Server Rules: Questions and Answers

Nothing conclusive, but as far as the responses from admins go they are pretty much unanimous and what I can deduct from their answers/interpretation of the rules for these ads are;

  • Escort if legal would be allowed through /cad.
  • If illegal activities are behind the Escort services (prostitution), this is not allowed in /ad, /cad
  • Freelancer escort services are seen as looking for work ads, these are not allowed /ad, /cad
  • Asking for these services through /ad isn't allowed.

Hey there, any word on the situation that none of this is proactively enforced by administrators? Looking for work ads, escort ads, lockpick ads, are ignored by administrators about 90% of the time, unless it is reported by players. I appreciate that you aren't paying attention to this 24/7, but there are a lot of administrators on the server these days and every 10th /ad breaks these, or some other rules.

It's about focus really. I've tried to incorporate it in my time in-game. to always check and see what I can do the moment I log in. I can't however say what others will do and probably is something that needs to be brought up in a staff meeting.

When a situation is voided and people start requesting refunds for all their weapons and ammo that they lost during it, do you track down and REMOVE the original weapons? Or do we just end up with extra guns and ammo in the system that get duplicated?

Yes. If it’s a case of a firearm was stolen from Player A and is now in the possession of Player B, the firearm will be seized from Player B and returned to Player A.

If the original firearm no longer exists, then a new firearm would be created.

I'm not a fan of it either, all company related things should go in /cad even hiring staff. I've brought it up in staff discussions and we're actively discussing the situation around escort services in /ad and /cad.

I mean prostitution is illegal, in the rules it says you're not allowed to advertise illegal activities. You could also take it IC and just let the SD and PD catch them (quite easily when they advertise) and get them arrested. Right?

You could say the same about selling guns and drugs and all other illegal ads, but those are the rules that such ads should not be advertised in-game.

I mean people were given as many options as it gets. In the end for illegal activities FB is still your best friend. Just be creative, this is roleplay dammit.

Not tradechat WTB 2 lockpicks asap. The F is even that? (Yes it happens)...

So do people that advertise themselves as escort get warned/punished? (jailed/kicked)?

It's also unrealistic that the PD wouldn't actually do anything about it. It could also be fun RP to set up a undercover operation and just get a date with the suspect  and get evidence, and then arrest them. But as you said it's not allowed, I wonder why I never see them being punished for it.

They usually just get told that it's against the rules. Just like with verbal warnings, if it happens again, they get kicked or warned, and so forth you build upon those particular punishments. That doesn't mean however that they can't get instant warnings or otherwise. Everything is viewed on a case-by-case basis. And cops do chase those ads on the forums and facebrowser, but it's just not allowed to advertise those things in-game, meaning cops usually won't pay attention to /ads.

I know, there are plenty of options through In-game interactions, forums and FaceBrowser. People tend to try and find the easiest routes.

I mean all it takes today is setting up a chat group in IG phone. "Hey, know this or that? Or anyone has this or that? Yeah sure man we gotcha." Done.
