns or drugs, if you are somebody that murders 10-15 people a week and lose 5 guns per week then I don't think this system is even aimed at you. I think instead of trying to shift to RPG elements such as turfs, the groups system should be revised and a focus on promoting actual quality roleplay/factions is what should be looked at first rather than giving more toys to more people to create more problems.
  3. @EyatesAvailable right now, what is your #
  4. They are not Illegal in San Andreas because the gov icly or the admins oocly have not made them illegal it's simple as that. While the tobacco supplier is "illegal" technically not a single item that they receive is illegal and nothing can be done about it icly due to the fact that IC laws around this do not exist which is a simple oversight because cigars are "relatively" new and they never took off because nobody really consumes them all that much and there isn't a player base to support purchases of 1-2k cigars every month alongside 10-20k cigarettes. As for your issue going by the rules you do need to have actual cigars items to sell them as such as you can't be selling "blah blah blah cigar (food)" because actual cigar items exist. The cigar system should simply be changed for the suppliers so that they could rename them into their own brands so that whoever gets in touch with them could place specific others. This would allow for the cigar supplier to be a legal/illegal supplier whre they could choose to rp importing illegal cigars such as cubans if made illegal by IC law while at the same time also importing legal ones. This would create more roleplay for them and the fact that custom orders could be made in my opinion would make a lot more people interested in seeking out tobacco suppliers.

    Map changes

This could be a good addition too, more housing as well and looks way better.
  6. @NervousIs there any plans to allow multiple bank accounts to be made? So for example you could make a "savings" account even though it doesn't have interest, but for roleplay purposes to have like different bank accounts etc, maybe even open accounts under fake makes or something like that?
  7. More roleplay, less shooting.
  8. This is the rp content I come to see, fuego keep it going.
  9. The issue lies entirely within what "Roleplay" is, for every person out there it means something different. Each person comes here with different experiences and a different understanding of what roleplay is. In my personal opinion, there is a few things that are responsible for this issue, one of them being unable to take an "L" there is a lot of ooc pride and feelings involved in characters. Many people can't take the ego hit if they are made look bad IC so they do whatever they can to prevent that because it's rp and they have the "option" to do so but that doesn't lead to good roleplay. There is also the "It's a game, it should be fun" Issue which is true but the problem with that statement is that everyone finds fun in different ways. For some people, fun is being realistic and carrying things out in a realistic manner and developing realistic stories. For others having fun means carrying out robberies every day and ending up in wars with other factions. As long as the rules are not broken we just have to deal with it and accept it. On the subject of factions, the issue is of hive minds. I am sure that people who have been roleplaying for a long time will notice that many factions act like hive minds, if you bump shoulders with one of the members and neither side wants to take an L it will usually lead to shootouts over the pettiest things. And I think at least on the criminal side of roleplay this is the biggest issue that exists on the server that can only be changed by faction leaders and roleplayers themselves. Mostly in OCG concepts a hive mind doesn't exist, most of the time OCG's have more internal conflicts than external due to people being individuals and getting into these organisations for personal gain, loyalty and so on exists of course but it only goes so far when personal gain and safety comes into play. On gtaw you will rarely see disagreements about simple things, if X member gets beat up 99% of the time the whole faction will back them without question, will not ask on why they got beat up or what lead to it. Maybe they are wrong? Maybe they deserved to get beat up, there is rarely any of that, every faction and every leader they are always right. There isn't much respect between bosses, in most cases faction leaders would go to war to protect the most insignificant member of their faction instead of sacrificing said member to a long standing business partner that might have a good reason to ask for their death. When it comes to war everybody in most cases is fine with it while in reality, it would never go that way. If some chump that's a nobody ends up in trouble and I have to go risk my life for him there would be a lot of questions, what has he done what does he bring to the table? Is his life worth protecting over X amount of other guys that might be making more money for everyone and bringing more benefits? People also like to get into conflict. After all, there isn't much loss to it when the term gets used "conflict is bad for business" usually doesn't mean anything because there aren't many expenses, forcing someone to go into hiding and shutting down their operations isn't going to burn a hole in their bank accounts, it will simply just stop growing but it won't decrease. So people don't need to be scared of conflict on an ooc level, however, these kinds of things should still be rped but this is where different types of rp mentalities come in and that's something that the admin team can't change, it has to come from the community itself or the individual himself. With how open and free the concept of roleplay is and the amount of people on the server we will never be on the same page, there will be differences and arguments on how things should be the only thing that you can do is surround yourself with like minded people and try to do better than most and stick to it even if you end up running into sub par roleplay, don't lower your standards because of a bad experience or two.
  10. Congrats @Brian3898 @heathen @Lomadias
  11. Most people aren't "car enthuasiasts" when we talk gtaw they are either Intial D fans or Need for Speed fans. There wouldn't be issues with people driving their riced out cars that scrape every 3 meters if people roleplayed that, it's not difficult. But the problem is that people do not roleplay drawbacks of riced out cars, I mean most people don't even want to roleplay car crashes and try to play the desync card. Even when they are pretty much forced to roleplay those crashes they will be back on the road with the car 10 minutes later once the scene is done.
  12. The Yakuza for sure does exist in LA, California and USA. But it does not exist in the type of way that 99% of this server wants to portray it. Countless times many iterations of IFM have talked about this issue and always given the same answer. I'm not sure on the current IFM's stance. But the way Yakuza operates in USA is basically a legitimate front. They are mostly into porn and real estate and no they are not going around day to day sitting at those businesses. They invest money from Japan in USA to wash it or simply hide their money from the Japanese government. They play with big money in USA, for example the Riviera Country Club (GWC in gta 5) Was bought by Japanese owners who are linked with the Yakuza in Japan. Rping a Yakuza in USA would mean 1-3 guys that are investing money for the Yakuza in Japan, buying businesses etc. They do not commit your regular crime they do not go around the streets with fancy suits and full body tattoos selling 50 grams of meth to a local gang banger in Compton. What was mentioned above in the comments, your rp of laundering money for the Yakuza in Japan, or shipping things back to Japan would not yield you profit or create revenue, it would be "fake" rp. The only part that you could really do is rp investing money into a business and run it. That's it, but that would require you to already have considerable assets to portray that. If somebody actually wanted to do the realistic portrayal probably no one would have an issue with it because all you would be doing is rping civilians. But the sad truth is that people want to roleplay fancy suits, blacked out v12's and full boddy tattoos with finger cutting and the whole intiation ceremonies alongside racing riced out elegies.
  13. I always had the idea that "JDM" vehicles should be locked behind importers. There could be a lot of roleplay for actual vehicle dealerships or car shops to do what those shops do in real life and that is roleplay importing those cars from overseas I'm sure it wouldn't be a lot of scriptwork to introduce ability for owners of a business to be able to purchase a vehicle which then would be on a cool down for lets say a week before it becomes available, it would require roleplay and while it's hopeful doesn't mean we shouldn't try. I think restricting future "JDM" vehicle sales that wouldn't really be available to just buy readily in USA should definitively be locked behind some sort of importing/dealership business that is ran by players.
  14. Best faction video to this day, unfortunate to see the longest faction on the server close defintively one of the best Sureno factions GTAW has seen.
  15. Supporting this, there needs to be some upkeep for vehicles, barely anyone rps maintanance on their vehicles and the scripted one ends up happening once every three months if driven constantly.
  16. It should be removed, no question about it.
