  1. For me these replies can be summed up as such: "Get there, grab them and go. We don't wanna wait around for you to RP nor does anyone else." GSW's are boring 'cause they're so frequent, a quick grab and go doesn't solve anything and makes the RP on our end very dull and pretty meaningless. I get that nobody wants to sit around and watch someone being treated but the RP for FD needs to be enjoyable too. There needs to be a balance where emotes (/me's) are snappy and RP progresses at a satisfactory pace while also being meaningful for the EMT's on scene otherwise it's utterly forgetful. Seeing someone shot on the ground is not a minor thing to be brushed off.

  2. There needs to be more emphasis on load and go rather than encouraging the faction members to perform surgeries on the sidewalk. It's not enjoyable for the person to sit through 10 lines of medical terms they don't understand because someone that recently got ILS certified wants to try to set up an IV due to a pulse being slightly below normal. It's not enjoyable either for the cops to stand around waiting to be shot at. This results in the cops putting pressure on FD and that makes FD hate the scene too.

  3. Hello, I use peds and I know some others do aswell I was wondering if it was possible to get more of the alternate faces? They're definitely a lot more then the ones we currently have.. we have about 3-4 sometimes less on the gang skins, a friend of mine told me it was impossible.. but I figured i'd ask and see what the response would be. Here's a example of SalvaGoon03GMY Every ped in this image is SalvaGoon03GMY Here's a list of gang peds I would hope to see more faces for, if possible. SalvaBoss01GMY SalvaGoon01GMY SalvaGoon02GMY SalvaGoon03GMY FamCA01GMY FamDD01 FamDNF01GMY FamFor01GMY Families01GFY MexGoon01GMY MexGoon02GMY MexGoon03GMY BallaEast01GMY BallaOrig01GMY Ballas01GFY BallasOG BallaSout01GMY Honestly I'm not even sure if every single one of these peds has faces that we don't have, figured I'd throw each gang in there though. I'm pretty indifferent to the rest, SalvaGoon03GMY is what I'd really like to see though since it seems to have the most varying faces.

  4. I joined FD based on how detailed and immersive the RP is. People take the piss in replying and that's what puts me off going to certain calls. I remember on one scene asking an officer 4 times in a /do something. This took about 15 minutes just to get the injuries so I can treat them. I for one am not gonna push it sub par RP for the sake of some half arsed person not wanting to go along with RP, most if the time a situation THEY got themselves involved with. As for 'speeding' our /me's and /do's, what we ask are basics and making medical RP short is something I am against completely. For instance an MVA, paramedics dont spend two minutes and throw the person in the back to transport. They are there for a long time, assessing each victim and prioritizing. On another note, using these fancy machines is not a part of our training so we cant be expected to RP it. Our BLS training is severely out of date and needs a full revamp which I think is currently being worked on. What you see on scene is the bare minimal basics we are trained to use. Shortening that further just makes the RP bland and uninteresting. Sounds like people are asking for sub par RP to save a bit of time which is a joke. We should be promoting RP, not minimizing it.

  5. The first part of this response is aimed at PD. A lot of the comments I'm seeing shows the people writing them don't appreciate the gravity of shooting someone, nor the RP it entails. This is a roleplay server, not a DM server. PD shouldn't be shooting people, standing around for 20 minutes while FD do what they need to do then driving off and forgetting they just shot someone. I've watched countless videos of post shots fired incidents involving police, the amount of work they conduct after shooting someone is tremendous, something not being replicated in game. There's a running incident log, police officers firearms are bagged and tagged for evidence, an investigation into the shooting is established to deem whether it was lawful or not. It's all well and good saying it's boring watching FD treat someone, when you're dropping people like flies and stopping your RP there. You might feel more immersed in your roleplay if you treated gunshot scenes more realistically (talking to PD), rather than popping a suspect and waiting to jump onto your next call. This next part is aimed at the victims requiring medical attention. If you don't tab out and take 5 mins to reply to a /do, it'd be a hell of a lot quicker for us to not only treat you but enjoy treating you. You'll find fluid roleplay is more enjoyable than FD repeating /do's and not being able to have their medical RP flow because you're bored and tabbed out. If you don't understand a piece of roleplay, ask, we won't bite. At FD; This is something we all need to work on, streamlining roleplay so that it keeps flowing on our behalf. I've seen many a time units arrive on scene to stand around for 5 minutes before they figure out what they need to do. Medica roleplay needs to be incredibly fast paced and on the go like it is in real life. More equipment needs to be used to help streamline this RP, I've had plenty of dealings with the ambulance service in the UK, Ive watched plenty of documentary series on their work in the UK and abroad. Not once have I seen any of them put a finger on someone radial or carotid artery and time the beats on their watch as they calculate a pulse. Things like Lifepaks and other mobile ECG equipment needs to be used. Thanks to pulse oximeters and other equipment a person's breathing rate is never really measured, if they need oxygen it's provided, if they are hyperventilating it's obvious. A lot of the repetitive drone/bot RP we are taught to carry out needs removing.

  9. Quoted for truth. Should we ask PD to stop roleplaying arrests fully, and just use commands to drag people into cells? Should we ask mechanics to use script commands and /me paints the car? No, we expect everyone to RP to their fullest at all times. Asking one person to not do that defeats the point of a roleplay server. The issue is the sheer volume of shooting callouts we recieve. Since this thread was posted, there have been what, 6 shooting calls? And that happens EVERY day. We don't have the manpower, the willpower, or the desire to deal with that number of calls in such a short time, when the RP is exactly the same every single time. There are more shootings in GTAW's LS, with a population of a few thousand - and a few hundred at any one time - than there are in most cities in real life, with populations of millions. This is wrong for a server that's meant to be about heavy roleplay, and we need stricter enforcement of fear to reduce that number. Here are some of my thoughts for If a non-PD player opens fire without first being fired upon/having their life threatened, they are automatically CKed upon death in that scenario. If a player is lawfully killed by PD, they risk a CK. If a player is lawfully killed by PD with more than, say, 5 cops present, they're force CKed. A CK must be approved by staff on a PD/FD member who is killed during a shootout. I feel these points will even the balance of people simply shooting their way out of arrests, will reduce the number of shootings taking place, and will prevent PD and FD taking disproportionate amounts of CKs - We spend a LOT of time working our way into the factions, and a lot of OOC effort goes into our applications, interviews, and trainings. For us to be liable to being targeted at random for 'being in the wrong place' is wrong. There is NO reason to shoot at on-duty FD members, and shooting at a cop has grave circumstances IRL - ones that aren't able to be enacted in-game, such as nearby CCTV, witnesses (there'd be millions of people in LS, not a few hundred), etcetera.

  10. Fines in a criminal setting exist and they go to the state, which is what I believe the player is suggesting. You're confusing civil trials where the victim is suing the defendant for a specific tort (battery for example) and criminal trials, where the courts simply determine guilt and issue criminal penalties that include things like imprisonment and fines. As to the suggestion, I believe that only when the district attorney system gets implemented should offenders get fined. Financial penalties have to be carefully crafted by courts to ensure that the fine isn't unconstitutional.

  11. I honestly like to roleplay wounds to an extent I am afraid of wasting everbody's time with it. Although it depends on what wounds, with daily shootings like twice per hour and limited FD /EMT staff I understand they don't wanna spend thirty minutes on one scene. Plus when it comes to wounds in general, one's roleplay is highly limited by said wound or wounds. A man heavily bleeding from being shot, will have trouble even focusing on speaking. So it puts more pressure on FD as they have to roleplay majority of the scene, especially if the victim is unconscious already where the whole roleplay from their side is limited to informative descriptions of the scene. Also @Roach roleplaying a headshot wound where you haven't died is not as hard as people may think. The damage system exists for that purpose, to check what injuries you have and move on from there. A bullet just scratching your head as it flies by can put your body to a state you can barely even talk, cause you are shocked and you believe you are dying. But in the end it all depends on the scene and it's surroundings, plus how much time are people willing to invest into that scene.

  12. Malt Salt: The Alamo Alehouse Published: 2nd of June, 2019 Author: Emilia Russo Nestled comfortably outside the doldrums of the city's numerous clubs, yet inside the overlooked Sandy Shores between Marina Drive and Algonquin Boulevard is the Alamo Alehouse. Touting itself as the state's "place for anyone", the Alehouse is the latest business by hospitality entrepreneur Stefano "Stef" Baldasarra and his step sister Carina B; united as step siblings by the marriage of Stefan's father with Carina's mother. Either can usually be found behind the bar with their own unique approaches to hospitality. Stefano hailed from Napoli (Naples) over a decade ago when he was just 23. Wasting no time, Stefano flew through the University of San Andreas, Los Santos with Francesco Senarighi. Together they leapt into bartending jobs, built up their capital and leased their first bar in their late twenties; plucking the ownership of established venues The Vault and the Muscle Peach bar for their portfolios. His fellow European Carina traversed from the Netherlands to San Andreas to join Stefano in becoming "all-American Followers of the American Dream". As Stefano's straight-man foil, Carina humorously considered herself a "family asset, and as you can tell, he needs a lot of help" by tending her own openings as a pseudo-co-owner whenever Stefano isn't around due to gallivanting on his business obligations elsewhere, sometimes even at Sneaky Pete's (the West Vinewood equivalent). Nearly 2 months into the venture is no mean feat in a business scene flitting through a revolving door of owners staking their own superfluous GRAND OPENINGS. Stefano Baldasarra & Carina B The Alehouse is a whip of fresh air in an arid town; as both Stefano and Carina effortlessly explain: Stef: Well, that's the whole point. Our place? We want it to be like family. The best friend you can always turn to. The bartender that you know will take care of you, give you a ride home if you're too drunk, or call a cab. We have pretty high standards for ourselves, and for the people we would employ. So we end up picking up most of the slack ourselves. Yeah, that's why it's hard for us to employ other people. I don't see this as a job, it's not something I clock out of. Around Sandy Shores, we're the people folks can turn to if they have a genuine issue, or just want an ear to talk to. Carina: Taken two stumbling lasses home now myself. With such a focus on keeping things focused on a friendly environment, what are their views on employing people in the near future? Stef: We haven't even tried, truth be told. Like Carina said, the two of us take care of openings like clockwork, and Frankie's always brewing enough to keep our cooler full. Carina: Haven't done it. Hands-on approach to our business. While now is comfortable, what is the future for the Alehouse and their second similar venue calling the city its home? Stef: I think in the long-term, we're going to repeat our current business model. We're building a very strong collective of people that regularly come. And our regulars, once strangers to each other, are becoming friends too. That's the most fulfilling part to me. Is knowing people are making friends because of my business, friendships that last beyond the walls of my bar. Maybe even the state. Most places I go, everyone's on their phones. Sitting in corners of the bar, all anti-social like. Carina: Just need to be engaged. Stef: It's the bar's fault, for not making you feel comfortable enough to speak to strangers. I strike up conversation with every person that comes through my doors, and I try and spur them into making conversations with my other patrons. This way I help break the ice for folks to get to know each other. Carina: It ain't hard. How's it been, where you from, been here long? Whaddya do. Stef: It really isn't... But it takes a little effort. Effort not many other bars are willing to give. I think Carina would agree... Since we're so far outta' Los Santos, we feel like we have to bring more to the table to encourage people to make the drive. That's why we offer a very different environment than nearly all the bars in the city. All of this without mentioning the house special Alamo Ale: Stef: So we've drank a near infinite amount of beer. We bring that experience to our brewery. Alamo Ale is an old-school beer, something that's reflective of how old-school Sandy Shores is. It's a brownish ale too, got a little more flavour to it than a cheap lager; a lot more love too So, in need of a real bar with real people? Venture outside your comfort zone today to the Alamo Alehouse! R&R is an independent news source operating from Los Santos, with coverage across the city and its associated counties. 13. Crucial Fix Truly Fitting of Such A Title! Section I: Value The entry fee is very fair at just $250, just for coffees and it is just a cafe, saying that, you often see cafes with extortionate entry fees, more akin to a nightclub, so in comparison to their rivals, Crucial Fix really offers a good value for money in terms of their entry. I must say that the cafe is arguably one of the best in the city, it has the best taste, and on a personal level, I really loved it. The coffees themselves are free, with the only transaction being just paying the very modest entry price, meaning that, well, let's just say, you definitely won't regret going there for a nice coffee. Value Score: 5/5 Section II: Music The music is pretty good, it really calms the people and makes them enjoy their coffee at best. It's nothing like loud or quiet, it's just adjusted perfectly, to allow for room for improvement, my suggestion would be to go for a more inclusive feel, while the music is pretty good itself, it doesn't really feel fitting for a coffee shop perfectly, and this suggestion would allow for the venue to be more fitting for a wider audience. Following this, they will have the best atmosphere, for elders, young and teenagers. Music Score: 3.5/5 Section III: Staff There was only one female worker, but she did her best to serve the people. It was actually the real owner herself serving drinks to people, which is great. She was talking really politely and dealing with everything nicely and calmly. She took her time to serve, but that is understandable as the only person available. Staff Score: 4/5 Section IV: Experience After having a visit at Crucial Fix, I can say that they have the best coffee in town! I absolutely love their drinks. There was only one worker, so she surely took her time to serve the coffee, but it's alright. The entry fee is pretty fair and about the atmosphere and interior, it's really good. I loved the design and the interior itself was pretty good and fitting of the venue, to summarise, I would suggest that you all go for a coffee there, it's the best cafe in town. - Crucial Fix! 15. There's no reason to discuss it. We're in the process of establishing a continuity team which will determine what's what, LS's location included. The information will be available for all players so hopefully continuity will be able to answer a lot of these questions.

  20. Name: Mladen Stanovich Age: 44 Country: Serbia The story of Mladen is as simple as the man he is : He fleed Serbia war in 1993 with his parents (whose name became Stanovich instead of Stanović due to a mistake from the government employee who handled their arrival) and became a refugee in the United States. After obtaining his citizenship in 2007, he lived with the minimal wage, jumping from small jobs to small jobs. He was a janitor for the Strawberry junior school and was transporting the kids to their parents for few bucks whenever the parents could not pick them up, or at various sport events. Mladen decided few weeks ago to start a small tool store business where he would sell some of his tools and give lessons for nowadays young adults who cannot do anything by themselves when it comes to manual work. Chapter I : Starting his own business His first meeting with the bank did not go as planned, as he realized that someone has been using his identity to open accounts and buy an important amount of shares in companies. Confused, Mladen decided to not alert the authorities about this as he wasn't sure If he would lose his accepted loan or not.
