  1. Club History In the fall of 1990, southern San Andreas’ newest sport, golf, arrived in Los Santos in what was destined to be an important and influential manner. A group of dedicated and enthusiastic residents of Los Santos organized a voluntary association, which would lay the groundwork for the Los Santos Golf and Country Club, although it has adapted other names throughout the years. After nearly two years worth of planning, the club, based in Rockford Hills officially opened on January 27th 1992. Its Clubhouse, tennis courts and nine holes of golf has served as the club’s home ever since. In 1998 it rebranded itself as the Great Western Club and Golfing Society, otherwise known as the GWC. On it’s official ten year birthday, the GWC and Golfing Society opened up the course and played host to the great Los Santos Open Tournament in 2002, along with a record high of numerous charitable events held at the clubhouse. Reginald Berkowitz took home a grand prize total of $100,000 of the pool $175,000. Members of the GWC and Golfing Society take delight in outstanding golf and tennis programs along with a whole host of social calendar events. 2. Always glad to see more golf factions, it's one of the most unique faction concepts out there that remains consistently demonized due to out of whack OOC perceptions.

  4. I guess it's pretty unclear on what can be taken IC from the real world and what can't. We're roleplaying in the modern day, and as far as I can tell there's no real set thing from the admin team on whether or not we're roleplaying in the GTA universe or the real world. People reference real life events, places, et cetera when they most likely don't exist in Rockstar's universe because their games are set in a parody of the US. Personally I don't mind real life events being referenced IC through Facebrowser, people talk about esports, video games, politics whatever else. I think it gives characters something to talk about and reference, instead of having to just make up who our president is, for example.

  5. Feature Showcase: Hair Tattoos Information Hair tattoos serve as an addition to add to the existing character customization options. Along with the standard hairstyles which are widely available, you now have the option to choose one or more of these hair decorations that stick under the hairstyle onto the scalp. There are different variations for each gender, the system accounts for that and gives you the proper options. . Usage The first option has a small description and displays how that specific decoration looks on the character. Whenever you decide that you want a specific hair tattoo you simply navigate to "Add" below and press Enter. That includes it into a "wanted list" and from that point on it will stick onto the scalp. You can go back up and repeat the process, you can add as many hair tattoos as you see fit in order to give your character a unique look. If you can keep track of which hair tattoo(s) you have added you can navigate to the corresponding description(s) and select "Remove". That would remove that specific one from the said "Wanted List", on the other hand you could select the "Clear" option and start over. In the end, all that's left to do is complete the purchase and from that point on it will stick to the chosen outfit(s).

  6. Short description: Offer color variants for cats, fix cat animations Detailed description: Hi, hello! Currently, we have one color variant when it comes to cats, and the only thing it can do is follow you, stay where it is, or morph into Satan's spawn. My guess is that the wrong animation is set behind the command! ? There are not many emotes that can be implemented, but we probably can fix the broken "sit" command or perhaps add the following or at least, one of: Sleeping cat #1 (idle tail) Sleeping cat #2 (w/ tail swing!) Cat loaf!!! As you can see in this screenshot, there are three cat color variants available in the vanilla game. I am not sure if it's a rage limitation (as I only could find one cat ped on the list within Rage MP's wiki, but a developer might be more knowledgable and can indeed offer the color variants!) - but we can only spawn one of them on the server right now. Items to add: Replace/add cat animations within the "pet commands" box (seen in the detailed description part), add color variants for cats How would your suggestion improve the server? Perhaps not a significant impact, but options are lovely Additional information:

  10. You just need good players, boys. Especially those who can portray black gangs. Not R60s. There was a couple, but they left, mostly because of the noob factions all around Los Santos. And partly because of FM.

  13. I'd be all for this idea if it could be implemented properly, however, I don't believe we're currently at the point we could do that. The prevailing argument for it seems to be that it'd "create roleplay" which I agree, it would, but this would be for a small number of people at the expense of making an already disliked system much more complicated and unenjoyable for the majority. Previous posts have already brought this up, but I believe the amount of time and work that would be needed to maintain a list of insured vehicles is not reliably attainable. Insurance companies have hundreds if not thousands of employees and automated systems working full time that let them manage their insured vehicles. Here you'd have a few people working whenever they felt like it, attempting to manage things in a server with more than 20,000 player vehicles (according to UCP). Essentially, what I'm saying is that you'd need a way to guarantee service and the only way to do this I can see is automate it, which counteracts the whole point of having players manage it. Because of this, it is my opinion that the script as it currently is managed is honestly the best way we can handle it for now as a server.

  14. Properly developing a character before anything. Seen too many people create characters, and by the next week they're already toting assault rifles and pump shotguns like it's nothing. In my opinion every character should start off fresh. If I'm planning on portraying myself as a skinhead, I'm not going to make a character that splurges the N-word here and there with a bunch of political views out of nowhere. It has to come from somewhere. Same goes for Surenos who have a strong hatred for blacks or asians, or gang bangers suffering from PTSD and drug addiction. Every character shouldn't be as easily replaceable as they are now. Unorganized or organized, people have to put more research into what they're trying to portray as a faction. I'm not talking highest of the high, I'm just speaking of a decent amount that gives you the picture that you must sketch inGame. If people adapted more to the modern times than they are now, it'd cut a lot of issues that I've seen play out time and time again. A ton of people have an exaggerated idea on what "gangsters" do and how they conduct themselves, and it's only influencing others to follow in their path. Everybody within a faction in general should have their own unique story, and shouldn't be as replaceable as the next person in said faction. Every single person involved should bring their own unique personality and talent to the table, and should be in no way similar to the next person. That means that not everybody within a street gang has to be a drug dealer or a ruthless killer like so many people chase after on this server. It's like people think that gangs IRL are just full of drug addicted, PTSD having, mass murdering, emotionless killers when it's everything but that. When a faction's conducting itself as a street gang, they should move about as such. It's set in stone that you're a street gang, act like it. Violence has to bunker down too. The sync for fighting is completely raggedy at the moment but it doesn't excuse for all the senseless shooting going on at all sides, unorganized or organized. It's not as bad as it was before, at least to me, but it's still there. Melee in itself is just getting stupid, you have people carrying around wrenches in their draws and baseball bats in their backpacks everywhere they go. With all that being said, a lot of civilians have to know their place. I've been in countless situations where civs just walk up to a group of 5 during the dark of night asking for directions or just sparking up a random conversation. You have people driving up in expensive vehicles in the ghetto, then get wide-eyed when they're directly targeted for their possessions. If you're a civilian, act like it. No one in their right mind would drive all the way to the hood in a expensive ass car to cop a quick 5g, especially if they don't know anybody. If you know you have a higher probability of being robbed or shot in said neighborhood, why wouldn't you take precautions to better your chances on not being killed? I've never gotten that. Ever.

  15. Proper time and research going into a character before taking the dive goes a long way. And like others said, using extreme violence as a last resort, don't necessarily go in to kill someone. On the flip side of this, react accordingly to extreme violence. Don't go around committing crimes because a person's bored OOC - each choice one makes should have purpose to the character and be born from the character's situation and current state of mind. And for the love of God, stop looting guns/etc unless people are in a more appropriate or secluded area for it. Standing in broad daylight trying to find 3g of coke on a dude you just shot while your gun's still hot is just beyond obnoxious.

  17. This argument has been brought up a thousand times, been beaten like a dead horse a thousand times, and repeated. Your complaint about it stems from a video that a friend made, with his character driving up to work, or what you call a “party” at the construction site. Most of the NPCs there were in uniform, eating, on their break, on a HUGE skyscraper construction site that would realistically be busy and populated just like that. It’s not powergaming to make the city seem alive, like it should be. Now, it’s a different problem when you’re spawning in some ridiculous car, weapons, etc for pictures when you don’t own it IC or have any means to borrow it. THEN it could be considered powergaming.

  18. This is exceptional work and I was glad to be a member of the previous Faction Management Team that made this project come to light. I'm sure I can say on behalf of the entire previous team, we've left this faction with the best and most professional leadership that anyone could ask for in a roleplay server. I trust that you will be enforcing standards seen like no other in this community and it's awesome to see the progress that those past and present have put in to make this work. Good luck gentlemen, but regardless you won't need it.
